hey guys Messina Richie if you want more pars but you’re not crystal clear on the difference between mass and pressure then this tip’s for you I’m also going to clarify how soon you set your pressure in the backswing and then how soon you set your pressure in the downswing right those are really two important factors that help you stabilize so you can kill it you ready let’s get to it all right so I got a great question this is the best place to ask your questions is write in the comments and I got one about pressure right so how soon do you move your pressure on the backswing and then how soon do you move it back in the downswing and the other question related to that what’s the real difference between mass and pressure all right there’s a big difference all right this is I have a hundred percent pressure on my trail leg right now but I haven’t moved my Mass all right this would be moving your mass and pressure all right so I’m moving my body over and I have 100 on my trail leg all right with the golf swing the minute I take it out of the gate boom I got 70 80 percent boom lead arm parallels just a good indication a good benchmark a good marker to make sure that you have all your weight stabilized on the backswing complete rotation and before you even get to the top you’re already moving your pressure to the front all right that’s the butt move all right the butt move is designed to help you move your pressure efficiently and when you look at my swing I do it very early all right before I even get to the top I’m already gone with a butt all right but the butt move is really just engaging the ground that’s the purpose of the butt move the other purpose of the butt move is to help you really stay in your posture all right so that’s the difference between mass and pressure someone that moves their mass and their pressure look like this they tend to over rotate the hips they’re getting way over here like that their hip their shoulder line is really level and they really struggle with solid bottle striking all right so we don’t want to move our Mass yes we do move our Mass but you want you really want to focus on your pressure right you really want to rotate your torso so you stay centered you don’t want to move your mass over here all right so just a good rule of thumb focus on your lead shoulder make sure it’s in the back foot quadrant don’t let it pass the foot right if you’ve gone past the foot you’ve gone too far all right same deal on the downswing so before I even reach the top I’m already gone all right see the best players in the world do it boom I already moved my pressure all right my focus is my butt all right it’s not for everybody if you want to move your pressure by just feeling a little kind of like a re-centering that’s a popular word just re-centering you can also use the word lean in I’ve used that in the past all right whatever gets you there whatever initiates the transfer of pressure all right but we’re not transferring our Mass we’re really just engaging the ground all right that’s a really important point when it comes to engaging the ground with pressure all right focus more on pressure then moving your mass all right so let me know if that makes sense that’s a really important point foreign [Music]

  1. Perfect explanation Christina, very well demonstrated by your exaggerated body movements, I must work on this. Many thanks.
