I’ve always known Vice for their golf balls and golf accessories but now they’re entering the golf club [Music] space in this video I’m going to be reviewing one of their wedges as well as two Putters that they sent me they are releasing irons and I’m going to release a second video doing a full review on those irons so if you want you can smash subscribe and you can see that video when it drops so who are these golf clubs for vice is saying that these are for the average golfer the everyday golf they want something affordable and looks cool I’m guessing that there’s probably not a ton of golf professionals lining up to play the new Vice lineup but if you’re an everyday golfer a weekend warrior these might be really good for you it’s kind of just like the balls this new lineup is called the wonderin series and vice is a German company they partnered with the biggest Club fitter and builder in Europe to make these clubs for you guys this wedge is the vgw o1 stands for vice golf wedge 01 probably because it’s the first time they’ve made wedges the head is three times forged and the face is milled what’s cool about the face is that it has grooves from Heel To Toe the entire face has grooves and it makes sense cuz if you look down at your wedge the face actually looks bigger I can imagine some high handicappers if they look at a wedge and there’s no grooves on the toe the club head looks smaller this way if you have a m hit if you it on the tore the heel you’re still going to get some spin so I see some advantages on having grooves across the whole face this wedge lineup comes in a 5056 and a 60 the stock shaft that you would get in one of these wedges is a vice shaft is made by True Temper they also have a graphite option which is made by Mitsubishi chemical but if you want you can fully customize these wedges so for me I put in my nipon modus Pro just because it’s the same shaft that I have in my Bui that I’m going to compare this to to test this wedge it’s going to be maybe like a three-part test so first I’m going to do full swing I want to understand the spin that I’m getting the carry the total I want to understand the data on my full swing I’m also going to do some like 3/4 or half swings just to get the data on that and then we’re going to take it to a green so I can chip and Pitch so let’s start with the full swing the first thing that’s going to take I’m getting used to is just the face with the full grooves I think tayor made made it a wedge like maybe their high toe wedge has grooves across the face Maybe Callaway has one too I’ve never a wedge like that so visually I’m just going to have to get used to that so with a 56 degree I’m usually around 115 yards the last one went 117 so that’s like right on the money spin for that one was 12,000 RPM spin I’m looking for around 11,000 but uh this might be a pretty spinny wedge there’s right the numbers that I told you 115 total 11,000 it dropped below 12,000 spin 11,900 let’s uh so far it actually feels really good the key to a good wedge is getting consistent spin we don’t want our spin going all over the map with a wedge so if I can consistently get around 11,000 12,000 spin that’s a really good wedge by the way these wedges 150 bucks there was a bit of a mish hit let’s see what this does so first real M hit I had a little bit of a flare spin still stayed up it felt like I hit it high and right on the face so maybe because that there’s milling and grooves all across the face it might have actually saved me there another flare spin stayed up though and still got pretty good distance okay last one that when I hit thin that’s going to happen but my spin for the first time dropped below 10,000 RPM and I I don’t think I even hit the face I hit it right on that Leading Edge that’s why it went 130 yards but I think it’s good to have some M hits just to understand the spin difference between when we hit it on the face or on the grooves versus that one that thin one through the back of the green I just realized that my vogi that I play is a 54 degree this is a 56 so it’s not really a fair comparison I do want to hit my vogi though just so I can tell you any differences that I might see or feel but the data wouldn’t really be a fair comparison holding the vice and my vogi visually like I almost can’t see the grooves on my vogi but with this Vice you know you can see them all the way to the top of the toe so they definitely look different side by side the vice actually has a thinner Top Line than the vogi the vogi is like a little bit thicker obviously different finishes but I think because the grooves go across the whole face of the vice the vice actually looks bigger even though I don’t think it is a lot of times when I hit different clubs back to back I can feel and hear major differences and I don’t really really hear or feel big differences between my Voki and the vice looking at the dispersion I’m actually really happy with that session especially never having hit that Vice before I had one get away from me I had one big pull that’s that big outlier that’s far and left but for the most part I was close to the line my normal shot shape is just a slight fade I had a lot of fade and a bunch near the line so overall from a dispersion standpoint I’m really happy with that Vice looking at the data I got rid of my one outlier I just didn’t want that to skew the data nine out of 10 Good Hits I’ll take that with a sandwich the spin that we were talking about was averaging about 11,600 RPM spin which is awesome if you struggle getting spin out of your wedges this Vice wedge could be a really really good option for you looking at the variance between my spin the difference is only about 1,300 so from a spin standpoint super happy with these Vice wedges something I haven’t mentioned yet is that you can fully customize the color pattern in these wedges the one that they sent to me all the fills are just black but you could fill it with lime green or blue or pink that you can add a personalized touch to these wedges I think that’s pretty cool so someone that reviews golf clubs basically for a living I can’t really tell you that this is going to fix all your problem with your wedge game but the data is there and if any of you guys are looking for new wedges you don’t have to just go online buy the most expensive wedge that you can find I think it’s a good option if you’re in the market for wedges so I would recommend you hit it all the data that I give is just based on my feedback it would be up to you guys to hit it test it and see if it performs well for you now I really just want to try some half and three4 shots let me just try a couple of those I do really like how it sets up it’s just the face I’m just not I don’t just don’t think I’m getting used to the face let’s try like a little low trap [Music] puncher still pretty good spin on that yeah even in just like those little small feel shots it does feel really good and it does set up good now I want to test out the chipping and pitching so I’ll see you at the green I’ve had a chance now to use this Vice wedge around the green and I’m happy the way it handles with my chips and pitches around the green I guess the only thing that I don’t really like is the finish this is like a pretty shiny silver finish and that’s just not my favorite finish I’d prefer like a copper or a raw finish looking at the grind on the wedge right on the sole of the club it looks pretty versatile so when I put the club down and it’s Square it sits quite nice but I can also open or close it and do a pretty big forward press and I find that this wedge has some pretty good heel and toe relief which is really exactly what you look for in a wedge I was pretty happy with my full swing data that I got and now that I’m able to play around it on the greens I am quite happy with it so I would say that this wedge is pretty good bang for your buck let me show you guys their Putters so this is the vgp 01 Vice golf putter 1 and the vgp O2 this is their blade Putter and mallet putter the vgp 01 comes in either this silver or you can also get it in black and like the wedge you can do a custom paint fill so this one is paint filled red but you could do lime green or blue or black or or whatever you want the vg1 has a forged head and then a maed finish on the Milling on the face you can see there’s a little V right in The Sweet Spot of the Putter and then there’s two different alignment AIDS there is an alignment line right in the center of the putter head and then right up top there’s a little Top Line which would be a little V so you have two aids to aim the ball this guy’s retailing for 270 bucks this guy the vgp O2 their Mallet has over 2,000 different customizable options right up here these little plates these silver plates you you can order in different colors you can also change the color of your sight line where it says Vice on the bottom at the very back of the Little Wings you can change that so there’s so many options that you can do to make this putter your own I know there’s other companies out there that you can customize your putter but it’s an upch charge this is all included in the purchase price which is 320 bucks there’s a handful of different grip options for you so the ones that Vice sent me on the vgp o1 is their Vice branded I think it’s a P2 grip this is more of like a pistol or a pistol tour if you’re used to like a super stroke and this one they sent me on the vg2 is the reflex core from P2 I personally hate this grip I wish that this grip was on the vg2 I’m just in feeling it I already know that I’m going to hate this I hate big grips but it’s an option for you guys that like the big grips okay so why don’t we roll these and I’ll tell you how they feel let’s start with the vgp 01 their blade putter what I like to do with Putters when I test them is find out where the tow hang is so you can see that there’s pretty considerable tow hang on this putter what to hang is going to do is going to help you with more of an arc putting stroke so if you typically come straight back back and straight through for your putting stroke this might not be the best putter for you another thing I wasn’t sure about was the sight dot on top that little V on all my Putters I’ve never had a sight dot or a sight line on the very top of the putter but looking at it when I go to set up I actually do quite like it so I think it actually is helping me aim let’s roll a couple putts and I’ll tell you how I think it feels it’s got a pretty firm feel one for one and I made the putt I’m going to have to buy this so far it feels pretty firm and I find that the head is pretty heavy I like this grip because it allows me to feel the weight in the head which is exactly what I want to feel in a putter I wouldn’t say it’s soft I know there’s a lot of Putters out there that have like inserts that kind of dampen the feel and feel much softer this is not that this feels relatively hard or firmer which isn’t necessarily good or bad it’s just not as soft as other Putters that I’ve rolled before big fan of the grip I really like this vice grip Vice just kind of has like cool graphics I find they’re a little bit more out there than like a traditional company and this grip says exactly that so big fan of this grip it rolls really well and it looks pretty good and I think it’s cool that you could customize this to kind of whatever colors that you want onto the vgp O2 their Mallet putter if I was to pick a putter just based on the looks between the two I’m picking this guy I think this thing looks awesome let’s check out the tow hang so considerably less tow hang it’s not quite face balance there’s still some tow hang but if you’re someone that has more more of a straight back straight through putting stroke this is probably the best bet for you I hate this grip this has the grip has nothing to do with the putter if I had the grip from that vgp 01 on here I might just put this in the bag and that’s just from a look standpoint I haven’t even rolled it yet let’s roll it and I’ll tell you uh what I feel very stable like super stable straight back straight through I find with a big fat grip I can’t feel the putter head and when I’m putting I want to feel what that is doing there’s people that are the complete opposite of me they don’t want to feel the putter head they’d rather feel the grip in their hands for me I don’t love it but I do really like looking at this thing it has that same sight dot or the same sight line the sight V on the top of the face and now this is a little bit different that there’s a v inside of a v so you can see the bigger V setting up to the smaller V but I think it looks really cool what I do like too about these weights these silver weights is that The Sweet Spot obviously is between the two of them and I find when I’m setting up and trying to make contact with the ball I’m focusing on trying to get that ball in between those two weights so it’s Unique in a putter that I haven’t seen a lot of this before feel wise it feels softer even though these are both miled faces I thought that they would feel the same I’m thinking they feel different just because of this grip I find that I have just less feedback on the face than the vgpl one you going to make one there we go so I made one with both overall I think both Putters feel really good but if I was to choose one I’m probably choosing the vgp O2 both these Putters come with a really nice black leather head cover I’m super impressed with the quality of both those head covers in wrapping up I’m a little surprised that I like the vice golf clubs like I’ve used their balls before and I know that they’re a pretty decent ball so I don’t know why I would have expected anything less out of their clubs with the wedge got great performance with the putters they had great feel and I thought they looked pretty good if you do want to pick any of these up I’ll put a link in the description of this video and if you want to see my review on vice’s irons make sure you subscribe so you can see that video thanks again for watching checking with you guys next time [Music] [Music]
