The PGA TOUR heads to Toronto this week for the RBC Canadian Open at Hamilton Golf & Country Club. This week is one of the last opportunities to earn a spot in the upcoming U.S. Open at Pinehurst and to qualify for the Memorial Tournament presented by Workday in seven days’ time. Nick Taylor returns after a playoff win at the 2023 RBC Canadian to become the first Canadian to win his national open in 69 years. He claimed victory at the WM Phoenix Open in February and leads all Canadians in the Official World Golf Ranking (30th). Rory McIlroy will also be in the field this week. He is the most recent winner at Hamilton Golf & Country Club, which hosted the Canadian Open in 2019. The Northern Irishman claimed back-to-back wins before finishing T12 in his return to Valhalla for the PGA Championship. Tommy Fleetwood will also tee it up in Toronto this week. He came up short against Nick Taylor last year after losing to a 72-foot eagle putt in the playoff. He has never finished outside the top-10 in two starts in Canada but is looking for his first top-10 payday on TOUR since a T3 at the Masters. Others to look out for are Sahith Theegala, Shane Lowry and Tom Kim.

like the Lilac he sporting here now Robert [Music] McIntyre ay mack one time there we go I’m the dman three [Applause] under other side of the course 300 yd t- shot 222 left in for his second to the par five Robert McIntyre yeah only 531 on the card that’s a pretty good place to be pitching from 30 chance for Robert McIntyre this is third to the par five going with putter from off the green pretty well judged there shouldn’t be too much in this putt and guys have been feasting on this fourth hole the par five today about that scorecard so H location 18 on and just five off the right hand side Good Start yep as he puts a mark on that we go back to the first and McIntyre chance to get to Seven under see if that left shoulder stays back as he works so hard on and it does man you heard Robert McIntyre cha goes to one under for the day he does and now Robert McIntyre with a big old lash oh good shot let’s see what’s happening but let’s get back to Mcintyre for an eagle to get it to nine and the solo lead that’ll be a two- putt birdie yeah and the Scotsman gets up there into a tie for first he is on the first page of the leaderboard everybody’s chasing Robert McIntyre is second at 12 more excitement here at the par for the Scotsman dialing it in now has this putt to tie McKenzie Hughes at nine under yeah birdied one birdied four and he birdies 12 he was on the Move then his second at 15 didn’t make a bogey on Thursday didn’t make a bogey on Friday as well another birdie there at the 15 bogey free through 36 h and I believe that is the first player to reach double digits 10 under [Applause] again this will be the eagle putt from well off the green for McIntyre hit a really good shot from the left hand r to hear but I’m very surprised to see him going with putter that was a lot of Fairway he had to go through gram I have to question that decision there yeah that play came up a good 15 ft short Wills that one in looked like a four the whole way plays that fade should hold the Fairway pretty easily if he can get it on the right line oh yeah his best swing of the day here Johnson definitely looked a little more free hole shaping that way helps a lot as well needed to find a fairway and McIntyre accomplished it 135 128 covers in line oh this is pulled taking a look at the Tracer by trackman cold it was pulled and it’s into the rough now hello hello Robert welcome to the party here on Saturday at the RBC Canadian open maybe that will shake things loose for the man from Scotland what a shot wants to make sure he finds the Fairway he’ll surrender some yardage and that will be just fine about 250 yards off the T for McIntyre was on the plane the next morning and what a week they’re having just to get to 10 on up you can hear those Canadian fans they goinging this golf course [Applause] how’s that lie Dy it’s fine okay 119 will cover good angle oh yeah may not spin quite as hard that’s exactly what happened to Rory coming from the same place [Music] ni how about [Applause] that about 300 to cover that right bunker and take the rough out of play on the other side of it nice three would got that it does Bingo wow is that good yeah good looking swing there yeah that’s got to go yeah players are so afraid of that fall off we’ve seen them putting dad to work there tending the flag hey Dad’s doing a heck of a job dad come on now I starting to get concerned if he was is going to pull the stick and Time Dr the fly all the way avoid the false front we’ll come back to short that was a committed swing oh right on the money obviously can’t see it over to you Frank you all picked a long time ago this for three in a row and does it [Applause] a good long drive 300 nice flat [Applause] Li beautiful balance one hop up to the front and a good opportunity for [Applause] Eagle coming in here with three in a row but bird got oh yeah and that’s a big birdie I believe that’s officially a heater that sure is five under in four holes and the first eagle of the week maybe his dad got a smile on his face this time come on yes there you go son way to go love the fist pump beautiful 76th in the world rankings McIntyre’s on the te at four all birdies this week hang out on him a little bit swing’s looking a little loose here to start this round he’s got a big head dip gets quite narrow through the transition five under on the par fives this week slightly above his feet came out on a good line oh this is good yeah that’s fine little cushion under that pitch here’s McIntyre just a little flip onto the edge of the green oh that’s nice yeah sure is pretty a lot of spin com out of that lung to cut they beautifully played probably got a nice little Rapport and chat going back over at four and with that putt Bobby McIntyre has regained the solo lead McIntyre The Leader by one Fairway should play wider today with it being softer stop Stone there we are it’s perfect yeah one bounce to the right should be just right y there you go yeah Fe back down the hill just stay out of the divot yep young Mac at seven and McIntyre that is all go with a pitching wedge if you can get it under the hold be a bonus it’s good shot needs to open up the birdie Gates Again at seven McIntyre one in front get in get in now leads by two wow did that spend some time hovering and McIntyre here one under on his round now 15 under leading by two drizzle starting to fall pretty steady again what a shot from McIntyre left for McIntyre here to go 16 under this could get a lot more comfortable Ian he started with a four-shot lead and now he has three shot lead way to fight back after the early bogey big and green and oh with the weather too though of course yes yeah the M Misty weather the the overall feel of the day the golf course he grew up on is very much like this shorter got to allow for the fade here from that Li see where he’s aiming certainly well up in the a and on a very nice line to start beautifully done gloomy feel the couple of times that I’ve been there and one of the Great Courses in the world one of the great Sunday lunches in the world come on now Bobby McIntyre come on at 18 that’s in close you could trim it to one this group has been asked to pick up their Pace as well out of position they are quite a long way behind the group in front of them is on 17t this is a beauty from McIntyre and the back live with McIntyre knocking it close at the [Applause] 15th Mack attacks right back with a birdie of [Applause] Zone watching closely I don’t know if it’s covered starts right at it hanging what a shot Bobby [Applause] McIntyre easy put some change [Applause] down a father and son together forever come on [Applause] big looking right at him looks right over for that look up approval doesn’t get better than [Applause] that thanks for watching the PJ Tour on YouTube to watch more click here to subscribe click here

  1. Tried to tell them pay attention to MacINTYRE!!! Once my dude gets over those nerves and settles in he will be something special, Mark my words. I'm just glad he is facing it head on and allowing himself to shine. With his dad dougie on the bag. You got a special kid dougie. God I love golf. I think dad has a job on the bag. 1/1 is pretty good odds😂😂😂. Only in the great game of golf. How about that for a father's day present 😂😂😂.

  2. Notice how the Canadian fans went silent before each putt. No shouting “in the hole!”. And that is how it should be everywhere.

  3. Hey, Phoenix? Are you watching? Y'all could learn a lot from this. Golf on CBS! It's simply the best. Even without Sir Nick, still hands down the best team covering the PGA. Dotty is so talented. Bobby was the perfect champion. And with his dad on the bag? Beautiful. So perfect. #golfoncbs #dottiepepper
