It is not a big reaction. it is just another ben shelton reaction.
just a general comment for all those who go over-the-top about shelton's form of on-court expression. since when, as a fan base, have we become so intolerant? especially of players different from ourselves? let him figure it out. he is growing and our failure to accept should in no way affect his sense of belonging, worth or competency as a player or person.

This match was so good. Took Benjamina a set to acclimate to the conditions & a new opponent, but once his 1st serve finally started firing early in the 2nd set when he saved break points, you knew he had found his rhythm. Where Fritz faltered, Belton remained undeterred & made his two breaks count. Played the deciding TB like a boss. 12 aces, 43 winners, & more points won at net. The courts are slow & high bouncing, so serve percentages aren't amazing from either player. Shelty gave two good post-match interviews on court and with 2nd Serve.
Shelton won this match but Muster is better on clay.

Watching Shelton's matches is like a mental confidence rollercoaster. When he is feeling it, all the crazy low-percentage power shots go in and his service games are unassailable, but then he loses confidence and can't make a service return to save his life and goes 0-40 in the service games. Very entertaining, but also very unpredictable! In his return games, he should really try out the Federer sneak-attack on the second serves that João Fonseca was executing so well in Rio. Ben may be a bit too tall for it, but he has excellent instincts when volleying, so it could help unbalance the opponent and keep them guessing.
