Berrettini almost collapses on court as Murray fights back to win at Miami Open

Andy Murray was rewarded for his perseverance in a brutal first-round match at the Miami Open as he recovered from a set down to outlast Matteo Berrettini 4-6, 6-3, 6-4. The victory was only Murray’s fourth of the year and it sets up a second-round encounter with Tomás Martín Etcheverry.
As Berrettini was preparing to serve in the second set, he lost his balance, staggering to his right and nearly falling down before complaining of dizziness. He was quickly seen by the doctor and physio but despite being OK to resume he failed to recapture his earlier level of play.

  1. definitely scary watching this happen live…kudos to Berrettini for finishing the match, but he needs to take better care of himself

  2. No tiene nada, cuando va perdiendo,le aparecen los achaques, cuando gana es fenómeno, eso es desmerecer la victoria del contrincante, tipicamentementecontadina🤡!!!!

  3. Electrolyte balance is off… heat/ humidity? Hydration habits? Who knows what led up to this…his team I’m sure knows and will correct for future matches…

  4. Doesn't everyone realize that this is highly likely what the covid vaccines are causing? Coco Gauff didn't feel well at Indian wells last week.
    I read that Cazeaux too…
And it is not over. Far from that!

  5. Hope hes ok. That's a biiiig frame to move around the court.
Nice to see Murray still grinding ppl down!! I always loved his game…another one who would have more majors if not forn the big 3…

  6. He is a seasoned player. He knows to drink and eat. This is something else. He needs to get medical care. Another player went down as well.

  7. Murray has always been such a stubborn player to face, his stamina is amazing considering he has prosthetic head to his femur and pelvis. Much respect to Berrettini, those cold/hot flashes when your sick are no joke, he could've passed out at anytime.

  8. Murray celebrating after winning the second set was kinda classless. His opponent was fatigued and ill and you gotta do that? Come on, man.

  9. why are so many health sportsmen and women collapsing in the same manner what is going on, iam totally blind to the facts
