we’re talking a little bit about fake Turn as opposed to real turn and what does that really mean well there’s a lot of times in the golf swing that you’re told that you need to make a big turn behind the golf ball but a lot of times we see players that kind of fake it and here’s a couple of fake turns so what we’re trying to ultimately do is we’re trying to load into our Trail leg on the back swing but there’s a lot of people that actually have some kind of restriction and what they’ll do is they’ll straighten their leg so they’ll straighten their leg and they’ll shift themselves this way well this really isn’t turning it’s actually tilting the spine a little bit more than it is turning so it kind of looks like I’ve got a turn but I really haven’t turned or loaded I’ve actually just tilted my spine now there are players that do straighten the leg but they do it slightly differently so it’s always important to understand but really what we’re trying to do and this is what we see on 3D biomechanics on force and pressure is we always want to load the trail leg and the feeling I like for that is imagine this foot and I’m trying to screw it into the ground I’m trying to screw it into the ground this way but it’s holding so the holding against the ground will help me Coil around this leg so to get a really good turn don’t always think about the trunk turning think about winding around this leg so basically what I’m trying to do is from this position here I’m trying to resist with this foot I’m trying to wind the thigh I’m trying to wind into the hip and then I’m trying to wind the Torso into the back swing and that is how you create a real turn the last thing we want to do is lose pressure in this leg and find ourselves tilting if we tilt we have to get out of this position and anytime we have to get out of this position we usually go the other way which creates a lot of this side bend that you see now there are a lot of great players that have side Bend there’s lots of great players that have tilts everybody does in the 3D world but what we’re really looking for is if you’re going to turn use the lower body as much as the upper body because I hear most people when they think turn they just think about turning their spine and a lot of times they’re tilting it’s a fake turn
