hey guys it’s your favorite Unk here go ahead and click that subscribe button below so you don’t miss a single episode of night cap that button right here come for the sports stay for the stories Gordon hayward’s wife had a lot to say on IG today yeah Robin and Hayward said why trade for someone and not play them missed it by not integrating him since I have time today before the trade Gordon told Sam he didn’t think the trade made sense uh so how can he miss when a player told you again hi Brody not sure if you know this but you need a ball in order to shoot hey I I like that I I like that the the the wife the wife coming to defense of the player and obviously you do need the ball to shoot um I know Gordon Hayward a little bit not personally obviously the few games that I have watched before I started doing Nik cap and I’ve seen him play if I’m not mistaken he’s a he’s a good perimeter he’s good from three if I’m not mistaken I seen him when he was with the Hornets right he was with the Hornets at one point yeah yeah you know decent player so I’m not sure how it’s come to this point where he’s not efficient or effective and if he was trading on the team they traded for him for a reason so why wasn’t he used in the right way the man said I made a mistake you ever made a mistake you ever bought something and said man I shouldn’t have bought that yeah but that’s not nice to say especially at the GM when you’re in that position listen listen to me a position of power and there there are certain things that you’re supposed to keep in house you don’t public you said you want now see when when when when I say that about players you get upset with me when coaches say certain things about players you get upset why you getting upset if they telling the truth you say tell the truth set you free yeah I mean telling the truth will set you free but is it right for a person in his position to say something like that about a player because you know other players see stuff like that and be like you know what hell no I don’t want to go play for him if that’s how they feel about youo he didn’t say he was a bad player he said based on what I he said listen what happened he said we were a different team right than when we got him because guys started to play better if guys starting to play better what am I gonna do so I’m gonna take him out or I’m gonna take Jaylen Williams out or I’m gonna take Chad out or I’m gonna take Lou Dort out let’s be real Gordon Haywood hadn’t been the same since he broke that leg in Boston let’s be all the way real yeah he had great he had great seasons yes in in Utah but bro he man it’s been a long time since Utah we got to stop this notion and Sam pres said look we made a mistake I missed on that one he can’t be perfect I mean he tra he traded for Shay he drafted Jaylen Williams he drafted Chad I mean every other thing that he’s done he got what he could out of the rust trade he brought Chris Paul in traded him got some more compensation I think he’s done a great job all he’s saying he’s not saying Gord Hayward is a bad player he said I miss because coming here we got better and there was no room for him to play I don’t like that there’s always room there’s always a room for a player of his caliber that has done some of the things that he’s not that player anymore oo how do we know he’s not that player if he hasn’t been afforded the show you why Charlotte trade him then if he’s that player huh why Charlotte trade him if he’s that player why Boston trade him if he’s that player well Charlotte was dumping Charlotte was dumping at that time and re building if I’m not mistaken right rebuilding what the house already already down why B think about it remember he was there wasn’t hold on wasn’t he there with Jaylen Brown and Jason Tatum and Big Al yeah how that work out for him so why is he not in Boston I’m not sure you know you are sure listen the game of basketball is different and it’s all about what have you done for me lately unless you’re a super super duper Star then you really ain’t going nowhere unless you force your hand and you want out oh Joo yeah it’s like D Rose D Rose wasn’t the same player after he tore his knee Gordon Hayward was not the same player after he broke his leg he just wasn’t yeah he wasn’t nobody in the chat even the staunchest Gordon Hayward fan will tell you he’s not the same player not even close he’s a shell of himself and could he have been the seventh guy but that’s not what he’s making it seem like he should have been the Sixth Man or the in the starting rotation bro that’s not you anymore Ah that’s that that’s tough how it tough that’s tough because I’m I’m I’m sitting here thinking about the players I’m not saying he’s Adrien Peterson but Adrien Peterson towards ACL and came back and was still at board yeah I’m thinking about all the other players that have been in Kevin Durant Kevin Durant Tes ailles came back and was still at board tell me tell tell me Mr Gordon broke his leg and came back and all of a sudden he’s not the same wasn’t him close wasn’t him close let me ask you a question when dere Rose tow his knee was he ever that same player hey not listen Derrick Rose was special I’m just asking you was he the same player we know he was special he’s the youngest MVP in the NBA history so we know he speci it took away some of his skill and ability and the explosion he did yes yes yes so what about so what about Gordon Hayward what did go so what did Gordon Haywood average in in Utah he was like a 20o score he made the allstar team yeah yeah yeah me personally I thought he was overvalued from the jump that’s just me personally watching the game right watching him play I thought he was overvalued okay the Celtics thought it would be a great acquisition okay fine I ain’t got no problem with that but go uh his last couple years in Utah what he average he was like a 20 and 20 and six guy 22 Yeah 225 225 and three okay Boston what was his best year in Boston yeah he made Allstar team his last year in in in Utah that’s how he got that Max contract he probably should have stayed there but okay he wanted to win he didn’t think he could win in Utah I got no problem with that I commend the guy for giving up that fifth year and going to Boston because he thought they had a better chance of winning he broke his leg like the first game like the first game of the season ah next season average 17 he a he had he averaged 11 then 17 went to Charlotte average 20 see see see okay what do he have see the see 15 okay after that 20th season in Charlotte 15 14 nine ah hello are we understanding why those numbers are decreasing because the playing time is decreasing as well I don’t think I’m just personally I don’t think there’s anything wrong with G Gordon Hayward I just think he’s not getting the playing time that’s needed to score the 20 the score the 19 that’s all and I I know I’m I know I’m right I know I’m right because you just don’t fall off a goddamn Cliff simply because you broke your goddamn leg Yeah sometimes you’re not you’re not the same player I mean it wasn’t it’s not like he had great athleticism to begin with yeah that prop I’m I’m assuming he’s a perimeter shooter mid-range is good I’m assuming he’s nice from three if if let’s just say you’re only a step better and you lose that step then what happens oo then if if you have that weakness what your team can do they can run plays for you to free you up that’s that’s that’s that’s that’s what that’s what they do in the NBA that’s what they do in the NFL when a certain player has weaknesses and he can’t win on his own you scheme him open same thing basketball and then when the season’s over what they do with that player they move on you know how when a player gets old and he’s not giving you that same production they ask you to take a pay cut first right hey bro hey hey yeah you know we know you used to give us 13400 yeah can you give us 1250 for a third of the salary nah man I can’t okay well then we gonna have to release you yeah I me personally look like I said I I don’t like I said I watch Gordon Hayward I know his game uh he was an outstanding player uh I didn’t have him in as as a top 20 player but he was a solid player 225 and three says that he’s a solid player getting those numbers in the NBA good but he goes to Boston I’m not so sure that was the best fit when you got JT and JB uh I mean that’s a that’s a nice three-headed monster for someone that’s scoring 22 a game but they all play basically the same guy all of them are small forwards so if if he was a big and now you got JB and JT you can SL either way you can make those interchangeable you can play them at the three to four you can slide one to the two well but tell tell tell goddamn Mr come on down come on down to Miami we’ll take him we’ll take him we have the suppos to know what to do with you come on down here Gordon Haywood I know you gonna see this come on down to Miami we know what to do with you boy you hear me yeah [ __ ] we know how to we know how we know how to use our players [Music]

  1. It sounds bad but i think he meant “i missed when it comes to fit”
There’s no space for him in okc

  2. I'm with Ocho. Gordon never got the chance to be the guy in Boston. He missed the whole year and by the time he came back, it was Brown, Tatum, and Kyrie's show. It was less about ability and more about opportunity. The Hornets have, and still are, a dumpster fire. Why play Gordon when you can give the young guys a chance to turn into something? Also, if he supposedly didn't think the trade to the Thunder wouldn't work, and surprise, it didn't work, that's a management issue.

  3. shannon doesn't know so much about basketball and this clip shows it. I'm not saying Hayward is the same player he was in his prime … but to start mentioning why teams like boston and charlotte traded him away, is nonsense. he lost his role in boston because of the inuries and tatum n brown had to come into their own & he was decent in charlotte when lamelo was out and rozier wasn't consistent. Hayward for sure could've helped w. the pace of the game when shai goes to sit if the other young players bought in to hayward being a valuable asset and incorporated him and used his style of play. shannon just be chatting and going by the headlines

  4. Okc fan here who watched the entire Sam Presti presser- This quote was taken out of context. Sam why trying to say that he missed because he underestimated how difficult it would be to add any player to this team in the middle of the season. Obviously Gordon didn’t pan out the way we wanted but Sam was in no was saying he regretted the trade as the main purpose to free up 30 mill this summer.

  5. So Shannon it’s ok for the GM to be unprofessional because he feels like he made a mistake. And you have no definitive proof he’s not the same player.

  6. Shannon needs a more knowledgeable partner than Ocho. Ocho does not know much about the NBA and its players. He is worse than Big Perk.
