there’s a lot of expectation but on the other side you can’t count Italo out because he knows how to win events he’s done it before pre um plenty of times is a word champ so I think it’s going to be kind of similar to the match with JN and Gabriel which whoever um commits less mistakes is on the better waves he going to take the win win or lose jaty was always right there to support him as we look at the start of the final John Florence getting the first wave almost off balance on the foone ball all day today the best in the world have been getting tangled up on this foone ball what happened here I think the problem was just on the beginning of that first bump he knew he had to really put a lot of effort in it he almost came out but um haai goes down e a low turn on a glassy bomb a puff of spin sends the 2019 World Champ to safety he looks back sees John went down and he’ll work his way back into position lost the control on and on the wave behind EO just on a perfect just as a dreamy wave as you can get out here as you see it taking off almost air droing but just knifing it perfectly doing that big pump slowing himself down after that and coming out perfectly and not chenin coming out with priority because um John Florence is going to have to get out out around the whole Reef get back out there in a few minutes such a giant barrel and so well executed for icho Ferrera two minutes and then Ito just did this let’s see what happened right here just a beautiful stretch out wave and I mean amazing approach from him calculated smart kept it calm as you see it throughout the pumps he was taking his time and as we catch back up with live action seeing that drain and spit and no one riding down the inside corner for EO Ferrera taking his first fall in the final now starting to bend over the wreath priority with Florence looking to break the combo driving hard through that first section total control to guarantee he makes the exit big smiles from John Let’s have another look yeah that’s a beautiful answer from John right there first massive pump going through the fumble um using the rail when he was coming out of the barrel as you see it right here massive fumo he went through almost lost his front arm was kind of going downwards he was losing balance but um he was very stable on his board by that rail that he was holding and he was able to come out and you notice is a very deep barrel for JN it’s because he’s coming out with his hand on ra because usually he’s so relaxed that [Applause] everyone screaming in the channel EO locks in drives through the first section he’ll reappear grabs the rail lays down the carve and flies [Applause] away the heating one wave and for me in my eyes I don’t see him bettering to score as you see right there the wave was kind of short didn’t have the energy that we’re expecting no fum bow rid beautiful wave but he’s not going to improve his situation and now and now looks like we’re going to have a chance Florence with priority putting himself really deep going for a huge score seeing him survived the foam ball puts his hand to the sky and almost goes [Applause] down that’s when that wave bends away from everyone watching on the boats but they see him reappear and they absolutely let out a huge cheer bent backwards towards him so much that look that fumo it’s hitting him even though he’s outside of the barrel so it’s going to be interesting to see what the judges think I think he was a bit in front um even though was an impressive ride from him as you see it right there he starts to slow down he gets in the fumbo but on the side angle he’s inside the tube still but on the front angle right there as soon as the fumo hits him you can kind of see him so yeah it’s it’s up to the judges to decide but that was a very critical wave I think he going to fall short um but beautiful W for John right there and he looks stoked almost fell putting his hands to the sky just shows us how much he wants it Jon again on his way back out nothing there watching how close you are to the foam ball the intensity of that wave brought that score into the nines John again deep on this one minute 35 to go this thing’s just guttering out and now shutting down on world number one Ferrera in his first final of the Season his first final since last year to the day at the surf Ranch where he was runner up and now officially takes this one out Italo Ferrera your champion of the CH TD Pro presented by outerknown and meating John John Florence in the fin I mean that was massive from ealo nerves of still as we mentioned um whoever committed list mistakes on his heat was going to take the win and it basically was Flawless throughout the whole heat John on that first wave the 2.83 if you would have came out of that that would have been the the title for him but unfortunately he was just a little a Touch Too Deep on the position as he took off and yeah he it’s it Del um day today that was amazing huh all all event the consistency was amazing I mean unbelievable S toiti pro by outter on Champion back on top feels good I really am waiting for this moment you know because I have been like winning and then like different type of waves but not in barrels and then I was like looking for that and then I missed this event last year and um finally I got my wi here and I’m really really stoked look this thing oh oh Jesus and then I just want to say thank you God for everything I just need to believe in God and then the other things just come you know and I just want to say thank you my family and friends and yeah that’s it um job done so right now it’s time to Tin in El salad it’s pretty soon let’s go hey paran’s my friend it’s all good let’s [Music] go first Final in over a year here his first win since 2021 you’re champion of the chaso TD Pro presented by outerknown Italo [Applause] Ferrera that up my [Applause] friend EO your smile is electric you’re absolutely GL you accomplished so much your best result here before was a quarter you finaled today you surfed against the best in waves like this can you put it into words how you’re feeling right now yeah um that was a really really special Heat against John and I’m so inspired of you buddy and um yeah that was a great heat and all I think start in the morning like early you know like for the first like couple waves to warm up and then we started heat like around 8 something like and it was like a long day and I’m really happy to make this final and then win this comp I’m waiting for that moment because um I knew that that was like possible for me you know and then I have been like doing like really perform really good performance in the last couple of years and yeah so now is my moment so I’m really happy for that oh great to see I mean a finals day anywhere we know you have a lot of energy you’ve always showed us that but waves like we had today in a reinforcing swell round of 16 quarters semifinals and a final were you always feeling your best throughout the day yeah if you have a one more heat we can do it yeah I’m still with energy yeah um yeah for sure but last night I was like so excited like with like so hard to sleep because on the last couple days I was like okay no waves like cruising sleeping like around 7:30 or something and then wake up 5 and then yesterday it was like pretty hot you know like because my heart was like pumping you know and I was like oh tomorrow it’s going to be big it’s going to be big it’s going to be big but yeah I was like really happy you know I just want to say thank you um Dell and then and then the Red Bull thank you guys for the support and U I’m really happy I’m just want to say thank you God for everything and yeah that was my moment thank you let’s here foro here it comes everyone give him a little bit of clearance out front here we go [Music] wow that’s the best one I’ve ever seen you do I got my heart going man you can surf one more heat
