The DP World Tour continues its European Swing this week for the European Open at Green Eagle Golf Courses in Hamburg. Tom Mckibbin returns this week after holding off home favourites Maximilian Kieffer and Marcel Siem to claim his maiden DP World Tour title last time out. He comes into the week on excellent form, with three top-10s already this season and on the back of securing his maiden Major Championship by coming through U.S. Open Final Qualifying. Major champion Danny Willett will be in the field this week. He exceeded expectations by making his comeback following a shoulder surgery at The Masters last month finishing 45T overall. Sweden’s Jesper Svensson will also be in Germany this week. He claimed victory at the Porsche Singapore Classic in March and finished 43T in the PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club. Others to look out for are Rasmus Højgaard, Keita Nakajima and Yannik Paul.

this is the German Yanik de bruy big tall strong fell came from The Challenge tour sorry and the tour School CH tour school graduate brilliant start from him this at five for Lori caner and it was three on the truck so he’s off to a quick start as well there’s a few of them out there he’s only made one pass so far eight feet in front of him he’s not worried about PA in all honesty this is a dream start for de bruy home event and look what he’s doing to the monster caner his second shot into the sixth Par Four and there it is I think panai left awkward just before the Downs slope de Brien he’s six under and he’s only played one of the the six par fives this is the second one uh that is not great well believe it or not this is for a front nine on the green monster of 29 oh he’s super calm over that one in front of his home fans that is amazing golf to open up his tournament let’s go down to the 10th de bruy his second driver for Danny I like that play it’s 2o 0 to get past the trees on the corner and the bunker down the right really is no trouble at all that his miles right couple of cups of break from the left I can see for Danny Willet fast one as well not an easy putt but they’re all makeable yeah they are if you they’re PL like you Hower well maybe Dan maybe Danny does like me have you got the lottery numbers please for Saturday I’ll give you them to later my word how is that a birdie de Brien birdie Pat doesn’t look like he’s expecting much break in it and there isn’t much oh go on oh what a super try excellent Touch won’t be disappointed with that P oh not at all second toughest hole on the golf course so far and it will be all weak hasn’t put a foot wrong has he to five with tans how good from Tim nice bounce back as well after the drop shot at the previous L caner at the par 5 night this is his third shot three on the par going along very nicely played well last week in Belgium some good signs of returning to his best form 11th hole and this is the leader the bruy little Ridge there just short of the flag just crawling over it there and that’s just taken a little Pace out of it but well played this is very doable he’s got a quite a bit of sand to cover for the distance helps him yeah played it brilliantly brilliantly oh my goodness me what an advent what a bogey I mean when he’s in the bunker there I’m thinking you know if he doesn’t get this right this is a triple bogy takes no you don’t have to do anything wrong to make a seven up ahead is the leader with another birdie chance and another one taken wow incredible four shot lead I I know what it is Tony nobody’s explained to him that this is a difficult Golf Course Marcel out with the putter as you can see right to left in this one bit of a swinger I fancy P he fancies it he fancies it and now he certainly fancies it live down at 12 the second ahead of De bruy playing so far today 4.44 second toughest hole on the course 12 let’s go to the 11th with lorri caner down the left at par five left hand flag as well oh he’s found it what a shot go in that’s a birdie for Lori caner so he’s out alone in second cesy of that excellent second what of the leader de bruy coming off a couple of is sideways this one and let it release down never quite high enough but got the pace good he needs that up and down that’s a really important but for him coming up just to settle himself here here just beautiful in from Nick backer [Applause] it’s gone and found one that’s just the third of the day to later second on the way 15 de bruy oh how good is that colarts down the path five second shot went into the water one of them did might have been the t-shot either way he’ll have that for a par which I think he might take three shot hole the 16th for him today and everyone 663 yards of it might have a chance for birdie though so we go to AI oh very nice way to end the day yeah beautifully done not the easiest T to to gauge just that ugly double bogey on 18 but he’s two over and this will get him to seven this gets him within the shot of Yanik de bruy the German should he make it and it’s a chance very nice second shot there with what looked like a one iron one or two players starting to carry these driving irons senson always look like a three didn’t it David how spot on once again but let’s get to our leader down the last he’s good hit long hitter going in with the iron here middle of the green don’t oh has he hit that properly there a big divot is it going to carry all the way yes now come on down oh he’s on that high side where we have seen nobody be able to stop it by the whole side so it’s a good shot it’s a fantastic day caner 16 Fresh Off back to back birdies begging it to get down and it listened with a little bit of spin to delightful shot all eyes on De bruy now what an awesome day what a start Yanik the bruyer maybe we’re seeing a new star who knows 24 years of age a round in 64 well any speed at all in it you could chip it off the green the other side and it’s just going to hang on that’s not bad in all honesty beautifully done you see the fist pump what it means to him not to finish bogey bogy Jack Davidson the Welshman flip it out land it just a yard on the green about there let it feed down he didn’t get the strike just a little heavy Davidson for the 30 nice excellent round of 68 for the Welshman gets himself alongside Lor caner in a tie for second place now here is the Frenchman Tom Von get to four under turn keep turn yes got it got it yep fabulous there you go he’s getting animated already there’s the he bounces around he’s like a pocket rocket
