The inaugural Mbale Ladies Golf Open teed off today at Mbale Golf Course with over 65 players competing. The tournament, which also features a juniors’ competition, is aimed at encouraging women to join the sport of golf.

[Applause] nice shot two reasons why we have these tournaments one is that we’re trying to encourage other ladies come and partake in this tournament so we believe that once we come and we crowd the course so many ladies will say we want to join this this tournament that will encourage them to join the second one is once we bring tournament there’s a revenue flow to B theal golf I mean balet Sports Club cuz most of the time you find that many thought that this game is for for the gents so now that they are seeing women many are encouraged and have received so many phone calls people who want to join they asking how do we become part of this
