Update: In an interview Rich Paul just said Bronny James won’t take a 2-way contract. If push comes to shove LA could still give him a roster spot with this build if it came to that

The fact that Cleveland is not considering JJ Redick as a candidate for their HC could mean that they don't believe he is a HC material. Nothing to do with the rumours about the Lakers HC position.
It would be beyond stupid if the Lakers pick JJ Redick over other candidates who are more qualified than him.
One thing about Vogel & Ham they always preached Defense 1st & always talked about AD being the anchor on defense .. Doesn’t really sit right about this JJ news 😬
AD value is on the office of side. He’s a great defense of player but he never wins defensive player of the year award for a reason I’ll give you an example Rudy Gobert has won defensive player of the year how many times because he strictly focuses on Defense, not office and defense. It’s OK to be focus more on all fence and still be a great defensive player. Another example is KCP He is a better defensive player than offenses player so his value lays on the defensive side. It’s probably the best way I can explain what JJ Redick is trying to say🤷🏿♂️

I'm not sure if you can create a better roster build than that for this team. You can't be strong at every position.. I will have to choose the point guard as The weaker position in this build because. LeBron James is still a ball handler and down the stretch Donovan Mitchell will have the ball in his hands
The ideal offseason won't ever happen until BOTH LeEGO AND Jeannie Buss are no longer associated with the Lakers.
JJ Redick WILL be the Lakers next..errr…'coach', because LeEGO NEEDS a Figurehead in that position. He is the opening for First Time coaches because NO Veteran Experienced coach is stupid enough to take the job and then get neutered by him.

Trev, I'm a fan, but this build is trash. You're obviously still under the influence of Ham. Need better offense/defense mix… Plus, these point guards will not cut it!
Nope. The Lakers are falling further. JJ is LeTool. Keeping these role players doesn’t make sense anymore with how poorly enthused they played all year especially during the playoffs. Much of it is Ham’s fault. The role players best game was at Boston. The Lakers FO should just get out of this dwindling cycle by asking the Cavs to draft Bronny and trading LBJ to the Cavs for Mitchell. All media focus would be on the Cavs which the Lakers FO envies but it’s better to get out of this falling spiral and get the best out of the rest of the team, make them play up to their potential. Mitchell will get a good test in a Lakers uniform to see if he wants and is worthy of an extension. A one year rental may not be the ideal scenario but poor results wouldn’t be any different than where this Lakers ship is going as is. Prediction: the Lakers will just trade LBJ to whomever drafts Bronny for picks/assets. This forces LBJ to not opt out and keep the bag as well as play with his son. LBJ was worried about some team drafting Bronny forcing him to opt out and getting him to play for vet min. The Lakers trading LBJ to the team drafting Bronny will get all to do what they said they’ll do ( LBJ playing with Bronny, Lakers putting a bag on the table) and get what they really wanted (one last bag for LBJ, Lakers showing all stars like Taytum that the Lakers organization is a place to play big and retire) – the end to this drama series created by LBJ’s back stepping.
