hi my name is Derek Etta I’m an odyssey brand ambassador PGA Tour coach and this is a game I call Lea frog it’s for elite speed [Music] control so basically what I’m trying to do is I’ve got two markers back here the start and the finish and each ball has to get past the previous ball and I have to start by getting it past that first marker if I leave it short if I hit it all all the way past the last one the game is over so if I start this drill and I go okay I’m just trying to get it past that first marker to me that’s pretty good right but now I got to get it past that next ball okay now we’re in business so each ball has to go past the next one so that to me that’s no good I I just lost I just lost two and half to 3 ft of distance and I’ve only got three balls in there so when your pattern for Lea frog looks like this and you’re standing over putts that break and you can now match your speed to your line with ball after ball after ball after ball maybe you’re doing a drill going uphill reverse it and do backwards Leap Frog go all the way to the end and leave one short leave it short leave it short leave it short if you can fit balls in a pattern like this your distance control for these types of mid-range birdie putts or if I hit a bad chip and I hit it to 12 ft my speed control is going to be elite
