[Music] [Music] [Music] what is up everybody welcome back to another episode of the MLB swing for the fences show here on the runer sports YouTube channel Sunday morning June 2nd talking today’s what do we got here a 11 game nice big MLB slate Fast and Furious these slates all the games start within what an hour and a half of each other get some early action in Bryce how you doing on this Sunday morning ah better expected drinking a bunch of coffee got a got a little drunk during that UFC card so normal Sunday show for us yeah yeah after uh the the Sunday after a UFC pay-per-view always going to be feeling it a little bit usually up bright and early you know like five coffees and six uh six you know tumblers of of water and and you’re feeling a little better so good to go here happy to get back in the action kind of a little bit of a boring UFC card frankly the uh mahv uh sub in the fifth round over porier got me close to back to uh to to be in whole to even for the night so wasn’t terrible was looking pretty Grim for a while the last few fights uh were better for me um but no uh no big shippers or anything like that for UFC we’ll try to get there today in uh in baseball and it does look like a a really fun slate I will say at least looking at the ownerships for pitching uh the four guys that I like the best are projected to be the four highest owned pitchers on the Slate which is never never ideal for me you know obviously my my preference would be my favorite pitchers to be people that other people aren’t on but doesn’t look like it’s the case with pitching today we’ll obviously talk about uh pitching hitting everything else and we’ll go game by game as we always do we’ll go by the DraftKings order of games for those following along at home and uh with that let’s jump into it first game of the night Minnesota and the Houston Astros Simeon Woods Richardson pitching for Minnesota he seems like I know the results have been good he seems like a pretty pedestrian kind of average-ish arm in a lot of respects to me uh nothing wrong with that but not necessarily the guys I’m looking to roster a DFS Hunter Brown on the other hand uh has has rebounded pretty nicely from that disastrous outing early in the season I know he was uh in my core in his last start at Seattle and that was a big night for uh for RPS I know JBC had the monster night AP had a big score on the single entry and yeah Brown came through in that one think he’s got a decent chance to do so again against a pretty strikeout happy twins team that I I really don’t fear them too much offensively um and Brown’s still cheap I mean he’s 7K on DraftKings building lineups this morning Bryce it it did seem like the savings at pitcher went a long way when I was trying to get in the bats that I want to play on this slate so for me Hunter Brown a squarely in play at 7K looks like he’ll be pretty popular seeing him uh Sabers got him around 25% that feels about right to me on this slate what are you doing with brown Richardson Astros and twins brce uh well I really like Hunter Brown if you don’t like Hunter Brown then I think the twins are a viable stack against him um you got Kyle Tucker moving up to the leadoff spot for Houston which I think is like a general positive for their team um I he’s crazy expensive I don’t think anyone’s really going to play him I think Richardson is due for some regression here um and I kind of like a Houston stack I think they’re GNA go super super low own just because of their prices uh so definitely like the use side of this game uh plan on being over Hunter brown one thing note is I think the Peralta Brown combo at pitcher is going to be like fairly popular just because like if you’re playing Hunter Brown you’re doing it to get bats and you’re or you’re doing it to get Peralta like you’re doing it to get like crazy expensive bats or you’re doing it to get Peralta with like a solid stack so just something to keep a note of um my my dummy team I made before the show I know we were talking about it and Chad had both of them actually so it’s not something opposed to doing but um I think if you pair brown with like someone other than Peralta you might get like a little different just like off of brown builds um I don’t have tons of interest in twins here just because you know I like brown but uh if you’re not playing him I think they’re like a decent like stack against him just CU like he’ll get super high leverage no one’s going to have him and uh yeah I mean they’re not like an awful team but they’re so strikeout heavy it’s like kind of a game where like in my 150 I would want to take kind of both sides like because I think like brown either has a really good game or really bad game like there’s no there’s not like tons of middle ground in my opinion yeah Brown gives up a lot of fly balls kind of relies on on trying to you know keep those in the park and uh it’s it’s a good time to bring up and this is just uh you know me talking off the top I don’t haven’t actually seen the data or anyone post about it but the The Baseballs were absolutely flying uh yesterday I believe uh I think every game but two went over the total um and you know home runs this year in general have been down 20% uh over a expectation from last year and there’s been some you know people kind of chirping about that people want more offense and I don’t know I mean yesterday was the the first day of June right I’m not saying that this for sure happened but you could see a sit I mean it’s happened before where they switch out the balls midseason and the baseball starts flying and you it’s happened a couple years yeah no it’s happens frankly most years they’ve done it even in the postseason before so it’s certainly not Beyond MLB to do something like that and I don’t know the start of a new month right maybe they say oh yeah June 1 uh we’re we’re in the summer now let’s let’s s out the baseballs let’s get them flying let’s I’m all for it if if they did it I I much prefer baseball I think it’s way more exciting when we get more scoring more runs more home runs um so we’ll see uh I did bet a bunch of overs today on this Theory um so you know again most likely probably not true but it is something to keep an eye on because if it does prove true it’ll be a nice Edge for us going forward um and you know maybe maybe the power hitters get a little bit of a boost at I bring it up with Hunter Brown because he is a guy who could potentially give up quite a few home runs um and wood Richardson so far hasn’t given up much power against him but I like you said I think there’s regression coming for him he is a guy who attacks the top of the strike zone I do think uh he he should be giving up more home runs than he is that top five for Houston looks good Tucker bregman Alvarez Peña and Meyers all have some pop in the bat no Jose uve obviously today but I’m with you I think that the Astro stack as a contrarian option looks good to me and like I said if you’re not on Hunter Brown a lot of people will be the twins do have plenty of power in their lineup strikeouts too but I do think it is a situation where you either want Hunter brown or maybe you know want at least a couple bats probably against him that’s Minnesota and Houston let’s get to Tampa Bay and Baltimore up next this one in Camden Yard is going to be really nice day for uh for hitting in this one 80 degrees humid winds blowing out in Camden Yards uh we’ve got Zack latel pitching for the Rays uh yeah he’s a kind of a control artist not really someone that I personally like to stack against I think you can take power against him if you want to and then Cole Irvin Lefty for the Orioles uh again kind of similar to latell but pitching from the left side not going to walk a ton of guys uh in theory right-handed power plays well against Cole irvan but I almost never play right-handed power in Camden Yards where just the the you know the home runs go to die in that left field monstrous or yeah cavernous Outfield so uh I’m pretty low on this game in general the Orioles Lefty power bats look pretty good to me uh but they’re really expensive and there are other spots that I do prefer to go playing my usual five teams so I don’t think I’m gonna get a lot of this game in my line what about you Bryce Oriol and Rays it’s more of a 150 spot for me uh in general uh like I’m not going to ex out either pitcher but I’m not high on either on either guy here um and then you have the hitters it’s like I like them I don’t love them like I’d prefer I think they’re going to be like higher own than e to be honest uh you know it’s just really good hitting weather in Baltimore and people love to attack that but you know you you’re going against and what I think is a much better pitcher like I think Woods is due for more regression than these guys but it’s not like these guys are going to get you a ton of strikeouts or anything so I’m kind of low on this game overall more of a 150 play like I’m not taking out three or five mans um you made a good point about the lefties at Camden obviously but um yeah not not something that’s going to make my my main team or like three max for me be more of a one 150 play um you know if you have if you have 20 if you’re playing like a 20 max type of deal like I might have you know 5% like one five man of each team but uh not a game I’m particularly high on in general I think there’s better spots to attack and um we’ll get to some of the better pitchers that I think have a lot more upside than these guys but yeah good real life pitchers good hitting weather uh pretty good offenses uh should be an interesting game but not one I’m really to attack here either yeah same approach for me we take time to answer this question so pretty good on the the DK up two promo I’m sure a lot of people get that that have you know the the DK sports betting app basically you win the bet if your team uh gets up two runs at any point uh I’ve had a lot of success winning these ones generally I want the road team right they get the always Road you get the first chance Y and you want to go against shitty pitchers yeah against a shitty pitcher and you want underdogs too right you obviously get paid better so Road underdogs against a shitty pitcher who have a good top of the lineup and then maybe they have a shitty pitcher themselves right so they get up to and it doesn’t matter and you win it early so that’s yeah just a high-scoring game has more variance so like you know I don’t know if anyone would be ever a dog to the Rockies and KES but like that would be like the perfect situation like say you get like I don’t know the Rockies best pitcher against the worst offense in baseball in like a month or two and the Rockies are somehow favored in a baseball game but yeah that would be like the perfect situation 100% And I do think uh that promo is certainly uh you know plus EV if you if you do kind of play it right like using the general strategy that we talked about so good question there happy to answer it and uh yeah go get that draft PS money uh Detroit and Boston Red Sox are up Nexus One in Fenway Park uh we got Brian B pitching for the Red Sox he’s been okay uh nothing too special and then Casey ma pitching for the Tigers here he’s been he’s been bad man I watched his last start uh what was that against Toronto didn’t get a single strikeout really hasn’t generated many strikeouts at all this year and really over the course of his career I think he’s number one overall pick but just not really any good negative points in each of his last two outings and uh going to be a tough spot to pitch in Benway today it is warm humid some winds blowing out one of the better days for offense that we’ve seen in Boston all year long uh you gota like I think this Red Sox stack looks really really good to me against Casey M uh you can really play any one against him he doesn’t have too big of splits either way uh of course uh Duran aru Des lead the way Emanuel Valdez hit two home runs yesterday one of them was like one row into the you know the PES it was like the rafhaela game when he hit two dongs the other day yeah um so yeah the Red Sox look good the guys you want are for the most part pretty expensive they do have Dominic Smith in there I believe hitting third at 2400 he hasn’t done much but you know if you’re sacking I think it’s kind of hard not to include that for the savings um so I do really like the Red Sox against Casey uh Tigers against beo um I don’t know I haven’t decided there does look like lefties against beo you can do some damage with so you know maybe a cheap Colt Keith Riley green is is clearly their best hitter uh he he’s a good option he’s expensive though at 5,400 uh what are you doing here Bryce because I do think we’re gonna see offense today in Fenway a nine total Red Sox minus 145 or so what you got for us I’m all over both teams all over both teams uh I think Detroit’s uh kind of a deeper field tournament play for me like if I was three max they’d probably make at least a mini stack for me uh really like the Red Sox obviously I definitely plan on being over in Detroit on Detroit uh especially the lefties you highlighted like I’m I’m hoping Riley green gets like you know people get scared Away by the price but you know if you play Someone Like Hunter Brown you know it’s not that hard to like fit fit him uh one thing to note on the Red Sox is that uh Jaren Duran has not really been running I think it’s kind of hard for him to pay off his tag unless he gets like you know three or four hits because he’s not going to hit for much power um probably more of like a stack option for me as opposed to like a oneoff or like three like if I was playing three Red Sox he wouldn’t make it like if I’m playing Five Stacks I’m obviously including him but um until he starts running again I just think it’s really hard for him to pay off that tag and obviously plays better in fiveman Stacks uh even with the good hitting weather in Boston so uh I think Dom Smith is gonna be fairly chalky I like I’m not playing cash I Know I Know Travis is doing our cash stuff but um you know I think Dom would be a very hard fade hitting third in this team uh I know one base their first base is always loaded but uh it’s simply way too cheap for him and uh you know makes the stack much more affordable so if you wanted to get different on your Red Sox Stacks uh you know I think not playing him would be like a super contrarian Red Sox stack because I think almost every Red Sox stack will have him so yeah yeah but I I like the Red Sox a lot in general today and um I’m definitely high on Detroit too uh well mat mat’s in on this game so yeah yeah I’m with you on Dom Smith I think if you’re playing Red Sox Stacks yeah it makes sense to include him cash games yes uh I don’t know if I’d play them as a one-off you know if I’m not playing uh a lot of Red Sox in any individual lineup I do think he’s kind of more likely to go off if the team does around him and if so probably have one Red Sox it’s not going to be enough so yeah that would be my approach to to Dom Smith he does certainly stand out uh you know his team one of the highest totals uh one of the cheapest starters in any lineup today so I get it with dom Smith but certainly no guarantee he’s done almost nothing all year long it is a little a little strange that they’re even uh hitting him third at all but that is Detroit and Boston Oakland and the Atlanta Braves up next this game went absolutely crazy yesterday uh those of you that had Chris S I was uh I was right at the field with Chris S him on three of my five lineups I think he was right around 60% owned in most contests that didn’t work out s had been just fantastic all year long and you know uh it’s it’s baseball every pitcher has some rough outings and he got I mean it wasn’t you know sometimes a pitcher will kind of get unlucky give up some bloops and just things don’t go their way infield singles that kind of thing that wasn’t the case for S he got legitimately nuked by this A’s team uh who does have a lot of power I mean they hit a lot of home runs uh they were not cheapies yesterday they are capable of doing damage they’re also capable of swinging missing a lot there’s a lot of strikeouts to be had in this lineup Ry we’re going to see Charlie Morton I think come in you know one of the four highest own pitchers on the Slate uh we were talking in Discord you know on the on the uh his last start against the N I think it was against the Nationals and we were like he was chocking that start we’re like man pitching is horrible today I don’t really want to play Charlie Morton chalk he’s just not he’s just such a volatile pitcher he just completely l loses uh you know his his release point at times can’t throw strikes he got hit around and that one gave up 12 hits it’s absolutely absurd but this is a good spot for him and I do think Morton is pretty has a pretty good chance of bouncing back I I do think he is pretty good chock here even at 9k I’ve got interest for sure uh just the strikeout upside is so high and you know maybe they uh maybe they had their big game yesterday and uh we’ll slow down in this one so I like Morton uh on the other side Luis Medina going to pitch for the A’s uh his first start of the year had a knee injury he’s been pitching in the miners he did get up to 72 pitches in his last start so should be mostly a full go obviously in that what the game finish I think like 11 to nine both teams kind of burn through their Bullpen a little bit so I think they’ll ask Medina to kind of give him as many innings as a can now it’s probably only be four or five I can’t imagine he’s going to go super deep into this game you gota like the Braves here obviously had the big offensive game yesterday in the loss I wouldn’t be surprised to keep them go keep it going for the Braves so Michael Harris in the leadoff spot Matt Olson you can really play anybody though against Medina he was pretty bad last year pitched almost a full season and just uh pretty much struggled all the way through it so Braves make a lot of sense to me not really on the A’s here uh if you played him yesterday probably swimming in swimming in some cash today but I don’t think I’m going to them on this slate what are you doing here Bryce with the A’s and the Braves so I think the weather is something to watch here uh you know if the game doesn’t start in delay I think there’s possibility that it gets delayed mid game which should lower the ownership on Morton so you know it’s hard for us to predict this you know two hours out um definitely check check in with Discord or check in on Discord with us but uh something to watch on W could get his lower ownership lowered significantly plus with the A’s coming off a really good game you know people love playing daytime A’s I think it’s a pretty good spot for Morton though I I don’t have the PTSD that a lot of people have from the Braves through the last couple weeks so I’ve been pretty over on the Braves offense General uh want absolutely nothing to do with Medina once again if I was playing cash Michael Harris simply too cheap I think he’s going to be one of the higher owned players on this slate so like I don’t it’s not the same spot as Durant because like Harris is still running I think he has more upside than him it’s like I wouldn’t like not include him in like my mini Stacks specifically or anything just something to note uh you know he’s way too cheap like people people look that price tag and be like oh he should be 5.4k yeah so uh yeah I I think it’s decent shot uh overall as the Braves though I mean Medina is trash in my opinion and uh you know the thing about Oakland is like they they’ve used so much of their Bullpen that like the Oakland Bullpen is lowkey good it’s like you want to face you want to face the starters and get into like the bad Bullpen because like when you when you get to the good part of it it’s the one like huge strength of their team so uh I think it’s a huge positive for Atlanta that like Medina will be asked to do as much as possible here like even if he’s getting hit around so um definitely buying the braids today looking at the Oakland Bullpen it’s uh they used uh six relievers yesterday uh they didn’t use Mason Miller but he did Pitch three days ago and threw 33 pitches in a blown and Save in that one so he’s also only gonna throw if it’s close yeah like I’m not really worried about him it’s like kind of the rest of the guys because like if you’re getting to Mason Miller you’re probably screwed unless it’s like a 10-10 game or like a close game yeah kind honestly kind of a little bit of a dire situation for the A’s Bullpen where not only did they pitch yesterday most of them pitched back on Thursday as well so I think you are 100% correct they’re going to ask Medina I think Medina’s throwing 80 plus pitches no matter how it goes even if he gives up 10 runs I think he has to throw yeah he’ll have to wear one and you know honestly a potential game where you see a position player pitch the pitch the eighth or eighth or wouldn’t be the ninth inning because it’s in Atlanta but yeah it’s uh could get on I think for the Oakland A so certainly a bump to uh to the Braves bats and listen anyone that pitches like the the data is very clear pitchers Bullpen pitchers pitching you know back-to-back games or when they’re kind of worn out they’re not as effect just kind of the same way starters wear down during a game uh so the the the Braves do look pretty good here I know they’ve been not great to us this season but maybe that’ll turn around with the uh the summer months coming in Atlanta and briefly on the weather look it up while you were talking I don’t think there’s going to be an issue in this game I think it would be a brief delay if anything uh not that you know I’m sure people will still be a little bit concerned but could potentially lower the ownership on Morton as you said and again I don’t I haven’t looked this up but yeah if I had to guess he would be one of the pitchers that I would think would be most likely to come back out after a brief delay right he’s he’s ancient he’s been around forever let Morton throw until he [ __ ] his arm falls off yeah which is one of the big positives about playing him but uh yeah in general I play Morton weather pending uh it doesn’t look bad for hitters like the game’s gonna play it just depends with an in-game delay and if if it gives us a ownership discount on Morton that’s all the better I’m not I’m not too worried about it myself so that’s Oakland and alad really interesting game here I think you could do a lot worse than uh loading up on the Braves hitting pitching and uh yeah go go braids in that one I’ll certainly have some exposure myself let’s get to Pittsburgh and the Toronto Blue Jays Chris Basset pitching for uh Toronto he’s been pretty mediocre this season uh he does give up a lot of power to left-handed bats Brian Reynolds O’Neil Cruz I think are interesting plays against him then Quinn prer on the other hand or on the other side rather for uh for the Pirates uh he’s not very good he also has pretty severe splits where you want lefties against him for the most part problem is the Blue Jays don’t really have any lefties that you want very much I mean vobach is just not very good weird to me he even kind of is still on a roster like he’s you know just like a completely useless player except for power hitting and he doesn’t really hit for power anymore so I don’t really get it he isn’t in the five hole 2900 on paper a good matchup not sure I want to use Vach and then V the only other Lefty down in the eight hole and he actually has some like weird reverse splits so I wanted to like the Blue Jays more here but ended up probably Crossing them off my list not that they not that the righties can’t do damage against prer but anytime I see what looks like a true big split I usually go a different direction uh so this game probably not gonna have a ton of Interest I think Basset would be an okay play but I think they’re better arms on this slate I’m pretty down on this game for DFS purposes for the most part what about you Bryce Blue Jays and Pirates I don’t mind it quite as much as you uh I’m not a huge Chris basted fan uh I know the Pirates are really good matchup so I’ll have some of him in my 150 but you know he’s not making like my top three teams or anything like that uh good point with the lefties here in general uh I don’t really know what the rays are doing with their lineup but you know I think you’ll get far show with like no ownership hitting out of the eight hole um if you do want to play him so I think he’s kind of an interesting like not oneoff but like stack option just to get yourself different from other Toronto Stacks I I I struggle with this game because it’s not going to make my top three teams but either side but uh you know I do kind of want to be over in 150 so you know I’m looking at about you know 5 to 8% on Toronto and then like slightly slightly under 5% on Pittsburgh I like Pittsburgh more as Minis and one-offs as opposed to a five man but yeah I you know we can’t talk up every hitting hitting team today so uh Toronto J Miss is a cut for me kind of kind of like you um Basset makes my 150 pool Priester does not and that’s pretty much all I have here yeah uh like I said Reynolds Cruz I think are two pretty strong plays against I think they make it I I think this game makes better like one to three man like one offs and three man Stacks as opposed to fiveman Stacks in general but um if you do want to play Toronto fiveman don’t let me talk you off of it so yeah yeah I mean obviously bass or prer could blow up against anybody but his his numbers versus left versus right are pretty Stark uh so he’s been solid against righties and then just awful against lefties I wish the Jays had more viable lefties in the lineup buts as you said is hitting fifth it’s like that guy other than being out there for like [ __ ] bobblehead KN because he’s fat and he makes easy bobblehead is like the only reason I can think that he’s on a roster yeah doesn’t doesn’t make a lot of sense I’m sure probably won’t last long he seems like he’s on like three different teams every year yeah Washington and the Cleveland Guardians are up next this one should be interesting good hitting weather in Cleveland not super hot but it is humid and winds blowing out in Progressive Field normally doesn’t get super hot there you know just the I think the lake weather or whatever so yeah uh good spot for bats here and we were talking in the Discord Bryce Nationals look pretty good to both of us against Carlos Carrasco who I mean he’s just he’s just kind of bad at everything right you don’t really need and you can run on him uh you know the Nationals I you know I assume we hadn’t really talked about a reasoning but I assume you like the Nationals because they’re running too like they’re running almost every opportunity they get I know we’ve bet Nationals stolen base props a decent amount and you know it’s been paying off uh I think it’s a good leverage spot too I don’t think anyone’s really GNA play the Nationals uh for those of you who have saber Sim little insight into like how they’re thinking uh they really like National Stacks in general too it’s not just our massive brains that like it the computers like it as well so uh definitely goingon to be over on the Nationals uh Jake Irvin’s probably going to be over owned in my opinion um coming off that massive last start I think uh that was last game that he absolutely nutted I think he had like 10 strikeouts or something like that yeah against the Braves um I think he might go over him just because of that uh definitely plan on being under him the Guardians are a really tough match up and uh it’s better hitting weather in Cleveland than it has been so uh you know wind’s blowing straight out it’s not like crazy warm but uh plan on being over the Guardians once again they’re kind of like Toronto to me as to where it’s like a little harder for them to make my my three team pool but I would rather play them than Toronto they’d come in like behind Boston and Atlanta for me but uh but ahead of Toronto and then uh Nats are some of my favorite uh leverage play on the Slate yeah the guardians Guardians look good Jose Ramirez Josh Naylor the two guys that really stand out to me as as awesome plays they’re obviously both defensive but in the three and four hole you could even do just a a two man there I don’t mind that and like you said the Nationals uh pretty much their whole lineup looks good I think yeah people just aren’t aware of how aggressive this team has been on the base pass I mean Jesse Winker who is not yeah like a stolen base guy I don’t even know how he might have more stolen bases this year than he has in the rest of his year career combined he’s got 10 run as fast as Rubio yeah it’s nuts Lane Thomas who’s missed a month of the year has what does he have 13 15 steals already third every time he can it’s crazy like they’ll still third they’ll still second and third it’s a I think it’s a team wide green light for the Nationals right now I think they’re I think literally they’re a strategy if you if you think you can steal a base go steal it these guys are being super aggressive so yeah Thomas will run win will run Luis Garcia will run Abrams uh Jacob young down at the bottom will obviously steal senzel could run like it’s it’s almost all of this lineup Carrasco is gonna give up probably a ton of base runners I mean he walks dudes gives up hits can’t strike anybody out anymore gives up power uh it really really is an awesome spot for the Nationals so glad to see you’re on board good chance Nationals make my you know my main team certainly will be on at least one I have a I have a mini stack of the Nationals uh mainly base Steelers on uh on my main team but you know I could definitely see going to five Nats yeah for sure you can EAS easily play five years you’re gonna get them at what like sub five percent like no really be playing them they are uh they are very cheap uh favorite three are that 2 three4 or Thomas Winker and Garcia uh put probably Abrams fourth uh and then the guys at the bottom of the lineup that’s nice too because they F they feel weird positions like they fill infield positions that are kind of tougher in my opinion to fill today yep and I’ll say this too you don’t you know if you’re on a different stack you don’t have to stack this team they’re not going to be owned in general so they do make for good oneoff they can steal bases so they don’t need their teammates necessarily to you know to drive them in to to score big points so yeah I I would certainly recommend mixing in the Nationals at the very least and five maning them I think is is very very much in play and then uh just to wrap it up the Guardians yeah certainly a fiveman is in play but to me Ramirez and Naylor clearly stand out as the two best plays on the Guardians if you’re uh you know making Min sacks or whatever yeah I I hate I hate stacking the Guardians when uh Jimenez is not in the lineup because he is so much upside like on the base paths in there and then David fry my man David fry also yeah I mean it is a Sunday you know these guys you know Sundays are unique in this sense but yeah makes me like them a little bit less yeah for sure that’s why I’m kind of kind of focusing just on their two big bets there uh Texas and Miami up nextus one in Miami uh as always kind of a lower total uh for games in that Park but a little bit higher today with two pretty bad lefties on the mound Andrew Heeney Trevor Rogers pitch an eight and a half total uh Rangers sitting around minus 130 uh both of these pitchers you can certainly attack uh with power bats I think is is the big thing uh right-handed power in particular plays well against both these guys heene has kind of given it up to lefties over the course of the last couple years too but mostly with a lot of walks kind of a weird profile from him um I don’t love this game Bryce I really don’t see I mean you know of course the Texas guys seian adelise Garcia Jonah Heim seager’s been hot left on left you could play him here if you wanted to um but I just don’t like this park and I think there are better spots to go to so I’ll be pretty low on this game overall wouldn’t be surprised to see either of these especially the the Rangers obviously could do some serious damage Rogers hasn’t been good but there are other spots I like better personally where do you stand on Rangers and I was kicking myself for playing the Rangers the other day over the Brewers um I think it was Friday night when you Steve and I had the show and you know he was talking up the Brewers I was talking up the Rangers and you know I ended up on the Rangers instead of them and you know that was kind of painful part just sucks um obviously like you can play adults against the left he is always a good play you know no matter what park you’re in but uh yeah kind of smaller stacks for me in this game uh don’t mind Heeney as off of uh Hunter Brown uh he’s definitely going to make my pool today and you know even if you want to go double cheap I think that’ll be kind of a unique build because you know I think if you’re paying BR if you’re playing Brown you’re probably paying for paying for pitching somewhere whether it’s Peralta or someone else so I think uh I think double double cheap at uh at pitcher would be kind of unique with them uh but yeah I plan on being over Heeney here for sure likely under the Marlins I I get that they’re so cheap and that you know I don’t think he has a single game over 20 DK points this year like he hasn’t been good but I still believe that the upside is there uh Benny markets kind of agree with it so I don’t mind taking a shot on him you know if you want to play some Marlins cheap Stacks uh they’d be more three mans for me than anything else but uh not my favorite play but I I get the reasoning behind it yeah the and I want nothing to do with Trevor Rogers yeah with you there on Rogers no thanks the the lineup is pretty bad and they have like no they’re super uh undisciplined like super low walk rates which can be a problem for Heeney so um yeah I I can get behind the Heeney play at 7300 I think you’ll get them pretty low owned uh and yeah he’s cheap and that savings like we talked about it does go a long way on the Slate so I get that I still prefer Hunter Brown even at the higher ownership um but I do uh definitely understand the he play Let’s go to yeah I’d be saying I’d be saying to play both like I still like Hunter Brown I just think it’s kind of an interesting build when you do both for sure yeah yeah makes sense let’s go to Arizona and the New York Mets up next uh another good uh weather game for hitting 80 degrees 10 m per hour winds blown out in New York against uh for the Diamondbacks and Mets here pretty much a tossup up at the betting market for Brandon F versus Jose canana lineups look pretty normal um yeah I think I think the offenses here are interesting Brandon fought not a bad pitcher by any means but still someone you can definitely Target uh specifically with opposing left-handed power uh he’s given up quite a bit of of damage to lefties uh Francisco Lindor has been swinging a good bat I think Brandon nmo is a decent play DJ Stewart is cheap uh so yeah I don’t mind those Mets bats I think not going crazy with it maybe more as as you know uh players to kind of fill out Stacks one-offs that type of thing and then the Diamondbacks I do think are interesting against Jose kintana who uh doesn’t appear to have a lot left in the tank at this point uh you can really kind of play anybody against him he’s just not a guy who misses a lot of bats uh hasn’t given up as much power as you would think to right-handed hitters over the last over the course of the last couple years but I don’t know if I really buy into that in general um so yeah I think the the diamond back side is probably the more interesting one to me um I think this game will go really low owned overall I don’t think a ton of people are playing these pitchers or bats here so could be a decent contrarian game where do you stand on Dbacks and Mets Bryce uh I’m super high on the Diamondbacks as contrarian options uh not a huge canana believer uh like Corbin Carroll for 4.5k who has not been really doing it this season is like the type of player I love to buy low on I liked him in three mans liked them in five mans uh something to know jock is definitely going to come in uh when the MS bring a right-handed relever in it’s probably going to be for gritch uh if I had to guess I mean they could Shuffle some other things around but uh I think gritch is you know he’s cheap but he’s a pretty huge pinch hit risk here so just something to keep note of um and like you said they’re going to be super low on so you know it’s not going to take a lot to get over on them uh you know I’d struggle playing them on my main team but like I would definitely consider like a diamondb thre man at least in uh like a three max situation and plan to be over in my 150 I think the Mets might go a little over owned here if if anything uh not not a huge fan of the matchup for them specifically like I’d much rather spend you know extra teams on like Boston and like Atlanta and like some of these teams that we’ve been talking about that like I have I have a lot of interest in so I’m still going to have some Mets definitely don’t make the cut in the three man for me um you know maybe maybe a stack and like a 20 Max um yeah I I’ll likely have under 5% Mets here um and then pitching matchups uh not really on either of these pitchers uh I know we haven’t talked up a ton of pitchers yet really besides like Hunter Brown and uh Morton but uh there are some good ones we’ll get to uh just think there’s better there’s better upside situations here uh than either of these guys yeah three more G to talk about couple couple good pitchers coming up we did get the Nationals lineup uh out as expected for the most part Abrams Thomas Garcia Winker Ruiz senzel Rosario Manus Gallow probably not using manthus and Gallow down there at the bottom but I think the other seven looked pretty good to me so glad they got a is one of the one of my least favorite players to play even in I mean he just he doesn’t hit home runs like it’s like if you’re going to play him it’s like part of like a fivan you’re hoping he hits like three doubles and like drives a bunch runs in and then Joey Gallow I mean obviously has the upside but uh sure he’s one of my least favorite players as always I mean guy just absolutely sucks I don’t know why he’s still in the league might be because he’s banging Mark Davis’s chick uh I couldn’t believe that Mark Davis was having a baby with her and it ends up being Joey Gallows and it’s like they still refer to him as like yeah being on good teams as opposed to the Nationals it’s just kind of a headline super fun G Gall certainly has the power uh but he’s not he’s one of the national Tim and messus are the two guys that aren’t really running so I’d probably leave them off um and then yeah go with the other guys and we you get the Brewers lineup too a little bit disappointing from them I’m guessing you’re gonna be high on the Brewers will get there in a second but no Adamas and no William contras sucks I saw that yeah H so we’ll get to the Brewers in uh after this next game let’s talk about San Diego and Kansas City first we’ve got uh Cole reagin I think figer to say legitimate Ace for the Kansas City Royal is GNA give you uh distance most times out he’s a six plus Innings pitcher for the most part close to 100 pitches pretty much every time out big upside in in most matchups at least uh this one though not great for strikeouts against this Padre’s team uh they don’t have anybody who strikes out more than League average rate uh in the lineup or or projected to be in the lineup do we have this lineup Padres I don’t think we have it quite yet yeah we do oh we do okay yeah um yeah it’s as expected yeah just such a contact happy lineup that uh Reagan is good enough to you know strike out anybody um but still don’t love targeting this Padre’s team in general and Reagan’s at 10K I mean you know you need what at least six probably you need him to be Peralta essentially is what you’re betting with or because it’s pretty much impossible to play both of them so it’s like you’re betting that he’s gonna beat Peralta and I give that what a 15% chance or you know maybe 25% chance that he beats falta but it’s not like you’re playing 100% falta I mean unless you always I think is okay it’s like so like that 25 becomes what 15 if you’re playing half Peralta so like I that’s my thought process as to where it’s like I’ll have like 10 to 15% Reagan but I’m not like super high on him or anything um I’d consider him in one of my three teams like it’ be like peralto Peralta him for like an anchor type of type of deal on like a three max but uh yeah I prefer I prefer Morton for cheaper and um you know I definitely prefer Peralta for more so it’s just kind of a pricing thing for me on Reagans yeah I mean Peralta should be around 40% own Reagan’s maybe around 10 so math you know if you give it the 25% chance I think it that’s exactly right yeah would make them uh you know similar plays expected value wise at least I I I certainly laying the peral as side as as the field of course um but yeah R is fine here I’ll probably go a different direction I’m not planning on using him on any of my five but he is one of the the last cuts and yeah depending on you know just how my lineups take out I haven’t built them all yet obviously he could he could sneak his way onto one of my teams we’ll see with that Michael King has been very very difficult to figure out he had the monster game against the Dodgers four starts ago follow up with a super chalk against the Rockies at home uh and uh didn’t pitch well and then he’s rebounded and been pretty good in each of the last two starts I think he’s a solid arm overall the strikeout rates uh for him especially against right-handed uh hitters look pretty good uh this um Royals lineup obviously can do some damage and it does look like pretty Prime hitting weather in in Kaufman stadium so any interest in in Mike King uh schlong and and what about bats in this game any any guys that stand out to you I don’t hate King I don’t love the bats I’m not really gonna be playing any Padres uh Royals you know they have some high upside bats in here like I never fade like a Bobby Wht or like Salvador bre you know especially catcher uh but yeah they’re more like one-offs three man’s to me and then like a fiveman um king would not make my top three teams uh you know I’ll probably have like 5% my 150 it’s not like a total fade for me but you know I think there’s much better spots to go to today kind I’m kind of under on this game in general uh I might be over on Reagan in my 150 just based on ownership uh because so much of it’s gonna go to Peralta but yeah makes sense let’s get to Freddy Peralta Chicago White Sox and Milwaukee Brewers uh Peralta most expensive pitcher on the Slate I think rightfully so he has 11k on DraftKings but he’s been good this season obviously a big strikeout arm and he gets this uh this white sock lineup that just really doesn’t have really anything I mean you know not much power a lot of strikeouts up and down the lineup just a lot of really really bad hitters overall uh you never know what’s gonna happen I we just saw Chris S yesterday and you know the A’s are way better than the than the white socks the power department but yeah I would expect falto to pit really well here I do think the strikeouts are going to be there kind of regardless of how it goes for him in the end uh so he seems like he’s got a pretty nice floor and a very very high ceiling in this one does Freddy Peralta right it’s minus 300 to win you don’t see that you don’t see that every day you know I know we talk about DraftKings a lot on this show but you know that really does matter on like FanDuel yeah he you know at least on paper for sure he should mow down this flight sock onine up no question about it minus 180 to go over seven and a half strikeouts it’s like not even not even close on this slate yeah he is the a fantastic play uh like I said I’m playing Five lineups I’m hoping to get him on at least three of them again haven’t built the lineups yet so can’t say for sure but he is a priority play for me even at that you know 40 50% ownership whatever ends up being I think he is an awesome play and you know if if you want to simple things if anyone wants to simp like plug in Freddy Peralta and build around him and I think you know there’s not tons of pitchers that you can I think this is one spot on this pitching slate where you can definitely hit the lock button kind of you know trying to hit the right combo with him I mean yeah you know even if you hit the lock button you know it’s raising your floor like I there’s not tons of baseball players with floors uh normally they’re pitchers I know we talked about like Jose Ramirez and Kors like that’s one of the few hter situations I mean he’s going to get you you know seven or eight strikeouts you know and you know even if he gets that and gives up six runs you know he’s still going to like have a floor of what seven or eight you know absolute like bottom like 1% outcome for him so yeah baring him getting hurt uh I want to be over on him uh you know I’ll have what 60% Peralta probably uh I’d consider the lock button I don’t normally do that but uh yeah I think I think it’s a spot to to really go hard after him yep totally agree only thing is you know he does obviously restrict who you can get in for bats and most of the bats that I really like on this slate are expensive they’re just not draftings honestly think they’ve done like guys like Dom Smith are gonna be like super popular at least in my builds because it’s like you know you get the three hitter who I think is a decent hitter for 2.4k on one of the higher total teams like Michael Harris like guys like that like help you fit peralto yeah pretty easy to identify kind of what the chalk is going to be we know Peralta is going to be super popular and when you know you know the super expensive picture is going to be popular then you know people are going to have to go to the decent cheap bats and those are easy to identify as well so yeah the chalk field does look pretty clear uh and nothing wrong with playing those guys just try to get a little bit different elsewhere if you can yeah just make your Stacks different you know play like some bottom of the order guys but you know if you know like you’re choosing popular pitchers and popular teams that’s fine just you know try and separate yourself from other people that are doing the same thing somehow yeah what about a contrarian Chicago White so I know I worked yesterday with the A’s I’m not doing it here with the white socks I I would much rather play the A’s against Morton than the white socks against Peralta in this situation if you’re looking for a contrarian tag I know Peralta will be significantly High round but uh no white socks for me today 100% agree with that no white socks for me either uh if you want to play one I think Gavin sheets is the best one I mean I’ve been talking up the White Sox mini stacks for a a decent bit here and um you know they’ve come through a decent amount but I don’t think today’s the day for it agreed uh let’s talk about the Brewers though a team that I remain high on despite putting out frankly about the worst lineup that they could have uh terang Ortiz y make them more it does make them more palatable salary-wise you know William contas is what 6K and now you get Gary Sanchez for 3.5 I think Gary Sanchez is gonna be the chalk catcher today without so yeah obviously gotta talk about you know kind of the pinch at risk because when they got these guys out of the lineup hopins will Damas and William contras all out of the lineup my guess would be normally on a Sunday when they run out lineups like this the plan is if possible to give those guys the complete day off right and not use them as a pinch hitter in the fifth or sixth or seventh inning uh give them a you know mental physical break and that should be possible because we don’t expect Freddy bral to to really give up much of anything most likely so against Nick Nini who uh you know we don’t have a big sample size just 16 Big League Innings but they have been brutal brutal Big League innings for Nick Nini he’s really really bad pitcher and the the Brewers are a lot like the Nationals they’ve got slightly better hitters overall but they love to run uh running wild this year Nick mrini has given up I believe six steals in these 14 Innings that he’s pitched last year in the minor leagues he gave up 26 in like 120 Innings which is a very very high number so the Brewers are another team that’s going to run it’s what one of the reasons I was so excited to play guys like even I thought William contras and Adamas for sure would have stolen against him um so those guys are out it leaves turang Ortiz Yelich that top three still looks really really good to me Gary Sanchez is hitting fourth certainly prefer him against lefties but Nick Nini bad enough where you know maybe just you make an exception and plug him in I think he’s one of the better catchers I would assume he’ll stay in there if he’s starting against the righty he’s obviously righty himself uh South freck uh again there is some Pinch at risk here for sure but he is another guy who can run he is better a little bit better at least against uh right-handed pitching he’s got seven Steals on the year and limited playing time so I like freeli Bowers again some pin [ __ ] risk here for sure while ree Hoskins kind of looming but uh I think there’s a good chance to play the whole game he’s running this year so the Brewers are another team that’s just taking advantage on the base pass I I like Bowers Jackson chrio cheap if you need a you know I don’t even mind Oliver Dunn down there so I know this lineup isn’t what we were hoping for but it does like you said provides some cheaper options for a stack and I’m staying on the Brewers uh Nick Nini is bad enough where it can play in my opinion almost anybody against him bad Bullpen behind him from the white socks and yeah not the lineup we wanted but not enough for me to move off this Brewers team uh where do you stand on on the Brewers bats now that we got kind of a disappointing lineup out of them brce but I’m fine with them uh you know you know watch out for the pinch hit RIS as you said I think you made really good points with all of those guys but uh yeah I’d really try and focus on like the top four for me and uh sherio would be my favorite stck uh you know I don’t think that’s going to be contrar in opinion of people who are stacking brers uh sure yeah I you know I’m clicking around right now and you know it’s a stack that fits really well with Peralta so you you know you get the win Equity you know there’s a little bit of correlation there um I like the bruers today uh you know they’re right up there with like Atlanta and Boston and them are kind of my favorite offenses uh like that’ll be somewhat popular like I don’t think the Nationals go owned sure yeah uh those are probably my top three teams in order uh you know I would expect this line to drop a bit with the lineup news I mean it just makes it much easier to play like was really hard to play a 6K catcher in Peralta you but you know it’s if anything it makes me like them more because I can play them with Peralta so I I would be worried about the pinch hit risk for some of these guys especially the bottom the order uh guys I’m most worried about uh pretty similar to you uh Bowers is done I I think and freck are not guaranteed need like Subs but probably two out of the three of them I honestly think you know if this game goes like we think it’s Inigo and the Brewers are up five- zero through four or five innings they might just let these guys just play the game yeah and the Sunday point is a very good one they do like to give these guys legitimate days of rest when they can and you know if Pearl’s dominating they’re up you know six nothing like they’re not going to pinch it like it’ll pinch it in a close game so I think that that point right there is very valuable yeah I I think there’s a much better chance than normal that these guys just uh get get the full nine innings they give the guys the rest and they win this game pretty easily I think that’s a somewhat likely outcome for white socks and Milwaukee Brewer so we’re both high on the Brewers and uh yeah maybe these cheaper bats that we can play uh you know could could kind of you know be a surprisingly be be a benefit to our lineups today let’s get to the last game on on the Slate we’ll do stacks pitchers home runs and offensive plays uh after this but first Cincinnati Chicago Cubs this is one of the few games that doesn’t appear to be favorable hitting conditions a little bit cooler in Wrigley Field winds blowing in should play pretty pitcher friendly today and uh we got two good pitchers on the mound Nick ldo I think a favorite of both of ours right a high upside arm uh GNA be pretty low own today um I understand why against the red or against the Cubs rather who do put the ball in play for the most part um but yeah lello 9800 I have interest there I have even more interest on the other side uh I was kicking myself I was talking I think I can’t remember who was on the show I think Bo was on the show maybe you were too Bryce I’m a big Ben Brown fan uh I didn’t play him last time out partly was the matchup against and the bigger Thing by far was just that we haven’t seen him uh you know he kind of pitching out of the bullpen I didn’t anticipate 93 pitches for Ben Brown I’m not sure the Cubs did either but he was just pitching so well he had a no hitter through seven Innings they actually had had to pull him after 93 pitches if he was fully stretched out I think they might have let him try to go uh but they did pull him um and that you know means he should be good to go here against the Reds team that we know likes to strike out I think arguably the best pitching environment on the Slate is in this game Ben Brown sitting there at 8,300 I’m a I’m a big fan of his his talent and uh you know coming off his best game as a big leager sometimes we like to look at different direction but I’ve got a lot of interest in Ben Brown here at 8,300 he’s going to be a popular play but I think this is some pretty good chock with Mr Ben Brown uh so so I’m in uh not going to be going to any bats I don’t think in this game but I do like both pitchers Brown more than L ldo but I think ldo is in play too what about you Bryce Cubs and Cincinnati potential pitchers duel to end uh this uh this last game on the Slate here yeah we’ll get off for the NASCAR guys but uh want nothing to do with hitters uh I have a little bit of a different take on Ben Brown uh his pitching outs is 15 and a half and pretty heavily jued under you think they’re gonna pull pull back after the 93 pitches that’s kind of my take on it um you know if you if you have your take or you know if you think Ben Brown is gonna throw a lot of innings uh he’s a very good play I I just have trouble believing in it I’m not going to fade him in my 150 or anything but uh he’s not going to make my top three teams personally I think ldo is one of the better pitching options on this slate I think he goes virtually like unnown like I think everyone is going to click Peralta and then like a cheaper pitcher than him like for the same reason I’m gon to be over on reagin I plan on being over on loo just you know super high upside guys and I prefer L Doo to Reagan I’m trying to get at least 20% Lolo here uh he would definitely make one of my three max teams and um I’d honestly consider peralto ldo pairing uh on my main team and just go cheaper bats uh I think it’s super high upside route so uh something I’m looking at but uh yeah no hitters for me uh like pitching in this game definitely lean ldo I’m a little bit worried about uh Browns uh leash here yeah um I was planning to play quite a bit of Ben brown but the the prop that you mentioned what’ you say under 15 and a half with juice on the under under 15 and a half on Penny is sorry I was looking at one sec uh it’s minus 150 to go under 15 and a half which basically means they’re goingon to let him throw five in Innings to me and no matter how many pitches he’s at he’s gonna go five innings you know after a long outing last time I think they might try and reel him back in a bit is like kind of how I’m reading that situation they’re their Bullpen is pretty Gass for the most part the PLL Pen’s very beat up which is why it surprised me to see that like I I came out expecting like 16 and a half like juic over like he’s going to like either go five or six but I think he definitely goes five in situation would be my take yeah um I’m still going to play some Ben brown but might pull back I mean I’m not fading my 150 or anything like that um like I’ll probably have 10 to 15% Ben Brown uh you know I think he’s a great play but uh like I just worried about his Le and like total upside and honestly he could he could strike out seven or eight guys in five innings oh 100% I mean if you get five if you get five innings to win eight strikeouts I mean you’re chilling regardless I yeah you know I I wanted to play I almost wanted to play him on my main team which is why I bring it up but uh yeah yeah I mean obviously part of our job is to you know bring the information and that’s that’s good information on Ben Brown there still have interest uh he is on normal rest uh you know the normal starting pitcher rotation rest so I was I was looking at that too I did briefly check that I was kind of hoping he was on one extra day but no uh normal starting pitcher rest for Ben Brown uh all right that’s all the games let’s get to the stacks uh I’ll let you go first Bryce I think we’re going to have the same contrarian stack uh but who’s your favorite stack contar St favorite stack I’m G to go with the Brewers uh sticking through it I really like this match up for them contrarian stack Nationals Nationals so we’re we’re doubling down Brewers and Nationals load up the wagons let’s go guys uh let’s get some let’s get some activity going on the base pass if they do I think we’ll end up for some pretty fun teams today uh so yeah Brewers and Nationals we got the same answers I don’t think that’s ever happened on this show all year long so could be interesting either you know we’ll see each other at the top or or at the bottom Bryce we we’ll find out soon enough uh most important pitcher guy you think you might be overweight on the most compared to the field go ahead Bryce overweight pitcher will likely be I’m going with Peralta I I’m playing a [ __ ] ton of him today even if he’s the highest own guy and he will be uh I just think it’s probably the best situation you can have my answer to this question was going to be Ben brown but what we talked about is enough for me to give a different one and I’ll go to the other Brown I’ll go with Hunter brand I like him quite a bit here against this twins team uh home home run call certainly plenty to choose from who’s going yard today BR I’m going to go with my man Joey Ortiz oh love Mr Ortiz I go with big Josh Naylor gonna take Jake Urban deep in Cleveland and then finally uh favorite overall offensive hitter I’ll jump in and take Christian Yelich go ahead and your offensive hitter on the day uh I was going to take yellow so price per dollar I I’m gonna go Dom Smith you know I don’t see how you really faint him at 2.4k there we go does Prov a lot of savings and if you’re playing a lot of par to makes sense to get some Dom Smith in there as well that’ll do it for this
