welcome back everybody to another edition of the Auburn undercover podcast on the 247 Sports Network Christian Clemente here joined by Jason Caldwell Jason it’s been a busy couple couple of weeks for us honestly being out on the road um especially last week we hit four Schools they’re in two days um official visit season kicked off this past weekend there were three official visitors plus some other guys that were on unofficial visitors on campus this weekend as well um Auburn got a commitment as well so it was definitely a busy couple days we’re going to recap all that before we get into that have to start the show with our thoughts and prayers to the B family um really hoping that Brian bti can pull through um Hugh frees offered an update on Monday on Twitter saying that there was a setback and that he’s still on a ventilator so really hoping for the best um in the limited times we’ve been around Brian he was a really really nice kid and really good to be around so obviously hoping for the best for him and for that family that’s going through something just traumatic so thinking with them absolutely definitely uh you know and I kind of trying to get some updates and there’s not really any information out there which makes you makes you believe that it’s still a very serious situation as e free tweeted today I was told like there’s there’s not really anybody communicating with anyone but hrees so this is basically him talking to some family members and that’s it so it’s a it’s a pretty guarded situation as you would expect with you know with everything obviously with ran but but you know losing losing his brother and you know family lost a son and and has another one that’s fighting for for his life so yeah just you know all you can say is his prayers up and and uh hoping that uh that this thing turns and turns for the better here soon yeah hoping for the best um moving on from that Auburn got a commitment this weekend Jason on Saturday from Dante core something that kind of has been in the works for a while I guess you could say um he visited for ad day um and that was his first visit and he some behind the scenes um he he committed at a day um you know he was he was in he was ready to go um and he had actually given us commitment quotes at the time as well um but he only visited with a small collection of his family um and so he got back home and there were some other schools like Old Miss as well that were still pushing um and got word that he was going to announce um either on Sunday or Monday you know whenever he was going to announce he ends up pushing things back brings his whole family back for an unofficial visit this past Saturday um lets everybody get a get time with Coach crime get time with the staff get time around campus a little bit the feeling is the same um and he ends up pulling the trigger so Auburn gets their their second quarterback commitment of the class um not the highest ranked guy it’s really not a strong quarterback class overall and there’s another guy that we’re going to talk about in here a couple of them actually at cornerback um but this is a guy that has pretty good size pretty good speed has run in the four fours um honestly when you see him walk around he kind of looks like Jay Crawford um in the sense that he’s got pretty good length pretty long arms um so he’s definitely got some tools there um that you add to the quarterback room yeah you know I kind of compared him a little bit to Roger mccu and that he’s a guy that’s a little bit under the radar um but but probably more physical than people would realize probably more athletic than you would realize and and probably a guy that you know if he’s playing at IMG Academy he’s ranked much higher um you know if already if he’s at a pop you know one of the schools in one of the big Metro areas he’s probably a higher ranked guy just sometimes guys fall under the radar still in this day and age unless you go to a bunch of camps and you’re going to all these different Under Armour things sometimes you can you can still fall on the radar a little bit so I think a really good pickup um this is a guy that Auburn’s like for a while so um no matter the ranking this was a guy that they liked and wanted and I think that’s probably the biggest thing that you know they’re taking this guy in May um you know and it’s you know it’s it’s not as early as it used to be in May but it’s still pretty early so that tells you that uh that this guy they they like and uh they wanted to get in this class yeah look Auburn absolutely wanted him um and they wanted him the whole time it wasn’t a situation where they said hey hold off for a little bit either um because you know we double and triple check that because in all honesty when he visited for a day um and you know we heard and he told us that he was planning to commit we were kind of excuse me sorry I thought I was going to sneeze there we we thought you know weren’t sure if he was going to be a take or whatnot um and we double and triple checked and Auburn wanted him and kept on him consistently um and then gets him back and he commits um so that’s the first quarterback that we’re going to talk about there’s a couple there was one of that was on an unofficial visit this weekend as well um but we’re going to swing over to the official visitors because some of those were a little bit bigger news um I think who everyone wants to know about his five-star offensive tackle Andrew babalola um originally from Kansas he took his first official visit of the cycle for him declined to interview afterwards he’s just he keeps things really guarded in his recruitment doesn’t really talk a whole lot pretty quiet um which is fine he was he was nice about it um but you know talking to some people at allburn some sources there and people close to the Recruitment and Auburn feels like it’s right there at the Top If not at the very top right next to Stanford which kind of tells you instantly if you say Okay Stanford is the primary competition and it’s a five-star offensive tackle you know what kind of recruitment it is and what he’s looking for in a school um he’s definitely looking for for good education for a place that can set him up for the future um along with the football as well but Auburn feels like it really put itself in a great spot here um and now you kind of have to weather the storm a little bit it’s good to get the first visit it’s good to set the bar a little bit but now he’s going to go see all these other schools uh Missouri is still involved Oklahoma is still involved Michigan is still involved Stanford obviously involved all four of those schools are going to get official visits here at the end of May um and then into June and then I think he’ll be done he is not one that’s going to stretch this process out um he is going to figure out what’s best for him and move on Commit and it’ll be probably pretty quiet roll with the rest but Jason you’ve already got four offensive linemen committed and this would be you’ve got some good ones committed but this would be the best one in terms of rankings yeah no I think it’s exactly what you do now if you’re Jake thoron and he freeze um and and the rest of the staff is is like go try to get Elite U go try to to shoot for the moon and get the best guys you can get and this guy that has visited um there’s some connections obviously for him and you think about Auburn um you know I think it’s a comfort level for him um so there there’s there’s some things that are definitely working in Auburn’s favor um as this one moves on uh obviously getting him get on campus for an official visit was a big deal um and you know because it’s not a real public recruitment I think that something that might work in Auburn’s favor because maybe these other schools don’t realize hey that’s a serious threat it might not feel like it but um I think Auburn is is right there and obviously would be a massive pickup if you could land this guy yeah sticking with the lead offensive lineman that were on campus this weekend Malachi Goodman um technically listed as an interior offensive lineman but he’s 65 315 he said Auburn’s recruiting him to play tackle look this is one of those Elite tier one guys Malachi Goodman Andrew babalola Brody scha um Josh Petty you already have tarus dice who I think Alber considers in that true tier one um you know someone mentioned on the board they said you know would there be enough space for for Malachi you know if Auburn gets Andrew babalola there is all there is always gonna be space for any of those names Auburn will make sure there is space one way or the other and Malachi Goodman is a name that’s quickly kind of shot up he got offered this spring visited two weekends ago unofficially back this weekend on an official visit Penn State and Georgia are kind of the main other two involved but Alabama and USC are there as well already officially visited Illinois um a guy that is definitely trending up when it comes to his interest in Auburn but beating out Penn State might be the biggest kind of question mark there yeah I mean you think about where he’s located uh that’s a place that traditionally Penn State has been pretty good at in that area uh getting offensive lineman in um again I think it’s connections um and hey can you be comfortable close to home doing those things one thing we do know is that even though he lives where he lives he it may be closer to get to Auburn um than it is to to Penn State um based on you know having to to to get to where you have to get to get I mean you could fly to Atlanta drive in it maybe it may not be very much difference in terms of time and so um but I think when you look at that this this was this is the guy I had somebody mentioned it to me the other day go like well they’re recruiting all tackles no no they’re recruiting all guys that can play tackle but also guys that could easily side ins side and you get multiple guys 65 66 athletic big bodies and you go okay may the best man win and then you always have guys that it’s it’s easy to move a guy inside easier to move a guy inside than it is to move a guy outside and so I think he shoot for the moon try to get load up Point offensive tackle spots and then and then you know see where those guys wind up and this is another one of those guys we’re going to double dip here a little bit at running back um because that’s what Auburn did at least on Saturday um over the weekend usan chroma um if you’re watching the YouTube That’s who the picture is of um the Lee County running back there from Georgia pretty big running back 511 a half 6 fo or so around 200 pounds um really really good he’s already a pretty polished pass catcher as well um he’s definitely he might be Auburn’s top top running back Target you know it kind of depends on feasibility there um and then going into the feasibility question there and you know talking about the two running back class how many spots you have available it of goes back to Alvin Henderson the Penn State commit from Elba Alabama who was also on campus Saturday showed up for an unofficial visit the first visit that we know of that he’s taken since committing to Penn State um to Auburn he could have snuck in before now I guess um but don’t necessarily know about it so it’s I’ve written about it we’ve talked about it Jason it’s an interesting scenario where you’re G to take two running backs but do you have enough nil money do you have enough time to invest in getting two kind of tier one running backs or do you end up with a tier one and a tier two um us man chroma and Alvin Henderson would both definitely be tier one guys um Usman is an interesting case because I still think George is in the lead there um but they’re recruiting a ton of other running backs as well so what if they fill up before he’s ready to go um and you know he wants to get he wants to get in somewhere it’s it’s an interesting scenario where we don’t have the answers simply because things have to play out a little bit Yeah it it feels like these even even with Alvin Henderson with Gman it feels like these things won’t be decided until November December officially and finally uh it feels like there’s going to be a lot of movement Alvin Henderson’s a guy that it still reminds me of kelrick Faulk it still reminds me of other guys where I say in the end I still believe that that Auburn is is maybe the team to beat for a guy like Alvin Henderson when push comes to shove but it may depend on what else happens if you were to get Usman and go hey okay here’s that guy it might not be the case and so um again I think alurn winds up with one of these two guys I just don’t know which one it is um maybe you get both um and I think that’s a possibility but again I think everything has to fall right for that to happen but um you getting getting these guys on campus for visits is is a key and obviously look at it you’re right too it it all depends on what the other teams do too and and how this thing shakes out because you know whether it’s trans fers whether it’s you know hey recruiting two other guys at this position you get both of them there’s so much that goes into these things now that that did not factor in even five years ago um that what you have to do and talk to uh a couple of guys High School side and and college side and they said the the key right now is is you better recruit everybody you can and as hard as you can because even if you don’t get him the first time you might get him 10 months later I mean it it may be that quick he may turn around he’ been made a portal already so you you build as many relationships as you can and and carry those out as long as you can because you never know when that thing comes back again and that’s that’s the game we’re playing right now shoot you could get guys after like spring practice some of those Alabama freshman after Nick Sav retired Florida was like second for that DB and then turned around and got him after spring practice so it’s it’s crazy um one of my biggest takeaways honestly from talk to Usman was just the energy level I mean it was look it’s his first official visit so he was experiencing things that he’s never gotten to experience he was talking about how you know they were pulling out the red carpet and you know they had little gift bags in the hotel room that’s something that you get on official visits but you don’t get on unofficial visits so he’s experiencing new things and pretty excited there’s a visit High there a little bit um but I still think it’s noteworthy I still think that Auburn is trending up here in his recruitment I think at one point Auburn was fifth or sixth kind of in his teams of schools that were going to get official visits um I think Florida state is trending down maybe a little bit and Auburn’s trending up Auburn might be that second team right now behind Georgia and then like we just talked about numbers wise it’ll be figure out who lands where and who still has spots available um the last visitor that we’re going to talk about this weekend um Shamar Arno the cornerback from Carolton former Tennessee commit who’s still being recruited by Tennessee just got offered by Georgia today as well um being recruited by A&M he had another school in there as well I can’t remember where um but the only official visit he has set up is June 14th um and Jason we had a conversation with someone who said that he is almost a completely different player um in terms of growing um and his play style and it was obvious getting eyes on him his 247 profile I had him at like 61 I don’t remember what his weight was um and we asked him he said he’s 6’2 and a half and I can promise you he’s 6’2 and a half yeah talking to him and being around him big DB who’s grown on the field and off the field sizewise too and seems like Auburn is definitely making a pretty big move here yeah and that’s that’s the part of this too is why these visits are so important um because it can be a separator it can change things maybe you felt good about a guy on on film um and then you go by the school and you see him practice and you go that guy looks even better than I thought he did let’s get him on campus and you get him on campus and you’re able to get your height weight and do those things and check them out it it’s it’s the ultimate reason why you’re getting visits and um you this is a guy that I think probably has changed uh maybe the course of his recruiting as much as anybody in the last you know four or five months like you said because uh this is now a a legit big physical defensive back and a guy that can can get downhill and do some things and already had the cover cover side of things so really interesting player on a really loaded loaded football team yeah um he was also with his five-star safety teammate zealous Hicks who’s in the 2026 class um he said that Auburn is top five um and noteworthy with both of these guys is both of them are expected back in June Carolton is going to participate in the seven on seven Camp um zeis even said he wants to come back for a separate camp and get kind of a one-on-one workout in and kind of work with Coach crime um and coach Kelly there as well um and then both of them are going to be back for Big Cat weekend as well so Auburn’s already filling up that list there’s already probably that we know of close to 10 guys dozen guys or so they’re planning to be at Big Cat weekend and the list is I mean it’s May 20th and that’ll be July 27th um so there’s a way to go there but Jason let’s transition to on the road because we were on the road Monday and Tuesday last week like I said we hit four high schools um we’ll go in order of where we went first we went to Milton to go and see Ryan G and CJ Wy um also Ethan Barbor the Georgia tight end commit which you know we recorded a quick little War Eagle wake up before we left and I said that Auburn’s kind of flirting with Ethan Barbor still um I think that was understated a little bit I think Auburn is very much still in the picture there um and he even said so so it was good to get eyes on those three um see how they play a little bit talk with them a little bit and it was a it was a productive productive time up there at Milton it was obviously Ron G is a guy that you look at him and um I mean he is a he’s a big long kid that is going to end up being probably 255 260 I think he’s going to be similar to a uh a luk deal kind of guy before he’s done he’s Luke deal but he’s probably already more advanced or at least a little bigger yeah I think yeah I think he I think he’s got some of those things and so uh I think that’s what he is and then you know again we probably we’ll talk about guys over the course of this but Milton had four five other guys obviously you look at it guys that are younger guys um but um you know you look at at Ron G and then you look at Barbour outside then you look at CJ Wy um I don’t know that there’s a team that maybe is impressive as those guys across and and they got a Miami quarterback commitment um that could sling it um that’s going to be a really really good team and a team that’s going to be tough to stop um especially throwing a ball and but CJ Wy is you know we knew about him you see him in person and you watch him run and and the improvements he’s made you know just in kind of speed he is separating himself as an elite wide receiver in his class yeah look I mean he’s he’s 6’4 190 195 is someone there and he runs a 1083 I mean he’s a lot of the time I mean you can watch the film but it’s so much better to get out there and get eyes on guys even just small things like how do they interact with teammates how do they interact with coaches what are they as you know players more than just what they are on the field um and CJ Wy is Elite across the board from everything we got to see look he’s not he’s not cam Coleman there’s only one of those every so often um but this is a guy I think is a top 100 player in the country um definitely a top 20 top 15 wide receiver in the country in a year that’s a little bit down at wide receiver it’s it’s going to be an interesting recruiting battle because Georg is on him heavily obviously he’s from the state of Georgia um and then LSU was not even really in the picture now they’re making a pretty big move up and that’s where his dad Chuck Wy played so that makes things that makes things interesting a little bit it does yeah and your dad was really good a defensive player um CJ is hey the day we showed up he played more safety than he did wide receiver they ran him you got a few drills and some things in there wide receiver but he’s a wide receiver all the way on the next level and yeah I I think he’s a guy that right now you would say 10 to 12 wide receiver by the time we get to the end of next fall he may be top five wide receiver before it’s all setting on yeah he’s really good um this is one that we’ve talked about it on here before the recruitment of JuJu Lewis and if Auburn can land him greatly impacts their chances with any pass catcher especially a pass catcher in the state of Georgia um like CJ Wy so that’ll be interesting to tracking he did already take his official visit um during AA weekend but there’s a chance that he’ll be back he might be a big cat guy his June is already pretty filled up with official visits um Jason then we went over to Buford um at the crack of dawn actually before the crack of dawn it was Pitch Black outside um but we got over there for their workout at 7 AM we had to leave earlier than that it was not still completely dark out at 7 AM um but talked with Jaden perotti talked with Devin Williams talked with Bryce Perry Wright the elite 26 defensive lineman probably talked with another we prob I probably built out another 10 to 12 profiles of guys that are D1 probably power four football players um and there were probably another dozen guys that were mid- major guys already look it’s a it’s a stacked program up at Buford and Jaden Pat and dein Williams are two of the main ones to know there yeah we saw we saw Buford and Grayson on the same day and I would guess between Buford and Grayson they’re probably 40 division one guys between senior Junior sophomore classes um but you you’re right Jaden P was P was um impressive in the workouts doing the things and and doing you know and um I I you know I think when you get to talk to guys and kind of in their environment a little bit you get a little bit better feel the day we were there DJ Durkin was there um watching and so was Wes McGriff um they were watching Auburn I mean watching these guys work out do those things but before that even happened we talked to Jaden he talked about DJ Dirk and how much of an impact he’s had it and we we had heard that but it it was even more imp parent knowing that they were there that day him talking about that that bond that relationship and how big of a deal that is for him I thought it was one of the more interesting things we heard on on the entire road trip was him talking about DJ Derk yeah I mean he said there’s a reason he went to Texas M three times last year to go and check them out and he also said that’s there’s a reason he’s not going to visit Texas A&M anymore and that’s because of DJ Durkin um he really really likes DJ Durkin he’s already built a pretty strong bond with Josh Aldridge as well um obviously Aldridge coaching the edge position there now um but it’s interesting Auburn’s been really close here a couple times hasn’t quite gotten over the top this one feels like it’s going to just be a really tough recruitment to pull him away from Georgia it kind of feels like you know it kind of feels similar to Auburn with Eric wyers with Alvin Henderson where it feels like they’re not going to let him leave the state ultimately kind of feels the same way with Jaden pady in Georgia um but Auburn has a couple things working working in its favor here and you know we’ll see and then you mentioned the workout look at the end of the workout they had to do 125 burpees um and at Burpee 120 he’s still getting two to three feet up off the ground jumping up I mean it was it was impressive to show his athleticism we already knew it from watching his film but it was impressive yeah it was and then you know dein Williams um you know his his teammate commitment uh a guy that we talked earlier about guys that have changed kind of their profile this is a guy that just I mean it feels like it’s just a couple weeks ago we saw him it it was probably probably a couple months ago that that came through Auburn for a visit and it feels like he’s an inch and a half er uh it sure felt that way when we got a chance to talk to him and we weren’t the only ones that felt that way either no he you know he is longer um a guy that’s going to continue to get bigger and stronger he knows that’s his thing um but he is true cover guy a guy that can run speed um so I I think it’s a really good addition and a guy that I think has a has a bright future kind kind of reminds me a little bit of DJ James went saw DJ James when he was in Spanish Fort and you go hey is is that gonna be big enough and he just kept kind of grinding at it but the skill set was there and Devon’s already bigger than DJ James was when he when he was at this this point in high school and um worked out pretty well for him so I think a very similar skill set you mentioned that we went to Grayson um obviously the home of festar linebacker Tyler Atkinson um Anthony Davis is there as well two top 247 guys at the linebacker position in the 2026 class um you mentioned all all the other names they have as well look they have again I built out another dozen probably profiles of guys that will be D1 guys in the 26 and 27 class and even some 28 guys as well but all eyes there are really on Tyler ainson I feel like it’s Auburn Georgia Ohio State early but there’s still a long ways to go but look DJ Durkin was at this workout as well Josh Aldridge was there it doesn’t matter if this guy’s a linebacker or an edge rusher or playing a little bit of both he’s really really Elite um at at his age yeah and uh the thing that that stood out to me was was talking to this position coach um assistant defensive coordinator graceon he said look since this guy’s a freshman we have zoomed every Sunday uh we talk he comes in at five o’clock in the mornings to meet do these things I mean that’s not normal for a 16y old guy that’s not that’s not the way this thing is done and that’s the way he approaches things so you combine that with elite athletic ISM at the linebacker position and to me you have a guy that is just just on the fast track for success and and early on the next level so like there’s no reason there’s no question why he is such a highly thoughta and sought after recruit is because of not only athleticism but just the total package and um really enjoyed really enjoyed our time at Grace and we it was open door what do you need and it was a be for two that’s the thing everywhere we went um everywhere we’ve gone has been great but those guys were like hey what do you need here we go and so we got a rundown of players and you know positions all these things and so it was a it was a fun experience yeah the one of my last memories of Tyler ainson as long as he’s playing football will always be the Under Armour Atlanta Camp earlier this year um where it was the defensive lineman and Edge rushers worked out first um and his name was on the list for that and sure enough he’s going through the workout as an edge rusher and I’m like huh that’s weird you know think he’s more of a linebacker but he could be an edge a little bit goes through the full workout through the full Camp as a edge rusher um they do the award ceremony like outside um and he says I have to go back inside um because I’m also doing the whole Camp as a linebacker as well but we can do interviews after that um so he he was I think the only guy that went through that camp and participated in two different positions um two different position groups which is impressive um especially for a guy who’s going into his junior year really looking forward to Grayson plays at Thompson um this fall that’ll be a really fun game to be at um and then our final stop Jason a place that we are plenty familiar with place that we have been quite a bit um lanston Hughes home of Auburn offensive tackle commit to vars dice um Auburn is still recruiting his offensive line teammate dantro Glover a little bit as well um and then they have a really strong group look I feel like everyone in the state of Georgia has a really strong 2026 group um but they’ve got a tight end Xavier tiller who is probably already more advanced than gelani Thurman and I think galani Thurman is a really good tight end who’s gonna continue to grow there at Ohio State um Auburn recruited him out of high school I’m sure people remember and then they’ve got a running back Carson Baker in the 2026 class who has really good really good size really good speed um and getting to watch him practice he’s gonna he’s gonna blow up man he you know for the folks that you know will remember um this is not too far back but but honestly it’s funny because it’s the guy we ran into uh in while we were getting coffee before we went to Langston Hughes we’re sitting there and CJ spittler walks in the door I went over talk to him for a few minutes because it’s a guy that I I covered um before he went to Clemson because this guy that all recruited and then you go watch Carson Baker and you go that’s what’s that’s CJ Spiller that’s who he is I mean I ran a 10600 uh in track this spring and he’s 16 to 190 he’s not small yes this is not a 58 165lb running back this running a 106 this is a bigger back that can put it down and um so he’ only been out there a couple of days he went watched him but uh you can see the explosiveness and this is guy that’s just going to be a junior um big offensive line group uh they got a couple of running backs that look pretty good that’s going to be a team that’s going to be able to run the football and put up some big numbers in a running game and yeah Carson Baker’s a guy that I think is going to have some some money numbers and is going to be I think he’ll be again a top 10 running back in the country you know when we’re sitting here this time next year yeah and then it was you know I already got to see him at the Under Armour Atlanta Camp um but it was good to see tar dice in pads um going through practice a little bit it was a little bit of a lighter practice um but did get to see some pretty good things there as well look you talked about it earlier in the show recruiting a lot of guys who can play tackle but could also move inside dice probably one of those candidates especially because he’s your traditional tackle size he’s not 66 he’s closer to 6’4 um probably around 290 maybe around 300 or so but he’s got really long arms um and that’s what kind of allows him to play The Tackle position um and he could definitely do that at the next level as well but you know depending on how many tackles you get and how they perform this is a guy that could maybe slide inside um but you definitely you have to still hold on to dice as well because Florida is still recruiting him really heavily yeah I think this is a little bit bigger version of a guy like d the weight I think that’s who you know you look at his his body size and style and um feet and it’s a guy that can really play and he gets to play right tackle for them because they have another pretty good offense Ling on the other side um I think dice is truly a guy that could play any of the five spots um I think he’s a guy that could play across the board he can play center I think if you need him to eventually learn how to snap no question in my mind he can play guard but I think he’s got to play either Tackle Spot and you’re right it just depend on on what it looks like how good he is and yeah he’s not your 66 traditional tackle but he’s big enough to play tackle if he’s the best guy and uh and and he’s pretty good and um the thing about you look at him right there and you go he looks you know I could see him being you know maybe a a three technique defensive tackle a guy that ways like no he’s an offensive lineman but he’s built like one of those guys that that could play defense and man those are the kind of guys that you look at that have such longevity in the game because of that athleticism because um you know having to get bad weight off of guys put good weight back on all those things you’re not going to have to do a whole lot with tar dice except getting ready to play and see what happens yeah so that wraps up um our high school trips we took nine this spring um probably done I don’t think we’re going to go anywhere else um least that I know they’re all coming to us now yes thankfully um no official visitors that we know of at least right now going into this weekend um but that doesn’t mean that one can’t pop up and you we’ll have that covered at Auburn undercover.com if that does happen um but then next week I believe Monday through Thursday it goes into a very brief Dead period um and then the weekend of the 31st things fire back up again bradrick schol is supposed to be in there’s a bunch of other official visitors camps start I believe June 2nd um so Jason we’re a couple weeks away from things really really ramping up there for a couple weeks and then uh then it’ll go for a little bit before big cat weekend speaking of May 31st um Blake would be the Ohio State former Ohio State commitment who visited this spring um scheduled an official visit to Auburn that weekend as well so that was some news that um Brian Don had from 247 Sports on Monday so shap them shaping up to be a busy couple weeks here it it is and um it’s it’s really changed so the Camp season was always you know kind of a busy time but now that you have have official visit time and Camp season and everything that’s going on the guys are taking visits earlier the the month of June has really replace December um you’ll have some late visits these those things it’s December now is more portal and and more the high school recruiting hot time is June this is the time and and we’ll have visits like you say camps 707s are going to be incredible um if if most of the teams show up that that we’ve heard are going to be in Auburn for those two days of seven on seven camps it’s going to be spectacular and so we’ll have a lot of coverage from that but yeah this it’s going to be a uh it’s going to be I would say the next what would say roughly four and a half weeks or so um are going to be a whole lot of information a whole lot of football recruiting and uh what going be a lot of fun yeah I mean then it’ll go quiet for a little bit but usually once it goes quiet that means it’s time for kids to make their decision that’s it they make those yeah Fourth of July lock it in cuz something will happen that day so the fireworks um I think Zion Grady has already said he wants to commit on the 4th of July which look you anybody can do whatever they want um if a recruit is listening to this I would recommend not committing on the holiday because you are probably going to get the least amount of traction um that you will ever get because people are not on social media but I understand it people want to do it on a special day um so it’s all up to them and no matter what we will cover it doesn’t matter if it’s Christmas Day or whatever we will have coverage of it um speaking of commitments actually I need to mention this real quick jichael Garrett um the Gulf Shores linebacker um he’s going to announce a commitment on June 19th you can go over at auburnundercover.com for a full preview of that by the time you’re listening to this it should already be up um if it’s not already up it’ll be up shortly on Tuesday um got a chance to talk with him for a good couple minutes there he’s got seven schools that stand out he hasn’t made a choice yet um and he’s going to visit pretty much all those schools and then then have a decision but in my opinion I think it’ll be pretty hard for Auburn to be beat there yeah the interesting thing about him is is you hear G Shores High School but this is a calhon county kid so you start thinking about Bren jiner you started thinking about Antonio kite you started thinking about even Sylvester Smith who who was from from mford right down the road there are a lot of connections to you know to to him that are on the Auburn roster I think that’s a big deal I think it’s something that plays it at this yes it’s really Auburn Ellis you are kind of the main ones Michigan and Miami and Tennessee a little bit on the outside as well um Jason I think the last recruiting note that we should touch on real quick to end the show um this is one that you got tip tipped off to um at the end of last week comes to fruition on Monday um Chris Davis II nicknam CJ the son of Chris Davis from the kick six offered by Auburn um usually we would not do a story on a 2028 recruit or something that far out in advance but obviously this is a very special circumstance um so we had something up on the website about that for a pretty pretty special offer yeah I’ve been been waiting on this one for a few days uh heard it was coming down the line and just kind of made kind of waiting on on on him to announce it but um really talented I mean this is a guy that we’ve been hearing about now for a couple years even though he’s still just going into the ninth grade um and you saw the clips uh from their spring game and and played a pretty good football team on the other side and his Clips are really impressive and this is a guy that’s going to be a ninth grader but is already really physical running the football and obviously athletic so um the state continues to put out really really talented players and you already seeing hey here’s here’s the next crop starting and uh Chris Davis is is definitely a name to remember yeah so that pretty much wraps up the recruiting stuff um look we could go for another 30 minutes of stuff we need to talk about um you’ve been covering women’s golf out there competing for a national championship um nobody else and you’re dedicated to it like nobody else really is you’ve had the baseball team their season just wrapped up had a bunch of coverage after the season is already wrapped up now um look Philip Marshall was down in Tallahasse he was softball their season wrapped up now the coaching search really ramps up although that’s already been ongoing um Nathan Kane was out at Alexander City for one of Bruce Pearl’s um events that he had talking basketball a little bit so there’s a ton of that over at Auburn undercover.com we’re not going to be able to go through all of it today on the podcast maybe we’ll do something again later this week um if not we will see you guys again next week for a podcast for sure a preview um the the May 31st official visitors look out for um if you’re only you know watching on YouTube or listening as a podcaster and you’re not over at auburnundercover.com highly re recommend checking us out Wednesday we’re going to debut our new series called Wednesday watch list where Jason and I go pretty in-depth um everything that we’re hearing everything that we feel what it would mean for Auburn um on a collection of recruits you know three four five maybe two guys just depending on the week we’re just going to pick some names and we’re going to break them down so we’ll have that at auburnundercover.com on Wednesday along with a ton of other stuff as well appreciate everyone for tuning in and we will catch you guys soon

I believe it would be a good thing for 'On To Victory' to give Battie's NIL to his family even if Battie doesn't ever play again.
