Kieran Vincent Clinches Maiden Sunshine Tour Title at KitKat Cash & Carry Pro-Am

In an outstanding display of skill and composure, Zimbabwean golfer Kieran Vincent secured his first professional win at the KitKat Cash & Carry Pro-Am held at Irene Country Club. Vincent, 26, entered the final round tied for the lead but dominated the course with a bogey-free six-under-par 66, finishing at 21 under and winning by four shots. His impressive performance included a series of birdies and a remarkable 40ft putt on the 10th hole. Vincent’s triumph, witnessed by his mother and sister, marks a significant milestone in his career as he aims for future successes, including potential qualification for the Olympic Games in Paris.

Kieran Vincent also plays on the LIV Golf Tour, where he is partnered with the legendary Jon Rahm. This partnership has further honed his skills and competitive edge. Watch the highlights and insights into Vincent’s winning strategies on the Dave Usendorff channel.

we’re here at the Kit Kat cash in kry and it’s great to see Kieran Vincent has come all the way from Zimbabwe but Kieran you went back to Zim recently you played in the Zim open must been great to play in your National open and of course do as well as you did absolutely anytime you back home experiencing Mama’s cooking I mean it can’t get much better than that so it was a great tournament um and yeah just was super excited to be back home in Zim and of course um having having been grown up and born in Zim and all those good things you went to America how did you get to go to America Liberty University was a great place for you absolutely I mean there’s so many um great universities out there on so many different levels um obviously the easiest and the path that I took was just really sending um my CV out to a bunch of University coaches and um and just you know detailing the things that I had achieved um and being able to go across and play in the tournaments like the junior orange ball or um you know playing in things that are worldwide so that coaches can evaluate how you play against against other um foreigners and so that was just the easiest path for me and obviously Liberty was super grateful and I’m super thankful for them to give me the opportunity to come out and play for them so that’s quite an interesting task because a lot of young people particularly in Africa want to go there so it’s it’s it’s not the easiest thing to do so well done to you thank you and then of course you you went across here you’ve had a great time at University you then decided to turn pro went out on the Asian tour and quickly won in Vietnam and I I must say as I was saying earlier I I watched that and it was a tough golf course and you prevail yeah I mean anytime you can Prevail at at any level is just awesome and so being able to do that pretty quickly in my career is just something I couldn’t have dreamed of so it was pretty special and then after that you you took a big Brave step and you went to playing that shootout at Abu dhab Golf Club to get on the on the live tour only three cards available you made the card and now you um sort of in the live in the live environment what is that like in terms of comparing it with what you used to um it’s like being in the deep end I feel like um it’s just new environment um but I think after a couple of weeks now being out there and obviously super grateful for the team that I’m on um they’ve just made me feel like um we’re being at home cuz obviously for all of us it’s it’s something new but I think we’ve all um taken it with open arms and just really enjoyed our time and experience out there so it’s been nothing short of um spectacular and of course your team is is quite an interesting team you got Caleb in there he was a young guy came straight off out of amateur golf and got into the team and then tur haton news character all on his own and then the great Don Ram is your captain I mean you must be learning Lots from him yeah I mean from all of them um even you know even Caleb someone who’s so young has so much to provide to the team so yeah I mean it’s such a unique team uh we’re such a young team um but I think we gel on and we get on like really really well with each other and I think it’s just um it’s an exciting season and and you’ll see I think we’re going to have a long have a good strong push towards the end of the season so excited so that’s Legend 13 we’ll be we’ll be watching you there and then of course I’ll just want to go back back a little bit and and who was your hero who inspired you to become the golfer that you’ve first becoming ah so many good questions um it all started with my dad my dad was the first one to introduce me and my brother to golf and then obviously I watched my brother’s footsteps and saw how he grew and how he traveled the world and how we got to go to some awesome places and I if golf could take him to places like that that’s what I wanted to do I wanted to travel the world and so golf gave that Avenue and I think was inspired for my brother so pretty cool player that’s really nice to hear because your family does inspire a lot of times we all look for these big names but it does come from from directly around you and then of course talking about your brother you guys have decided to go out with the same sort of look and I think if we didn’t know who you were look you see you from a long way away you look like twins absolutely um we are mistaken for twins very often and actually get called a lot of the opposite names uh more than more than once um so yeah he um he copied the long hair so we’re interested to see who’s going to cut it first but um for right now I think we we’re trying to get a shampoo deal I think out of anything but still hasn’t prevailed yet but fingers crossed for that and then finally you know you you come back to to Africa you played Zim open last week you here out the Kit Kat cash and K great to have you in the field you’ve you’ve had two great starting round 6767 um what is the plan for you going to go off to uh Nashville in a couple of weeks and go back to the Liv tour yeah so uh actually Houston before Nashville but um yeah I actually leave out in Sunday head back to the States so yeah obviously enjoy my time time here in Zim um as Zim South Africa and southern Africa but excited to go back um to the states and yeah and see what can happen from me from love well thank you so much this is Karen Vincent one of the superstars rising in the world of golf we look forward to following your career closely appreciate it thank you
