Robert is from Oban, a town on the Western coast of Scotland, and also known as the seafood capital of the country. He’s now won on both of the major tours as well as contributing to a Ryder Cup win for Europe. Such a great win for him, but especially special for his Dad.

I’ve played golf my entire life. Grew up working on golf courses in the summer. Played at the high school and collegiate level. Played a lot of state amateur tournaments. My dad never watched me play. Ever. Never took me to the range. Never took me to the course. Never bought me a club or a sleeve of balls. Never paid for lessons. Never taught me a thing. Never took me to a tournament. Never paid a tournament entry. Nothing. It’s great to see there a good dads out there who take interest in the lives and aspiration of their children.

Robert MacIntyre did it! He let it slip on Sunday at the Myrtle Beach Classic, but he battled some early round nerves with three birdies in five holes on holes 4 through 8 to edge Ben Griffin. Incredible work.

It’s funny a lot of men will look at this and go what a dad I look at this and go what a man he just carried his sons bag for 7k+ yards 4 days in a row that dad is physically hurting but it was all made worth while seeing his son smile while winning
