welcome back to the channel welcome back to a new video you golf life Legends this is episode three of Jimmy bullard’s road to the open and we’re here at the beautiful tandridge golf club and today Jimmy Bullard is playing in a clutch Pro Tour event it’s a one day event and he is up against some proper proper good players big an on the bag and this is the first time Jimmy Bard is going up in a competitive competition with a card in his hand so I’m absolutely buzzing and I imagine you golf life Legends are to see how he gets on well let’s go and see big an and Jimmy Bullard and see how they’re feeling but here we are on the superb pting green here at hand bigger than Jimmy having a little practice here we go find out what they’re working on what you feeling then J right was pting what I want right usually I’ve been we had a chat about this didn’t we yeah you work on levels didn’t you yeah so I’ll do point but I I picked my line before my Pace nine times out of 10 so an what I want from you today we read it on the same lines but what I think I am doing wrong I want to read whether it’s down up or level yeah so before we read any right to left I’m going to get you coming in with me today cuz you’re a great reader of greens and also it give me confid information of bit reassurance yeah so one to F I just need levels of what what do you see that as in down up or level what you see that quite a lot probably three three four on the four on the four side I’ve got it yeah a I’m same as you three four down yeah okay give give me an aim point so straight away we’re going to go we’re going to do our quick is or as slow is right and then we’re going to do you like your reads level to the o yeah I want all my reads level with the o yeah cool the aim Point yeah so from that it’s obviously right to left from you I do I’ll be doing it alongside you and then you can just give me I’d probably go there I’ve got it bang on and you key is it exactly that and that’s why I think it’s very important to read whether it’s down or up first do you get what I mean yeah I’ll do it back to front ask about backwards if you want to call it I just want to try this way around I think it’ll be big cuz straight away I’m thinking Pace I think a good part it’s a good part do this one for me right big what are you thinking here this is really really interesting to watch bear in mind I’m a complet and noice to this but you’re good you’re good at reading green yeah exactly slightly less mate probably on a three still goes down here quite a lot cuz this is really interesting on the way here in the car they were talking together about this to see it in practice two okay not far off m point not much mate you seeing the same thing Jim tell him after I just don’t want my my choice to affect his do you get what I mean so it’s very important that he chooses his I haven’t got maybe right right Edge yeah I’ve got it straight and I’ve got it two three down up mate if yeah I when it’s inside the cup I’m not that good I’m just going straight at it from this distance but two three down H it’s it a bit hard it’s good though yeah straight away I’m getting them past the hour which is good and the final one a little dolly this hole is it bit a good hole for me two two two two one two down three balls out left and just for the the go life Legends yeah interacting will you be able to what will you be able to do will you be able to do this on the green on the day when we te off in a half hour yeah are you like you yeah you can stand there yeah absolutely see I’ve only got that bang on same blade of grass which is frightening at reading them line wise not too bad down or up either which is good there we go boys if I can just get you both in um how you feeling good can’t wait to have a proper card in your hand some top top level performers any nerves or you just really I can’t wait there could be future major winners here you know like said kimer who Tas and you know the Euro Pro before this clutch tour they started Brook come through challenge a lot of these um Georgie boy today come from hopefully we get a little T with him he’s on challenge now he won the order a merit for this last year he’s in top 50 of challenge this year this is like the real deal here this is going to be good yeah I’m so buzzing for you both yeah answer a question I’m not nervous I’m I’m interested in learning there’s a lot of things I won’t know so that’s why it’s good to do it on like today to get practice for for the open so good are you using this as practice amazing boys best of luck I’ll be following you around I really like that reading I really think up here or down here I think I read it left to right more I’m focusing on my lines rather than Pace there’s no coincidence when I’m playing i p hesitant hesitantly and I leave a lot short because I’m not calculating speed as much as my line I get carried away of line it’s very it’s an amateur mistake it’s a basic mistake but be surprised how many people do it I’ve been doing it so I’m interested to see how I do on the green say could I know my long games here yeah I know the mid iron play Iron play can be all right full card on challenge tour that’s where we’re at now have played first seven eight events what was your first event what was it like stepping on the challenge South Africa was first time being there so first you know first full year thinking ready to go and then had a great week finished finished fifth was in did you that’s quality yeah last group going into the week uh going on the final day so got got that buzz and that feeling amazing you know bit extra coin always nice L is it you get through it out here so you need it but yeah it was it you know it was a good good first check on the uh on the tour and I believe you 49th in top you’re in the top 50 right which is a great start yeah I think we’ve had eight events or something like that so steady enough we’re back we’re coming back into Europe now so yeah it’s a bit more back on uh home home soil and what you’re used to and the differences between this and challenge is there any any differences what have you noticed did you notice any big changes course setups are really quite different and way more difficult speed of greens pin locations really yeah How firm the greens are like out here today it’s kind of Target goal really gotcha you can see a pins pretty middle not much danger whereas out there it’s talk pitching onto concrete okay you just got to be way Smarter with um how you play and where you Choice got the depth more than anything just a lot of guys that are very good it’s great way it start is it clut door did coming in this it’s I mean from when Tom started it back know three four years ago I was I played the first events and I’ve played all of them and they’ve done a great job from from the start yeah and they Pride theel on coming to good venues this is one t you got a shout out man way used very strong field at a golf course that you haven’t played no so the road to the open for me is looking promising if you can turn off and do that it’s there a few parts that front line could have been naughty deep yeah you know um but you crafted mate and you’re stuck here yeah we know it’s nearly there hope you have enjoyed it you can hopefully see me improving absolutely you know for actually just getting there and putting myself in scenarios like this so thanks to clutch tuno track as well big doggy it’s great honestly one of the best best SE in this country unbel anyone looking to make it in the game these are the tours you got to get on stepping tours way you go but hopefully you’ve enjoyed it cuz we have um golf life baby I love this so good
