Adam hadwin let’s take a look at his highlights and how he was able to spin it around mirfield Village hadwin on the first this for birdie from 29 ft out and filling it up oh lots of long putts going in on the first today we’re going to skip a few birdies now he’s at five under on the 15th this is his third wedge work a little bit easier playing out of that first cut don’t have to worry about the ball spinning quite so much but still Landing in the right spot leaving it underneath the hole these greens are very pitched so it’s very important what putts you leave yourself hadwin cruising this six under and not the longest player out there only averages about 295 yards off the T so his midiron game which is not been great this year was spot on today making the 17 17th look like an easy Par Four thought that was going to drop that was a birdie he would bogey the last hole of the day but a 6 under 66 he’s up by W some of the other notable names on that first page of the leaderboard Colin morawa had it to 5 under at one point he would conclude with a 4 under 68 hadwin’s round did have a couple bogeys so here’s hadwin on what was the round of the day yeah eight birdies around this place the wind is always tricky um there’s not a lot of margin for error out there on a lot of holes and um I took advantage of some some good clubs just good stock yardages where I didn’t have to do a whole lot which is always a nice feeling and uh was able to hit a few close and and make a couple uh big ones longer putts on the front I feel pretty comfortable right now over the golf ball with kind of the entire game um I I never felt rushed um I never felt like the as I kept making birdies like I was getting ahead of myself or anything like that um very comfortable and so um I feel in a lot better position to kind of handle any sort of adversity that may come or when it comes I think um because I feel like it will come around this place um there’s just too many holes where like I mentioned the margin for error is so small that uh you can feel like you hit a good shot and and get absolutely uh screwed so um I feel like mentally I’m in a really good place right now to be able to handle that and just kind of move forward and accept it um and so we’ll show up tomorrow get ready and we’ll see what it holds
