how to fill an hour to talk about why Rory is just gonna be single bulleted on my card and that’s just GNA be it you know I mean it’s pretty hard to be uh creative with show content when you just are going to talk about one guy as the guy that you should be betting this week but we will do our best uh to try and F an hour for you guys uh about all the reasons why Rory’s probably gonna win this week yeah I mean look you can I guess we could pin some hope to the fact that Scotty didn’t play well on Sunday right so maybe we can get maybe we get like a Roy like performance like that now now I don’t have the highest hopes for that but we might you never know uh because when we were talking about last night I was like starting to remember how he boat raced the field at this specific course and I was like oh yeah and I went back and looked at it again today and I was like oh yes and then never mind the fact that he just he’s good at this event in general for whatever reason he plays great in [ __ ] Canada so yeah I’m a little terrified of anything any of my outrights at this point yeah I mean listen I’m kidding I didn’t actually single bullet Rory I never do that because I like losing money I like you know having cute little outrights that look really good on my card and they look great on through you know coming into like 10 o’clock on Saturday morning and then they just completely go to crap but hey um we’ll talk about all the reasons why probably Rory um is definitely a favor to repeat again I mean we talked a little bit about it last night where even though they pushed out a lot of the bunkers they lengthened it you know I mean a guy like Rory can carry at 315 320 in the air and just take out a lot of those bunkers out of play so he can just do exactly the same thing what he did last time it’s just a question of you know like we pointed out you know it’s not just he just bomb and gouged it missed a bunch of Fairways and just hacked out there he was six in driving accuracy so you know he’s still you know obviously gains a ton of distance on the field he’s you know about field average as far as Fairways hits so you know I mean if he’s just kind of blasting all over the map kind of like what happened last year with him at Oakdale at Le the first couple rounds yeah then he won’t win but no there’s some guys I want to talk about um this week um it is a little depressing though looking at this field and I just feel bad for the Canadian open in general I mean you know I I know that you we you know you I I think you half joked last night about the uh Corrupt Practices of RBC that on the show or pre-show I’m not even sure I don’t remember I think it was I think was both maybe okay well sorry well apologies RVC will never be a sponsor of the show but they just have been getting the shaft the last four or five years with this event I mean this is their event obviously the Royal Bank of Canada so you know a national open something that should be probably uh a tournament that more guys would want to win uh because it’s got a lot of Rich history these are pretty solid golf courses but you know you had Co ruined the tournament for two years then livb decided that that was going to be their first tournament ever was Canadian open week 2022 which you know In fairness prod yeah produced an leader work because those guys were extremely pissed off and motivated and then there was only like seven really good guys in the field and they all were in the top 10 so that was pretty good and then last year June 6 happened to completely take all the air out of the tournament and then this it’s you know we don’t have any well I mean you had the Grayson Murray news so I guess that takes some oxygen out of it but that’s that’s a whole different anim but even so though it just it’s placement on the schedule two weeks after a major one week before the memorial and elevated event plus the US Open in two weeks this is clearly the off week for a lot of these guys if you’re only here it’s only because you’re an RBC Ambassador and like if you move past like 50 60 71 it just gets really Bleak like it gets to a point where even with positionals where like top 40s on a bunch of bumps like plus 110 plus 115 not dead heated it’s tough this week it’s tough to pill out of Benny card I’ll do my best this week in order to you know convince you guys some you know of some uh plays I got a couple guys down the card but man it’s this is a pretty bleak tournament but we will do our best tonight to uh it’s a nice golf course though that’s a shame of it that’s a shame of it I it’s a great golf course I wish it was a better field that part I mean I wish it was a better field to play it but you know I mean if we see a couple of these guys you know at towards the top flame out then the weekend’s probably going to be uh a bit rough but um yeah we’ll uh we’ll see what happens so I talked a lot last night about what I’m looking for for you obviously referenced uh the 2019 RBC Canadian open so what are you looking for this week are you just going mostly back to the blueprint of uh What uh happened in 2019 as far as that typic golfer or are you maybe looking to maybe PIV it a little bit and go into World contrarian I don’t know I I honestly the Rory thing has me scared I don’t know if it actually [ __ ] matters like I really don’t like I don’t like I don’t know if it matters like I hate hate to stop this Joe that way but look it is what it is I feel like I feel like it’s any week right like who’s somebody who I feel like can get hot with the putter uh listen apparently form doesn’t matter anymore either uh because Davis Riley just [ __ ] won um I don’t know I feel like I feel like I’m kind of lost looking at this [ __ ] card and it’s like R’s just gonna take our money like Scotty does like I mean everything everything is primed for that apparently uh yeah I don’t know all the all the weird rumors about him dating that CBS girl or whatever company she works for are now squashed so that’s not going to be bothering you knew that was complete [ __ ] too yeah oh yeah absolutely they like I said I think R could done better um so uh yeah I mean I don’t know we we’ll see uh yeah so Cay like seah that’s a fun one like I feel like I’m just gonna I feel I’m just gonna go to my guys for the most part like I said I’ve only bet actually I told you two I bet three um and I’m probably GNA bet five and [ __ ] call a day and probably go a little heavier on positionals and that’s it like I feel like that’s I’m just I’m sick of getting my money taken by the top of the board and I feel like this is a prime position for the same [ __ ] thing but that’s the thing like the top of the board hasn’t really been taking your money it’s been either Scotty or Rory Scotty’s the top of the board I know okay but like Scotty Rory and then bums it’s not like last year where it was like sub3 to one and that’s just what you hard to it’s either Scott one or two guys or just a guy that is completely just out of nowhere unless you were just really drilling into this stuff and even last week at Davis Riley like I he caught my eye for something but it was like a t26 finish at like the Myrtle Beach Classic or something yeah it’s like that type of analysis so I mean it’s it’s probably GNA be that again it’s probably nothing in between but I’m just I I’m I’m a slave to how I construct these betting cards I like these ranges I’m just stubborn to a fault and I at some point it’s gonna turn around I can I can attest to that listeners he’s stubborn yes I am stubborn so all right well why don’t we take our first break and then do you and then we will talk about the most TI this week and uh there are some names on that I know you would you’re a Goring guy well I I’ll make the case for statistically the profile why he would be a popular pick and if he wasn’t on this chart Maybe would actually do it because it’s so ugly that he’s a loser I know he is but he is the third most tipped golfer this week okay all right you got one name another all right Tommy Tommy Fleetwood is not on the list strike one all right I know I think probably this is a case where people are like it’s Tommy Fleetwood he’s not going to win these odds are gross kind of Alex Xander a couple weeks ago with the PGA was true there’s an angle all right so I got one St you got one strike all right you got seven left oh boy all right so man that makes because I was gonna go with I’ll [ __ ] it I’ll just go with Lowry next I’ll go with Lowry Shane Lowry is number five on the list 22 to one that is that a guy you bet already no okay all right so that cross him off then on your list okay six more two strikes three and five who would be is is Cory Connor on the list Cory Connor is not on the list okay strike two okay all right that makes me happy all right you got you’re down to your last strike here I know who the hell’s the most tipped golfer man I swore Fleet would have norn would be the most tip so here let me go down a little bit okay they’re not gonna go back to Taylor Who’s going to be a stat dialing uh what about pendrith Taylor pendrith is not on the list you’re not very good at this game apparently not which is you’re not very good at guessing who the public is on okay all right what’s the list you only got number three and number five number eight there are three Canadians on this list by the way oh my God and [ __ ] [ __ ] you Pete and then there wasn’t and Cory Connor wasn’t one of them Cory Conor is not one of them Taylor so they went back they went back to [ __ ] they went back to him and then they went Adam hadwin and senson okay number eight McKenzie Hughes average odds 35 to one I can’t bet him anymore man that guy is just such a limp dick on Sunday like forget about it like like I don’t know why I got on him this year I never met him before and he is just he is like he is like strip club 1:30 in the morning straight dick teas forget about it like I think it’s because I bet him at valpar and you tailed me and that was uh another heartbreak yeah I got like this weird little taste and I was like oh maybe he can win nope he’s a [ __ ] loser y I went to Ruth’s Chris and he immediately hit in the water that was great all right number seven I don’t know if I get this right AE is number seven damn it that’s one of my he’s one of my guys really you’re gonna have to sell me on him because I don’t really love him from this golf course so I don’t really either but I don’t know man he can get hot with the putter he’s got that stupid broomstick thing now and I don’t know I like this mentality on his win right like he went out and he he didn’t get rattled by it he’s somebody who I feel like maybe I can trust on a Sunday you know what I mean like listen there’s so few and far between guys yeah make that [ __ ] face it it listen comes easier after your first win it does and whatever he hits it a [ __ ] mile so whatever like yeah I mean mile a mile in a lot of different directions but he hits in a mile I don’t know if it so it it it’s gonna matter this week so I know it’s gonna matter but I don’t think it’s that I don’t think it’s that I don’t know maybe he doesn’t I feel he doesn’t do it as much as we think does that make sense like I feel like I feel like one or two holes he buries himself and that [ __ ] his whole his so let’s put it this way if you look at the long term he actually tends to hit a pretty fair amount of Fairways his last 12 to 15 rounds he has been an absolute fire hose like he has been losing a stroke uh half a stroke off the team it’s mostly because he’s just can’t control the driver right now all right so okay all right number number six um Adam hadwin uh Redemption story for the cracked rib or whatever the hell he had after the security guard got tackled him uh on the green there okay you already got great form head up shoulder in let’s go all right number five you already got Shane Lowry number four saala I aiz 18 I should have known RBC guy coming off a good finish at the PGA a second in Harbor Town you got those crossover references right there you know I I tried using a similar line of strategy last year at Oakdale and it didn’t really work with sah but it’s a new year number three Alex noren you got number two Adam senson 161 odds unbelievably dumb look that’s why I thought Conor was going to be on there right so finally a Canadian broke through right like now maybe it becomes easier for another Canadian to win so you’re telling me that so you said three Canadians were on the list so senson hadwin and Hughes okay yes I have no idea who No One’s Gonna Be I mean look I mean AD Fenson basically is putting up a Cory Conor stat line right now he’s really good T Green Camp Putt so why take Cory Connor at 20 to1 when you take Adam Fenson at 60 to one that’s probably the logic because because Cory Conners wins the Valera what does that do with this this golf course nothing it has nothing to do with it Steve I was all right number one and we’re talking about for the show this is the anniversary of your heart attack Congratulations by the way yes thank you yes one one year one year ago I had a heart attack in the morning it was uh I blame it on the trash plate definitely not from years of alcohol drug and smoking uh definitely not from that from the one trash plate I ate in Rochester New York I you know I I I don’t appreciate the slander for the garbage plate but uh it’s it’s not Fleetwood because you already tried to gu Fleetwood it’s not Fleetwood but it’s another I know but that’s who I had the on but it’s another English guy number one who it’s Aaron Ry oh [ __ ] off he’s the most tipped he is the most tipped golfer this week unbel like a sign ific margin too really yeah I’m gonna fade in every match like it’s a pretty large slice of that pie like it it doesn’t have percentages but I would probably estimate that’s like probably like 20% so probably one in five people he [ __ ] stinks I mean that’s not great now look as listen as and I’m gonna show this comment as Michael Manning has pointed out actually the tipsters weren’t that bad last night Keegan was on the list last week Brian Harmon was on the list but guess what they didn’t win did they none of them won none of them one yeah exactly so if you want to use this guide as positionals and we’ll talk about each one I mean there’s there’s definitely something to each of these ones based on some things I’m looking for this week they want to look for but uh what was the stat that only one guy I think this this year on the tip chart is actually won I think it was actually AE the one I actually got it was um I the fact I think Aaron Ry is the most tipped something is wrong I feel like yeah so I look I he played so he he came top five last year I think but it doesn’t even matter because it was was it was feno and Rory last year right because I think I had a feno ticket wasn’t it fow and Rory coming down the stretch at the Canadian yeah oh no well all right now I can tell you know you had a heart attack I’m going to give you a pass no it was Fleetwood in Nick Taylor last year oh my God I’m [ __ ] I was thinking about the um uh I was thinking about a different Sunday that he went insane on what what what what am I thinking it might have been 2022 maybe that’s what I’m thinking yeah yeah oh yeah I was with the guy just told the [ __ ] off Pete um I literally got out of the hospital and then and then we went to an indoor range because I was like I’m not going out like to play around Golf and we were watching it and I had Nick I had [ __ ] Fleetwood and he laid up like a [ __ ] [ __ ] Fleetwood oh God what an [ __ ] okay I can’t believe I bet him again all right um well that was good so all right so just to recap the list here just put a nice bow on it number number one was Aaron Ry somehow number two Adam senson number three Alex noren number four sad deala number five Shane Lowry number six Adam hawin number seven Ox baa number eight McKenzie who just a lot of Heartbreakers on that list so a lot I you do then bet that single bullet if not then you know what not for me either but whatever I mean this is a absolutely garbage field so it just comes down if you want to do that or not so not I’m not gonna tell you one way or the other to do it it’s not for me but if you want to do it whatever do you have any other comment or you just want to just look at me no I just agree with you actually yeah that’s it yeah what I have to add it’s [ __ ] 375 325 all right yeah you guys nobody who’s listening to this is betting that like we just skip right past it okay fine all right so you guys are 21 s tagala Tommy Fleetwood you got tagala on the most tipped chart you got Fleetwood who is not on the most tipped chart so does that make you want to bet Tommy Fleetwood considering what happened I already bet Tommy Fleetwood you already first bet first bet I got him 18 18 okay do you do I need to schedule you having another stent put in on Sunday again look here’s the deal here’s the deal I literally came out of the hospital like I convinced the nurses to get me out early I was like the heart attack should have killed me and I was out 48 hours later because I was like standing pretending that I was fine to get the because I hate hospitals um and I had a Tommy ticket I thought that Sunday was gonna go and [ __ ] put me right back into the goddamn hospital when he laid up I [ __ ] was like God Dam it like I remember being so mad and people like relax man relax don’t go back in the hospital unbelievable the uh I just uh yeah I I’m going back to it he’s got to win at some point he’s so good at these [ __ ] things and it’s technically not the US it’s North Amer America but it’s not the US he’s got to win one of these things right he has to at some point he’s going to fall in I mean listen Xander fell into a win at the PGA and everybody laughed at his odds and that’s probably no one bet him so it’s a similar situation this week no one seems to be betting Tommy at least although I I I should I should take that back a lot of the mainstream like golfing articles are are taking Tommy this week like all the PGA experts picks like all all of that stuff so so it’s not like it just seems like the golf gambling Community who loves to bet losers every single week um is not betting Tommy because they’re looking at him saying he’s a loser I’m just gonna bet him top five top 10 because he is a loser what what what is my name for him Steve what what do I call him uh Flash and Fleetwood flid Fleetwood that’s right look I know listen I know bet but BK I know it’s a [ __ ] terrible B I’m just I’m appealing to the golf Gods uh that they couldn’t even give me a Tommy win after almost dying if I didn’t bet him now and then they gave me the win that would be the golf Gods double giving me the double for your Rockets so there was no way I was wasn’t betting him after I lost last year okay um I’m not betting Tommy I will consider him for a positional I’m just gonna die on that Hill I bet him top I bet him top five and top three okay fine because he’s not he’s not winning everyone like he’s just not okay all right so sahith 18 or 20 to one what do you think about that bet this week no I listen I get I get the reasoning behind it I do because he’s another one I don’t think that I don’t think he sprays it as much as we think the problem is is that we don’t see enough golf shots to know that like you L have to go like Ho by hole and and see like how Wild he is um I get it but no I’m good I’ll pass go guy I don’t I’m gon pass okay I think the problem with sah is I think three or four rounds he does a pretty good job keeping it you know online at least of the driver but there’s just always one round where he just completely loses control with the driver and these got the RBC Canadian open has been setting up this these golf courses to try and at least make it a lot more penal to miss saw happened last year at Oakdale where they were just throwing a bunch of fertilizer on that rough and if you missed a fairway the ball was basically gone they said Canadians were nice we got we’ve been getting a lot of rain in the Northeast the last couple days and all this spring so that’s going to be really thick rough that they got going on here it’s not gonna be like last week where they had trouble growing grass and it was patchy so I just think it’s gonna end up coming to get him I understand he’s playing great he’s got a second at Harbortown I think this is a little bit different animal I think you got to use the driver a little more here than harbort toown that’s I think why he was able to get away with that there so I that’s a pass for me this week and maybe it’s because I have a lot of Scar tis because I I bet s along these same reasonings last year and it went terribly at Oakdale so not betting him um and then you got like five guys between 20 to 131 Alex norn Sam Burns Cory cnor cam young Shane Lowry you bet who do you like out of oh so I so my my second bet was Cory goners at 22 see you bet so let me get this straight you had bet y that’s right I Tommy yes correct and Cory Connor this week yeah okay all right make the case for Connor’s in I mean look he he should I don’t know man he should just win more he’s he’s so good T green he can if he can just net out with the poter like he’ll be fine I don’t like his history here but I feel like maybe that’s the pressure this is all narrative streak man like [ __ ] you don’t like like now that the pressure is off yes I have a glut for punishment the uh now that the pressure is off from a Canadian actually winning it like I mean dude I mean you would have thought that Corey would have won this before Nick [ __ ] Taylor right so I don’t know about that I don’t know maybe Nick Taylor was playing pretty well last year fine but Cory carers is a better golfer he’s a better golfer but you just kind of set it right there it’s gonna be on your Tombstone hey if only he can putt a [ __ ] for real why do I only bet these [ __ ] guys who can’t putt all my favorite golfers guys who can’t punt Shane Lowry Corey Conor Keegan Bradley hey M I’m a herck Stenson guy so I’m the same I’m the same in the same boat as you so so depressing I don’t give a [ __ ] like look I said like I think Ro’s gonna end up winning anyway so I just want to bet some guys who I want to root for what who I think can actually win if he if he go okay all right I haven’t bet anybody under 30 to one yet the guy I fig I thought you bet cam young I was I was I was try I’m TR I mean I may bet cam young I’m trying to be I was trying to be patient this week so I figured cam young probably was not going to get a l steam that was a guy I was looking at also looking a little bit of Sam Burns this week so gross so drives are really good he’s got length actually showing a little bit of control this year with the driver you know he’s pretty good on shorter courses good with the shorter irons he get H with the putter too so you know I I think he’s starting to drift a little a little bit towards like 25 28 to1 and in this field he’s got he finished six I think a couple years ago back at St George’s I don’t think there’s a big difference between this golf course at that golf course so not in great form but you know I mean we just saw last week Davis Riley could turn it around who the hell did he lose to when he went [ __ ] wet for you on 17 Nick Dunlap dlap he couldn’t hold an amateur off and you’re gonna [ __ ] bet him he would be on my forever never bet again list if he did that I’m a little more forgiving than you are so uh Sam burn Fleet I bet Fleet would again and he was on my never bet forever that’s true Burns is somebody I’m probably I’ll probably talk myself into tonight I’m betting him um but I can see with him and then cam young I mean at some point is he gonna win nope nope never gonna win okay never go to an onour you know I mean for the real nerds out there you get the Harry Cole connections between Harry Cole did lot of work at Royal Liverpool and cam young finished top 10 there and you know Harry Colt designed here too so I mean it’s a lot if you like Sam Burns you probably like cam young except that cam young can’t putt so maybe that’s the tiebreaker so um but otherwise though I’ve been down the Shane Lowry road too many times that’s probably just his shorter irons he’s been rolling the rock a little better lately too so he’s never played a Canadian open but he’s been pretty good at these types of shorter golf courses kind of like what it produces somewh leaderboard is what like a Windam Harbor toown produced like 2019 place so I thought 401 for a three-time winner on the PGA tour who if he does hit his ceiling is better than a lot of these bums around him uh and you know look I mean like show fortive Hollow he played okay last week too I feel like he’s kind of like close to putting it together so I’ll take Tom Kim in this field where I know he’s gonna be hitting from the Fairway a lot uh which I think is gonna be pretty important this week so I bet him this week yeah I don’t I won’t I won’t Sho any for that because he’s he there has been tournaments where he has put up a lot of birdies so that’s a consider I I’m just I’m an apologist for Keith Mitchell too so you really are I I I hit him on his one he’s only won once right yeah has only won once and I hit him then and I’ve wasted I’ve burned all that money that I’ve won on him betting again like I’m just done he’s not GNA win stupid visor like stupid rich kid like with the guy and if he finally wins after breaking my heart at Rock and mortgage last week before I went to Exile and breaking my heart at TVC Sun Summerland when he hit it into the water on a par
