number three recruiting class in the country was like let me find the team rings for 247 what do they have Asu at now and I click and I I thought I had the wrong page only trailing the University of Alabama and Duke they have the number three recruiting class in the name wild what has happened to this program in the p and I’m not saying that the this everything has flipped it’s completely difference I’m saying that in the past two weeks we’ve seen yes everything is flipped what I yes everything is flipped you have two five stars in in this class two high four stars in this class this class coming in this year before the quainton stuff before BJ Freeman’s transfer was already something to get excited about you already had two committed freshman a freshman Ford and a freshman guard both that could play immediately coming into Bobby Hurley’s class in 2024 and then you get a five star and now you get another five star yeah this is ridiculous Anthony towry this is ridiculous you cannot make it up okay Arizona State Landing five star shooting guard Joe S say Nan I do want to get to some of the tape just in terms of what this kid brings to the team you’ve already talked a little bit about what this class is Jaden quainton and now you bring in another five star and a five star Shane that can score yeah I mean he’s a he’s an Elite Talent when it comes to shooting outside yeah and that’s what ASU needs he he he’s has got a 66 wingspan I mean the dude can score the basketball yeah and that is something that ASU has needed from the outside for a while now obviously he holds himself to a high standard because a lot of this commitment and the reason for this is because Caleb love is coming back and that’s why everyone expected him to leave Arizona but dude I mean he is that guy there’s a reason why he’s the number five shooting guard in the country he can score from anywhere on the court and like you said that’s exactly what Arizona state has needed you look specifically last last season this team didn’t have anybody that they could necessarily point to that you can be like this is the guy that can take over a game now I’m not going to sit here and say that this kid is is going for 30 a night but you bring him to a roster where you have festar Center Jaden quainton one of the top centers in the class of 2024 you’ve got BJ Freeman you bring back Ace wolf who I feel like has gotten lost because of all of the incoming transfers because of the the you know where this recruiting class ranks Ace wolf p paired with this kid paired with Jaden quainton paired with BJ Freeman you’ve got other guys coming off the bench if sea Phillips takes that jump this team is gonna be scary ASU men’s basket first of all Chad am I good now can you hear me okay I basketball what I was saying before before these two five stars came in you were already feeling good about your recruiting class in 2024 we were already talking about how this was one of the better classes Bobby Hurley has had this is the best class Bobby Hurley’s had without a question this is the best class in ASU Basketball might be might be the best this is the best class Inu men’s basketball history in terms of of stars rating rankings whatever you know what is hilarious dude a week ago and we were like okay they need one more spot there’s one more scholarhip open I you know I I what do you want oh I don’t know I want maybe like a like a guard forward transfer that can kind of I want a primary ball handler I want I want a point guard I want you know maybe we can look at this Providence guy maybe we can look at no how about a five star from U OFA I love it how about we steal one of their best recruits going into next year and another thing he is a another reclassified 2025 kid yeah that it’s another Young Buck Who had who reclassified to 2024 this isn’t just for it’s incredible it’s incredible look we were we were doing our other show right we’re about halfway has not only committed to Arizona State but like you said earlier it’s the decommitment from Arizona we haven’t shown the best commitment graphic that I think I have ever seen let’s go ahead and throw that for those of you that didn’t see it initially and I didn’t Shane had to point it out the Arizona in Arizona state is the Arizona text getting burned out the Arizona word Mark turning into Arizona state is such a great touch oh my God yeah it’s one of my favorite Graphics the it’s the best commitment graphic we’ve ever seen because you know how critical I am in these commitment Graphics they look terrible this is so good yeah uh and he is already more into the Rivalry than a lot of kids I’ve seen yeah like he’s going to make sure every time he steps on the court against UFA it’s personal and it is personal it is personal because again love returning to Arizona within the last couple of hours and then you have Sean decommitting y from Arizona and flipping to Arizona State you got to feel like that plays a little bit of a role he did quote retweet the love so yeah we’ll pull that tweet up this is what I find really funny about the whole thing is he said love it and a lot of people on the U OFA side thought this was a good thing for them I I was walking in and when I was I you know prancing around the office yeah when this happened I was I walked into my office and Bo was sitting in there he’s like wait didn’t that guy just like further like double down his commitment I’m like no no this is this is him saying love it I’m gone goodbye shout out Mike Luke cuz he he knew this a while ago oh yeah he’s been on this for a couple weeks now not that he was going to ASU he knew that he was for sure leaving U OFA because he knew Caleb BL was coming back but I I just can’t believe like this is not ASU Basketball last year yes but it’s not ASU Athletics of of the last five years something is changing and it’s changing in the athletic department and obviously it starts from the top it starts with graham Rini it starts with the one and only Michael crow like it it really does feel like the tides are changing and and it and it’s might start there but who brings it home it’s Bobby Hurley it’s people that want to play for him it’s people that want to play for him and Jaren Howard Jaren Howard big big big part of not only Zan but quaintance and BJ Freeman and it’s not just TR them because you don’t like in the in today’s world of college hoops and today’s world of college sports you don’t just go to a school because you love the people they probably have to offer you some money too I’m not saying this was money was involved in general I don’t know the details but what I’m saying is there’s a high possibility that the tides are changing when it comes to nil at Arizona State University and that that is a reason why you need to buy in right now because this is not a one hit wonder this is not a fluke this 2024 class is not just something that is going to happen one year oh they remember that time they had two five stars no I guarantee this is a warning shot I guarantee that next year oh you know what I might want to go play for Bobby Hurley and the sundevils uh you know I’m I’m the number one player in the [ __ ] country and I play school at Perry I might want to go to ASU like that they are in play for some big fish now man all you got to do all you got to do is come visit Arizona State and visit Tempe and you see what is here you see the potential you see the hype now around the roster around the program and I’ll tell you what if this team wins if this team finds ways to be a threat in the Big 12 night in night out on a national scale taking out teams like Kansas taking out a team like Arizona taking out Kansas State Baylor Iowa State now I’m not saying they have to do this night in night out but you you start taking your Jabs the way that Bobby knew he needed to do to get to this conference and be a player and then you start adding wins and you get what you’re saying top 10 players year in year out being like what are they cooking in 10 B you look at the last NCAA tournament who was everybody’s Cinderella story in NC State right now again it’s different in terms of recruits and transfers but what that season did what NC State season just did for them recruiting wise I he the chain I hear you I don’t want to be a Cinderella Story Anthony okay I don’t want that I want to be I want to be a four seed in the tournament that’s fair that’s not that’s not what I want I don’t want to get nine seed making making our way because you know what a nine seed means it means we’re a bubble team yeah this team is it this team has the potential to be way better than a bubble team yeah this team is so deep and I see people I saw somebody in the chat say Well they’re just going to have to rebuild again next year Quon can’t go into the draft next year yeah he has to stay another and he doesn’t have to stay at Arizona State obviously we know how the transfer portal goes and he could go play it professionally somewhere else but this isn’t just for this year as I said this is a building block this is something that is different than it has in the past it’s not like you’re going to grab you know a couple high-scoring high volume guys from a different School school and they’re going to play one year and they’re going to be done no you’re grabbing fstar freshman who you know even if they’re not as good as you thought they were they’re five stars and they’re if they’re not as good as they you thought they were could be a blessing in disguise and they’re here the next year is also like this roster is ridiculous right now and and it had to be again it had to be we’ve talked about this like we’re not we’re not our Bobby Hurley glasses are on our son of a glasses are on I mean how can they not but they’re not so deep on that you’re you’re looking at this roster and saying yeah this team’s winning the Big 12 no you had to you had toing in this type of talent and DEP to compete in the Big 12 now you know what they’re doing they’re going to compete in the Big 12 yeah absolutely I’m not saying they’re going to win a title not saying they’re going to win the Big 12 tournament but I’m saying if you compete in the Big 12 you’re making the tournament yeah 100% absolutely and you you talk about again now in conference play in conference play you have teams that you get a win over Houston Iowa State whatever like these the the resume builders that you have is absolutely massive so yeah ASU may not win the Big 12 but a 67 Place finish it’s getting you in the tournament down 100% hands down 100 they had eight teams in the tournament last year we we talked a little bit earlier about how awesome of that again something that we haven’t necessarily talked about is you’re pulling this off you have the number three class of 2024 in the nation by 247 Sports after a horrendous season in final season of The Pack 12 it’s it’s absolutely remarkable this is the Instagram um graphic and and the caption is ADD state to it hash for up so good that is incredible and again you talk about getting fired up for this rivalry in the Big 12 everybody that this is the the basketball conference right what we talked about forths right is you get these teams competitive now you get Arizona and Arizona State going back and forth in these games you have one of the best rivalries Point Blank period in college sports yeah one uh 100% And you know they you they being you have taken major strides in football and we’ll see if that continues with the next era of of UFA but ASU is now taking strides in basketball that’s that’s something you you would hope for if if you’re a fan of either school oh yeah you want competition you want the smoke and and again this just adds so much more I’m not saying this guy’s gonna come in here and and dunk on Caleb love and go for 25 and hold Caleb short like scoreless but I finished yet I’m going to go ahead get the number five shooting guard in the nation in the class of 2024 and just the icing on the C because he was previously committed to the wild cats down south yep yep it’s again it’s the perfect it’s a perfect way to get a commitment if you’re if you’re a suble fans and and and credit to the roster building and construction of of U OFA and Tommy Lloyd I’m not going to say UV fans are wrong when they say you know this loster this roster is loaded already like it’s not the biggest deal yeah but you lost a festar you did like that point blank period bottom line you lost a festar recruit uh I know you get Caleb love back but we’ll see one thing I will say about U OFA is they were very good last year and they’re going to be very good again but we’ll see yeah because because no final four still I I I think it was Justin Spears that tweeted out there’s no excuse this year for them not to make the final four Arizona Yeah well yeah I mean we’ve seen their pattern they’re due for around a 64 bouns that’s kind of what happens I love it all of these these high school commitment pages is everything uh this one high school top recruits tweeting out Arizona State’s Bobby Hurley is killing it on the recruiting Trail five star Jaden quainton five star josean Sean fourstar Bo Aldridge fourstar Amir Ali and fourstar Sammy en it’s amazing it this again it’s it’s this is the best recruiting class ASU Basketball has ever had and it’s gonna it’s going to show but you’re not just getting five stud freshman to to to help the roster out you have a roster that that is good enough to compete already without the two five stars you got that’s what I was saying before the didn’t talk about um Mason either Yeah Austin Mason he’s he’s probably going to be your primary ball handler Bryson long potentially yeah well that’s what I’m Bryson long as medic medic medically cleared the roster is done this is your roster the depth on this is insane the depth on this team is insane you’re going to have two four stars probably three four stars coming off the bench that’s crazy that’s ridiculous so tomorrow what you’re saying is Thursday May 30th we’re talking all ASU Basketball all show long we’re talking mostly ASU Basketball I’m just gonna rip some ass you Hoops it’s gonna be a good time it’s gonna be a very good time I love it guys hit the like is absolutely true and again you pair that with an offense that moves at the pace that you can expect this ASU offense to move with you might be in for it that’s yeah I don’t know I just don’t know
