watch out cuz Aaron Rogers is back and all in a healthy Rogers is unrestricted in practice as he gets set to take the AFC East by storm the Jets open their season on Monday night at San Francisco Real Deal Rogers is embracing all the pressure why do you say there’s pressure on you well I think if uh if I don’t do what I know I’m capable of doing we’re all probably going to be out of here so I like that kind of pressure though it’s great to have Kimberly a Martin back in studio glowing we actually gave you a couple days off you were allowed to take you allowed to take vacation and travel not to one of your usual cities Cleveland Baltimore Pittsburgh we we let you we let you go to a different area code all right great to have you with us and you know where we are we didn’t skip a beat Kimberly what is the jet ceiling this season oh I don’t think there’s any question it is super bowl or bust I don’t care about Rogers being 41 years old I don’t care about this offensive line having injury questions the turf at MetLife Stadium the Jets brought him in for one reason and one reason only to win them a Super Bowl they they went all in brought guys that he knew from Green Bay and brought in Nathaniel Hackett if they don’t come out of the Aaron Rogers experience with a Super Bowl appearance and win what was the point of all this doggy well I think they got two years will do it because I think Rogers will play another year I’m expecting him to play well but it is off franchise what is it 13 14 years since they’ve been in the playoffs I think it’s 13 14 years 2010 all right so 14 years but haven’t been in the playoffs so if you ask a Jet fan right now okay we get you 12 and five make the playoffs and win a couple of games and lose a heartbreaker and Arrowhead to Mahomes it’s a successful season because when you haven’t had any success now the Ravens have to win a Super Bowl they’ve been down this path before it’s about time the Ravens win something yeah the Jets who haven’t done anything in such a long period of time and had the terrible injury with Rogers last year if you to a Jet fan right now hey your year is going to end up with a championship game loss to Kansas City they’d have to sign up for that so I think it’s a little strong to put him in that Super Bowl or bus category I’ll go one step earlier than that I say win a couple of playoff games and then if they lose to Kansas City so be it Kim I mean Stephen A before you jump in I have two questions for you obviously I want to know what the jet ceiling this season is but I also want to know how your boy Jeff Brown’s feeling right now your best friend big jets fan how he’s feeling about um um you know hello kibble how are you long time no see uh I know that you’ve had a wonderful vacation clearly uh we’ll talk about that another day I will tell you this about my boy Jeff Brown uh Jeff Brown he’s he’s my boy doggy loves you to death he grew up in Queen New York um listening grew up listening to you and what have you doggy this brother has been gone from New York for 30 years he’s been back to New York five times he’s like why would I come there everybody wants to come here why would I need to go there this is where it’s at talking about this WEA out here and you know I’m I’m I’m The Godfather to his his children uh uh Nicholas and Nicole uh two people I’m very proud of let me tell you something right now I often lament the fact that he has contam ated them because they are huge Mets and jets fans I don’t know what’s wrong with them uh their father has contaminated them and right now once again he’s he’s know he’s the equivalent of a Dallas Cowboy fan you know we we we we we we might win the Super Bowl we might win the Super Bowl Steve I’m telling we might do we might do it it’s nonsense the de the New York listen Aaron roders won the Super Bowl in 2010 that’s the last time the Jets win the playoffs it’s been a while it’s been a while so Kimberly when you bring up this ceiling and all this other stuff I’m going to respectfully disagree with you you know what babies have to crawl before they walk you understand saying could you could you make the playoffs could you show that you’re relevant could you show that you can compete and and and be clear I don’t give a damn how good the Jets are there’s not going to be any shame in anybody’s mind if the Jets fell to Patrick Mahomes because you understand who that dude is now if you Aaron roders nobody wants to hear you losing to anybody else including Lamar Jackson including Joe burrow but Patrick momes now if you end up running into that brother and he takes you out ain’t GNA be no shame in that so that’s way I say you know with jet steeling postseason and assuming they don’t run into Kansas City your point is valid but if you gonna go to the Super Bowl chances are you gonna have to go through Kansas City here here’s why I say Stephen madg this is why both of you are wrong because Mad Dog you say they’ve got two years right right what were we saying about the Jets last year a lot of us thought this team with Aaron Rogers can win a Super Bowl now you run it back now ah well he’s going to be 41 ah he’s coming off the injury if they don’t win a Super Bowl this year you think they’re winning it next year cuz you will here with me and say yes he will he’s 42 he’s 40 he’s going to be 43 like the two years removed from an Achilles that’s why this this year is so critical because last year was supposed to be the year and he got four plays into the season this is football this is football here today going tomorrow they could they could they could be average this year they could win it all next year I disagree with that we don’t even know if they’re going to win thec we’ll see what happens it’s their first season there we’ll see what happens by the way doggy you should be very very proud of Kimberly for once her fingernails match with her outfit oh my gosh wow I knew this was going to happen I know know we have to hit the top of the hour but can I just say something really quickly before we go to break are we even sure that they can win win the AFC East no we’re not I think they can I think they we’re not even sure that’s not even a lot paper like let’s take like talk about your baby steps come on just saying what have you seen what Buffalo’s done this offseason see all the changes they’re making Miami as much as much as we love Miami we know when they step away from Miami uhh they’re allergic to Prosperity all we got to go they custom to that weather in South Beach so I think the Jets I think the Jets going to win the AFC EAS this year of Aaron Rogers [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music]
