I don’t know if the league is more skilled now I would say a majority of guys that play in the league now a majority of kids in this era are more skilled at workout drills not game play if you look at it that’s how a lot of them cats play though opposing to letting it come naturally like the way a lot of guys do it today you already got your move you know predetermined in your head n just take what the defense give you

Players these days have more skill than any other time in the history of basketball. Problem is a lot of the time they don’t know what to do with the skill they have. Decision making now is worse than ever.
TRUTH. They play TOO fast now. So focused on the move, they can't even recognize how they're being guarded.
More guys can shoot 3’s that’s about it. Guy could always dribble and pass fancy. They just didn’t, they use to call travel and palming. The nba likes the highlights because it sells, the 3’s sell. They have zero fundamentals and the basketball iq is way way way down league wide.

Nah I’m sorry I usually like what sheed says but today is way more skilled. It’s not even close. Because Kevin Durant is the best pure scorer to lace up on a basketball court. And we thought we’d never see another one like him. Now we’ve got damn near 5 of him in the league. Look at embiid and jokic they took everything that works from a traditional big and skilled that to work in to todays game. I think just because you are able to get to what you practice doesn’t make you less skilled. We don’t settle for what the defense gives us. That’s why defense doesn’t look as good because the offensive player has getter to the point where they are going to get to there spot and hit the shot no matter what you do. That is skill taking what the d gives you is not skill that called getting locked up

I didn’t have what I needed to force the issue as a ball handler and the basketball player so now I see other basketball players being able to force the issue demand driving lanes whenever they want and make predetermined moves no matter what the defense does I am jealous because I had to take what they gave me.
