and let’s say one time out end of the game I went to PA one time I go to ra one time what would y’all think when it wasn’t y’all so let me say this real I’m let me go first go ahead at no point did we ever Envy who shot it cuz we had the belief in all three of us as long as it was all three of us real probably po cuz po been there right yeah but we felt the we felt the uh responsibility to take the big shots and make the big decisions you know what I’m saying so if it came from p and I had you had to be ready if it came from me rate and that’s how I can honestly say we never or we never talked about having any issues with whoever I didn’t I remember do Drew up a play one time and I had no involvement in it you know I done made some game winners but he drew up the right play I Remember was in Philly I’ll never forget he drew a play for for for a lot for you remember and I wasn’t I was like over here or something and I was just like damn I’m not even in the play but it worked you know just like yeah but you know it was the most s action for me just to have those teammates when I used to see you make a game winner or or or the pressure wasn’t on me no more like when I see Ray hit it was just like for me to watch that my favorite play with Y all well there’s a couple of them um one was a la Pondo against Miami that was oh yeah one was we ran up I was at a EU gug yeah do made me the out of bells man that day I’m like I’m my taking off the Miami in Miami Miami yeah for the I’m I I can make free throws down the stretch I can make a shot but I’m taking the ball out remember the time I I said B can you make this pass like I can make the pass but you were thinking I need the ball right right and we also ran against Cleveland playoff game I was at AU Game and I think it was Austin’s or Jeremiah’s team in high school play oh I remember you called it high school we drew it up in practice we ran it and the score twice but we got in the timeout and you said let’s run High School right I was like no come on Coach Let’s Run High School there two times this happened I’m telling y’all now uh so I I I draw it up and I remember sitting on the bench and tips is what we draw off CU it ain’t going to work we we’re running a high school play I actually said it’s not going to work but they wanted to run it and sometimes as a coach you go with it po gets a he just walked into layup and then the other one was we scored on the three with Ray against Philadelphia the year before mhm and you all four y’all you round the ray y’ all said it we’re in the timeout and I drop another play and Ron says let’s draw let’s run the same play we ran against him last year I said we can’t run the same play that we ran against the team last year it’s not going to work and all y’all oh it’s going to work other times I came to the timeout and that time I was Sam remember Sam might have been coaching my I was literally like I walked to the HUD and T I said man this is the dumbest thing I’ve ever done as a a coach said what do you mean I said we running the same place it’s not going to work work and Ray was so when he was so wide open it’s funny how the the real story the media they think we’re y’all were celebrating but y’all were pointing at me what you told you what you told you and Y y’ was so happy to be right we so happy that work if it didn’t work man you know that’s the beauty like just like with Doc because like we can go into the timeout and he’ll listen to The Players yes and I and I think that I think that’s an involvement of a coach yeah you know what I’m saying because sometimes you know the coach gonna do everything but when he listen to us sometimes it’s just that’s what made the Rel y that came from y’all listening to me listen y’all let me coach y’all yeah so I had to if you allow a coach to coach you you’re going to give the player everything it days it be timeouts it be timeouts we going to the timeout and Ronda would dro the play remember that R he’d be like all right I got to play Doc and Ronda would drop a play and Doc player I did it with CP a little bit but Ronald was the only guy remember Ronald had my play sheet he’s the only guy I would do two play sheets and I would give Rona one before the game and it was amazing man that dude is the smartest best his brain you would come in the timeout and I’m like 52 twists he’s he’s already doing it with his mouth he knows what we’re running he was Brave he not only our plays but the other team plays you shocked he’s not in coaching he will be he will be yeah he’s just too smart now he ain’t gonna be the most patient coach cuz he’s too smart evolve I wasn’t when I first came in I was that’s what you learn in coaching is patience yeah and big picture yeah you got to stay on the big picture like you know the other night New Orleans get blown out you know that’s a game you say all right guys go to the restaurant go have a good time tonight in Vegas right I’ll see you tomorrow we work uh and then there’s times when you’re winning which yall would notice that’s when I was on mine I when we lost I was not off but we we start winning too much that’s when I got rough cuz I can feel y’all walking around with your shades on I’m like here we go we’re about to go to a bad place and that’s when I got on y’all you know so but y’all were great to coach love it I used to love when you actually gave us a chance we would come and Doc would sit right here he wouldn’t even say nothing and this all of us would be in the Uproar we’ be arguing conversating with whatever whatever whatever and then he be like done okay y’all finished y’all done okay cool this what we doing and that was to me that was that was that was the ice on cake because we had to be able to interact and deal and talk to each other he allowed that he allowed us to be us we didn’t have to be someone else and every guy in this and in this was himself I didn’t feel like I was getting another form of ta I thought that I was or another form of baby or another form of dog I felt like all of us was who we are and we were he allowed you to be yourself yeah though I remember one in IND Indiana oh yeah that was a rough that probably been the roughest night of all of us but that was you know what’s funny about what happened to Indiana we clenched The Game Stop man and you and uh Brandon Bass about to fight and then I’m I’m sitting there Kevin yelling at me you get involved you were get involved I was trying to I was trying to have the coaches stay out of it and we was trying to Res and then the the locker room just went up but I sat there and I waited and then Ray and Paul I mean Ray and Rond started getting into it all right but I got to do the media so y’all don’t even know this part that’s right I forgot so y’all arguing but I got to go out and do the media the media’s outside the door when I so you remember I left the room yeah I could hear you still fighting and arguing and I walk out to the media and I said listen to our guys we won this game we won the gamech we’re in there fighting and I walk out to the media and I said listen to our guys they celebrating I said that I said this is the most wonderful team you know we about to have like and they’re in there fighting at the time about to get it on it’s about to be the Royal Rumble here real so I actually said I’m not going to let you in right away I’m going to go back in and celebrate with the guys and I had to go back in and break up the fights and the media never found out no one ever found out which is great and it got squashed but you know those things that’s part of families it really is man i’ as a coach that’s what you miss I’ve had some crazy you got to write a book H I got to change the names I’m going to have to
