One week after the 2024 PGA Championship, the DP World Tour heads to Belgium this week for the Soudal Open at Rinkven International. Team Europe Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald will be in the field this week. He played all four rounds at the PGA Championship last weekend and finished well to make two-under par. Donald will be looking for his first top-10 this year having claimed 20T at the Dubai Invitational in January. Simon Forsström returns this week to defend his title. It was a rookie victory for the Swede last year who then recorded three top tens over the first five months. He is also looking for his first top-10 of the season after claiming a season high 21T at the Hero Indian Open in March. Adrian Otaegui will also be teeing it up in Belgium. He played 36 holes last week at the PGA Championship but was unable to progress to the weekend. The Spaniard will hope to find the same form which claimed him victory at the China Open three weeks ago.

to that with some of the movers early doors in this Final Round And we begin with Belgium’s own Thomas Peters just great to see him here at ringland International look at that for a golf [Applause] shot5 yards of green available behind it so he wants to pitch it past and screw it back he’s not got much room but he didn’t need it did it what a quality shot that was from the leader four ahead important to get off to a fast start well it is the perfect [Applause] [Music] start oh that’s a wonderful shot from rain long gas receptive greens coming in from this little distance he will create some spin needs to fly it all the way up there all beyond the pin and has done so he’s taking the big crowds today this is two part all day long I move on here at bad t- shot make you five 44t 1 in in you go oh that is what he needed desperately I knew that would happen Thomas Peters could do with a birdie get to 15 under to close the gap up the hill left to right at the end in you go hello there’s always going to be a birdie wasn’t it after that te- shot he did get a break he thought it was going to be deep in the woods 155 yards to go yeah this would play at least 15 if not 20 more than the yardage suggest it’s a fine shot it’s going to have another another side chance for par Al just 91 yards for Joe Dean into the eighth oh I’m a fan of this guy I’m officially a fan of him it was a beautiful wedge it’s a very easy birdie and Jo Dean moves out of the group at 15 under pass so he is just two shots behind his playing partner nacho El Vera a reminder front flag today just six yards on oh when he’s found it very good indeed this looks good for line and for Pace what a birdie from Joe Dean who moves to within one of the lead here in [Applause] Belgium we’ll be hoping to shoot four under from here in put some real pressure on that’s a great start looking maybe just right of this oh that’s well played gives himself a great opportunity he should have the line here not too much break on this there you go great birdie little fist pump back in control Matthew Jordan From the Rough 18 flagged behind the bunker you can see in front of him oh and that was obviously sat down extremely deep for him to have to gouge at it like that but what a job he’s made of it absolutely [Applause] fantastic great stroke great finish Matthew Jordan certainly one to watch if I was the Spaniard got it well done Joe what a break beautifully done from Thomas Peters guarantees the [Applause] birdie done so the Spaniard moves it to 16 underp langas for a bie that that he really needs oh that was beautifully struck really was his ping really does look like it’s starting to come round beautifully done topples in the front of the hole and it is an eagle for norgard having birded the 16th and he is within one of el Vera with one hole to go in regulation just makes the car it’s a round of 66 so in at 17 under and he’s asked the question of el L gas for a bir then at 18 take him to 17 under into a potential playoff if the leader was to Bogi and he’s done it too fabulous from G finishes birdie birdie for R of 68 don’t be flirting with that bunker cuz bunker shots Under Pressure we know difficult he said go he’s saying go he’s hit it heavy oh no I don’t know what he was panicking about there telling it to fly that’s just pure adrenaline isn’t it but Canen he asked the question that’s a chance isn’t it to be how did that stay out of the hole good Heavens what a great part in the circumstances couldn’t see it missing a foot short it was always going to go in the left half but it looked as though it was going to go it is a par it’s a closing 71 that’s level power for the day will it be enough for nacho El Vera this to match El here up and to take the sudal open into a playoff not to be and it’s good number two for Spain’s nacho ala car at the last and it is his best finish on the DD World Tour for Nicholas norgard finishes alongside Thomas Peters and Roman longas in a share of second place but it’s man St little brother Manuel instead under blue skies here at ringen International N Al Vera win number two on the DP World Tour here in Belgium he’s got so much support here it’s incredible tell us how you feeling W such a relief uh it’s been tough cuz uh my two iron crack uh on the warm up and I I needed it a little bit today but uh um to be honest I was quite nervous cuz I wasn’t hitting off the te quite well uh and it was all hard the last few Halls it was all hard cuz I I knew I knew I had a couple driving holes that I’m I wasn’t comfortable with and H that chip on on 17 was was key I think yeah we had that suspension in play due to the Rain what was your state of mind there then you still had the lead at that point uh to be honest I was I was trying to to be to not get wet uh it was it was pouring down it’s true that we we waited for at least 30 minutes but um you know the congratulations to the to the team to the European team CU they did a fantastic job you know where they they kept us on on the course knowing that it will pass and it it it shall did had a four shot lead at the start of the day that dwindled slightly you had the joint lead at one point tell us what those nerves were like especially on that back nine coming home I mean it when you’re hitting it good everything seems easy when you know hit it as good everything seems very complicated and uh I told my cat I mean I know for some reason I wasn’t feeling it today obviously maybe a mix of of emotions and it was it was all hard try to keep it in play I knew my wtes and my ping was on point uh but you know of the tea I was struggling and uh I was trying to keep it in play somehow and and and he paid off how special as well your brother Manuel just over there and so many other players here are here to support you for your second win how special is that it is it is special you know and um you know especially you you you work hard and uh I tried to teach him like this game doesn’t pay off quickly so you need to be patient so hopefully he’ll learn something of this and and and keep pushing you know what Nao for the first time this week I think you coming today too you’ve bought some Spanish Sunshine as well to we’ve not seen any many congratulations go and enjoy the celebration thanks thank you very much I did not think level par would be good enough to to to steal this title to get it done for natur El but it is in the end well done to him brilliant week for him to watch another DP world to video click here and to subscribe click
