Thanks for watching this review of the new Ecco LT1 Golf Shoes

today I’ve got the new shoes from Echo golf the LT1 but there’s something about them that’s confusing me a little hello everybody and welcome back to the golf a lot YouTube channel today we’re doing another golf shoe review if you’ve liked the other ones I’ve done this year please hit that like button drop into the comments below and let us know if you’re liking this kind of content so we can do more of it for you guys now this year sees the release of the new Echo LT1 this is a sple skull shoe and first impressions it looks typically Echo premium materials you’ve got the bower on there as I say it’s spikeless it looks super comfy it looks fairly contemporary but having said that there’s something about echo shoes you know we’ve seen back in 2010 Fred Couples first wearing you know those hybrid Echo spikeless golf shoes and really influencing the rest of the gold shoe industry forever really but there’s been so many different iterations of these shoes and I just wonder whether there’s something about them that’s becoming a little bit syy there’s so many different shoes in the Echo that are all spikeless that are all premium that are all waterproof that are all fairly lightweight that are all breathable that all look fairly similar I’m just a little bit confused about where these fall into the range especially given the price point of these shoes and how they fit in the industry and whether it’s really worth your money to invest in a shoe like this so these SP of shoes are supposed to be lighter than the C4 and the H4 models from the previous two years is so what Echo have done is they’ve used their existing fluid fo and then this new new technology of lighter fo which still gives you that high level rebound cushioning and stability under the shoe but it’s just a little bit lighter to make the overall shoe in your hands and on your feet you know just just give you that bit more longevity out on the golf course so that foam is then combined underneath the shoe and you can see here in the in the out soole and and in the little the main shank in the middle of the shoe here to create an edts net design now in English DTS stands for dynamic traction system so basically that’s just saying that this here the outsole of the shoe if you take a look there’s different size kind of lugs some of them have different firmness um some are harder than others and they’re all kind of facing different ways specifically designed to give you the most traction on the golf course regardless of of of where you’re playing them what sort of surface you’re playing them and then finally you’d probably look at these and think they’re a summer shoe but actually they are waterproof as well so they’ve got a waterproof membrane coating over the upper of the shoe and all around here to really give you that waterproof security for playing in all different types of conditions as well you’ll have seen the bow system on these now they do come available in lace but I’ve got them in the bower lacing system as well and I’ll talk a little bit about that in just a second now the price of the echo LT1 as we’ve kind of come to expect with Echo and the way they position themselves in the market the premium shoes they use premium materials we’ve kind of seen that over the years so it’s no shock to be fair that the lace version of these the kind of Standard Version if you like is 170 RRP now the bower these I’ve got in front of me are at200 now for a spikeless shoe I think that’s a lot of money but as I said we know that about Echo I just think that there’s some other models in the industry and in the market that might give you a little bit of value for money but we’ll come to that in a second once we’ve looked at the performance on the golf course okay then so the looks of these golf shoes I don’t think they’re the best looking Go shoes Echo I’ve ever made I really don’t I don’t think they look bad they’re quite clean there’s nothing to hate the shape of them is a little bit nondescript I think it’s all a little bit rounded and all a little bit safe to be honest with with you what you do get is a lot of these kind of detailing on the upper this kind of like wave effect where there’s slight perforations to the leather and just looking closely at these perforations I mean I’ve worn these over just 18 holes testing these and yeah still nice and clean but I wonder over a few rounds as you start to play with them how these would be to keep clean I can see little bits of mud bit of cost Dey getting stuck in those and it being a bit bit of a tough one to clean okay so like all of our golf shoe reviews we tested these on the golf course and as you know in the UK it’s been wet it’s been damp but we picked a fairly bright Spring Light day now straight away putting them on you get that Echo feel you get that fit that hugs your foot that you get that mesh inside the shoe that really like I say hugs your foot and gives you that really comfortable satisfying feeling as you’re putting the shoes on you always get that from echo shoes and nothing changes here super comfortable straight out of the box and then as I started to walk in these Go shoes hit golf shots you know walk up hills walk downhills and just really wear these shoes in a little bit yeah that continued what I really liked and something I want to mention is this kind of inside the tongue area I’m not quite sure if you can see that there but there’s there’s almost like a inside sock liner that attaches from the sides of the shoe to the tongue itself and you get this kind of really stretchy material there and that sits on the top of the shoe really nice cuz sometimes I find with Bower that if it’s wrapped quite tightly the thin lacing of the bower can be a little bit harsh on the bridge of on your Bridge of your foot but whereas something like this that kind of mesh really nice soft cushion in there can combat that really nicely so there’s no kind of little aches when you first put these on and you’ve got them tied tightly with with the bow at all really really comfy on the top of the shoe underneath you get an oror light insole so I’m just going to pull this out because actually what it says on the sole itself this is quite a thin insole it says there I don’t know if you can see that but it says remove for extra width so you get this really thin orite insole and then there’s another one below which is a little bit firmer but it then says there in the shoe extra WID I did do a little bit of testing with the insult out of the shoe you still get a really really comforting feel underneath your foot even with that insult not in now moving on to the traction of the shoes as I say on test it was a fairly wet kind of wintry day I was pretty impressed I had no issues whatsoever playing out the sand hitting drivers hitting irons hitting from different lies although there’s not much to this shoe that doesn’t look to be in terms of the design of the actual outsole I was pretty confident on the golf course the only thing I would say if it was raining if it was really wet if I was playing on almost a damp lynxy course where there’s not as much kind of grab to the turf would I be 100% confident in wearing these if I was playing in kind of a medal or a singles competition I think I would probably go for something that had a little bit more grab to them on the bottom of the shoe whether that’s Spike shoes or just a spikeless you maybe the pro SLX just gives you that little bit more but you’ll have to let me know on that as I say when I did my testing pretty good but wasn’t 100% comfortable if it did get really wet okay so after testing these over 18 holes and comparing them to some other shoes what is my verdict of the echo LT1 they’re a great golf shoe I think once you go Echo you kind of never go back I think there’s always somebody at your Golf Club there’s always somebody in a four ball who swears by Echo and I think those guys will love this shoe it does exactly what echo shoes want to do it’s premium materials it’s comfortable it’s got decent traction it’s got you know it’s breathable it looks pretty good it looks exactly like an echo shoe should but for me I think there’s better value for money in the spikeless shoe out there and there’s another thing that I kind of just want to flag that I was a little bit disappointed with having tested the shoes and then taking a closer look at them after giving them a bit of a clean after the round so if you take a closer look here now I’ve only played in these for 18 holes and you can see here on this section of the shoe where you see the kind of upper you’ve got this first piece of foam second piece of foam and then the out soole on this second bit here you can just see some marking there now I have scrubbed that pretty hard to try to get that off you can see it there on the front of the shoe on the toe you can see it a little bit there and you can also see it a little bit here and a little bit on the back of the shoe there I was just a little bit disappointed at how easy that section of the shoe marked up over one round of golf if you were end to look at that after 10 Rounds 20 rounds a season playing in the UK what’s that what’s that going to look like I’m not quite sure so a little bit disappointed about that I have to say but all in all ekko’s claims about creating a lighter shoe than their predecessors that we’ve seen in the H4 and the C4 in previous years this is light it’s light to hold I enjoyed wearing it on the golf course and after 18 holes you know my feet didn’t feel tired it were really lightweight to wear so if that’s the kind of shoe you’re after for this year could be a great option for you now my final thoughts have to come back to the value for money for these shoes as I say £00 for Boer 170 for Lac I just think you look at the Adidas s2g at 90 yes probably not going to last as long probably not using as many premium materials you then look at the Puma GSX effect 100 similar [ __ ] the shoe great traction yes maybe not as many premium materials yes you don’t get the bower but you’re looking at nearly £100 difference there and if I was spending my own money would I go for a shoe like this probably not so that’s my review of the echo LT1 shoes thank you so much for watching get down into those comments let me know what you think of these golf shoes and as always subscribe for more [Music]
