One week after the 2024 PGA Championship, the DP World Tour heads to Belgium this week for the Soudal Open at Rinkven International. Team Europe Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald will be in the field this week. He played all four rounds at the PGA Championship last weekend and finished well to make two-under par. Donald will be looking for his first top-10 this year having claimed 20T at the Dubai Invitational in January. Simon Forsström returns this week to defend his title. It was a rookie victory for the Swede last year who then recorded three top tens over the first five months. He is also looking for his first top-10 of the season after claiming a season high 21T at the Hero Indian Open in March. Adrian Otaegui will also be teeing it up in Belgium. He played 36 holes last week at the PGA Championship but was unable to progress to the weekend. The Spaniard will hope to find the same form which claimed him victory at the China Open three weeks ago.

so this at the first hole problems for Rafa Cabrera Bay are this for a par little Ridge just in front of him up and over and in She Goes My Goodness Me Now to the 14-year-old Arthur hauran something like that Ro isn’t it you’re virtually Belgian I thought that was perfect to be honest with you and that’s a super shot from Young Arthur as well well [Applause] done just a to cut this one a little bit amazing hands in his golf swing amazing awareness of where the club faces the club head is and a cracking shot right over the top of the flag fun player to watch Affy B tournament leader another short bar for the eth just an iron off the t and a pitch yeah it’s a tricky little flag position on the left side nothing to work with if you pull it slight l so down the hill for his birdie seven birdes on the card I already know Bogies so having a great day out there after a a 7even under par yesterday quite difficult to back up a low round like that but he’s done so really well so back-to-back rounds of 64 and NATO Alvera leads the way at 14 underpart and he has gone bogey free through the first 36 holes as well a very impressive start to the sudal open we’ve had one slightly thin one slight L fatted let’s see about the strike for seam here at the second there you go that’s a great shot right there very aggressive shot straight at that stick how about that from Ross fiser who has finished birdie birdie for a round of 63 and he’s only one behind our leader nacho l ver at 43 years young Tristan Lawrence of the par five he saw his second shot so nudge it in close here make the birdie yeah a little bit of left to right in this is it coming is it coming yes it is beautifully done perfect Pace down the hill there oh wow Eagle three for dodo Molinari that new pter as Mark suggested does flow so much better the confidence that he’s getting from it is allowing him to play some great golf again so a longrange p for birdy here one he’d be happy to lay dead and get down in two or does he have a different eye here he does indeed that could be the spark that gets Matthew Jordan going couple over par for the day after a brilliant seven underp yesterday but that could be a turning point and that is a rare birdie and his fourth in a row come on wi got it good it looks like he’s posing Xander Lombard and why not what an excellent iron shot after a good drive and surely a birdie will follow Lawrence good drive this may well be dancing around the hole he’s a good wedge player yeah that’s a cracker isn’t it we’ll give him that here we go hello hello spot on Mark found the Fairway cus will be slightly blocked out down the right so he’s to cut this one in pin on the right as well so that adds to the stress of the shot yeah what stress what do I know y oh there you go H he likes the crowd there be a few of the members around that green that’s uh well a a great bogey G moty has been on a great run four birdies in a row in the middle of the front line he’s got to the eighth right in the position off the te to attack this left hand flag and he’s done just that one of the 15 bels in the field this week B not going his way but is he going to make one to finish there you go it always gives you something doesn’t it yeah nice tidy player that’s actually not a bad little spot there under the trees nice clean lie that’ll kick forward yeah superb the ideal angle for Marcel seem to attack this pin on the left not much margin for on that left side having got it down the right Edge he’s looking right down the throat of it and like miloy finding the target and it’s a fairly straightforward P from there about time for Sam Jones to make his move today they always say it’s not easy to follow a brilliant day with another brilliant day ala’s done it that’s true deserves this and makes it winner y’s blicked at the 12th a little bit out of sink now can you make a par grimberg it’s looking like he will never never never anything else was it quite frankly it’s just six yards up a little tier so absolutely crucial to fly it up on top and he’s flown it all the way to the hole beautifully done look good all the way didn’t it there was quite a bit of break as you saw on that the worms eye view so Lombard to three underpar [Applause] it looks like I’ve got it around the corner at 14 first cut of rough so the spin will be taken off this beautifully under the hle mark in the commentary box and me out on the course as we watch the defending Champion Simon forstrom into the 16th well we’ve been hearing what a strength of his pitching is and there it is another example Anthony will quite correctly predicting he would make some birdies coming in if he barnrat this par part is absolutely crucial to have a chance and he’s done it right in the middle looks disappointed thinks that may be won too many we’ll have to wait and see there’s still quite a lot of golf to be played today second to the 16th hole shortage power for he’s a nice drive long way down the Fairway driving this one in low trying to bring it to a stand still and doing so by finding the bottom of the hole vburger making a large move at two under needing a strong finish and that is the start of it four under after an eagle two at the 16th ah hello Diaga has the shirt off the belt undone is this really necessary well he obviously doesn’t want to get mud on his shirt so yes [Applause] I mean I think personally if you’re got to go as far as that you might as well take the trousers off the shoes off the socks off and everything all Henrik Stenson correct Molinari from 144 yards does he like it the air eyes are stirring it down oh he should absolute cracker well that’s how it looks at the top and uh it’s another birdie for Joe Dean who’s picked up shots at four five and six and is now within a couple of shots of the lead
