Fishing for DINNER PLATE BLUEGILLS!!!

In this video, I am micro fishing with my dad! We are in our tiny boat at a small pond, and using worms and topwater lures to catch giant bluegills!

Dad and I catch bass, hybrid bluegill, pure bluegill, and a huge green sunfish!

[Music] notice like there’s more vegetation yeah nice nice all right my friends it’s like 60° in the midwest the coldest temperature that I’ve felt in so so so so so long out here with my Dad one of our favorite ponds there’s way too many little basss in here but some Giant Bluegill and we’re kind of at that weird point in between um in between fall and summer where the fish aren’t really getting ready for fall yet not really bulking up for winter but they’re also kind of done with their their Summer patterns of being in deep water and they’re just kind of sporadic all over the place so me and Dad are trying to find them dad’s using a tiny little Whopper plopper and I got that little earthworm on a 140th oce jig head right there 4 lb line C King wideeye Rod C King Zephyr size 1000 reel we’re just going to go in our little 8ot boat here and fish this whole Pond everywhere we can and try and catch something thank you for watching looks nice not to have the vegetation yeah to deal with Palmer something’s falling around bigger oh o nice we got to hang out here for a little bit Yeah biger crew me there that’s a pretty one I bet a lot of them think that that little thing is a grasshopper oh really that’s what they’re eating right next to the shore it’s grasshoppers up there oh man that was cool got to be yeah too bad no yes that’s insane two bass one cast have you ever done that before [Music] never and bring it over here let me see look at that the little mini Whopper plopper two Bass one cast that’s awesome dad good job it’s the first single double I’ve ever had je what is it big old bo nice oh man he’s pretty and that was out there in the middle on bud yeah he just got crazy colors that is a really cool blue gill I like him what a cool fish got him yeah that was a reaction strike really I think it’s the face it’s not moving all of a sudden it was moving you got snag oh yeah he’s it’s definitely a fish he snag on something yeah just keep him keep pulling on him here he comes dad that’s a blue gill oh it’s a nice one too you got him on the Whopper popper all right all right that’s a giant that’s a green sunfish that’s a green sunfish this would be equivalent to like a 12lb large mou serious yeah that’s just huge that’s a massive green sunfish that Dad just caught look at he’s got the purple right here the yellow fins oh I got a fish on here let him go oh we almost lost that Rod too grab that Rod that guy is pretty cool happened on a Whopper plopper which is just awesome little greeny you give us a little push play oh wow big old crappie crappie ever hit top water I haven’t seen it happen too often hey there he just got cool colors oh man big old no he’s not that big he’s old old old old look at his Tails all burnt out from his [Music] sping yeah is that a good one yeah yeah big boo maybe they’re out here I’m wondering that’s pretty it’s been a long time since we caught like a really big one here caugh a lot of big ones it’s been a long time since we got a really big one something nice I don’t know it’s stuck whatever it is oh was it a fish oh I think it’s still might be a [Music] fish feels like a bass no it’s not hybrid big nice nice That’s super interesting yeah that’s a PB today in it Bud yeah that is nice nice out here in the middle of nowhere I’m like really that gu is pretty cool tell me why how you know he’s a hybrid he’s got the bigger mouth than a Blu Gill mhm smaller mouth than the green sunfish the ear tab is longer and goes back further okay and then he’s got these fins back here that are tipped with yellow or gold and he’s got the blue up here like the green sunfish has okay he’s pretty cool he is so cool he’s pretty big he’s awesome
