how do you manage as a pundi to be universally loved Dave none of us are universally L Jesus you know something I was only saying the other day to somebody that sometimes now you see you see some of the some of the comments and they’re so wacky and crazy like they’ve got no there’s no thought that’s gone into them just writing that is pointless even worrying about you know how much love you’re getting I literally come on to these platforms and the punditry and I’m just saying exactly what I feel you know I’ve already get Untold s already for saying C golden instead of C but I’ll deal with that because like I said I’ll stick by that because anything I say if it comes out that’s that’s what I mean so you know I’ve got no problem with that so when you say universally loved you’re never going to get them coming up in the street and give you the stick I get a lot of love outside which is nice

  1. I'm a toffee, but saw Arsenal Everton in 96 live. Was Wrighty's only game as Arsenal captain and he scored a worldy (goal of the month, was 3rd in goal of seaon behind Yeboahs best goals ever). Had lots of applause from our fans.
Then we beat em 2-1 😛

  2. Man u fan for over 31 years…. always loved wrighty… warrior on the pitch, just a geezer 100% in and off the pirch.. legend.

  3. I grew up as a Brighton fan, he is a Palace legend, I should hate him…but I don't, just love the guy, his enthusiasm for football (particularly the Women's game) is brilliant.

  4. I love this man so much he should of hosted match of the day by now its tragic, but the BBC is crap.

  5. To me the difference between Wrighty and other pundits is whenever he gives an advice or opinion he attaches himself as a player or manager or a person within that environment. As opposed to other pundit or even former footballer that seems to detached and acted as if they had not been through such experience, hence I think that why people feel him.

  6. Ian Wright is a real man – he keeps his troubled past locked down, is respectful, forthright & owns his errors. A great footballer but an even better man. That's why Mr Pigden respected him & found joy in his success. The football was important but its the man who was the true success. Got a load of respect for Ian Wright. Top bloke.

  7. [If it comes out my mouth, then that's exactly what I mean]

Palmer fan here, but people should be allowed to have opinions. Smh

  8. Because he consistently supports incorrect decisions and opinions against Arsenal to garner support. He is a bit fickle.

  9. I only love Ian cos I met him and worked with him on a TV show (Spurs fan and he knew), but I would still like him if I hadn’t. Would like to chat with Roy Keane, love his honesty. (“Baby…….” Ha ha)

  10. My family loves him and only me and my brother are Arsenal fans. My dad is a Liverpool fan, my mum and sister hate football but we love wrighty.
