hello there everyone and welcome back to the channel we’re in the performance center here at Howley Hall Golf Club in leads as usual and we’ve got the brand new ringer 2 golf shoe from Travis Matthew to talk to you about just look at this looks great doesn’t [Music] it let’s have a bit of a closer look and a bit of a deeper dive into some of the technology and tell you exactly why this shoe is so good so many of you will already own Travis Matthew clothing and potentially have had the previous quer model of Footwear now Travis have relaunched their Footwear kind of brand if you like now and have brought it all under the same umbrella of Travis Matthew so Travis Matthew Footwear now has some new designs but they’ve also revamped the Fantastic ringer golf shoe you’ll have seen this on the feet of the likes of John RAM and Sam Burns to name a few but it’s kind of getting more popularity out there on tour and also doing really well at retail will sort of have a bit of a look as to why that is well it’s quite a No Nonsense sort of shoe really it’s pretty plain in its kind of looks but I quite like that about it um looking down on the shoe obviously in the playing position he’s got that quite nice sort of uh blank sort of toe cap area there so there’s not too much going on with the shoe the real story is inside okay so amazing cushioning in there so sweet spot cushioning as Travis Matthew call it and basically it’s kind of uh a foam and lots of layers of support in there that are really going to help you from that first t-shot to the last put that you hit in your round of golf so Comfort is the name of the game and all day Comfort is the strap line for this shoe if it’s anything like the previous model I’ve been wearing the ring of golf shoe from qua for a while now if it’s anything like those this is going to be absolutely fantastic I mean it does look very similar similar lacing system some of the changes are obviously the addition of the Travis Matthew logo there and on the heel and also on the sole we’ve also got the Tor Flex Pro spikes um in there as well which are a really good addition to really help the shoe lock to the ground even more in specific kind of pressure points around the foot as well to make sure that we’re not going to slip when we’re hitting shots in this shoe um and we’re going to kind of maintain as much power throughout the swing as possible so that’s all the tech of it let’s get out onto the golf course let’s hit some shots and tell you exactly what we think out [Music] [Music] [Music] there so now I’ve had a chance to play quite a few holes now in in the new ringer 2 golf shoe it’s kind of more of what I expected really having had a few of the previous quater model and absolutely love them um I was expecting more of the same from Travis Matthew and it’s kind of if if it ain’t broke don’t fix it kind of mentality from them um very very comfortable shoe very grippy as you can probably see and tell here it’s quite wet under foot so getting the right amount of traction and grip is very very important and certainly the ringer too gives me that and gives me that sort of confidence that I’m not losing any speed I’m not going to slip I’m always going to hit shots that are going to go somewhere near where I want them to and the Footwear is a very big part of that I’ve got a lot of foot movement in my swing really so I need that kind of embedded sort of feeling that kind of traction and ground interaction that I rely on to get as much power out of my golf swing as I possibly can and certainly these shoes deliver so having tested the shoe pretty extensive L out there on the golf course not just today but I’ve actually had a pair for probably about a month now and I’ve played about five or six rounds of golf in them it’s even better than the quater version I I think they’re they’re so comfortable I always feel like I’ve got as much grip as I ever need when wearing a pair of these and sometimes when you wear spikeless shoes you don’t really get that now the ringer ticks a lot of boxes it looks quite simple which I really like it’s supremely comfortable it’s easy to clean it’s got loads of grip um and yeah I just think everything about it is is fantastic to be honest now they’re not the cheapest shoe in the world they’re 150 a pair and that is obviously out of some people’s price range but they are a shoe that for many of you will offer extremely great comfort and great stability and great traction for a similar price to what you’re seeing on the in the market really most shoes that are kind of spiked and do kind of similar things are around that kind of one 40 to 160 price point and this sits you know firmly in the middle of that but let us know what you think do
