The PGA TOUR heads to Toronto this week for the RBC Canadian Open at Hamilton Golf & Country Club. This week is one of the last opportunities to earn a spot in the upcoming U.S. Open at Pinehurst and to qualify for the Memorial Tournament presented by Workday in seven days’ time. Nick Taylor returns after a playoff win at the 2023 RBC Canadian to become the first Canadian to win his national open in 69 years. He claimed victory at the WM Phoenix Open in February and leads all Canadians in the Official World Golf Ranking (30th). Rory McIlroy will also be in the field this week. He is the most recent winner at Hamilton Golf & Country Club, which hosted the Canadian Open in 2019. The Northern Irishman claimed back-to-back wins before finishing T12 in his return to Valhalla for the PGA Championship. Tommy Fleetwood will also tee it up in Toronto this week. He came up short against Nick Taylor last year after losing to a 72-foot eagle putt in the playoff. He has never finished outside the top-10 in two starts in Canada but is looking for his first top-10 payday on TOUR since a T3 at the Masters. Others to look out for are Sahith Theegala, Shane Lowry and Tom Kim.

second shot for McKenzie Hughes from the rough at the 10th and that is a great shot let’s flip the sides Davis Thompson at the par 3 sixth that is a lovely bunker shot oh McKenzie Hughes that the Eagle at 12 that is so [Applause] good location 18 on and just five off the right hand side Good Start yep and McIntyre chance to get to Seven under see if that left shoulder stays back back as he works so hard on and it does man you heard Robert McIntyre now McKenzie Hughes we grew up just s miles away from Hamilton Golf and Country Club yeah great shot on does he do it again oh my gosh she already HED out once nearly did it for a second time like what do you mean that didn’t go in Andrew Novak yeah that gets the right kick for Novak to Cozy on up Novak playing some G this morning Jeff boogy over at 13 but he is RedHot otherwise Brandon woo at six that is a low scorcher that was completely missed off the heel and that’s going to be almost in the hole that’s an accident but he’s going to make a birdie get the even par back over to the sixth hole that’s Ben Griffin trying to dial it in and Ben way to convert oh chandor is going to eye this one down let’s see if we can have one Jeff Chandler filling showing us there might be an ace in the bag on 13 today 91 yds after a 36y drive taking dead aim at this hole he was eyeing that one and rightfully so this center of the Fairway 122 should be taking dead aim looks like he is oh makes it stop great look for birdie to get to five under Chan Kim on the T at eight that’s a good swing and a really nice results yeah holoc 21 on seven off the right can throw this right at it oh did he ever and a tie for second with David skins is second at the 12th s down yeah beautiful shot I think if you have an accent the ball listens better to tie McKenzie Hughes at nine under yeah birdied one birdi four and he birdies 12 chessen Hadley t- shot at the par three eighth hole 189 yards four off the left beautifully done back to the front side Sam Stevens on the T at 8 also bringing this in nicely oh wow Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better Robert McIntyre who is now the solo leader at nine under this is at 15 his second shot coming off that slope oh what a great kick heading over the 13th Matty Schmid this one’s on a rope swing beautiful one time one time oh double bogey at the first hole can he bounce back here at the second oh I think he can what a response still with 11 holes to go in his round Keith Mitchell out of the bunker on 13 how about it do something special that was uncalled for just double checking This breeze supposed to be up 18 to 14 mph doesn’t seem like we’ve seen all this week it’s H attacks the flag here at the eighth bran ster his second at the 16th now just a little punch shot from that deep stuff set goes right in like his putts that’s fabulous at the 18th this is Joel Damon second up the hill saw Matt Wallace hole out from almost this point yesterday much more generous back left hole location today excellent shot there from Jo at 16 this is Ryan Fox putting down the hill slightly left to right oh yeah two shots back is Ryan New Zealand with four early birdies do the same see if Joel Damon can cash in after that wonderful second shot at 18 and he dog good three there at 18 for Damon he just make the turn three under already every step of the way here at this event 211 G Woodland second on the way hardest hole on the golf course the 11th oh wow oh no he didn’t Woodland hooping it at the 11th birdie eagle he’s 300 through two On The Backs side [Music] and Johnson had said he could maybe make a little bit of a run here after turning it three under par and look at that taking advantage of the fourth hole everybody’s making birdies there you have to do it if you want to win this tournament back at 14 feet in the fairway golf ball in the first cut for Taylor imagine hitting at 322 off the T Johnson and being first to play but might be last to putt well that’s what he needs with five holes left another one on a great [Applause] line like you said Co here the front of the screen kicks towards it as [Applause] well oh takes the Hop and releases I mean how beautiful was that such a cool little shot just kept that CL face open through impact playing very well good golf course for him as well really reward someone who finds the Fairway is that any good Fox other side of the golf course second at five really good spot off the te had the whole length of the green to work with and hold on I mean another two yards and that goes down a massive a false backhead Rober McIntyre has been alone at top the leaderboard the entire time we’ve been on the air until right now Ryan Fox making a huge move today six under he has four holes remaining and he has matched McIntyre under currently three back of the lead held by McIntyre and now Fox here’s [Music] mooy it was a four all the way Jackson never a doubt great play that bunker that’s just ridiculous Johnson what a four well when you’ve got the skills like he he has you can afford to do things and take chances where other players just can’t and Ryan Fox birdie a few minutes ago he has caught
