okay everybody Welcome the team champions from Li golf Houston 2024 clicks GC we are joined by Martin kimer our captain Kylie samoya Adrien and our Senior PGA Champion Richard [Applause] Bland I have so many questions for you so I’m going to start with you Martin move down the line Martin heading into the US Open next week go going back to Pinehurst where you won 10 years ago what does this mean to you giving you that momentum that excitement heading into next week um yeah I think you need to separate a couple things you know first for me individually I was um I was somehow happy with this week the way I performed I know what I need to work on um so that feels good going into Pinehurst um obviously with the memories from 10 years ago um I really look forward to go to a very positive place is in my heart um then coming here knowing we were doing well we were in good shape and we’re our form was trending in that direction that we want to actually pull it off and win this thing um I mean it made me it made me super happy you know it’s it means a lot for for us as a team and for me as a captain you know last two years has been quite difficult we have been so many times on the bottom of the leaderboard and you know I was quite unhappy with the the way I performed cuz I really I couldn’t really help the team for several reasons you know obviously the injury that that was a big one and finally my game is coming back slowly and that’s that helps the team you know it feels good that you can be part of a team and not always you know dragging the team down we have a good team spirit we all get along really well um I was very pleased for Adrien I’m sure he would have liked to made a couple more birdies coming down the last four or five holes but in general you know it’s it’s we need to focus on the positive things and you know he also he goes into next week with with good form the other two guys they go on vacation in New to New York uh play a little bit golf on the side I think so I look forward to go to the US Open next week with that positivity that we gained this week amazing Adrian you and I were chatting in the golf cart and you said to me typically on a regular Tour event you’d be back in the clubhouse pting right now and really pissed off cuz you came in second place but you’re really happy and excited tell us about that team element and what makes Liv so special yeah that’s that’s what’s what’s cool about Liv to you know to have uh three other guys with you on on the team and even if you don’t win or if if you don’t perform as as you want as you know individually you still have that U you know team standings and uh you know it’s great to have on Sunday four four four four scores counting because you know anything can happen and even though uh sometimes you know you you don’t play your best individually but you still want to uh have your team performing well and you still you know keep keep grinding and that’s that’s what’s what’s cool about the team environment and the team leaderboard so yeah I’m super proud to be uh on the team with all of these guys and uh super super happy about the win Richard can you sum up this feeling for us right now uh yeah it’s pretty cool um like you said I I’ve I haven’t experienced anything like that uh to do with golf um so um you know as we came off the stage you I said to these guys we are doing this again you know that was uh that was just yeah really really special you know I know we’ve had a rough kind of 18 months with it um but uh yeah was super positive about this team very early I knew that Martin would be back to somewhere near the player we know he is this year um and when that happened and with two other worldclass players um as I said in Vegas I think we’re going to prove a lot of people wrong this year and uh and uh and and it’s interesting like we me and Martin we were sat in Singapore after finishing second and we were yeah if I can say it we were pretty pissed off but I said to him look hey isn’t that great that we’re actually finishing second and we’re we’re disappointed about it um so then to come out at the next event and win um for one just shows you the group of guys we got the team spirit and what we’re capable of so uh yeah we’re going to do this again yes you will colie you came into this season obviously new to the ceks I don’t know if you kind of knew heading in you guys were kind of you know The Underdogs and kind of the Dark Horse and here you guys are now only a couple events in taking home your first team Victory touching that trophy for the first time tell me how does that feel knowing that you’re such a big contributing factor to the success this team is having um yeah I I was following Liv already before I before I got here and um of course I know how CS was doing last year um but this was the team where I wanted to join and um and you know seeing improve his form and health this year we knew that it’s going to you know boost the whole team um and the spirit among the team has been awesome and the caddies we all got along well and and the team managers out here they they all good take care of us well and uh um so you know we have really good group of people around us um so we we just got the this week you know the pieces together um we like we said earlier I don’t think we I at least I didn’t play that well overall in my opinion but but we got the the uh the pieces together as a team to get the get the win um so it just shows that I think the potential we have as a group of four four good players so um so I’m really looking forward for the last part of the Season Richard uh we were all in here in the media center watching everything go down and I made the comment to Yohan that you know I realized at one point you were in 30th something but you were over every shot grinding because every single putt mattered every shot mattered for you guys to take home that W and it was really special to watch did you feel that pressure and did you say you know I know I’m not contending for the individual but it’s so important that I have a great day for my team yeah yeah very much so you know I’m going out starting the day in I think in 40th Place or something like that so yeah my my week as an individual is is pretty much done but I knew we had a chance so you know I kind of I didn’t show up the first two days um whether that was a little bit of Hangover from a couple of weeks ago I don’t know but um you know I just wanted to you know put a shift in for the team today um fortunately I could do that but yeah I kind of I think the camera came to me about on the second shot and eight and I’m like okay uh I’m not doing anything really so right we must be we must be pretty good as a team so uh um so yeah it kind of but so yeah it put put a little bit of pressure on the last few holes um um but uh yeah I was just purely for the team today absolutely and uh so I’m just I’m just glad I could help out it showed and last one for me Martin this is the first time you’re touching the trophy we sat here at the beginning of the week at our first press conference and you said all I want to do is touch a trophy here are touching the trophy and you’re with your your best mates and celebrating as a team same question I had for blenny can you sum up what this moment feels like for you yeah obviously it’s a very proud moment that we were waiting for a long time but now it’s important to keep pushing you know it’s um the goal has changed all of a sudden I would say you know if you would have asked me three four weeks ago is top five realistic going into Dallas you know I would have said yes it’s always real realistic but it’s going to be a very very difficult path to get there um s Singapore we did well this week we did well and now the goal has changed to try to get to the top three spots because you know it doesn’t really matter if you finish fourth or 13th so top three is is the new goal um and as I said you know now is the time where you need to keep pushing you need to keep working hard cuz we only have two two and a half months left of the of the year uh for for all the lift events so we need to keep grinding and need need to make a proper push to give ourselves a a good chance to finish in the top three you know a win is nice and we’re going to celebrate tonight um but with all respect that’s my mentality when Monday comes you know it was last week so we need to keep going very German of you yeah we’re we’re on holiday first don’t forget that Monday of Nashville so uh so Martin over here I think uh on TV you said you were the only player up here with experience of popping champagne bottles uh how was that experience uh uh today yeah Richard asked me if ever did that and I said yeah I had the r upup i did yeah um k i I think he’s a dark horse I think he has experience I don’t know what Adrian does in Poland so I think he he threw a few parties there back in the day as well or in Dubai right now um it is as I said earlier you know it is such a great feeling to experience that for the first time you watch the guys 14 times last year 7 eight times in 20122 you know and you watch it on YouTube when you when you’re in the car back to the hotel I mean it feels shitty you know that if you we we we didn’t even get close so um and now for the first time this year we have good chances and and we we could win this thing so it’s not so much about the champagne it’s just you know it gives you a little bit more than than what you usually experience it it’s inspiring and it’s nice that we keep pushing each other um and I think hopefully for the next five six events that we have to play we can continue doing that and then we we can have a good winter but until then you know it’s it feels good in the in the spot where we’re at right now is it bler you you pretty much blood clicks blood ever almost ever since you’ve got to live were you aware that this team was the only team that had yet to to celebrate a trophy uh and did that did that weigh on your mind at all no I don’t think we’re we’re not the only I think I think other teams haven’t won yet isn’t that right individual or team sorry individual or team sorry individual or team oh right oh I see right okay right okay yeah uh I didn’t realize that um so I thought you were talking just about the yeah like as Martin just said you know it’s we’re all professional golfers and we want to win that’s what we’re here for first and foremost so when you see other guys lifting trophies of course you know that’s what you want to do um but uh you know I I think like you it’s easy to see that we were we were going in the right direction we were um and and and today you know we were able to pull it off and uh so yeah and what a great feeling so it’s uh very very special you seem to have a lot of energy uh in that sh champagne botle well I I kind of think Adrian went early I think he kind of I think he Martin anding got the the trophy in the air and I was uh well I think someone got me before the trophy even went in the air so I thought right well if we’re going we’re going so uh um but yeah uh just like you say just great you know we we’ll celebrate tonight Liv kindly put a bottle of Don par on in my hotel room um so I think we’ll be taking that to the restaurant tonight um not sure what the corkage Fe will be but uh uh maybe cleaks will pick that one up when we’ll see but uh no we’re going to we’re going to have a really good dinner tonight uh and then yeah Martin and Adrian will go off to Pinehurst um which I’m sure they’re going to do really really well uh it wouldn’t surprise me if they’re both in it come Sunday um we’ll certainly be watching um but yeah uh just can’t wait for Nashville live just keeps getting better and this is really for all of you but I wanted to ask you about a couple of stretches uh the first stretch kind of came Midway in the round uh the score was really tight on the team leaderboard and then you guys seem to all hit uh find another gear at the same time and all of a sudden you were leading by six did you realize at that time where were you aware that everybody else was playing was had hit a hot stretch during that time and maybe you see the leaderboard change quickly with you guys going up the top yeah to be honest I I saw the leaderboard on my sixth or seventh Hall and we were like four like 8 Behind or something so I was like okay and then I think on 12 or 13 Hall I look at the leaderboard and we were I think up by 6 or 7 and I was like oh this is nice this is looking good and the next time I I saw leaderboard was on my 17th fall we leading by two and I saw the guys on uh on 18th fall after my t-shirt and I I realized we must be doing okay so um you know my second Shel 18 I knew it was kind of difficult I mean important and difficult at the same time but um yeah know to see the guys on the on the on the Fairway supporting me that was that gave me extra extra confidence and extra you know believe in myself that I can do it and yeah I pulled it out C were you looking at the team leaderboard yeah I was actually well the last time I saw that was on 18 um and I saw we were eight nine behind maybe um but then you know I was able to Bud a few holes and and uh we came well after my bog on six my caddy said that we’re six ahead I said where where did that come from so um it was a big surprise and and I knew smash is right behind us so I was playing with Brookie um so he h a great approach shot on on the PA 37 so he bured seven and eight and I tried to somehow hold my pots I couldn’t but he hold his and and I knew it was a I I I knew that I needed some of those either one of those parts to to make it make it count cuz I I knew that it’s going to be a tight battle in the end um fortunately we were too clear in the end and uh and I was it was fun to watch Adrian play 18 um you know he had a his individual win in his mind but also the team team thing in in his mind so um yeah it was a interesting finish Martin were you watching the team leaderboard there was a time where you guys were up by six and then all of a sudden it did disar there were three straight Bogies of it I think by you guys I I think uh it’s one of those things you you don’t really watch for it you know it just you look at the leaderboard once in a while and then you see your team you know I saw the clicks always being fourth I’ve never never seen them anywhere else and then um I had a great stretch I birdied five holes within six holes um or five out of six and I think Richard made a couple birdies um I don’t I don’t know what K Adrian did but then all of a sudden as they said we were six ahead um and I had two holes to go and I said to my caddy I mean four scores are counting so a lot can happen but that a lot has to happen right now and then I I made bogy on on the first to and I thought you know you really don’t want to screw it up for the team you know obviously I was worried about my own score but the team is this is what what why we are here this why you know we signed up for for Live to play for the team event um the individual is great um but to celebrate together and to do that together this is why we came here and this this is why live exists you know to have that team competition um so as I said earlier I’m not really watching the leaderboard until maybe the last three or four holes and then things get serious yeah and Blandy that last birdie that you had gave you the two shot cushion did you realize at the time that that I I had no idea at that point we or any point we were leading by six I never saw like a I don’t obviously I was cuz I was starting completely the wrong end of the course I was you know with the guys not really doing much so uh I never actually saw I saw that we were like at one point we weren’t even on the leaderboard so I think a you know uh so I just kind of kept kept going as best I could and then that I saw just through like my position that you know we were tied second then first uh and I managed to make three birdies round sort of five six and eight uh but then I stuff up 10 uh and I’m just like oh God no I can’t do this and I just I gave myself such a talking to to the 11th and I said you better birdy this hop and fortunately I hit a great wed shot to 2 feet and and knocked it in you know not so I’m thinking well that at least that that’s going to help OB I had no idea whether we were one ahead five ahead I I never saw that point I never knew that one point we were six ahead if I’d known that I probably would have hit five iron off the te um but uh um so yeah I was kind of thinking maybe we were only one or two ahead I never never knew that we were sick so yeah I I wouldn’t have got so nervous great CW no anyone else so Adrien at 15 obviously that was the the kind of the the swing hole did you sense at that point that OB you’re still two shots back with just with three holes left so you still had a chance but did you did you think about the team at that much like you know I’ve got to really play well to to get back into the team environment or what was your thinking kind of coming off 15 well yeah I was only two two shots back individually so I knew there’s still a chance and you know I was doing my best to to make some birdies Unfortunately they they didn’t drop uh um but yeah 15 was the was the point where like I lost a little bit of momentum you know um but still you know I gave my gave myself a chance on 18 I didn’t leave it short so that’s all I can ask for and uh yeah Carlos played great great today really solid uh we kind of were battling all day you know just me and him and uh but yeah he played really great he really deserved it uh I hope I can get him next time and is this the summer of Blandy well no I think it’ll be the summer of the clicks definitely so uh but no you know I’m obviously obviously what happened a couple of weeks ago obviously I’m super proud of that but I’m also super proud of these these three guys here as well so uh like I said there’s there’s definitely
