what’s up everybody Ben RI here for stochastic talking a little PGA the RBC Canadian open is upon us no it’s not a major but honestly one of my favorite stops all year on tour we get some different venues uh we’re in Hamilton this time talking about a new course we’ve got a solid field to break down I want to welcome you in all things DFS on this very Channel if you’re new and you stumbled upon us take a look around we are all about finding the process the tools hopefully the analysis to give us a sweat for the big time tourn across the DFS industry want to stick around press subscribe be part of the community we’re marching towards 100,000 Subs but I’m going to go rapid fire through this tournament we’re going to talk about the names we’re going to talk about the course we’re talk about what we’ve got going on here at stochastic so let’s get to it first things first is the Course Hamilton uh golf club Country Club whatever it’s called it’s short it’s technical are 70 not anything gimmicky uh I didn’t see anything when I looked at it in terms of oh you have to do this of course you need to be good with your approach uh with your irons things of that nature but that’s true at most venues there’s no doubt about it I would say that driving accuracy is a little more important than normal driving distance is probably a little less important than normal but when you hit it far it’s never bad it’s never a detriment It’s just sometimes not as big of asset and I think that’s probably the case here when I look at this layout we haven’t seen it in a handful of years Rory actually won the last time I believe it was 2019 that we were at this track I’m sure it’s a little different but I think you know what you need to do you need to keep it out of the thick stuff it is it is at times a little Technical and you’re gonna get a lot of mid mid-range irems 125 150 things like that you’ll hit it on the greens hopefully uh you have chances for birdies if you can roll it on bent more power to you putting is very very erratic we know that it doesn’t take a lot so for me right off the bat I don’t think there’s a crazy skill set stack I don’t see any crazy weather it’s pretty straight up and that’s what I like to see because when you look at the tournament got a lot of different types of players so let’s just Dive Right In Like I said we are not going to waste any time here we’ve got Rory uh kicking us off for that top tier he’s in a tier of his own $1,600 difference between him and the gala and it should be like that he’s like short of four to one to win the tournament in the betting world it’s Rory he’s playing fantastic he’s one here he’s the best player in the field you’re gonna need a lot there’s no doubt about it we’ll see how the ownership numbers progress as the day goes on and that’ll change the optimals and the leverage and all that type of stuff but there’s no doubt that Rory is going to be extremely popular and he should be I’ll be playing a lot of them I think you can make it work there’s a lot of players in this field there’s plenty of salary Savers this week the the question I think that’s more important you don’t play Rory where do you start the Galla Fleetwood Lowry do you go balanced for me uh I know that Fleetwood has been steamed a little bit particularly in the betting Market he’s like 16 to1 which I think is a little much but he does make a nice starting point he’s going to be an aggressive one two with Rory but his game fits so nicely I know he’s searching for The elusive uh W as is a couple other guys but he’s been very very consistent six straight made Cuts he was 26 at the PGA 13th at Wells Fargo the irons haven’t been rock solid uh but the short game has off the te hasn’t and historically he’s a strong iron player so I think that Fleetwood does check most of the boxes you you’ll definitely get a discount in ownership from him to Rory both will probably be popular Lowry he also doing a lot of good things he was right in the thick of it at the PGA but he putted unbelievable I I do think we have to make note of that can’t just gloss over that so for me you’ve got roor you’ve got Fleetwood those are probably the one-w priorities when you go to the nines my man Alex norin I mean the price is getting to the premium I did bet him what’s not to like though the guy hasn’t missed a cut in eons going back to 2023 he was 12th at the PGA 24 at the Wells Fargo third at Byron 23 in corales 14th at Valero 11th at Houston 19th at the Players 10th at the classic I mean the guy is a walking top 25 when you’re 9900 a top 25 is not what you’re going for but everything is is firing the irons have been outstanding he’s gained in seven straight he was always a good around the green player noren checks so many boxes it’s just a little weird to see him at this range he deserves to be here but a lot of the value he was giving you is priced in at this point uh when we scroll to the rest of the nines you have a lot of names and it’s actually a pretty small range when I say the nines you only have five names you’ve got Conor’s Burns Maverick and Adam Scott you can see right there in terms of their projection very very close their ceilings their floors they optimal percentages and again these will update I think for me uh conos will probably be the most popular play I actually have some interest in rolling a guy like Maverick here I think that that would be an interesting wrinkle again I want to see how everything grades out as we get closer but when I look at him he’s another one extremely consistent he gains off the T he’s a spike putter when he gets it going uh watch out on the greens and his irons come and go he has gained in three of four though on the approach and before that he was in a little bit of a slump but Maverick is an erratic player you’ve got you know really options right above and below him in Burns and Connors I totally get that cam young would be I I know I said I don’t think it favors the skill set I’d probably use him maybe with some aggressive we’re gonna talk about Keith Mitchell in a second but it’s not a range that I’m I’m peppering to be honest and part of that is because of the high eights I really like and you can’t play everyone and it’s important to kind of realize the opportunity cost of each range Aaron Ry Keith Mitchell Tom Kim Adam hadwin Canadian mat Hughes Canadian EVR baa lot of names there lot of different types of players the onew punch of Ry and kill Kei is right in my wheelhouse I want to get over on both of those I don’t think I don’t want to say you can but I’m not gonna start there I think I want someone above them in all my lineups but they can easily be the second man in I plan to make some of them the second man in and a lot of teams they’re going to be the second and third man in Aaron Ry is someone I bet last week used him in DFS he managed to sneak through the cut moved up the board he gained eight Strokes T green lost four and a half with the putter that is not what we want to see but obviously it profiles as a pretty good ball striking week no doubt about that and Keith Mitchell has been doing that all year he’s lost in six of seven with the Putter and he has gained off the te and with the approach in 10 straight events I mean just fire him up short course actually helps Keith Mitchell I always go to Honda because he won there not of course I would anticipate him being good at it it could be an outlier win but still he has shown that he can Club down at these venues and be just fine rest of the range I don’t have strong takes uh again I will let the Sims which one of the many tools here at stochastic the link is below read about them even if you don’t sign up be aware of what’s out there I’m using using them to build my lineups we’re using them to build our lineups here at stochastic we’re making money because the process is strong uh between that and lineup generator there’s an option for everybody but I will see in this range how much I get of these guys maybe I’ll manually boost one or two but I’m pretty content just being agnostic here being in line with the field not having any any major takes uh if I did have to take someone below Mitchell and above hubard it would probably be hadwin uh just by a product I think he has the most well-rounded game Ken Hugh short game specialist EVR and bti are wild Nick Taylor kind of indifferent I don’t really have a read there so again it’s not a range that is crazy condensed uh it starts to get there when we get to the sevens um and you start to see all different types of players another Canadian in pendrith you’ve got hubber Davis Thompson who actually played pretty well last week Daniel burer let’s talk about Daniel burger for a second what’s Daniel Berger been doing well he made the cut last week at the Charles Schwab he was 13th at Byron Nelson 50th at the corales uh 45th in Houston starting to come around I think it’s pretty fair to say that Daniel Burger is not a player of this caliber in a good way he does not belong 7700 in this field and he won’t be when he fully gets back uh is he back already that’s a question uh again ownership’s going to have to tell the tale here I don’t anticipate him being being super Popular by any stretch he’s in the pool for me for sure not going to be in the uh Jam spot but I do like this to kind of Buy on the way up he’s starting to get it together and I don’t really see a major opportunity cost here I did like what Davis Thompson did last week uh Tia green has been very strong you know his putting comes and goes but he seems to like easy courses I don’t think this is going to play comically easy but I don’t think it’s going to be terrible either and he’s got the ability certainly with the irons when we’ve seen Davis Thompson really get it going it’s pretty much exclusively uh iron Centric he he spikes with the irons then he gets it going um you know there’s still a lot a lot of unknowns with him but I I actually like his game a little bit for something like this and he was close last year at AMX and a couple others we’ll see where he goes um rest the range though I’ll be honest not much for me I hub’s going to always be a solid play he’s got a price bump for sure pendrith who I’ve been buying on a lot obviously broke through at the wrong time on a personal level but congratulations to him gets the W and then and then followed up with some really really solid golf here uh at the Wells Fargo wasn’t able to replicate it at the PGA but that’s the PGA if you want to stick with pendrith put him in the bucket with really good uh you know drivers of the ball I think that’s fair Kevin Yu as as well I want to look to the next tier though right here so we’ve got hogard gim senson Fox Sheamus Davis ryler’s withdrawn please don’t play him and Bobby Mack so Doug uh I thought he would be really really popular last week because we were in Texas Charles Schwab he did make the cut he did nothing though he was basically flat across the board and came in 50th that’s been the story so right now of his last what two months on tour you’ve got three miscuts four made Cuts zero top 30s gonna kind of put him on the back burner Adam senson though I bet him at 80 to1 I played him last week he’s making Cuts seven straight made Cuts but he has nothing inside the top 20 in those seven made Cuts he was 24th last week though that was the best finish of the bunch he finally gained with the putter just barely but that’s an improvement and T green has been awesome he has gained over one and a half Strokes on the approach in six of seven tournaments that is a recipe for Success not just making Cuts but being even better than that and I expect the results to actually start to really climb for senson so he would be my definitely my priority in the low sevens uh Sheamus Rio hasun you know uh this kid can really play apologies as I butcher his name here but he’s a player there’s no doubt about it I did did not think that he could kind of I thought there would be more more growing pange the thing that I like about him he’s very boom bust uh even in in recent tournaments so he missed the cut at the Masters then he’s 13th at Byron Nelson he comes in the top 20 at the PGA then he misses the cut last week it’s all over the map with him but for a low 7K play you want to embrace that I think that’s exactly the type of player that you want because when you get him right you’re not just making a cut you’re getting play points out of him you’re getting upside out of him and for tournaments he’s absolutely the type of pairing you may look to not just with Rory but with any type of build uh I think he simply just belongs in the pool he’s got some boom bust to him you see right there the optimal percentage and again these are going to update as we get closer to lock as more information comes in about ownership about where we’re at uh so keep an eye on that this is just the data Hub right on uh the stochastic you know page what else we got down here we’ve got thunderbear we’ve got luk list Sam Stevens Eric co uh shkim Matt coocher KH Le so a lot to break down this is where I think skill set is really important it doesn’t mean exclusively but I This is How I build you know where I’m fine-tuning uh The Sims and whatnot if you’ve got some bombers grouped together and you think that’s how the course may play Someone Like luk list or Sam Stevens is going to make a lot more sense if you’re saying it’s going to be be very similar to last week it’s going to be that very you know second shot type course as much as uh he’s not the most glamorous play in the world but Matt coocher that’s the only type of courses he’s going to be able to really compete on and we saw last week at Charles Schwab 17th now I would caution people he’s only doing it with the putter so I would be careful with Matt coocher I’m not chasing that result I would rather play a guy like sh Kim or even Eric Cole and try to spike some type of iron play before I did anything there but who’s my preferred name in this range it’s CT pan once again I played him last week he was on my tweet you could follow me at jazr asdfs by the way always put out some fun golf tweets during the week as my guy and he came in 37th last week but I was actually pretty encouraged he gained with the putter in the first time in three tournaments he lost with the irons and still managed to come in 37th the irons are his bread and butter these type of tracks are his bread and butter 6,700 the pric has come up a couple hundred I don’t think that’s nearly enough uh CT pan makes a lot of sense and for me this is the range I want to land in as my last man in there are names that I’m comfortable with here right next store is Kevin TW Kevin TW somehow is I mean maybe he was always like this and I never noticed but his short game is is wildly good right now and his irons are not so good his off the te is has regressed a little bit he needs to get that back and then we’re in business uh because Kevin TW at 6700 he’s a good scorer very aggressive I like what I see he has turned his game around you want to check out the recent form he’s made four straight cuts he was third in corales ninth at Byron 43rd at Wells Fargo and 24th at the Charles Schwab those are results we’re taking at 6700 we’re simply just yep sign me up no doubt about it so you have two good names right at 67 and I’m going to throw out a third in Chan Kim again this is going to be tournament Centric there’s no doubt about it but I don’t think he’s going to be popular I think that uh his neighbor in Mack m Messier whatever uh that guy’s name is who’s been playing awesome golf as well is going to Garner some ownership Chan Kim has missed two straight cuts but the irons were there he gained two and a half and three and a half in those events he just couldn’t punt he simply could not buy won with the flat stick and that’s going to happen but before that he was working on a made cut streak of eight straight events so I’m not worried about Chan Kim in fact I think that if if ownership disperses to other guys in this range I’m gonna get over on him without allocating a lot of my uh portfolio because people will go to Mack rightfully so um maybe like Ben Silverman he’s a Canadian I do think people will look to that a little bit Novak there’s not that much down here I mean we’re starting to get into the low sixes I don’t think you need to get crazy but it’s always that balance of okay I don’t need to get crazy but how much do I need to get overweight again the ownership on these guys is going to be very very low from Justin low Bud Cy JJ spawn who had an incredibly bad melt last week he quadruple Bogi the last hole to miss the cut um I don’t really know what that means in terms of where he’s at but he certainly should have made the cut last week I don’t think there’s really arguing uh anything else as we scroll down you’ve got some names uh I do think at 6200 Sam Ryder is at least worth discussing this is a guy his approach numbers are better than his neighbors his his form is not good he’s missed three or four cuts his putter which at times has been deadly is not even right really doing much right now but he is a good ball Striker there’s no about that I think that will travel and when you get down here you’re not going to find players that have everything you’re not going to find players that have much honestly a lot of them are struggling with form that’s just the nature of it uh couple bombers I want to point out Johnny vas mty Schmid uh these are the type of guys if you’re looking for a specific build and you’re willing to embrace that no problem going there where are we going now Ben Martin flat six can I interest you in that played him last week he was fine he was fine and I I honestly think you can do the same thing he was 37th at Charles Schwab he did exactly what I wanted him to do he gained on the approach plus 4.2 wish we got the Putter and it would have been a really good finish could have been a top 20 he lost a couple Strokes putting I’d sign up for it again though seven straight made cuts for Ben Martin uh minus you know Myrtle beaches was the ENT I’m not going to dive into that too much but he’s playing good golf let’s just say that uh other than that I’m not sure what else there is in the sixes again if you’re running uh our Sims see what pops up you’re not going to get crazy numbers with this I’ve only run some very prelim because it’s very early on a Wednesday but that is my plan here I know what I want to do at the top from Rory to Fleetwood and then I want to Pepper noren Aaron Ry killer Keith and and fill in from there with CT and tway probably my favorites in the sixes uh we still have the 5K range to get to we’re going to get there right now but again I do want to give a quick shout out not just to what we’ve got going on here at stochastic the link below but also if you do like to bet go to odd shopper.com we are running a flash sale just for today it is just for today to celebrate Dinger Tuesday which was yesterday you can get odd chopper for a week for $ that’s the Discord and all the tools so if you if you make some bets whether you bet golf baseball soccer basketball hockey it doesn’t matter come on in for the week test out and see what we’ve got I have a feeling you’re going to stick around we couldn’t be uh more excited to see that really continue to grow uh and the tools over there it’s the same process we are using here at stochastic to try to really do some damage in DFS we’re doing it in the bedding streets over at odd shopper.com links below where are we going step one be careful it’s the 5K range uh but there are names there are definitely names one uh the bucket hat man Joel Damon he’s 5800 that’s pretty reasonable uh good ball Striker horrendous putter he made the cut at the Charles Schwab he’s made three straight cuts nothing inside the top 50 his putting is so bad that it it’s almost impossible to get upside and that is this obviously concern you hope it flips you know it 10 flip but he’s just putting he’s losing three or four strokes putting every single week so it’s a simple evaluation he’s the best iron player I think in this range but he might be the worst putter in the field uh Robbie Shelton played really really good last week no doubt about that if you want to buy on that type of form I think you can Hayden Buckley played really good last week same kind of thing there starting to get to names that I don’t feel super comfortable with one last guy before I bounce out of here David lipsky 5400 he led the field in Strokes gained approach last week not Davis Riley not anybody else David lipsky Plus 10.7 on the approach I don’t care that’s ridiculous now the form came out of nowhere absolutely nowhere he’d been missing Cuts all over the place he comes the ninth at Charles Schwab is that a blip on the radar very possible did he find something if that’s the casee 5400 is not the right price and we should be buying on David lipsky that is something that we may have to pay to play we may have to play to find out I don’t really know but that is a name that you at least have to acknowledge because when you lead the field in Strokes gain approach and you’re in the basement of the pricing that is just something you don’t see too often he might be my last man in though uh no disrespect to any of these guys shout out Kevin Chapel shout out miles kraton uh yeah I’m not going to get to any of these guys I’m just looking for cool names Maxwell seir that is a pretty cool name but honestly I don’t think there’s a need to do that the pricing is not that tight if you don’t use Rory it’s super soft if you use Rory you’ve got a million guys in the sixes uh and the sevens that you can get to in a couple of punts in the 5K range to round it out if need be but to me very generic building week what I mean by that you have price points uh up and down the range and it gets wider and wider you’ve got five in the nines got like eight in the eights and then it starts to really fill out so the amount of pivots you have around you know your Superstars your top end players is going to be immense here and that is I think the challenge of this week I’m excited to see it get underway I’m excited to see how these builds look uh I’m excited to talk about this I I really appreciate everyone hopping in checking it out if I didn’t mention it guy because again I want rapid fire talking about the plays that stand out to me tweet me Jazz rdfs happy to take a look at any golfer uh talk about the tools if you have questions and again make sure you’re checking out everything we’ve got here at stochastic want to see these tools and action there’s no doubt about it uh I what can I say I just use them every single week it’s really helped my process not just in PGA but just in general so shout out to the devs for doing all the work and then I just get to hang out and talk about it build some golf lineups but I’m going to bounce on out of here I’m excited to see the Canadian open this week and hopefully Alex norn wins that would be very useful for me but for me and for everyone here at stochastic again good luck take down some tournaments and when you do make sure to tweet us we want to celebrate those wins with you and I will see you again next week [Music]

Showing some good ROI lineups would help get a good idea how to put everything talked about together
Agree with you on Ryo. Missed the cut by 1 last week and weather was a reason/tough course. Very underlooked
Frickin love Ben
Did great last week with all your info! Thank you for what you do!
