we start with England who kicked off the European Championship preparation with a 3-0 victory over Bosnia and Hero at St James’s Park several key players missing from the starting lineup of the match was more about Gare Southgate deciding on which seven players he must cut before Friday’s deadline for the 26-man squads well Southgate handed de place in the starting 11 with Alexander Arnold TR Alexander Arnold in Midfield while M gay Ole Watkin and Connor Gallagher also started the game Cole Palmer gave England the lead from the penalty spot on his four debut 5 minutes from time England made it 2-0 through Alexander Arnold’s volley Kane then added a third in the final minute he’s now on 63 goals in just 90 games for his country and Gareth Southgate has to now submit his squad on Friday night decision that we understand the significance for all of the players and um so we’re giving it the respect and the consideration it deserves really to to make um Fair um right decisions where we where you know of course it’s always going to be uh subjective so um and we’ve got to balance what we need in every area of the pitch as well so that’s the that’s the added complication it’s not just um you know getting the best individuals in there’s a positional element to that as well um but we’ve got really good options and um I think we’ve come through tonight without any physical issues which was really really important so really not long is it until England do have to submit that 26 final Squad to UEFA that’s on Friday and they also face Iceland at Wembley that night uh final sad will be announced on Saturday that’s the head of England traveling to Germany on days ahead of the Euros then of course it all gets underway June the 16th where England fac Serbia in their opening group game followed by matches against Denmark and Slovenia well not too many definitives from last night but Cole Palmer enhanced his chances and not only making the final Squad but maybe starting in England’s first game of the tournament yeah well Kane was trying to get on to take it by the way but that was never happening so uh um it’s uh look he he showed moments of what he’s about it’s of course his first start for us so um he uh I I think there’s there’s more to come as he feels more com comfortable in the group and we we get to uh feed him the ball as he needs it he can obviously play in a couple of different positions so he’s at a fabor season and there’s no reason he can’t have a big impact with us well if Palmer does make it it’s likely that Anthony Gordon Jared boen James Madison AER a and Jack greish will be competing for the other spots Gish has played the least amount of football compared to the others but did provide an assist to Trent Alexander Arnold after coming off the bench we know the qualities that he has and um absolutely what he’s he’s capable of doing so that’s uh not not in any question as I said yesterday he’s a player that we love having with the group group and uh for us is a a great character to work with clearly I would imagine Eber is caught the eye with the way he started the game and uh the way he Glides past people and the power that he shows well West Ham forward Jared bone played the full game and admitted he was nervous heading into the match as he tried to secure a spot in the final Squad every time I get this opportunity is you know trying to do everything I can to to get in the squad that I didn’t H manage before but uh we’ll see does it make you want it even more yeah of course it makes you want it but I think you got to find that balance like we just spoke about of not doing too much you’ll always have nerves I think if you don’t have nerves you you know nerves mean that you care about something you want something to happen so you know of course I get nervous before games and you know coming into here but I think that’s that’s normal um you know the group that we’ve got here the the players the the coach and staff make you feel really welcome and it’s you know a great group to be to be involved in so we’ll see on uh is it Saturday I think so one more game to go before that um you know another good test for us before before the first EUR game so these games are important to gain confidence get get the good good results and good performances and I think there’ll be a lot of clamor tonight for Eber J to stay involved after his first half which was quite bright and he went past a few players but then Jack relish came on and looked very bright too and so did James Madison so it it feels like an increasingly hard decision I think from afar for GTH Southgate obviously he them in training too but of all those four kind of attacking Midfield playmaker types I think Palmer will probably now be at the top of the que I think Palmer definitely gets in I think that he might take greish I think he knows greish is is work with him a long a long time he’s not the best of Seasons but he knows what he can do he knows he can rely on him in the in the biggest games the semi-final maybe even the final of Inland get there you know Everet CH has had a great game tonight has had a great season but I think Seth get likes players that he knows can turn it on in the big games the big occasions the pressure occasions I don’t think A’s had that experience yet with Crystal Palace and to a lesser extent you could say the same at James Madison well that’s a forwards what about the defense then Southgate has had to deal with a long list of injury concerns England were without Harry McGuire John Stones Luke Shaw and Kyle Walker yesterday players that have been regulars in recent tournaments which begs the question over match Fitness of all England Defenders Jared branway has played the most minutes in the Premier League this calendar year Luke Shaw at the bottom of that list with just 267 minutes and almost four months since his last game so England are relying on Shaw to quickly get back to match Fitness G Southgate confirmed he had been progressing in training but aside from the Manchester United left back only Joe Gomez Kieran trippier and Jared branway have played in that position this season Southgate started trippier last night and ezri coner even moved there for parts of the match we’re spinning a lot of play trying to get individuals into things manage minutes perform well and everything else we we took Lewis off just as a bit of a precaution so uh the best way of dealing with that was to put ezri in at uh at Center half which I think is his strongest position anyway um so no he’s he’s you know that’s his third cap he’s done very well in all three um that adaptability is is really helpful to us [Music]

Watching that game it is obvious who plays football at a higher level and who doesn't to be honest. Trippier, Trent, Grealish, Kane were easily above anyone else. I liked Wharton and Maddison too but a lot of this squad can't really string a few passes together. Easy for Southgate to cull players.
☆Maths Profs say Southgate should name final squad Tues/Weds as it will give a big psychological advantage over France who plan to name their squad on Thursday.
More time to mentally prepare really make a big difference & thats why teams who win their first 2 games in the group stage usually win the tournament. More time to get ready mentally for KO stage, practice penalty shootouts & heal up physically from playing in humid exhausting summer heat.

That was a flat performance. What is the reason Southgate refuses to play to his strengths? Their is an abundance of attacking players, that's your strength. Trying to win each game 1-0 is counter productive and no the strength of the talent available. Winning 3-2, 4-3, and 5-4 same as winning 1-0. Pressure your opponent to defend your attack and score on their chances. If you have an Aston Martin DB 12 open it up and see if your opponent can keep up. There should be no pedestrians on this team at any position. McGuire's selection is going to bite England in the butt. Success should be marked by winning trophies not qualifying out of group stage. England should be beyond settling for low hanging fruit. It's 2024 offence rules. I understand you have to defend to a certain degree but the goal is to score one more goal than your opponent. There are squads out there that are not offensively as gifted and the England squad so they have to rely on their ability to defend, slow the game down and bore you into submission. This is not the case for this England squad. Make it a tack meet!

Eze is arguably england's best footballer in terms of raw talent, unteachable abilities however majority of the english people would disagree with that and the manager too, england feel like they're doing him a favor and he should be content with just being around, eze should ditch england and represent Nigeria where he would be adored and loved, nigeria is a African giant in desperate need of a world class number 10, if eze help take nigeria a lil further than they achieved in their past world cups, like the semis, Balon d'or on the way, he will be in Madrid or barcelona because with nigeria his talents would shine through and there will be no debate, he's at crystal palace for a reason, ain't no way Eze plays a afcon with nigeria and be at crystal palace, I really think he should run because his career might take huge hit representing them with all due respect, he might not get to the level his talents truly deserves.
