so we’re going to open these boxes now I already forgot what’s in which box I’m going take a wild guess and say that these are our clubs imagine just a whole bunch of training AIDS going take a wild guess what do you want to open first uh I have no idea what’s in any of them legitimately so I’ll let you decide which one’s first really strong feeling that this is the driver this is the driver I mean it’s the tallest biggest box so I would assume so everybody always wants to see the driver first so didn’t you ever learn that you should never cut a box towards you that’s like the first rule is when you’re kids no o oh our drivers are together man I’m excited for this a much needed grade maybe I’ll actually hit a fairway for once okay I’m going to pull mine out and read what’s on the fitting card I mean that is just a be I’m not one of those super freaks like Brandon who triple diamonds Super stiff crazy heads everywhere I just go with the classic Max 9° I’m able to adjust it if I need to vent this red so for those of you who don’t really know the reason why I went with a Ventus Red is because I’m very low spinning by Nature like especially when I go after the ball I tend to hit very up on it and it kind of knuckle Dives out of the sky so I’m going for aventus threed to try to get me a little bit higher launch and spin where I can sustain a lot of speed it’s a TR but it’ll still launch higher and spinni than for example Brandon’s um which Brandon’s is just like ridiculous I mean Paradigm Triple Diamond AI smoke 9° on on aventus Blue 9.0 TR uh I swing a little faster than cheyen so uh naturally I needed something a little stiffer and um a little less spin because I typically hit more down on the ball so this should help me hit missiles we were getting fit I was hitting everything with the Paradigm driver pretty good and then he put this in my hands with a new shaft my God it was like I was hitting lasers that is something special so there you go I smoke right there for you this way this way this way I don’t know that’s really nice that’s driver then we have three-wood same shaft so that’s uh three-wood Paradigm AI smoke triple diamond on the Ventus blue PR blue extra stiff same reasoning I typically need actually about the question if I got my three I thought and they did the extra rep that’s pretty good I thought yours was the only one for a second TI man look how look the confusing uh fitting a quarter inch shorter tipped .1 point0 with only one wrap of 164 of Ryan spent legitimately like 75 minutes with every single Club in his hands it was actually ridiculous how long it took I’m pretty sure I did my entire fitting Brandon was still on his driver um Ventus red once again very similar reasons actually the only difference between the driver and the 3-wood I went for a Triple Diamond 3-wood Head the reason being because I can get a little bit knuckle DIY like I said before but my swing is very draw biased by Nature uh when it came to the driver the best uh fade biased setup I was able to create to offset some of my draw was the max head down a degree set to the fade on the sliding weight when it came to the 3-wood it was a little bit better fade bu for me if I just went straight on the triple diamond so uh that’s what we did here again same shaft uh as the driver obviously the weight is a little different but the actual same specs in terms of helping me get a little bit more height and spin on the ball actually the only thing I was going to mention that I forgot to mention on all my clubs I add two wraps not that it’s that important it just helps me Comfort wise for the size of my hand I don’t like it regular size grips uh for me feel very small and my fingers tend to uh go against my thumbs too much and then midsize feels just too clunky my hands so I go with a regular size plus two it’s usually like perfect amount of size what’s [Music] next so notice by the way just for everybody how I put the box on the table and I I cut it like this not towards me like Brandon was doing with the other box where he was never CAU Bo what’s in the box what’s in the box Putters yes so Brandon copy mean okay man the putter you’re so annoying because I’ve been playing with the same putter but the older version the older model of it and then BR decided you know what let me just copy shine because shine’s a much better putter than me so let’s order tell you the real story the real story is about four years ago I started playing with an odyssey 7 triple track and cheyen loved it so much and was jealous that he switched over to a seven and just last season I went to a versa 12 because I like the way that it it it feels um but this season with the new ai1 the seven was just perfect honestly yeah so I In fairness Brandon is not wrong I’ve been putting with the seven ever since I actually tested it because of Brandon um I tend to putt a lot better with a mallet versus a blade the reason why I went for the one with the insert as opposed to the gold mil putter uh was because I have a very like stabby kind of aggressive stroke and when I go with the m uh putter faces that ball was taking off like a rocket but way too much like it just didn’t work well with my kind of speed profile uh so I went to the insert it tends to kill a little bit of that speed off the face for me and I’m able to control my speed just a lot better and honestly I mean kind of what Brandon just did kind of got me excited a little bit there look at this I always played a seven um slanted love the slant neck um I love the white hot insert the reason I like the seven so much is because it gives me that I don’t know I feel like the sight line gives me the feel of a blade putter but at the same time I just have the weight and the balance of the Mallet so I kind of like that this is open this is so legitimately sexy it’s turning me on a little bit yeah and I think the coolest thing that they did this year with the A1 is just those those windows into the head so you can I don’t know if you can see from down there but the window into the head that shows show this camera I’ll show this camera now this camera this the wind to the Head kind of shows you the little bit of the technology they have behind the face um that helps uh compensate for misses off the toe misses off the heel and gives you that same distance and power that you do or would have with a center strike so okay love that love the seven love the head covers super sexy super clean yeah I W cutting it not with your hands in the way get out of my way is this good for you wow look how smooth Brandon look how smooth back oh baby so that would be Brandon got my utility woods and these are my wedges wedges these are all Brandon’s guys we’re going to go to you’re going to see this in the next fitting so uh typically I play uh I play uh a hybrid and this time when we were out there in California I got fit for a utility wedge it just felt better than the hybrid that comes with the standard Paradigm set love yeah you just said utility wedge oh utility wood sorry utility wood I got fit for utility wood uh feels similar to the hybrid I guess this just had the a better look down the line that I I I preferred to the hybrid that was coming with the Paradigm set onto the same shaft vent’s blue TR uh you know I swing it pretty fast and I need lower spin so this definitely helps me achieve that so it’s my first season actually with a utility wood I’m excited to see what that’s going to do yeah I’m out give me a three iron all day I’m a much better iron player than wood player or hybrid player so I always go with the three irons in my sets these are your wedges these are my wedges yeah so we can kind of talk about those actually I’m excited to talk about the 60° but let’s open everything up and see what we got there’s more wrapping on the wedges than any other club I’ve ever seen well they’re the raw I think so they want to protect the the head until you actually want it to start uh oxidizing Jaws Raw we have the bag these wedges are 56 yeah this is definitely a Brandon wedge I don’t play with a 56 degree wedge look at that 56 60 and where is the 52 this is one 52 so yeah I like to play a 52 56 and a 60° um I’ve always played with a 56 and a 60° so I recently added in a 52 into that um and got rid of the Gap wge that typically comes with an iron set this is on the dynamic gold s400s so that’s a 521s standard Jaws raw then we have the 56 10s again on the dynamic gold S400 and then lastly the 6012x just to have that Leading Edge help you with shots around the green and just picking it up a bit better so that’s my wedge set okay get them off the table yeah as you can see the last box is the most exciting one because it’s my irons not brand no my irons haven’t come in yet but we decided to film this today because Shan just couldn’t keep his hands off these clubs so tell me about your clubs I mean Apex Pros the standard Apex Pros Brandon ordered the CBS don’t ask me why I didn’t order them I got fit for them I don’t think Brandon should be playing CB listen if you’re out there he tends to perform better with them for whatever reason Bren is an outlier he does not need them that’s right I went with the standard Apex Pros um funny enough so I’m playing the dynamic gold x100s but uh the 115 shafts the reason being is I tend to prefer shafts that are slightly on the Lighter Side to believe it or not this is actually going to be the heaviest shaft I’ve ever played I actually used to play 95 G shafts people always used to laugh at me when I get onto the golf course cuz they like super whippy this is still 20 gram heavier than what I used lighter than used could be the head to though no these are actually heavier than what I were was playing prior um and uh the only reason why I went a little bit heavier was because I felt as though if you are going to be and this is just from a technical perspective if you’re going to be swinging clubs that are very light of course you can swing them very fast but at some point uh you know it’s going to end up limiting you like kind of creating a ceiling on how much you can control it within a certain speed profile and so I had to go a little bit heavier to be able to kick my club head speed and my just my Tempo a little bit faster and still be able to control the launch uh so I went for a 115s but I mean Apex Pros I’m really excited you got it from what you got it from four to pitch uh three to pitch three to pitch it’s true you don’t play a hybrid I don’t play a hybrid I’m a three guy I so the strongest part of my game in my entire life has always been my irons I think brenon would easily agree to that I’d say irons in short game are for sure your strengths irons and wedges let’s say in general uh putting has been better lately but it wasn’t my best driving driving has always been my weakness although I will say it’s been better of late uh but my iron game has always been my strength but now I want to kind of kick it up a notch so I’ve always hit three IRS better than hybrids it’s just kind of the way it’s always been for me excited to see you hit these I mean when we were out there you were striping with these the the thing with these Apex I noticed is that you know every time they come up with a new set of irons they’ve always been he always had like U you know like amazing technology in it or something this is I don’t want to say the first time but this is the probably the the most excited I’ve been for new irons based off of just the look they’re they’re so goddamn good-looking uh and they performed really well honestly for both of us when we were getting fit so excited to try these this season I’m still waiting for mine hopefully they don’t get stuck at the border the only thing I didn’t get was my wedges it’s true you didn’t get your wedges my wedges have not come in yet so so when we go those maybe we’ll add a an extra post or story or something we’ll throw up on our social media for that but uh that’s exciting exciting times I’ll tell you paradig A1 Paradigm AI smoke Apex Pro Jaws raw you
