welcome back to onbase live in your bleach Report app I am with my homeboy Tyler glass now what up thanks for having me dude you uh you’ve been good I’ve been good yeah get in a little the time change sucks a little bit but it’s not bad yeah tell me about like the first when you get here does it take you a while to go to sleep yeah I always suck at sleeping in season I think like it depends on the day especially if I pitch like I can’t sleep at all I feel like like I feel like when I got in and you know with the LA time change it takes me I’m like up till 3:00 and it and I’m like the next day I’m waking up at 12:00 and my time is all off and it takes you a little did take you a little while yeah yeah last night yeah yesterday I woke up at like 12:30 the bus was at like what 12:30 oh my God so I had to get up and get going but couple days I get used to it it’s not terrible and like I don’t have to play every day like you so for me it’s like whatever I got to pitch once week so it’s like if I’m tired whatever it doesn’t matter all right bro so as you know the the the show is uh is on base but we play a game called on base off base so I got some year the inner year out I got a couple for you having a home plate at the front door as a welcome mat are you on base or off base on that personally I’m probably off base cuz it’s like I too much baseball already like I’m going to go home I’m trying to separate trying to get that out of my mind but I do like the idea I think if it’s like uh if if you really so you I mean I’m probably I’m one base on the on the idea of it I mean I see where they’re going with it yeah I don’t want to speak negatively on it you know I feel like you go ahead and go you know goe and get you a mat yeah why not I think for me personally just it’s like the work life separation but I think if yeah like a just if you’re not playing baseball professionally maybe yeah with you as as me personally know I’m I’m off so okay next thing the the the battle the the beef with Drake and Kendrick yes it’s over with I guess I don’t know what did so the last song Kendrick came out with was crazy and then Drake came out with something then no one really talked about it right I don’t even know that’s what I I remember looking into it the other day and it was something on like I found it on like YouTube I don’t know if it’s real or not but it came with something it was it was pretty much over yeah I mean a lot of people have said you know it’s really over yeah kind of it seems that way I don’t know I I don’t I don’t really get get into it a whole lot but I just know not like us is like everybody’s that’s what I mean I mean Gavin’s walk out it’s like number one on everything so I don’t I don’t know and I wonder too if that’s number one with like paid streams or if that’s a natural number one and it seems to be like a natural number one it seems like a natural number one which means he had to have won yeah it seems to be that way I think if we had to come up with a verdict I think Kendrick probably took this one okay okay all right all right so the best way to ask someone to go to prom is through like a professional athlete or you get uh you get someone to do it like a gender reveal type thing but going to prom do you think that’s the best way I think that’s pretty if you can get a pro athlete to do it I’m on base with that I think did you see I think uh Bryce did it I didn’t see what it was but it was oh he came with him actually that’s neat damn that’s neat that’s crazy she had to if she said no yeah for real oh my gosh this guy went all out she had to say yes though that’s how did he recruit Bryce Harper to do this I don’t know I got to figure out how you got how Bryce got had to be like a mutual friend or something it couldn’t have just been like a DM request but I don’t know would you do something cool would you not cool but I would you do something I would do something like this I think if I like maybe like kind of knew the kid or like some you know what I mean I would just be like hey random dude but like I’m sure I would I would yeah for sure it’s a good idea glass will do it just nice a little bit all right he’s a nice guy okay so and the last one I mean I know you’ve been asked or or mentioned somebody’s mentioned this to you a million times but you could you could be Killian Murphy’s stunt double yeah we have a little bit of difference like the height wise I think he’s a little shorter but I do see similarities I guess like within the face before all ities I do see similarities you don’t see the identical I mean I think see that I don’t even oh no this is no that one is real uh I do see some similarities some similarities like I see 95% of that is the same bro yeah my family would always tell me about that too we definitely do look alike it’s kind of crazy yeah so I I know he’s played in played in a lot of movies and he he he’s done a lot of things have you ever met him talked to him no never I know that was like a interview with him after Oppenheimer whatever ever and they mention like you know there’s like a baseball player that looks like you and he goes yeah a couple people sent me that but I’ve never met him or anything I also think he’s pretty like lowkey I think he just goes home and chills he’s like a super famous movie star but he’s just like I’m not trying to do all that I’m sure if you reached out and say hey big bro or dad or whatever Dad if if you if you said I want you to come to a game you you should do that one day I think I’m going to wait I’m going to keep it organic maybe maybe we’ll just randomly see each other one day or somehow but maybe however you want to do it I threw okay so I want to get to uh to you and Meg bro like I think it was while you were pitching it was going on on the broadcast and I didn’t get to hear yeah yeah like how you guys met take me through the story please so I was in I was rehabbing in Tampa so like clearly kind of watching the game kind of looking in the stands doing like a normal rehab routine um and I was sitting next to Brett Phillips and our camera guy was next to us and she was was sitting like close front few rows and I was like she kind of looks cute and I asked will this is really creepy but I was like will take your crazy camera and zoom in on this girl I just want to see if she’s cute or not and then he zoomed in and I thought she was cute so I wrote my number on a ball and I gave it to a bat boy the bat boy ran it over to her gave it to her and apparently she had like a family friend who had two tickets that couldn’t go to the game so she was going to both games that like the next day as well and so she didn’t text me or anything and then came back the next day wrote her number on a ball and like came up behind The Dugout and like threw it at me and it was like you text me I’m not going to text you and I was like oh that’s kind of nice so I didn’t think like too much of it I was like this is going to be funny like we’ll just whatever we’ll hang out once and then we went to like dinner I forgot where we went the first time we went to dinner and I was like sold the first time I met her she’s the coolest like most normal we ordered appetizer and she didn’t she just like went in there she didn’t care it all had no like the most yeah she’s like very genuine wasn’t like nervous or weird or anything she didn’t care at all I was like well I just want to keep hanging out with this girl and then we’ve been hanging out and now we’ve been dating for like two-ish years two plus years that’s super cool it a good story I’m glad we met like that too yeah that’s a great story you like you said organic you like it organic it is it’s organic get no more organic to that okay so then you were say as you mentioned you were in Tampa and then you get traded here how did you feel when you got traded again like cuz you were in Tamp and it seemed like you were going to be a ray for life I did not think so I thought it would have been sick like hypothetically it’s a great but I just know the market size and like what was happening as far as like contract negotiations like I knew I wasn’t going to be there for a while and the last few years I was there there was always rumors about me getting traded so I had already decided in my brain like I’m not going to be here very long like it didn’t really change or like the way I acted or did anything but I kind of knew for a while like my time here is limited so so but then you got traded here which is you you’re from out here yeah exactly I was stoked like I kind of heard beforehand too our GM was like filling me in the rais GM was filling me in about like who was interested and I was like oh the Dodgers are interested and I know that their trade package was like better than most uh so I really wanted to come here and then I think it was contingent off of me signing the extension so I was very willing to like work on that and when I got traded here it was it was awesome did uh like so I heard that there was like a show this show send you like a video to to to what what are he saying this I woke up one day and it was he was like Hey like basically it’s such a long time ago I forgot it essentially was I hope you like signed with the Dodgers and I want to hit a lot of home runs for you and the team and stuff like that and he’s been doing it it’s been great he’s been doing a great job but it was awesome just for like I think the whole mentality of I I think at that point in my career and now it’s like the most important thing to me is winning and I think him being on the team and making a video to try to get more players to in and take the Deferred money it was like I if the goal is winning this is the team to win on this is the team and I it was a no-brainer for me I you know I’m genuinely excited when he pitches oh yeah I can’t wait this would be awesome I’m genuinely excited because I I think it’s going it’s G to be a national holiday the first day he pitches he’s already got one in La he’s might have two now it’s crazy I know he’s going have another one he’s n when he I mean so tell uh tell me about that a little bit having had the surgery and and going through the rehab and all those type of things like what does he have to and what I guess you all kind of be on the same yeah uh uh timeline so what what is that timeline kind of like what is he going through right now while he’s doing all this stuff hitting I think probably is helpful could either be helpful or annoying to like at least he’s playing while he’s rehabbing I think sometimes it gets annoying when you’re rehabbing and you have nothing else to do all day you go to the field you rehab and then you just sit at home all day and like have nothing else to do I think that’s when it can get a little tedious but it probably helps too that he’s doing really well you know it like makes the off days of pitching a little harder or not as hard um but it’s just it’s like an up and down thing it’s like anything I think you take so much time off of throwing and you get back into throwing and the days you don’t really feel perfect the days you you’re like I don’t know what’s going on and there’s a lot of those days it can get a little frustrating and I think there’s always when you wake up there’s always pain you throw your arm is like oh it’s fine you wake up the next day and it feels like it’s going to fall off so it’s just a whole lot of like keeping yourself in check and balance of like I’m going to not feel perfect all the time it’s perfectly okay I have a lot of time to get it back and he’s such a freak athlete and takes such good care of himself he’ll have no problem coming back and it’ll all kind of work itself out I can’t wait that’s that’s going be awesome tell me about that do you think do you do you think that the pitch clock or I know I know it’s going around the pitch clock as is the reason why injuries have gone up on the pitcher side I think it’s probably a multitude of stuff it’s like the pitch clock everyone tries to throw a billion all the time everybody try to throw hard I think if you look at injury Trends too from when what did like the vlo spike Happ I like 14 15 I think like it’s probably pretty consistent with injuries from mentality of throwing hard all the time I don’t know I’ve never looked at it I think there’s it’s a bunch of different reasons I think the pitch clock sometimes you do have to throw before you’re ready I don’t I don’t I’m not like a scientist I don’t know if that is leading to it but there are some times when you’re like trying to force I’ll come set or I’ll get my sign and I see there’s two seconds left I’m like oh I got to go or like I go and cover first and then come back and like you don’t have as much time to chill especially later in a game like six seventh inning when you’re a little bit like you kind of need a little bit more time like you just kind of have to keep it going and I I like the pitch clock as far as game time and shortening it and stuff and like sitting there having to watch like a 4our game is a little annoying but like I think uh I it could add to it but I don’t really know there’s a lot of people there’s a lot of speculation but I I I don’t know so do you think that guys um maybe an idea is like learning how to pitch more and not just throwing it but how what’s the balance though because if you start learning how to pitch more now you take take a guy throwing 98 now it’s you know 94 I think it’s just trying to find that’s the thing it’s like everyone talks about you your whole career you spent time trying to figure out how to succeed in this league and it’s not as easy just being like all right you throw 95 98 let’s tone it down a little bit and learn how to pitch it’s like I can’t you can’t just do that within a you know what I mean like a season there’s obviously I think the trajectory for me anyway was I used to throw n like my average V was like 97 something now it’s probably 96 low 96 so I think the Natural Evolution of a picture is kind of now stuff first then learn how to pitch and realize you don’t maybe need to use V all the time but it isn’t one of those expedited things you kind of have to learn in your own natural pace um but over time and the experience allows people to understand how to pitch and that’s different for everyone everyone’s got a different idea of how to pitch but it’s clear too you don’t need to have 98 to succeed in this league like look at all the dudes right now like Suarez and what’s the guy on the I always say his name wrong the guy who’s got like a point eight yard oh imanaga imanaga yeah you don’t need to throw a billion like you just got to find your successful thing and mine happens to be kind of throwing hard and I’m tall like it works yeah cuz I mean yeah this year you’re obviously you’re leading leading strike guys you’re pitching great which I love it because you’ll come in I I ask you how’d you feel and you’re like ah whatever and then you go go go seven Innings 12 punch outs you know that’s that that makes me appreciate you dog yeah I I I think a lot of times too that’s another like how you feel doesn’t always dictate how you perform and there’ll be games where I’m like I feel insanely good and I’ll give up five runs like it doesn’t I feel like there has to be some sort of Separation but I think in the in like the start start to start there’s always like phases it’s like a hitter I’m sure like sometimes you feel good you do all right sometimes you feel bad you like it’s just it’s a it’s a wave you got to ride all year long so and then and then just like a hitter like so I get nervous before every game like you know right before the be game there there’s right after I th I play catch and then I come in to the Dugout give everybody you know I give everybody the five whatever that’s when I’m like my my I’m getting nervous like all right the first one’s coming you know what I’m saying whatever like you get nervous yeah absolutely every start I don’t I hope I never stop getting nervous I don’t want to not like cuz I think that’s just your body and adrenaline and you’re perceiving it however that is but it’s also it’s like a performance enhancer but I think early on in my career it was a performance not it was like a dehancer to were you trying to you trying to act hard or something no I just was like these feelings I don’t like being nervous so let’s try to fight and get rid of this feeling when now it’s like no this is good like I just kind of just embrace it like being nervous is having adrenaline and and just like I said before like some of the games where I’m the most nervous I do the best so there’s no actual it doesn’t dictate how you perform being nervous is just a feeling it’s just a thing it’s fake but it’s real you know so it’s however you you are with that feeling is kind of how you do but it’s it’s funny you said that too because I remember Miggy saying that the other day too I always assumed pitchers where always get nervous but I never even thought position because you play every day I thought it would just be like this oh no but I appreciate that it’s good to know like position players are the same way may you talking about it a lot of dudes were it’s just I just how the game is it’s the thing I think means we love it you know exactly you care about it right so what a lot of people don’t know or maybe they do know who knows we got drafted together in 2011 and I feel like our draft class and I’m sure everybody can say this I feel like our draft class was was probably one of the best draft classes ever I always say that yeah but then everyone like it’s funny you say that too cuz the dude next to me on a bench be like I don’t know you look at 2010 or you look at 12 you 13 it’s all you can always find a bunch of studs but we had some really good people on our really dudes and I I didn’t know this you got drafted in the fifth round too MH how how did you find out like what what happened I was sleeping because I was on the west coast and it was like 11: I was so I was I was growing 11 at a.m. like early in the morning I guess but then we it was off SE or whatever yeah it was uh my mom came in and woke me up and was like you just got drafted first pick of the fifth round and I was like nice cool and you didn’t care I was of course I was St but but you were I just wasn’t like I cared a lot I just wanted to I think I wanted to sleep more than I wanted to know and then she told me and it was awesome and it was crazy I remember going to shower and it’s like a very vivid memory in my brain just being like wow I can’t believe I just got drafted and then there was also the choice of I didn’t know if I was going to go pro or go to college so it was until I decided it didn’t really hit yet right exactly yeah I know what you mean and then and then in 2017 you you know you go through the miners H H how how was the minor cuz I’ll get to 2017 how how was the minor like did you I loved it I I also loved it cuz I shoved like I didn’t you know what I mean I think a lot of times people talk about like oh did you like that City and I’m like I had a goody all right city was fine like you know what I mean you know I was just so consumed with doing well and getting to the big leagues that I always did relatively well in the minor leagues and I I was 17 years old when I got drafted so I didn’t know anything else I think if I went to college and experien some sort of like a lot of fans and the cool atmosphere and parties or whatever College was I might have gone into pro ball being like this sucks but I came like 17 years old I’m sharing a room with like four Dudes I’m like this is great I played baseball I didn’t care at all like yeah and so and so what what was the best city that that you enjoyed the most all the tripa cities were sick like Indianapolis was really cool you get to go to Durham and then you get to go to Charlotte a lot of the and then some of the small towns too were fun when you’re in like your first Sally League short season some of the going to like even quote unquote like crappy towns was fun cuz you’re with your friends and you’re like going out after games you didn’t know any yeah I was just like this is fun I’m on my own like I didn’t my I don’t have a curfew I don’t you know what I mean like I don’t have any parents with me it was fun like it was just a different time so then as and then I the first time I found out who you were I think you know we we were in Greenville I believe yeah yeah and you get up there and I think this may have been the first time I had seen anybody throw in May maybe a couple other times throwing you know 98 to 100 oh I didn’t even know I was throwing that hard then okay yeah you were throwing hard so yeah some games I’d throw hard then I’d throw slow and it was a whole we were this game you were throwing hard and that’s when I found out like who is this dude and they’re like d a glass now glass now glass now and I’m like man you know so that the name got like etched in my head and so I remember going into the the Sal League allstar game meeting you guys and uh and then playing you in the big leagues that’s when you didn’t throw hard no yeah that’s when I facing you didn’t throw hard I’m like ah this ain’t the same ipped out when I first got the big yeah I remember the first time I met you too it was Lo we’d always like heard about you guys like who was good on the team everyone kind of knows and then the first two or three weeks you were the worst player in the world and then after that three weeks I think you didn’t you hit like 5,000 the rest of it was insane you struggled for a little that’s what I about to quit yeah you were just over it or something but I remember and then we I remember you had like no no average and then you came back to us maybe two months later before you got moved up and you were leading the league in like everything I think average and everything I was like what happened yeah I don’t know I don’t know what happened yeah it was crazy so and then in 2017 I heard uh there’s this there’s this thing I guess you weren’t pitching great and he went skydiving yeah usually uh people like sacrifice something okay and not themselves you know what I’m saying it’s something else what do you mean like a goat what are you talking about yeah that’s something why would you do that to to I was I just needed a switch up in my brain I was so like consumed in my daily routine of like I hope I play good and then I would play like [ __ ] and then I hope I I just was so consumed in baseball I was like I got to shake things up a little bit like so you sh everything I shook it all up dude I remember being on the flight going to Miami and being like [ __ ] I’m just gonna I booked it on the flight I just needed to do something like I needed like an adrenaline something like I don’t know what it was but there’s so many things in between no doubt regular day and I don’t know I wasn’t a good idea I just was like why not let’s just do this and I did it it kind of worked not really but it was fine did you you go you went with some I just went alone I was like I’m not going to ask anyone to go Sky I was like I got to shake it up I I was in like a mental rut and I was like what would really shake things up jumping out of a plane and so it you didn’t run this by any anybody else no maybe by who no so somebody somebody had to okay this no I just was like I’m I’m doing this we had a like a late game the next day and I saw there was an opening at like 800 a.m. and I was like money let’s do it I just took an Uber there and then I did it and I knew it was relatively safe it was like a tandem jump I wasn’t just out there jumping alone I’ve always wanted to do it probably not the best timing but I remember going to the field that day feeling pretty good I still sucked that year but maybe it helped later it wasn’t even worth it I mean it was fun I still remember it but yeah maybe not performance wise doing it again just for enjoyment maybe after baseball I think especially now like I’m it’s maybe too much it’s but I think I I definitely want to do it again but maybe when baseball’s over I wonder like if you do a tandem jump is it is this guy going to be like five six five seven he he was pretty small dude but he I could tell he knew what he was doing it was some Russian guy he’s a i Skydive all the time and he he was good he didn’t fumble The Landing everything was good yeah good for him yeah so and then last season on the show I had Aaron judge MH and he said the pitcher he hates facing the most is you so now I want to ask you who is the hitter or the couple hitters that you just absolutely hate facing I always hate to go to Boston and facing you and Xander for sure that was always not fun um something about too like I got random ones too uh that’s what how it usually is it usually is I feel like I remember moment give you time to think I give you time to think so for some reason and I know he is spoke spoken on this I have no idea why when we Face Logan web I have no Logan I truly have no idea bro I’ve seen this too yeah I have no idea why I just get hits you know you just have a guy that’s how it is you just have a guy yeah and I’m not even saying he’s my guy I’m just saying like I have no idea bro you got good career stats off I have good stats and I apologize but I do enjoy when you pitch bro I do there it is there it is nice sorry so I want to hear uh I think historically I’d have to look like I feel like the ones I remember the most it was always against like the Blue Jays or something I’d always just give up a bunch of runs like on some like a big double Rowdy toes like randomly would always do pretty well against me I think like memorable ones where like I feel like I threw a relatively good pitch and then it like two or three runs or something but that I’m trying to think probably like him or you know that’s that’s good to uh that that’s that’s cool when you don’t have anybody you you don’t care who’s P like we all have someone in specific like yeah for some and then my guy that I could not hit could not hit Marco Gonzalez really I have no idea why that’s weird yeah man he 88 89 just carving you up see vo doesn’t matter you don’t need the V you got to carve people up carving when he faced when I faced him I knew I was going 0 for four I knew it he bob weave he weave when I bobbed it was like he man that’s impressive it’s it’s it’s weird so you’re 68 and your family is athletes as well right yeah Mom brother dad did like swimming and like water poloo and stuff but it’s supped my mom and brother like do y’all have like family reunions where y’all play like sports and stuff against each other kind of my uncle’s a really good athlete as well so we play like basketball and like normal stuff stuff like that um me my brother Uncle mom yeah play basketball whatever cornhole anything that was like competitive we mess around play stuff and and and um who would who would you say is the best athlete of the family depends on like what specific stuff like everything you got one guy or girl me or my brother I’d say or you or your brother nice it’s hard to we were always so even in every sport we did like track and field we’d PR the same age at the exact same thing crazy okay what did you run I did like 100 200 high jump long jump and shot put but my main thing was high jump that was like what I was good at and then I stopped early on cuz baseball and not many opportunities in in track so tell me that is that why your ankle is kind of no that’s from Rolling it like a bunch of times from double A I slid into we had the I forgot what game it was but double A I was trying to break up a double play yeah trying it was very like yeah I got to help the team I got to break up a dou play and I just destroyed my ankle speaking of I see you with your ankle and I see you working out and you have a tattoo there oh yeah what what what what is this uh all of my tattoos are just dumb stupid things that remind me of something dumb or stupid or fun in my life so I’ve been told you have a lip tattoo mm can can we see yeah what does it say no juice what does no juice mean it’s uh it’s like the little booy song it just is like it reminds me of early early pro ball yeah yeah yeah and I was like I’m [ __ ] goofy like this is perfect I got no juice it’s like a kind of like like self-deprecating a little bit like that’s all my tattoos are just dumb stupid like did it hurt no none of them really hurt I got it done in New York all the other ones I got done New York some in Mexico none of them really hurt and I always was told it was going to hurt Mexico so you some in Mex you you’re from La yeah where they got all the artists in the world yeah well I I didn’t clearly I didn’t go into it being like I need to get a masterpiece of a tattoo it was more about like all right I’m on a like a trip with my friends in Mexico and like to commemorate this like let’s just get some dumbass tattoo like kind of something like that and did it did all any of them get um infected no nothing like that just put some stuff on it nothing ever like yeah healed pretty quick none of them really even some of the early ones are like Oh They’ll fade haven’t faded they’re there forever but I like him it reminds me of like fun times so how many tattoos do you have uh one two three four four four tattoos and they all have they all the same as no juice but different dumb just to I have like a obb tattoo on the bottom of my foot I got a baby giraffe because that’s my nickname on my ankle I got a little island dude from like a just because that’s what I like to do and stuff in offseason and then they got the lip tattoo wow okay there it is so um you mentioned you you enjoy basketball um have you been watch have you watched any of the NBA Playoffs not a ton like in spurts I’ll watch I don’t like sit down and watch the whole game but if like we get back in time did get back watch no I said them watching on the bus but I got back it was so you don’t really have like who you think is going to win not really now I got people I like like Anthony Edwards and stuff just people I like to watch play but nothing I’m not like too attached to a team or anything like that I love the Lakers but they’re not playing right now well they’re not I’m GNA give my take I think uh I’m a basketball guy and you know I watch when we can um and I didn’t see the Mavs winning two in Minnesota and so I think with them winning two man I I had the Timberwolves coming out out against the uh the Mavs and so now that they’re down too we’ll see uh what them boys are talking about um but I had the Timberwolves come in there and then Boston coming out of out of the other side you know Boston being in Boston while they’re good because I got to see them them Bo probably crazy yeah that’s like what do you think the number one sport in Boston is that’s kind of a hard one because it’s Patriots and it’s like all this um man basketball in Boston though I feel like is a cult it’s crazy I guess all sports are yeah H cuz hockey is it’s true every that’s a hard question actually that’s a really hard question I feel like when you’re in Boston and and it it’s really like New England versus the world yeah like if you you either with us or you’re not and so being in there I just became a a Celtic fan Brewing fan a patriot fan and you just when they won you won you know and so it it was and then leaving Boston you kind of uh don’t have that feeling the same feeling anymore especially because I have a new home so it’s just completely different right but being in Boston was was super cool and so I but I I would probably say because I was there when Brady was there oh yeah probably the Patriots Yeah that would makees sense I the Celtics win they need one that’s the best team by far I think they they are they got get it they are nice Jaylen Brown Jaylen Brown and and Tatum and they’re they’re really good but but their their whole team was good Drew holiday I mean all those guys are really good so we’re all we’re professional Prof athletes too we’re we’re the Dodgers we’re professional athletes too who would you make your starting five for basketball for basketball on the do damn on the Dodgers on the Dodgers yeah on the Dodgers so it knocks it down a little more uh in no particular position I’m just going to go top five I’m gonna go you mooki I I’m too I’m I’m the same person did you oh [ __ ] sorry show hey mookie okay show I want two of you to start hey M okay okay uh Heyward uhhuh I’m throwing me in there yeah absolutely and then I’m going to offend a couple people here if I don’t choose them I’m trying to think yeah you’re going to offend there’s a lot of people you’re going to offend maybe like outman probably or Bobby someone like that no yeah like either there I’ll have an alternate Alvin Bobby okay so oh look that’s you Duncan oh yeah can you still do that yeah that wasn’t even that long ago huh no that wasn’t that bad so I used to could do that you probably can still do it you just got to get in shape for it I probably still could but but man man just see doing all that jumping that seemed like it hurts not really I feel especially like a pitcher and stuff too I feel like the training there’s a phase of it in the offseason that’s like jumps and like stability and stuff so it’s like you’re already ready and warmed up you’re like come on I may see if I can do it I may see if I can video you can do it okay so bro we got we got some fan questions you want to you want to hear some questions sure fans okay um glass who who do you think is the the funniest in the room not in the room in the locker room I’m sorry probably Kik I think he adds the most I think Kik takes takes the cake on that he he uh he’s funny all day every day during the game always on the field I appreciate it too cuz it’s consistent it doesn’t matter it’s always whether he’s playing it or not exactly yeah because it’s funny because like we’ll just be in the locker room and Freddy says k k entertain us and he will he loves it he does it yeah he loves it so it’s I would I would definitely go with uh with Kik okay uh who are you who would since you have no juice Lil booy who would be your top five uh favorite rappers I’m going to go I like a lot of the old reminds me like high school and stuff I love like Nas and Big L Big L Bone Thugs what what I don’t I don’t know Big L he’s a New York rapper like he’s uh you got any songs about Big L there’s a ton MVP used to be my walkout um Nas graveyard Nas Big L uh I like Bone Thugs a lot I I like wuang a lot and then I’d go is this just rap or is just everything uh we went rap rap yeah we’ll go rap and then got one more yeah uh like Outcast just good I’m trying to think of the last five something like that yeah go top five there top so like no Jay-z Eminem I don’t know if I throw it in thep I think if I’m going to like play something on my phone I would go those five for Eminem is amazing Jay-Z’s great or like I put like Biggie and Tupac somewhere in there as well but I’m it’s I don’t know how to they they weren’t in there so like no I think that like those I feel like because I listen to a bunch of stuff I listen to like a lot of alternative and like like tame and Paula and those type of bands I really like um and REE and stuff I listen to lot but if I going to listen to rap I’d probably listen to those five like a particular mood I’m trying to find if I’m like lifting or something okay I don’t even that wasn’t even remotely close to where I was going with the top five thought I I was trying to mentally be with you and I couldn’t at all so okay so being in Pittsburgh at the beginning of your your career and you seen what Paul skes is doing mhm what advice would you is there any advice you may give him as he goes and he goes no just keep doing what you’re doing he’s doing fine I don’t think he needs my advice especially me in Pittsburgh too I was not the one to Dish out advice I was like I needed advice so he’s figured it out he’s very confident he’s got three insanely good pitches clearly a good work ethic so no he’s he’s fine me that there’s no advice really to give a man that’s no he’s killing it everywhere like I mean you can’t on and off the field he’s doing great yeah so I’m sure when you were when you were younger right your routine was comp your regular routine your 5day routine was different and now you’re on a six- day routine can you take me uh like through through your routine the you know the couple days and then your game day routine I want to go go through both so yeah it’s it has been one or two extra days this year I think we should have so many starters and all the off dayss mixed in but I’ll go post day I do nothing I don’t throw I just do like a Mobility circuit with bmac and then I’ll go like manual therapy if I need it the next day I’ll just do a light throw with a lower body lift and then I’ll do needles if I need it and then Bullpen day I’ll do like throw uh Bullpen upper body lift definitely do needles after the bullpen just to like try and loosen everything up the following day I’ll do a light throw nothing crazy mixed with more like manual stuff and Mobility if I need it and then the following day is another light day of throwing with just like some sort of conditioning or like and before every day before I throw I have like a 35 minute warmup routine I do so like that’s always included and then the day before I pitch it’s pretty light just mobility and then pitch the next day but which which one of those days would not be in there if you were on a regular routine um I would go nothing post day and then I would do a light throw Bullpen just one small day and then so instead of having Bullpen two days a throwing pitch it would be Bullpen one day of throwing the pitch okay got got you got so what’s your like your your your game day routine cuz you know kers came on here and he was like at 653 I do this at 627 you know like so so if it’s a seven I’m trying to think if 710 game I’ll go training table at 5:15 put my dermabond on take my Advil do all my stuff time it out perfectly sua Fett if I need it I’ll go I’ll go an hour and 10 I think was it 610 I’ll go start my warmup or no 6:05 to 6:45 would be my warmup with all that stuff I do with the weighted balls that’s yeah with the weighted balls get my stuff on I go out to throw 25 minutes before I don’t throw very long because I just did my warmup like my weighted ball thing to get like all my get me going and then I’ll do so 25 minutes before 10 minutes of throwing eight or 10 minutes on the mound 5 to seven minutes sitting and chilling before I have to go out to the mound and then the game starts do do you throw like a a certain a specific number of pitches fast away fastball in no it’s uh kind of like I’ll go probably three to start I’ll go three heaters one heater up slider slider slider heater up curveball curveball heater up curveball it’s like and I’ll vary it off of the first few whatever doesn’t feel good I’m trying to get it okay so like it’s the first 12 are generally similar until I can see like what’s accurate what’s not and then with that try not to put too much weight into my warm-ups cuz there’ll be games for my warmups are amazing and I just get terrible game and then there’s games where my warm-ups are uh terrible and then I shove so it’s just more about like kind of getting the feel get the confidence and go out there and then forget about the warm-ups that I feel like that’s hard to do though yeah I think not not worry about the warm-ups like what what do you tell your while I’m doing it I’m worrying like I am I’m like trying to execute as well as I can and then after it’s like forget that so how do you know like instead of throwing just three fast balls like how do you know You’ now thrown eight in your arm you can’t keep doing this I it just it’s like a feel thing it’s like hitting you know if you’re doing something and you’re not feeling right you’re like around the ball as opposed to being through it you probably just do it a few more times um as far as like the workload thing though if I need to throw 10 in a row I’ll throw 10 in a row I think it’s just about getting timing because a lot of times like my fastball timing dictates my other pitches if I’m laid on my fast ball probably laid on my other pitches and then in there’s probably certain ways to fix it like trying to shorten up if I throw a slider get my heater a little bit more on time it’s it’s a varying scale like certain days it’s easy certain days it’s not it’s just trying to find the formula you know so I got I got a really good question U I think on here a while back you were voted in the top five or so for hair cool do you have can can you tell us about your hair care routine I don’t really have one that’s the thing everyone always asks like what I just whatever shampoo they got in the clubhouse and whatever conditioner so I just use the three in one at home if there’s no conditioner just throw whatever is in there I don’t do a lot of stuff with it so you just got you’re just blessed just throw whatever I need to throw in it and then the only thing I will have like a a uniform thing on is after I’m done showering shampoo condition or three in one I’ll just throw like um any sort of like I have this it’s like a hair lotion or a hand lotion it doesn’t really matter something to make it not dry and then I’ll tie it up and then it’ll dry and then I take it out and it’s and it’s fine so you like in the morning do you have to do anything to it I just just the thing I just get it wet some days it’s better than others or if I wash it I just put like some sort of oily thing in it and then I’m I’m good to go good for you I remember I used to have hair man that’s it was a that that was super you miss it it’s probably less maintenance now it’s way less M yeah I think that’s I missed having short hair I just wake up and leave yeah there is no Bed Head or anything so okay so I got a couple more questions if there’s any face any hitter you could face in the MLB MLB in MLB history anyone anybody probably B Ruth you want to face blow heaters by him I think you blow heers by she’s like it’s harder now but yeah I don’t know probably Babe Ruth that’ probably be my first answer like I wonder if you gave him a 100 fast balls he’d probably be able to like figure it out I think he’d figure it out and it’s all about the time like back then no one was playing year round they were had like they were doing stuff all the time then they go play baseball one the season so like if he was in today’s game I’m sure he’d still be a a amazing player if he could go all year round if he could but at the beginning of the Season you would just be absolutely blowing heaters by him there’s no way he’s ever seen that before probably not I know some people might have thrown hard but I from the video from what I can tell I don’t know how hard they were throwing I know how hard it was okay last last question question what what was it like when when you heard Shi uh was signed was signing with the Dodgers like where were you at when that kind of happened um and I want to hear your perspective on that from I was watching it every day so for me I knew I was going to get traded and I knew that they were a potential option so when he signed there I was like that’s kind of cool it would be even cooler if I went to the Dodgers now um from an outside perspective I I I guess what I was thinking of was like he had played for the Angels maybe he’ played in LA and been like I really like it here probably heard really good things about the organization because that’s I feel like most people ask around and everyone says good things about the Dodgers um I think more just for the game like that’s the market to like put him in they’re like a New York team I think overall for the game I was like this is amazing he’s there for it’s a crazy amount of money however many years 10 years this is amazing it’s like a huge demographic of a bunch of different people huge International Market like this is great for MLB that’s probably the first thing I thought MH and then and then now seeing him every day like is it is he better than or or worse or whatever than what you actually thought I honestly I feel like it’s the expectations of like watching him from afar and then seeing him he’s just doing the same thing he’s always done he’s Domin he’s killing it this year and I think the most surprising thing is how chilly is how like and I think it’s easy if you’re hitting 60 with 13 it’s easier to float around a little bit but even when he’s struggling like beginning or whatever all the stuff going on like he is you’ve seen he doesn’t he’s just like whatever he’s always happy he’ll go for four and come in and just laugh has the iconic laugh I hear it it echoes through the clubhouse 247 and he’s just chill he just doesn’t he’s he’s he’s yeah he’s a real deal yeah he’s amazing he’s the freak and he’s going to come back and Pitch it’s going to be crazy that’s that’s what I’m super excited for well glass thanks for coming on here I do want to say you know playing on the same side as you is actually super super dope man it truly is seeing a uh someone of your caliber do what you do hold yourself to the uh the standard that you hold yourself to the work you put in the uh the willingness to listen to the coaching staff and listen to CM and and Mark and those guys who I know are amazing and just be great an example it’s been uh it’s been great and I’m glad we’re going to be Dodgers together for for a long time I’m stoked man it’s been awesome so far it’s been really cool thanks for having me too of course um for those out there that uh make three in ones with the conditioner the shampoo and the body wash glasses in the market yeah there you go thank you guys for uh coming today see you guys next episode see you [Music] he [Music]

  1. Big fan from Australia 🇦🇺 only just started watching baseball last year believe it or not (its not that popular here) but now fully committed to the Dodgers and got all my family and friends watching them too. 🙌

  2. I predict that Shohei Ohtani will come here. Maybe Will Ireton will join him too? I’m looking forward to it.

  3. Do they know that they are featured in Japanese news almost every day? Fans in Japan who love MLB all know Betts and Freeman, and Glasnow is called "Prince" in Japan.

  4. The Angels players also said that Ohtani is always smiling brightly. But that is not an easy thing to do. He must love baseball, including making mistakes.

  5. Mookie and Glasnow you need to come to Japan sometime. Since Shohei has joined the Dodgers your games are on Japanese TV every game and you guys are really popular! Especially Mookie, Glasnow and Freddie are amazingly popular in Japan right now!

  6. You know Patric Sandval compared Shohei’s laugh to hyena’s. He said Shohei sounds exactly like hyena when he laughs🤣 and it’s so true.

  7. Since Ohtani playing the Dogers , you guys are very very famous among Japanse baseball fans!! We talk about you guys all the time in Chat that 150000 people join!!
