A Golf Fan’s Dream Comes True When He Steps In For C.T. Pan’s Injured Caddie At A PGA Tour Event

Every golf fan dreams of crossing the rope and joining for a round at a PGA Tour event. Well, that’s sort of what happened to Ontario, Canada lawyer Paul Emerson at the final round of the RBC Canadian Open.

When Taiwanese golfer C.T. Pan’s caddie tripped and was injured on the third hole at Ontario’s Hamilton Golf and Country Club, the caddie for Pan’s playing partner, Shane Lowry, initially picked up Pan’s bag.

But when Emerson offered to help, Pan obliged, and suddenly Emerson was no longer just a fan watching from the gallery.

On their first hole together, Pan sunk a 20-foot birdie putt and responded, “Great caddie!”

On the fifth fairway, Emerson was replaced by a member of the caddie services team at the course, who was later replaced on the 10th hole by a professional caddie who lived nearby.
