I’m here with SN wi Conor Hughes and Conor for the second time this offseason we got to see Aaron Rogers with the offense again it’s OTAs but what did you see well it wasn’t as good on Wednesday as it was last week which again is fine it’s OTAs uh practice actually started fine the first two 11on 11 drills were were good the the seven on seven drill was fine it just went off the rails a little bit uh when the Jets ran a red zone drill beginning at the 10 yd line three plays the offense had to score against the backup defensive line backup secondary starting linebackers with CJ Mosley and Quincy Williams were there and they w’t able to get it in the end zone Rogers missed one to alen Lazard on a back shoulder that just didn’t connect tried one to to Kenny ioa over the middle good defense there uh from Quincy Williams and then went again pylon or in front of the pylon I should say to Lazard again who dropped the ball so uh in totality Rogers I had him in 11 on 11 drills and seven on sevens 11 of 17 that’s not great I will say though uh he was one of five when targeting alen Lazard and Lazard did not have an overly good day I had him for three drops a couple misconnections one where he pulled up lame a little bit on a go ball for Rogers that could have been a big play two highlights though they were there from the offense one and seven on seven drills Rogers perfect pass down the scene to yoa who’s flashed a little bit here in OTAs and then a diving catch from Garrett Wilson who seems to make the spectacular look ordinary every day this guy’s going to be a superstar he’s number five now because he says he’s feeling more like himself as number five all right let’s talk about the defensive line because we got to hear from Quinn Williams and Germaine Johnson today it’s going to look a little different this season because they lost a lot of guys but added some pieces yeah H reck is here and it’s going to be interesting to see how defensive line coach Aaron white cotton deploys these guys he he’s one of the better defensive line mines across the NFL I think he’s going to be a defensive coordinator uh in short order once the Jets offense starts getting this team some wins and they start publicly seeing some things but uh he’s going to have to get his creative juices flowing to see how he’s going to mask some of those losses because Bryce Huff he was a dominant pass rushing Force John Frank L Myers and you might not see it in the sack total the last couple of years but he was a very important piece to this defense those two guys are gone I think you’re going to see the Jets try to cover up those absences by moving guys all over that means you’re going to see Germaine Johnson inside you’re going to see Will McDonald inside you could see Assan reic inside you’ll see quinnon Williams maybe outside truly they’re going to deploy these guys differently on every play to try try to create some mismatches for the opposing offense all right well Conor looking all Dapper in your little jacket I appreciate it all right for Conor Hughes I’m Jana kley
