started I think Monday Matt H the wonderful Matt H at scuffs 22 the legendary Matt age if you will of course started asave us Jordan seatan we all know how that went now it’s hash wew want Juju um I’m sure you’ve noticed everyone on Twitter is they have got Julian Lewis as their profile picture now yeah that’s crazy yeah I mean just we’ll start from a broad spectrum um great movement great job everyone hopping on it but these guys love feeling the love y and you have to imagine that Juju Lewis is feeling the love uh like few have honestly like yeah there’s you know they always say it’s just different in the SEC and things like that but um going back to what I talked about the last time and I kind of got everyone hyped up on uh ju guu and I I made the par I made the comparison to coach Prime uh and I made the the whole comparison of needing to be needed right it’s something coach Prime has talked about when talking about what Rick George conveyed to him that made him realize that this is where he needed to be and I can’t remember who said it the other day um actually I might it might not be a good uh person to reference right now um but they were talking about how when when Alabama gets a five-star player was this Newberg um I think it might have been he said like when Alabama gets a fivar player doesn’t really make any noise when Colorado gets a five-star player oh I think this was Philip Dukes okay three there you go uh when Colorado gets a five star player it blows everything up yeah and that is what takes me back to the need to be needed thing of course I’m sure when a guy is deciding between Georgia and Alabama he has a million people in his mentions telling him what he should be should be doing and don’t go there they suck don’t do this don’t do that um come here for X Y and Z but there’s something different about this like Colorado fans rallying around we want Juju everyone’s making their profile picture Juju Lewis to that gives you that need to be needed thing which is like yes could I go be another Link in the chain that is quarterbacks who have played for Lincoln Riley sure and I’m not even I I’ll never say that that would be the wrong thing for him to do if he wants to do that I would fully understand but there’s something greater in saying man I can be the next in line at Colorado and really change essentially the entire narrative around recruiting for Coach Prime yep uh and and you know being next in line after shador is kind of like being the first right it’s the first yes quarterback for Coach Prime that isn’t shador mhm and there’s something really special about that but I think Colorado fans are doing a great job of playing the we need you tune yep which I think will really resonate with him absolutely uh I think he’s heard it too so that started on Monday um yesterday we connected the dots between Colorado and JuJu uh Scotty mcnight obviously a big player in friend of the program he’s been a guest on here before yes he has talked about that yesterday too but uh not only a CU Legend but he’s also worked his way into like the uh producing like film filmography is that a word sure videography videography whatever cinematography cinematography sure either way he’s ventured into that part of the world um and that inspired Julian watching the documentary about Tua and so that made ju gu and TC reach out to uh Scotty about their documentary that they’re working on so we connected all those dots uh Scotty being the picture that Juju used for his initial offer when he got that yeah I love that um and then we really hit a next stage of this uh HH wew want Juju yesterday when Peggy joined the chat what a legend we’ve got the video do you have the video Alyssa yeah let’s play it Juju I’ve been cheering for this Colorado buff team for 84 years and I’m getting tired of being a good loser I would love to be a good winner so come on out here and play for us and help us win Cho you first of all way to nail the lines y uh I mean gez she’s a natural on camera makes me almost want to invite her on the show mhm um she’s used to the spotlight second of all need to be needed yep quite literally and it’s been 84 years yes um it’s incredible work by Peggy and like you know we’ve talked about how you’ve got Pastor Smith out here recruiting heck we’ve got probably to and and coacho Cino out here recruiting Warren you know all the people and then you throw in Peggy as uh another you know person out here trying to help the cause uh I’m just if I’m Juju Lewis this just feels different he liked that tweet um yeah it is different getting Peggy in into the whole thing um I mean they’re really taking out uh everything for Juju here yes everyone’s pulling out the stops pulling out all the stops um and I guess that leads me to what’s next because this has been thrown around on some I I kind of started this idea few weeks ago on the show and it’s now starting to gain some steam and so uh just wanted to let everyone know working on something that we can do as a fan base that’s kind of just our thing Grassroots style trying to figure out a way that we can be there on campus or near campus uh when ju guu arrives to give him a true Colorado Buffalo’s welcome y uh when he comes here so um talking to some people trying to figure out what um what we may do but I’ll send out a tweet I’m going to send out a tweet and just say if you’re interested like this tweet and you can actually make it like this tweet okay uh and we can start uh cooking on that but I think that would be just another thing that we can do to show uh show some love to uh the air to the throne just going back to Peggy and Tanya had the comment there I mean playoff Peggy is like the hashtag that started like really this off season um you know Cory Phillips I think really started that one but we know about Coach Prime and Peggy’s relationship and how much coach Prime uh really adors Peggy and all that she’s done for the program and that’s that’s the kind of the whole goal behind this is let’s have a great season so Peggy can see the Buffs win yep absolutely and um we saw last night it was uh at least the pictures that we saw nikai got to meet Peggy which was something that he had said you know months ago he wanted to do y um JB was there yep I think they were at a uh lovely local establishment in Boulder carelli’s I think that’s what I saw um but just awesome awesome the way that everyone here has embraced braced Peggy and it’s crazy to say this but like it’s not always like that um I’m not going to uh get into old stuff but there have been some coaches who have come through here who have’t embraced tradition and the fans and the people that really matter and and are the true like pillars of the program in the way that coach Prime has he’s done an incredible job of embracing Peggy um embracing Ralphie embracing all of the greats like Cordell and Michael Westbrook and anyone else who wants to be a part of this so um that’s uh that’s just part of the get it factor and obviously this program is probably the best in the nation I would say at getting it oh yeah and then there’s the uh the next today’s chapter in the the Peggy Juju uh movement Josh Newberg from on three I can’t defend this bro I can’t there’s no possible way good there no possible way yeah man we tried to extend the Olive Branch you know we are uh peacemakers at heart but uh you can lead a a horse to water you can’t make him drink you can’t take shots at Peggy Peggy’s royalty she’s Untouchable Untouchable like it’s like you know um you never talk about someone’s Mom right she is our mom yes the whole fan base I know you can’t talk [ __ ] about her and and I I don’t know I don’t really understand I had to ask who the person he was referencing is but they also have Nebraska in their bio it’s a at the very least a very poorly thought out joke it was a joke between Josh and some of the FSU fans it was very poorly worded it it doesn’t there’s no context no yeah it it didn’t land didn’t didn’t land here that’s for sure um we stand on 10 for Peggy of course always um all right so we’ll see what happens um you saw the video I’m sure of the official visit tweet C creative team went hard is that do we know that they made that I’m pretty sure okay um it’s got The Branding and stuff on it oh okay I mean unbelievable unbelievable stuff whoever made that did an incred incredible job and uh the hype around it you said some of the numbers comparatively oh yeah yeah it’s that stuff matters people try to you know people try to uh toss that stuff aside oh Colorado just plays for clicks it’s all you care about [ __ ] [ __ ] [ __ ] that’s the same [ __ ] they were saying on my tweets when I put that out no yeah that’s what I’m basing that off of um but it’s just like okay well the kids notice it they post this cuz they want to feel the love right so they notice it it matters it’s never going to be the end all Beall of any recruiting battle but that instant Superstar uh moniker that we put on him if he comes to Colorado is is showing through oh yeah and I think gu guu knows and and that means a little something let’s do a numbers update so the USC tweet post posted on May 13th uh only 1K likes 119 retweets 120,000 views for what USC okay Auburn posted the day after uh 306 retweets 2K likes only 156,000 views okay Colorado posted on the 21st that was two days ago is up to 650 retweets 3.5 K likes and 440,000 Views wow unbelievable unbelievable it really is crazy you guys are the best this fan base is something else bro this fan base is awesome yeah and it’s amazing because um we used to have a reputation of like being able to like rally together to win like online polls and things of that nature uh and then you bring in the prime effect yep and now it’s just like Colorado fans are like a a just a force they really are on Twitter and it’s one of the reasons why we’re hated and I love it yep yep it’s one of the reasons why everyone is so you know up in arms about anytime something Colorado has posted because you want to talk [ __ ] then be prepared for hundreds of people to come back at you yes and that annoys people mhm but it Joys me and it warms my heart so it makes this job a lot of fun let me tell you keep on fighting the good fight and let them hate uh because we’re going to have a lot a lot to celebrate oh and they’re going to be sitting in the corner watching us have fun like the uh the Squidward meme the one where he’s like walking he’s looking out the window and SpongeBob and Patrick are having the time of their lives yep that’s going to be the all the haters watching us uh this season all right shout out to true the the first day you’re gone shador announces he’s in NC or EA college football 25 that was like as I was on the plane yeah getting ready to leave and I was just like oh man this is going to be a relief and he uh he certainly got a lot of buzz on that announcement my favorite part was I commented on his Instagram yeah well actually the first thing I saw when I opened his Instagram was someone who just tweeted didn’t tag me or responded Yes now RK can sleep at night I was like a I’m so happy that you thought of me and then I just posted like lfg on there got more likes than I’ve ever gotten on a comment it was like 50 likes or something on my comment and then all these people were responding to me like you’re the first one I thought of when I heard this new so I love you guys for uh for having me on your mind but huge imagine just playing with shador and Travis hunter in this game and how fun that’s going to be and we’ve since learned that two star players feel very differently that when you’re playing with them than five star players um shout out Quinn yers for saying if anyone’s a 99 should be Travis Hunter y uh just like imagine what it’s going to feel like to play with Travis Hunter versus you know some scrub from Nebraska or Colorado State yep going to feel like they’re moving through like quicksand or something yeah and Tra Travis is going to be scooting around out there it’s going to be awesome um there is 32 team online dynasty I am going to have to get an Xbox because there’s no crossplay for dynasty okay all right welcome to the Xbox game welcome back to the Xbox game um all right this also happened on Thursday I think think so the last day you were here I remember talking to you about it briefly what was it a Nuggets game that was going on on Thursday oh yeah but uh Gavin cold went on some YouTube show and said some crazy [ __ ] about shador so I only saw the one clip uh about the nil money yeah talking about faf I just don’t understand like did we never learn like not to worry about what other people are doing with their money I you would think man also is the no F thing even true I don’t know anyways talking about your your peers and what they do with their money is so such a bad look yeah such a bad look um first and foremost second of all why burn verges I this is a guy who played some Jo football lower division football got a chance to come to Colorado soak up the spotlight even got on the field and that’s how you leave it’s just yeah it’s so ill advised sure are you going to get a bunch of clicks uh and engagement for two days mhm of course it doesn’t help you and that is the most shortsighted approach cuz I know like it’s not like these things are just happening on accident right these people are making a concerted decision to go out there and say something inflammatory to try and get some Buzz around their name yep uh and I don’t correct me if I’m wrong here but I don’t find it to be a coincidence that he doesn’t have a new school yet no uh and so trying to get your name out there trying to get some Buzz but in doing so sacrificing potential connections and relationships um that you could have long term who knows if I think he said something about him how him and Sh didn’t get along anyway um who knows if that relationship specifically could have paid de dividends for him long term but your relationships with your other teammates who like shador which is almost all of them if not all of them um your relationships with the coaching staff things things like that it’s just it’s very shortsighted and I I wish I could just talk to some of these guys before they make that decision because nothing good can come from it and it goes to for everyone um you know in this life of course if you were truly wronged by your employer and you want to like sue them to try well yeah there might be something in that for you and yeah that might be a fight worth fighting but let’s just say you were let go um and you want to just tear them down on your way out it’s not going to help you mhm exit with class and hopefully in in most cases those people will help you in your search for your next place yep uh then the next piece well we’ll do this first Trent Hood committed to uh Colorado hell yeah that is Colton and Brandon’s cousin he uh was a two-way player in high school mostly played linebacker at Eagles um Eagles Landing or what is it Eagles land chrisan academy uh mostly played linebacker but played some running back too and that came through uh hours after we heard that Rashad Amos was or already had visited Old Miss and received a prediction to flip to miss yes um so I posted about the Rashad thing and I think my message was a little bit misconstrued and I had a feeling it would be just because it was on a Colorado thing people thinking it was sour grapes right it really isn’t because me personally I think I’m team player when it comes to this stuff in the sense that the player should be allowed to do this stuff um who knows what his specific motivations for it and if you try to get down to the specific motivation of everything and litigate it through that it’s too complicated maybe he didn’t have the right reasons I don’t know but I think the players should have the the freedom to do what they think is best for them in the end mhm my whole point is it’s hurting the sport and I don’t think people could separate the fact that this this was happening from Colorado versus I I didn’t mind it if rad Amos wants to go there cool if he thinks that’s the best decision for him he should do that whether he’s right or not only time will tell but for me what I’m worried about is the text that I get from my friends when this stuff happens which is like dude what the hell is going on I thought we just got this guy it’s not even worth me following this [ __ ] anymore MH and it’s like I can’t really tell them they’re wrong right now I love the people who are here with us every day live and die with every move you know every move that’s made on the Personnel side and I don’t know if live and die is necessarily the right word but understand you take it you take the good with the bad and just roll with it there are people who like that I love the the fact I and I said this to someone on there who’s like you’re just bitter I’m like no I actually love this it gives us stuff to talk about all the time I know the transfer portal has given us yearround news that we would have never gotten in the pre-transfer portal area era but I can’t really blame someone who says yeah just let me know the roster two days before the first game and I’ll be interested then right and I think that’s put and I actually said casual fans and a bunch of people said casual fans don’t follow recruiting they might be right what I’m saying is even worse then because it’s fans who are actually above casual fans who are being pushed down to Casual fan right um you’re always going to have your super users your most engaged fans those are the people who are with us every day and those people are pretty hard to lose you’ve got to like directly offend that that type of group to lose them but to lose the people right below that who are like I follow recruiting closely I know who we’re in on and you know when when someone commits I look them up and I watch their highlights if you start knocking those people down to I’ll just tune in in September that’s bad for the sport yeah and and I also say all this with the caveat that I don’t know the perfect answer I don’t think the answer is taking more freedom away from the players U maybe there is a limit you could limit the freedom that players have I mean flipping like two or three times in the port and that’s what I was saying is like this is getting a little ridiculous um and someone made a good point to me and and this isn’t professional sports someone said like yeah you never see someone sign with two or three teams in free agency right exactly once in a while you get the um you know back dille the facts didn’t go through or um well [ __ ] even will Lutz it was like he’s signing with someone else and he’s like actually he’s coming back yeah yeah so you do get that once in a while but um three schools and that hurts you know uh the Buffs maybe not too Direct but it’s like you took that spot you thought you had it filled a lot of the players from that position then filtered out elsewhere and now it’s open again um so there is you know there is consequences to it and it’s not a victimless thing but it’s a hard really hard position college football finds themselves in of like yes Empower this the student athletes and I think a lot of it was just like they realize that if this ever goes to court they don’t really have any recourse yeah if someone wants to transfer a bunch of times and then sue the NCA for trying to limit them like they’ll probably lose and I think they just pulled back but um there probably has to be something something probably has to be done or else I think there will be irreparable damage to the fans who are what fund this whole thing anyway right um yeah I mean I already talked a lot about this but it brought me back to DJ Lundy and I thought you can’t lose what you never really had the same time oh yeah and and in that sense more D Hayden more Michael Welch y maybe more Brandon Hood Charlie more Charlie um and from all the smoke out there like 247 reported something and there’s been a lot of Rumblings in the fan base uh because of how plugged in everyone is they’re not done at running back yeah they can get more y uh and they they might and there might be a maybe a surprise in that regard but I like your point and I think in the end this running game was not going to be based on one person the running game is based on five people yes and it’s the offensive line yep and if those guys are moving people around we have more than enough talent to capitalize on definitely um Philip Dukes at on three he interviewed coach flee I don’t know if you saw this uh like a full podcast basically and uh I watched it all last night it was great but coach flee talked about that Chris Carter yeah that’s you need a Fall Guy um now the funny thing is like this is back in the day when all this stuff was illegal and it was all still happening but the coach can’t be directly involved in talking numbers with players that is so stupid yeah um so that was my first thought on it I’m like wow he’s like directly named in this over and over again yep for like communication that he had about how much money they were going to be sending him yep which is to me if you are participating in that side of it as a head coach you’re not recruiting well you you recruit the football program recruit the facilities recruit the staff the scheme mhm leave all that other [ __ ] to other people yep so that was my biggest thought what up Jack what’s up Jack um yeah man it’s a crazy story I won’t say his name because he’s a he’s a CU you hater but I saw someone on Twitter put a the meme of the guy picking between the two buttons okay this one yeah he’s like sweating first button says be proactive and create a coherent system to share revenue and compensate players the other button says wait for a high-profile recruit to Sue and let the court settle it that’s basically what the NCAA let they’re not sweating they always hit the let the court settle it button well speaking of that we went to court on uh what Wednesday what day was that ala do you remember what I was going to say she is not listening to you the day we went to court it was two days ago right Tuesday yeah um have you been following this house ver since AAA lawsuit oh no basically this is so I remember I brought this up to you at one point um I told you there was a big lawsuit coming about trying to really just change college football dramatically very very quickly um they’re trying to do it this off season for 20 2025 okay basically man I don’t even know if I can Cliff Notes this all the conferences are involved um they’re trying to they’re getting sued by a bunch of players Alex fono being one of them um that case actually today was just determined it’s not going to go through with the rest of these cases it’s going to be separate um but it’s all based around Revenue sharing and uh just all this money that the universities the NCAA brings in that they don’t share with the players that they make off the players backs um so basically they need all five conferences and I say five it’s Pack 12 still in there okay um you need all five conferences to agree to this settlement to move forward and that could adopt Revenue sharing it could um bring in like a salary cap aspect of the sport that would take in consideration and this is huge for CU sponsorships ticket sales um things of that nature itd get rid of collectives um and it get rid of scholarships wow anyways the Big 12 so instead of scholarships you would get a Revenue share that you would then use to pay for school it yeah it’d be like the NFL it’s a salary cap in a roster spot would they even be required to be enrolled in school I I don’t know that’s where it gets starts getting messy um but the big 12 was the first conference to accept the settlement uh the ACC is in and then today the big big 10 jumped in and then uh the SEC and Pack 12 are meeting later today to approve their expected to approve the settlement also and move forward with this great um I guess we’ll see what happens yeah by the way speaking of the Big 12 I just have to say being um I guess you could technically say we’re a part of the Big 12 now we are we aren’t directly but being in involved in the Big 12 sphere makes me realize just how unserious the Pack 12 was meeting people that are involved in the Big 12 talking to people that work for the Big 12 is very eye openening as to what a sorry conference the Pack 12 was and it makes me so happy to be around people who for lack of a better term no ball yep uh the Big 12 knows ball they get it yeah and it’s really really awesome I can’t wait for Big 12 media day just as kind of like our official introduction to the Big 12 12 World um get to you know interact with some big 12 creators even in that sense no disrespect to anyone cuz I I don’t think I interact with everyone ever who covered the Pack 12 but like even in that sense like if you think about the people who are like covering the LA schools right it’s like La Media much less than it is like football media yeah you know speaking of there’s did you see the ESPN article about the tumultuous off season bro what a joke that was I think we hardly mentioned that yeah yeah anyways um it just feels it feels like we’re going to a place where football is King and it is uh and the states where they play football is King and um I love it not to mention it’s also the best basketball conference in the country yes it is um the last thing is uh Colorado’s team GPA I’m sure you saw these posts oh yeah but coach Prime was hyped about it um he basically challenged everyone to report this because they report everything else that goes on with Colorado they won’t no they don’t we did um but the Texas he got said football student athletes achieve a second highest term GPA in CU football history only bested by the GPA last spring it’s the first uh time they’ve had a cumulative GPA over 3.0 so uh winning on and off the field love it absolutely love it uh super proud of the guys and there’s a [ __ ] narrative out there that like coach Prime is bringing in a certain type of person um right and oh it’s just these retreads you don’t care about school and it’s last chance you and all that [ __ ] um well how about that highest GPA second highest GPA in school history man these guys are are coming in and they’re working it’s because coach Prime holds them accountable yep uh and doesn’t tolerate you know guys slacking in any areas of their life so um shout out to coach shout out to the program shout out to all the players for taking care of business and then um last thing this just came through this morning actually and by the way in reference to that article it doesn’t matter how they are achieving those grades whether that is online or in person it really doesn’t for me online classes were about 200 times harder actually you got to be careful when you pick an online class because the onus falls on you yeah you know and that I and I struggle so acting like online classes are a copout the opposite is true online classes just means you have to manage your time properly yep that’s all about self- discipline and I did not do well I failed the one I ever took it and said all right time time to get my ass back in the classroom the only class I ever dropped in college and like got like you know how it shows like attempted credit hours versus completed credit hours the only time I had like a mismatch in that was because of an online class I took in the summer and I just realiz I can’t do this I can’t do this it’s not it’s not for the unorganized yeah and this came through today a lot of talk about ju guu but um we’re already on to 2026 it seems 2026 fourstar quarterback Jaden O’Neal is coming to visit on June 6 this is a top 55 player in the class 63200 lb out of Harbor City California any relation just based on the spelling to uh Germain O’Neal not seeing anything on 247 I couldn’t tell you right now um but this is a dynamic player and he is coming to Boulder in a few weeks hell yeah to Charlie’s High School coach that went up yesterday too oh hell yeah that’s fun um I’ll say this one thing I noticed about just talking to these guys and I noticed it with uh coach W who’s Charlie’s coach at Dakota Ridge uh coach who was Micah’s coach and then it was Dylan’s coach also but a lot of these guys have coached at their spots those high schools for a long long time yes coach Hicks had two stints at Baldwin um really turned that program into like couldn’t win a game into competing at their level in Georgia uh he since moved on though coach W has moved on from his spot at Dakota Ridge but all three of them 20 plus years I think at their high schools incredible so if these guys are they’re seeing what’s actually going on at Colorado and they see through just a lot of the [ __ ] frankly like that should just that says a lot I think about what this staff is doing in terms of actually recruiting um and how they’re received by these high schools and these coaches great point and to kind of go with that um again check out uh coach flea’s uh interview yesterday because I thought it was pretty enlightening he talked about a lot of that and about the high school visits and stuff about Coach Prime going to high schools and stuff um and look these guys have just been like this is a whole staff of guys not only are they NFL like credential but they’ve been through the whole thing man like hearing coach flee talking about how coach Prime brought a lot of these people up from coaching shador and Shiloh and their kids in high school and even lower all the way through the thing like they understand how important High School recruiting is and so to hear coach flee talk about all that and how um you know they want to get coach Prime in high schools but it’s a it’s a delicate balance cuz they don’t want other high schools to feel like they’re picking some over another um and there’s just a lot of aspects to play with that so absolutely also before we get out of
