Mackenzie Hughes pays tribute to friend Bill Bath who died last month by wearing his hockey jersey

Mackenzie Hughes is paying tribute to close friend Bill Bath who passed away last month by wearing his old jersey each day at the “hockey hole” during the RBC Canadian Open

Jersey you wore at the rank the last couple days what’s um the significance of that so I had a really good friend of mine pass away about a month ago and uh his name is Bill baath and that’s one of his old hockey jerseys and uh so that was really cool I I I’ve been thinking about him a lot last month or so and um his wife and son are been out here watching me and so it’s uh it’s a bit emotional when I even when I put that on to think about him and um but I know the the last time I was here he actually carried for me um so a lot of great memories with him and uh his family so that was kind of the reason behind the the Jersey he was a family friend from like growing up you you yeah I met him when I was 11 years old and uh he’s been a big part of you know my journey and just someone that I always trusted talk to and so yeah
