Round 3 Highlights | 2024 Soudal Open

Highlights of the third round in Belgium as Spain’s Nacho Elvira extended his lead to take command of the Soudal Open.

One week after the 2024 PGA Championship, the DP World Tour heads to Belgium this week for the Soudal Open at Rinkven International. Team Europe Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald will be in the field this week. He played all four rounds at the PGA Championship last weekend and finished well to make two-under par. Donald will be looking for his first top-10 this year having claimed 20T at the Dubai Invitational in January. Simon Forsström returns this week to defend his title. It was a rookie victory for the Swede last year who then recorded three top tens over the first five months. He is also looking for his first top-10 of the season after claiming a season high 21T at the Hero Indian Open in March. Adrian Otaegui will also be teeing it up in Belgium. He played 36 holes last week at the PGA Championship but was unable to progress to the weekend. The Spaniard will hope to find the same form which claimed him victory at the China Open three weeks ago.

struggle with a couple of chips today interesting to see how he gets on with this one yeah that was Brilliance go in go in oh what a golf shot that’s a golden up and down yeah I think we can give him yeah two in a row and he’s on a bit of a tear and he’s confident jine up ahead good [Applause] absolutely saw the driver Sam Jones at the 13th strong power for this one brilliant absolutely brilliant you can get some spin off it bring it back down so as he’s [Applause] done and he’s played that well made a few birdies over the last few holes and he’s got another one he has he has been nice to see that fist pump as Tim bter was saying lovely attitude to the game of golf and there you go Mike Lorenzo Vera at the 18th to follow in Garcia nice back line it was all a bit Scrappy on the outward Journey but it’s a 68 for the Frenchman still looking for his first win on the DP World Tour up to 8 Dean and Dean second well he looked to be aiming about 15 ft left with his foot line and his shoulder line but he hasn’t he’s gone straight over it and what a great finish this is does he get the cheer yes he does it’s a birdie birdie finish for Thomas Peters lard TAPS in for his power in a 67 and there you go it is yes at last birdie to finish first of the back nine for Ross fiser ouch see the fingers good job oh it is he’s got way more distance than I thought he would attempt to do but you can see how much it stung look at the right hand oh no oh no he’s he’s had risk problems before you know and he does so also excellent from langas who started strongly with three bird in the first six and finished very strongly with three birdies in the last three just a quiet spell in the middle of the round stopped it from being exceptional no so bogey at the last for the Spaniard it is a third round 67 well he was one ahead at the start of the day he’s four clear with a round to go here at rink vent hunting that second DP World Tour title [Music]
