amped up I was like ah this is like totally few weeks late at this point that’s all right boys and girls welcome to talking Jets my name’s Ryan I’ll be your pilot tonight I’m joining alongside my co-pilots I’ve got Mr Yellowstone green bean to my this way I got Mr Matt o to of that way green bean how you doing tonight I’m happy man I’m happy to be back I uh I missed you guys when I was away in Florida and uh you know it’s it’s a good time to be back we had the first media you know open media day for our OTAs we get to see some stuff we get to listen to some stuff so I’m excited to be back and talk about all that fun stuff with you two and the chat it’s going to be a great night oh ly how you doing tonight I am doing fantastic we are in live tweeting OTA season where we’re doing like stat lines for the quarterbacks and who caught what touchdown this is it I got my popcorn ready throughout the day just ready to go through take my notes on who was great and who’s going to be a big bust in 2024 through one practice and away we go it’s the underwear Olympics we got our uh our gym shorts on no pads no nothing barely any defense on the field Aaron Rogers goes like five of five and then two of two or something like that and a touchdown I think is what I saw I don’t know I might be conflating that with nyj Matt’s uh statistics that I see all the time love it I I I think it’s even better when I see them posted somewhere else and I 100% have made a video in the past off some of those like mythical statistics that’s all right I love it every touchdown pass that Aaron Rogers throws I want to see and I just can’t get enough of it just shoot it right into the veins yeah I’m pissed at the Jets account that they didn’t tweet out out the 40 yard touchdown pass to Xavier Gibson between two Defenders what the hell man that was like six hours ago you can’t get one freaking video of it maybe they’ll catch us while we’re uh we’re on stream we get that occasionally where it’s like oh that’s true those boys are live let’s send them some content dropping signings and trades and stuff during the talking Jets panel we’ll see boys and girls we’re GNA out they’ll fan it out for us yeah make sure you hit that like button on the way for every 25 likes we get on this video we’re going to pick a T-shirt jersey hat mug pillow qualifier at the end of the stream so hit those milk thumbs milk thumbs are so boys we are into OTA season stuff going on there’s a few people that were not there uh Zachary says what happened to Ryan’s voice does why does he sound a little sick cuz I got two kids daycare and their little Petri dishes I’m coming home like little raspy voice right now there also allergy season too I don’t know if you guys get seasonal allergies but um yeah I I’ve I don’t think I’ve felt right in about two months uh had a a couple illnesses mixed in with the allergies but I don’t know what you call it but like that tumble weed [ __ ] that falls from the trees is killing me right now tumble weed oh that’s great hey Matt have you ever seen real tumble weed not in real life no uh I was I when you drive across Kansas like Route 70 across it’s just a straight shot it’s like those movies you just see the road like disappear into a tip into the [ __ ] Horizon there’s just nothing and when you’re driving there’s all these tum weeds that just roll across the street it’s the craziest thing I’m like holy [ __ ] that’s tumble weed like I first that’s real like yeah it’s it’s that’s a weed that’s tumbling yeah yeah it’s a real thing man it’s real it’s like you’re in the wizard ofz yeah exactly I was going to say I think I we went out west when I was in Middle School we did like a whole like you know National Park kind of tour and I’m pretty sure it was Wyoming when I saw the tumble weeds if I’m not mistaken um everywhere out there’s like a 100 mph speed limit and like a mailbox every 10 miles it’s like why you could be driving forever before you see a second mailbox oh yeah I pulled into a town one time uh we were driving across the first time I ever drove across the country we pulled into a town I it wasn’t a town we pulled into a gas station it was like there was just the first exit for like an hour and we needed gas we pulled in and it was this young girl maybe 20 years old 18 years old kind of a thing she’s sitting behind the counter she’s like chewing gum I said hey uh you know it was getting like late I said is there anything to like do around here you know we’re from out of town she goes hay I went what like she goes hay I’m like all right I don’t know what the [ __ ] that is I don’t know what you and she goes the town of Hayes about 40 miles of do dad ding ding and I said uh I said okay so there’s a town up there and she goes yeah we we said okay cool we’ll stop in Haze I pulled by Haze it was a church um it was like I swear to God man you know at the time it was like one road it had a church there was like a 7eleven is kind of Quicky Mark kind of a thing and there was a bunch of kids hanging out on bicycles in the parking lot of like what looked like a barbecue place I was like we’re not going to Haze god dude that’s really funny we my buddy sent me a a tweet the other day and it was comparing the Indiana Pacers uh tickets for like season tickets verse um the game seven price to go to the Knicks game in the garden and I think the cheapest seat in the garden was like 7 like five bucks or something like that and there was some tweet that said like that ticket price is more than the price to go to every single one of the Pacers home games for the year I was like so I’m doing the math I was like that’s like less than 15 bucks a ticket I was like that doesn’t that doesn’t math to me I feel like you got to be able to get that in and my buddy was like well you know it’s a little less busy than New York so could be like that I like could you imagine going to see any sporting event in New York like you might be able to get up like baseball tickets for like that cheap if you’re sitting in the bleachers or something yeah I’ll tell you speaking of bleachers I used to be a bleacher creature at Yankee Stadium man you guys ever do that I’ve never done it at uh the new Yankee stadium I did it like the old one fair I haven’t I haven’t even been to the new Yankee stadium uh but I used to I spent many a many uh many a many a drunk day in in the old Yankee Stadium let me tell you uh the bleachers were the [ __ ] man that that was that was nuts I went with a friend big uh big guy God Rest his soul uh Dan mcglinn um he was the fattest guy I knew and uh and he he wanted to go with us to the bleachers and he’s a huge sports fan but he wore and they were the Rangers were in the playoffs or whatever the put the Flyers and he decided to wear his Flyers jersey and we were pelted the entire game yeah dude I mean I swear at one point somebody threw a battery something hurt I mean it was pretzels and mustard and all that kind of [ __ ] we just weathered it but if something came like Ping I’m like oh that wasn’t good that was not good at all had no give to it yeah right yeah so you know we were stupid you know I and I went I should have said no I’m not sitting with you but I did Flyers jersey and the bleachers not good not a good idea everybody not wise um I see so we’ll get into the OTAs and stuff I just realized we did not talk about the schedule we talked about it last week before it dropped and then like literally an hour after it dropped o Tex greenb and I says yo my gu got the got the schedule here it is he’s like he was right last year like oh man oh man pretty close it was like oh like exactly the same minus like the Miami flip which was like the greatest thing I could have possibly happened to us was very happy to find out the next day that the Miami games were flipped but when we were on Just the Two of Us Ryan I said I’m gonna text my guy and see if he knows anything yet he didn’t and then it was like shortly therea I was literally I was about to go to bed I almost missed it it was like 11:30 at night and uh I got the text and I was like oh let me say and and the Boom the the schedule was there but how how about that talking Jets little inside sources feel D Matt blew Matt literally blew the doors open on their secret like so we see all these leaks they come from different angles this time it was the man right here on your screen everybody Matt o blew it open and he was right and I believe I maintain that they flipped that last game just to make him so they could say he wasn’t right it was the same team everything’s the same they just flipped it which is to our favor but I’m gonna tell you they panicked and they had to make something happen so Matt couldn’t nail it 100% but everything else was dead on Matt o we need to applaud him he’s the man that blew it open to the degree that I heard the Jets were not happy with Matt oer that’s what I heard I I also I was gonna say you took the words out of my mouth I I heard some Rumblings that there were some folks inside One jets Drive who was not not very happy with uh good old Matt now I wonder if they were upset with Brian Costello writing his article at four o’clock instead of waiting to eight but no just me because I’m the little peon who don’t know dick and I get this I get the story and everyone’s upset now come on how is that fair that’s right not but see the thing is is Matt is one of Long Island’s greatest Stars I heard too so that’s kind of you know they’re they’re realizing holy [ __ ] this matter Eerie guy uh we’re not even giving him any information and he somehow knows everything so uh yeah that’s why they’re mad cuz they didn’t control it they didn’t give it to you how did he get it they’re mad and I love it that was also very funny a a social media p Long Island Connection put out uh like they’re doing like famous hometowns and they didn’t technically get my hometown right but it’s a it’s semantics game I won’t get into it but it was like me a bunch of rappers Donovan Smith and like like just like again me like hanging out was like a sports analyst podcaster m is like I don’t deserve to be here but thank you for for recognizing what I do it means the world I love deserves it Ryan I think he absolutely deserves it I mean he broke more stuff than our beat broke normally it’s like shefer or like Rapaport no no no oh ly dropping his nuts on the rest of the beat love it right yeah and Al I see in the chat there’s like his Source got fired my source wasn’t from inside the building too that that’s as far I I’ll go the sour is not from inside the building so it’s not their own people they got to watch well maybe because I guess we got to get it from somewhere but it’s not like my guy didn’t get fired he’s still very much alive and and breathing Woody Johnson didn’t put the uh the old xn on him yet yeah well your Source lives in Hayes Kansas I heard he’s nice and middle of nowhere Church he’s in witness protection yeah he’s at that Quicky Mart right exactly hanging out with the kids on the bike oh look we won yeah we won Green Bean won and then talking Jets won look at this right rigged Dan rigged right on it Andrew that’s so good uh Crossfire got his hat in the mail and he emailed us and he’s just like oh he’s like it’s really cool fit is perfect he’s like if I could add one comment he’s like I wear my hat backwards maybe a logo on the back of it I was like maybe we’ll put the rigged emoji on the back of it just like a little oh that’s good’ be so good I don’t think could do it I think the embroidery would be too small to try and do it I I do agree with uh Crossfire though I’m a big backwards hat guy and I like like I have another hat there’s the NFL logo all my hats have like I actually look at that when I’m buying a hat I look at the back to see because I if it’s just green or just white or whatever it’s kind of benign you know I like to you know have that little something or other right there you see like everybody knows this is basically me saying H go [ __ ] yourself that’s what it I like that I’m not a big uh I don’t I don’t love like the hats with the hole in the back um I do it’s like I mean I tilt it far enough back where I don’t get burned on my head so like at least if it’s cooked it’s up on the the top part that’s thep a hat that I would wear backwards a little bit more my prefer a lot that looks a lot nicer but my head is so [ __ ] big I don’t really usually fit in those like Flex fit things I need like the the snap on like the last one Hanging On by a thread here [Laughter] I know I hear that’s well that’s the whole thing I mean but I’ll still do it but I’m with Ryan too I have had sunburn half circles on my forehead and that’s no fun dude it’s like embarassing gotta gotta put the sunscreen on your ears boys and girls don’t forget and and right it’s summer season so absolutely make sure you’re applying that sunblock it is not fun to uh to wake up cooked yeah you know what’s funny when I went to uh Florida last week so I I landed at 9:00 a.m. I’ll tell you a funny story real quick so I I landed at 9:00 a.m. and I got a no I landed at 8: am. so I’m like going to the rental car place it’s early in the morning and um and the guy at the rental car place is trying to upsell me a car right because so this is what he says he says I mean I feel like I might have told you this but if I did just stop me but he says uh you got a a midsize SUV right now you want something fatter I went fatter and he goes yeah you know you’re heading to Miami I said first of all I’m good with the fatness okay I’m all fatted up second of all bro I you know he’s like you going to the Keys you I’m like I’m not going to the Keys you really should go to the keys I said bro I lived here 16 years I’m going to visit somebody I don’t give a [ __ ] I need four wheels in an engine like that’s what I need you know um so I I my plan was to head to the beach and get like a like a couple hours of like peace and serenity stare at the ocean so I put the sunblock on my ears and I do the whole thing on the top of my feet and all that [ __ ] I’m there for 10 minutes in peace and then guess what rolls up two busloads of elementary school kids that are doing a beach cleanup no around now I love that they’re doing a beach cleanup I love it but they were literally surrounding me like all [ __ ] stabing and I was just sitting I sat there there for an hour trying to like I was like okay well this is my this is my big all right all right all right Jesus this is what you want for me today um so but anyway I didn’t get any peace but it was nice to see the kids engaged in the uh actively engaged in cleaning up the beach but uh yeah I definitely put the sunblock on my ears Ryan that was very important spf50 I was gonna say you also mentioned top of the feet that’s a big one there’s a lot of people that’ll put their feet I’m going to bury my feet in the sand it’ll be fine and then there’s like that top like little little bit of your foot that just beat red and then every time you put a sock on or a flipflop miserable got to leave your shoes untied walk on crumbs it’s terrible no between Ryan and I the two palest irish guys in the in the world it’s we we we need the SPF 15 minimum you gotta double you know double up it you go in the ocean you come out like I could probably use a second layer right about now I went to uh TBT remember Warp Tour I did a war in the parking lot at Jones Beach I’m putting on sunblock behind my ear I’m getting made fun of like I if I’m in if I’m standing in this parking lot for eight hours like I I’m going to pass away I need to sunblock every inch of my body that is exposed right now let me get the back of my ear and leave me alone if my screen saver is on too long I start to get a burn that’s what’s so bad I I have to apply sunblock before I come on stream that’s like the the level of like chaos that happens here on the uh the Irish side of my my my pinkness see I have just a touch just a touch of Portuguese that I burn like an Irishman but it’s because I am I’m Scottish and Irish predominantly but I have just a touch of Portuguese that I’ll burn but then very quickly therea it turns into like uh a t you know I mean like I’ll burn that then the rest of the summer I’m pretty good so I’m very grateful for that whoever the Portuguese guy was who jumped into The Fray and had some fun that night I’m really grateful for that fella my uh I used to lifeguard all the time and like my initial stint of lifeguarding was like okay Ryan’s going to get a like a bad burn and then he’s going to like tan and it’ll be fine the rest of Summer and that’s like a bad way to do that so probably equally is bad I started like tanning a few weeks leading up to like the start of lifeguarding season so I was like right I got a little little bit of a base coat it’s a controlled burn as you would say and then uh i’ try not to fry the rest of the year I had when I was doing track in high school I had I got beat red I was laying out on like near the high jump pit and like my whole scalp I had quarter inch like buzz cut the whole way through and I was peeling off flakes from my head with like the holes from where my hair was like it was just sliding off [ __ ] gross so so disgusting now all you guys have that mental image of me there you go having sunburn so you’re welcome uh Kuka Lake drops in let’s see if I can get this up on screen what am I doing I’m hitting the wrong button see as I start to do this and then I don’t know what the cake he’s probably complaining about it being rigged probably what did I do we got a white box up on the screen I’m sure you see that yeah I’m working on it I don’t know if it’s it’s like what’s her name it’s like an Allison thing might as well fwab tuab there she is let’s see if we could try it I’ll try it new one see this will go all right I’ll see if that pops up it may it may not it’s entirely possible I did not set this up correctly prior to the start of the stream Bo yeah I don’t know what happened I’ll play with that behind the scenes but uh kug Lake comes in says got my pillow and now all my characters cover their eyes when I enter the room especially Matt’s character at least you’re not using the pillow that’s like I don’t want to know what he does with that pillow we’ll leave that top it on to the other side at least when you do that yeah face us towards the couch right no matter what no matter how you slice it it’s still three monkeys cucul Lake oh geez Peter S comes in says Buffalo Jeet fan broke news earlier that Oliver was going to safety so JBC and stiggers can now uh now battling for cornerback five but that uh but what about Jaylen key now um I would imagine they’re happy having the most Talent on the field possible they have to worry about Mr Irrelevant maybe not making the team or something like that or sitting on the practice squad I can’t imagine that’s too big of an issue uh Matt what do you think of Peter comment here about Oliver going to safety and then the uh the other guys battling out for cornerback five yeah that was an interesting thing to to hear you know the Jets usually love that project once a year they’ll pick somebody one of their Corners usually it’s a draft pick not a free agent signing but uh they’ll pick one and go all right we’re GNA move you from corner to safety and be our fun project I thought quantz stiggers would be that for the Jets um this year but that’s not going to be the case so uh we’ll we’ll see I don’t know what to make of what that means for Jaylen key I think he probably has a hard time making this roster um you know there’s how many safeties are you going to carry are you carrying more than four you know like ashy Davis is locked in you already have uh you know Chuck Clark and Tony Adams locked in and now Isaiah Oliver probably at safety and also because of special teams are you going to carry a fifth I don’t know so we’ll see but maybe Jaylen key starts out as a practice squad guy they did it with coun last year their seventh round pick that they stashed on the practice squad they might do it again green me what about you what do you think of uh Peter’s comment talking about Oliver going to safety and then also JBC stiggers and key maybe battling it out for the cornerback positions well first congrats to Buffalo for breaking that news I mean I’m not sure if he was just the first of us kind of the jump on it or if he actually broke it killer uh that’s good [ __ ] right there um but what about jerck Bernard convers everybody wasn’t ER are Jason pinnick you know he was the next guy he was you know we used a Draft pick on that kid last year um I would hate to see us I mean look late round picks as you as you know we the term of late is Dart throws I don’t like to look at late round picks as Dart throws I like to I like to believe that they’re developmental players that can contribute um I thought jerck Bernard convers had an had an opportunity to do that if we like you said if we have Ashton Davis Tony Adams Chuck Clark they’re locked in whoever starts remains to be seen but they’re all locked in in my opinion um you bring in Jaylen key he’s Mr Irrelevant so he’s the last pick in the draft so every team passed on him at least seven times so you know there’s that but I’d like to believe that he has a shot to develop as well um but it’s like it’s getting crowded in there when you add Oliver you know um I liked Oliver the idea of Oliver being that backup nickel was attractive to me you know we don’t really I mean who else who else is there to really do that now I’m sure just because they have them penil in at of safety if we need them if something happens to Michael Carter uh thei I’m sure we can just feather him in it’s not an issue per se but I liked that like you know the you know uh having his reps concentrated on that role was a little bit more of what I was looking for uh for Isaiah Oliver I I also I look I don’t hate the idea of him being a safety but I hate the idea of not having that P that that kind of you know steady backup for the nickel position um but I I agree with you it’s a little bit crowded and I’d like to believe that some of the young guys the Converses and keys of the world have an opportunity to kind of be that fourth uh safety so I don’t know it it’s going to be interesting I mean how we’re starting OTAs and where it develops into mid training camp could be a lot different once we start seeing some uh you know some real reps and and and uh inter what do we call those um inter Squad practices inter Squad that’s word right so inter Squad practices and then obviously the pre-season games uh things can shake up things can move around but right now I do like that they’re kind of exploring things and if this team has done anything uh consistently it’s taking defensive backs making them linebackers moving them cornerback to safety and like that’s something they clearly do they started uh year one with Robert Salah it’s it’s just part of their makeup they like taking these positions and and kind of you know moving them around and and seeing where they can uh really fit in so I like that they’re exploring it I like uh you know giving them to the defensive back group you know those coaches I think we’ll figure it out so anyway I’d love to see him at nickel but if he hey if he ends up being a ball Hawking type of safety for us that that’s something we could use too so we’ll see sodak jets comes in with a $2 Super Chat thank you so much uh I’m not I don’t know if I’m going to be able to throw stuff up on screen today I think I have to update some uh stuff on my end to make it happen uh but he says extend JD not perfect but we have a Super Bowl team yeah look JD and Salah are both in the final years of their contract I would imagine uh you know maybe inside the building they’re thinking okay you know Joe Douglas has has you know shopped for the groceries we got some good ingredients to make this magical dish that we’re hoping is going to be in a bowl Super Bowl um but JD could he get extended first do you think we wait until we start seeing some winning and then they both get the contract extension uh Matt I’ll throw this one to you first what do you think about the contracts of Joe Douglas and Robert Salah both going into the final years of their deal yeah it’s rare to see a lame duck head coach or GM which is someone going into the final year of their deal usually they like a little bit more security than that I am happy with what Joe Douglas has done to put this team in a good spot but I don’t think it’s unfair to say I’d like to see some some wins first before we make any decisions on extending either one of these guys I know Joe Douglas is going to be in a little bit more popularity with the fan base for the off season that he’s had uh and probably deservingly so I thought he the Jets had a very good off season but I I think I would like to see some wins uh and some onfield success before I’m rewarding uh these guys with a new contract creenan what about you Salah Douglas both going to the final year of their deal you think one could get a contract before the other do you think we have to see success either way what’s the uh what’s the deal with them um I would like to see Joe Douglas secured you know I mean I I don’t know I mean there is the whole thing with their contracts being tied together and all that stuff but I believe that Joe I mean look at the roster man um the roster is there’s I mean it’s stacked you know so Joe Douglas has done his job I would like to see Joe Douglas given a a you know an extension I do think that it’s realistic to ponder the idea that he gets it first uh before uh Salah I think Salah is more tied to the results like if if if with this roster with Aaron Rogers at quarterback if we don’t make the playoffs Robert Sal’s done I mean I don’t know it depends on the Aaron Rogers piece but I think he’s more on the hot seat than than Joe Douglas so I could see JD getting the uh the extension first and kind of moving in that direction like hey dude we’re results oriented you uh you do your job you get extended uh and then wait to see what Robert Salah does yeah I think that’s the uh the way to do it green be I’m gonna boot you real quick just come back in it’s just uh I can hear we can hear you fine it’s just for whatever reason the visuals uh a little jacked up so he’ll join us back momentarily um I see Blitz crew comes in sorry about that as see Blitz crew comes in with Super Chat he says JBC should be healthy now and has a high Rass he has potential hopefully he shows out key is a practice squad guy until he proves otherwise yeah I mean obviously I want to see what we have in JBC cuz he was on the team last year you got to think there’s a little more education that has has gone in over the course of a season you know even though he wasn’t really like a a factor this past year um any thoughts on JBC at all Matt yeah that was a weird one last year right obviously injuries I think played a big factor for him he didn’t really get much run but he feels like a forgotten guy from that last draft class I don’t have crazy high expectations I kind of kind yeah I kind of just kind of want to wait and see what he does in training camp and if he gets a look in the preseason and kind of take it from there uh but again like I don’t know he didn’t really it seemed like a strange draft pick at the time and then he didn’t really do a whole lot that first year I’m not out on him but I’m kind of I always find myself going oh yeah I forget I forget Jer Bernard convers was here green mean what about you what do you think about JBC um let me see the comment here so he says he’s healthy yeah I mean I look I thought I agree with what Matt said at the end there um you know it was kind of a draft pick that none of us were really you know that that’s not what we were thinking at that spot uh like is said he had a high ra he has a high RZ he was kind of banged up you know so we I think he you know somewhat red shirted uh last year but I mean I think he’s got potential like legit potential to develop even if it’s special teams and and depth and at first um I’d love to see him you know kind of utilized I mean he’s a he’s an athletic guy um and uh I don’t know I I think it it’s just it’s an interesting one where I think most Jets fans don’t really you know when you bring them up they’re like oh yeah like that guy he just you know he did little so I’d like to see him get an opportunity this this training camp and preseason uh let’s see we got hype is in the chat hype says Rogers press conference was eye openening I like What He pointed out performance is key to coming back next year and Robert Salah in offensive meetings um so I actually I did not watch the the interviews from earlier today so I’m a little bit out of the loop on some of this stuff but based on that that super chat um Rogers knowing it’s tied to the success of this team is is nice and then Robert Salah having a hand in the offense I think is important as well it’s something that we didn’t feel like we had and maybe he’s like another adult in the room we heard rumors was last week that the Jets were trying to bring in an offensive coach ahead of Nathaniel Hackett so they could kind of neuter him from like a play calling perspective U Matt what are your thoughts on on what Rogers said today what Salah said today and maybe how the dynamic between the coaching staff and their success could lead to you know more more success on the field yeah I think so a couple things with this one first Rogers I think said it right when he kind of inferred like hey it’s put up or shut up time like if we don’t have success none of us are going to be here next year which I agree with I think you know again we could like all the different things that uh you know the organization has done to put themselves in this spot but eventually if you’re not winning games you’re not going to just keep getting extended on on Merit if it’s not showing uh and with with Robert Salah getting more involved in the offense I saw some people look at that as a negative like he’s a defensive coach what is like what’s that going to really do and I think that’s a really shortsighted way of looking at it if you want to look at any negative it’s that it’s taken this long for him to get involved because I think the biggest thing with some of the Jets coaches in you know recent memory a lot of them defensive minded you look at like Rex Ryan and man Genie and Todd B some of their biggest downfalls was because they weren’t involved enough in the offense and instead kind of focused just too much on their defense and they had a really good defense but the offense was just lacking in certain spots I think that’s usually the issue for These Guys these coordinators who become head coaches they they never really find that balance of you know adjusting and getting more involved in special teams in the other side of the ball and I think it’s about time for for Salah I think it’s a good thing that he is more involved yeah I think the uh you said it right too where it’s like oh what he’s defensive coach like what is it what does that necessarily mean it’s he knows exactly how he would attack certain offenses like hey how are you going to line up well hey I would tell my guys to mirror this or I would tell them to to shift their alignment to the left or to the right depending on what’s going on I think there’s a lot of insight into a top three defense and how they could attack what we’re hoping is going to be a really Elite offense this season uh green bean what were your thoughts on Robert salz uh you know hand inside the offensive room and then also Rogers uh acknowledging that they need to win this year well I’ll tell you what um even if his input in the offense is simple is as simple as we got an injured guy we got two injured offensive linemen over there why the [ __ ] are you running that way you know what I mean like even if it’s just that like snap out of it you like that kind of a thing just having that control like no more we got two starters over here I want you running that way um you know behind the strength of the offensive line um I think that’s going to be you know the impact will be immeasurable you mean we just it just seems sometimes like we’re lost in the sauce and that our offensive coordinators while I liked Mike laflor and his schematics better than pet thus far they both did that it seemed like laflor even they just kind of had a game plan you know set up and they weren’t going to deviate no matter what the defense presented or what injuries happened or you know what happened in the game you want a guy that can adjust and morph as the game goes on and so if Salah can just identify like look dude you’ve been doing the same thing for three drives you know run run pass whatever it might be like it’s time to change it up here’s what I want that’s going to be enough of of an impact not leaving these guys on their Island they’re like they’re just kind of doing their thing and they’re just you know they’re not paying attention they’re not figuring it out and he can step in and and help alter that or demand that it’s altered uh I think is going to be beneficial Robert Solin knows like you know he’s coming to the end of his tether and like letting hacket just kind of control his Destiny I think that’s that’s not the way to go man you don’t put that much faith in anyone you know you have control you are the boss you have control over this situation and standing there all stoic like on the sideline uh just you know doing nothing while hacket ruins your career I just don’t think that’s wise so I like the idea that he’s getting back into it um so yeah I’m in favor of it man I think it’s the smart thing to do and I think like you look at a Harbaugh down there for the Ravens he’s involved in every aspect of the game yes his his coordinators are running it but if there’s an issue he’s right in there man and that’s the way it should be you know parcel’s was that way uh belich was you know was even that way it’s it’s the way you got to do it you know it’s your team so it’s not like you know Adam gase oh Greg Williams is the head coach of the def no he’s not he’s the defensive coordinator you are the head coach so getting away from that [ __ ] we’ve always have these coaches that just don’t want anything to do with the other side of the ball um salah’s defense is intact ALB and and the rest they’re fine you know um and you can have your input there but the offense is what needs it so I think it’s a good idea he injects his uh his opinion from time to time Greg gag comes in what’s up gag says uh how about Malachi Corley persuading Aaron Rodgers to let him stay with Rogers for the offseason until he gave in this kid shows me a little something yeah look hey motivation this guy is highly motivated even after he catches the ball and he’s just going to absolutely bulldoze people I think if there’s one player that I’m looking to absolutely truck someone this year I think Malachi Corley is probably it and uh I’m really excited to see what he has to offer now I want to I want to flip this question a little bit Greg um but I want to ask you green bean I’ll throw it to you first Malachi Corley to my knowledge still has not signed his rookie contract do you think there is a reason for that I have my thoughts um but I’ll let you guys speak first and I’ll I’ll tell you my stuff on the other side um I don’t know usually it’s that you know it’s that kind of you know that it’s the offset language kind of thing it’s that realm so I don’t really I I wouldn’t have any strong opinions one way or the other I’m not concerned about it you know um I don’t know I mean I would defer to your thoughts I don’t really to me it’s just a matter of time it’s not if it’s when so again it’s not really something that I that’s on my radar as a concern um so I don’t know maybe I’m kind of a little bit indifferent on this one Matt what do you think why isn’t Corley signing and I guess what does it mean it’s the offset language green bean nailed it he’s Afra they’re afraid if he gets caught he’s not going to get the guaranteed money and uh remember some some fool I won’t name any names uh hints uh he was throwing a football into trash cans was talking about offset language ah come on they’re not going to have to move off a two quarterback you know in the middle of their rookie contracts back to back what are the chances of that old takes exposed uh yeah sometimes it matters for these things but I’m not worried about Malachi Corley yet if we get to the middle of July and he’s missing practices then it’s a little bit more of a bigger deal but for now I don’t think it’s anything big yeah you guys hit the nail on the head it’s definitely that offset language but I would also throw in you know it’s it’s weird that it’s not our first overall pick or or not first round pick but I think that’s because Olu fashanu is seen more as like I don’t want to say a replacement player or like a fill-in player or something like that he’s not necessarily dialed in to like start right away where Corley I would argue of all our draft picks right now is probably the most important one to the starting unit right now uh and I think that’s probably his little bit of Leverage with the team it’s hey you know I want uh to to have it my way because you guys need me right now like I could come in later on into training camp and not lose any money but you need the chemistry right now because you’re trying to win right now Olu is going to have time to slow roll and figure it all out um I think maybe I don’t know if I don’t think it’s necessarily Corley that’s doing this but I think his agency realizes that’s the position the Jets are currently in right now um especially with Mike Williams injury not going to be 100% uh by the start of training camp well that’s just mean yeah I agree mean and nasty mean comma nasty uh hype comes in sorry guys man my voice is jacked tonight uh Roger said Salah is implementing new ideas that will definitely be used it is a must-watch I remember bellich put Brady in all defensive meetings I mean honestly it’s like it’s a really good thing to understand what the other side is trying to do to you like I’m a big proponent of uh so in my line of work we have so I was running a golf course for the last six years and we’d have all these different positions you’d have Pro Shop you’d have uh card attendance you’d have range attendance you’d have player assistants or Rangers out on the course you’d have starters and there’s everyone like has their job like you try to pull a range kid off the range to work the Pro Shop he’s not going to know how to check someone in you you have the the uh you know AR a cart kid try to start uh groups for the tea times and everything he may not understand what’s going on but what we started doing was cross training everyone and having that type of awareness so it’s like hey you’re going to work the range guess what you’re going to learn how to do pro shop first and I may not use you in the Pro Shop at all but you’re going to understand what these people are doing when they first get to the course so that way they’re you know they’re here’s the Spiel that we give them as far as hey driving range is back there this is uh where you can get uh certain information this is where you can find different things and that way it makes you more helpful knowledgeable guest same thing at one of the other Resorts I worked at very much delivering information to guests is important because then they do what you want them to do in the way you want them to do it and I feel like sports and and um a lot of Ventures are very similar in that respect like you listen to some Hall of Fame players you’ll hear them say like yeah you know I watched you know defensive players or I I like I keyed in on these different things or talk to these guys pick their heads like how would you go after me as you know even SAU and Garrett going back and forth in Camp the last two years like there it’s that iron sharpens iron kind of mentality and having as much information on what the other side’s trying to do to you is just as valuable as what you’re trying to do to them uh green bean any thoughts on that little chess match that goes on between players and teams and whatnot um let me admit something too you weren’t listening I wasn’t I kind of rambled a lot it not being able to put comments on the screen is a little little frustrated right now because I can’t just have it’s not your fault was that the last Super Chat yeah that was from hype okay I’m more so just talking he’s talking about how uh belich put Brady in the defensive meetings and I was just saying how in my line of work it was beneficial to put people in other uh positions so they understood what was trying to happen to them or what was going to happen to them so in sports what’s your thoughts on that yeah I mean I do that all the time as well um in in my line of work I I cross you know we cross Trin people for a potential backup for perspective all those kinds of things um I think it’s a good thing I mean look you got to be careful because there can be some overstepping right you just want you want fluidity you know and you want all the angles to be covered like so when let’s say hypothetically the defense is talking this that the other thing and then you know Aaron Rogers is in there or whatever and just says like well have you considered this because here’s what they’re going to look at with you you know kind of a thing here’s what they’re going to think that can be incredibly beneficial um but again you have to just make sure that the that the group isn’t feeling some sort of way like you know we have the you know somebody coming in here and kind of steamrolling as long as it’s managed properly I think it’s I think it’s the way to go I mean everything should be unified you know we should be using all of the resources at our disposal and it’s like it’s like you remember Mike mden wouldn’t let the coaches talk to his scouts because he didn’t want the coaches desires to impact his Scouts work and it’s like that’s absurd like it should be unified and and we see that now uh with the Joe Douglas regime like they’re all in on it there’re you know they want to know what the coaches uh think and you know how they feel about certain players and what they you know their needs are and all that kind of stuff um and then ultimately it’s Joe Douglas’s decision of course and he defers to his you know his team of of uh you know administrative folks but it’s important to get all that input and to have that kind of you know that that unified front so to speak you know nobody should be excluded and again if it’s not a steamroll job like aam Rogers comes in and the coaches just you know bow and defer Aaron Rogers is here we’re not going to say like you don’t want to see that at the same time Robert Salah uh Aaron roders whoever else can be beneficial and the same thing goes for the defense like by the way um you guys have a tell and every time you do this we would know instantly exactly what we know it’s a screen we’re going to sniff it out we know it’s a naked bootle we’re going to sniff it out it’s not going to work and here’s why that shit’s incredibly positive uh to you know to get that other side’s opinion so I’m in favor of it man truly it was pretty cool when I was back in high school the coaches were watching tape on an upcoming opponent and uh they saw one of the guards like uh shift his feet ever so slightly pre- snap like you know kind of get on the balls of his feet and we knew when that was going to happen he like okay it’s a run like it’s just it’s what’s going to happen and so we just start yelling things that started with r so you know Rambo Rambo Rambo you know trying to get everyone on the same page and then like they started to catch on like as soon as he did it with everyone saying it they’re like oh you know second half they started mixing it up on us but yeah it’s those little cues that you can pick up on at any point and that gives you that little bit of a you know tip of knowledge Matt what are your thoughts on uh you know maybe cross trining positional players in in other rooms and whatnot I think it’s smart uh back before mat was a content creator I ran a College radio station and I was trying to my goal was to train these kids to get them as ready to go into the industry as humanly possible and we’d get people who would be like I just only want to be on air or I just only want to be behind the scenes and I would have to explain well like you’re much more valuable if you go hey I’m on air I here’s my demo tape but I also know how to edit audio or I’ve ran the social media page so I could do so like being versatile is so so impactful in the workplace but it’s also really impactful for these NFL guys and for you know uh for Salah in general yes he’s a defensive coach we all know that that’s his strength but these guys know defenses and he could look at the Jets offense and go if I was a coordinator for another team what would I do to stop them or combat them and then it kind of just makes you better with this collaborative effort the worst the absolute worst of it with the Jets was when it was Adam gase and uh Greg Williams as the essentially the head coach the defense and the head coach of the offense that was awful that was a terrible plan whoever whatever [ __ ] came up with that idea that they’re gonna have two separate head coaches essentially was an absolute imbecile uh thank you Christopher Johnson um but like that’s the like that plan can’t work it needs to be a collaborative effort everyone has to be on the same page here and I think that goes you know to push goes forward to push that goal of everyone being on the same page it’s good to know what other roles job is so that everyone knows what’s happening on each thing I yeah concur completely agree well and at the same time it’s like I all that is 100% accurate and at the end of the day one person has the decision that’s it it can’t be you remember like uh you know like you said Christopher Johnson with his you know we have head coaches and the head coach in GM report to me is everybody’s on eco everybody’s the same around here the uh the defensive backs coach is the same level as a defensive coordinat it’s like no there needs to be a hierarchical structure and at the end of the day somebody has final decisionmaking power so the the the head coach of the defense thing doesn’t make any sense uh Rex Ryan even though he was the head coach he kind of did that with the offense with either shoten Heimer um Tony Spano and uh Marty Morwick like he just deferred to them he just left it he left it to where it is um and uh you know and then you know we obviously saw the head coach and GM being on the same plane that’s another uh situation it just doesn’t work like the GM is the boss of the head coach but on the field the play and everything the GM shouldn’t be stepping in in the middle of the game and saying run this plate all what are you doing no it’s the head coach he sinks or swims and he decides but at the same time having that kind of cross collaboration with everybody so everybody can be in in you know as much of the know as possible is vital and the best teams are fluid and we have not been we’ve been we’ve been fighting against ourselves what they say a house uh divided against itself cannot stand and that’s been the Jets for uh 60 years you know doesn’t work I saw some comments in the chat earlier um asking us what game we’re going to go to this year on the jet schedule they have thrown us for a little bit of a loop with so many Prime Time games and Thursday night games the home opener being on a Thursday what the hell are they thinking that is absolutely absurd um so our initial plan was to try and go to the home opener for uh our group buy and everything like that now that’s it’s on a Thursday we’re definitely not going to do that um it sounds like you know we’re going to try for the bronos game if possible I mean it’s going to got to kind of wait and see uh they haven’t sent out the group by preference sheet yet and where we are in order of like selecting stuff but we’re hoping for the Bronco game because then it’s 1 P 1 p.m. it’s the only 1M game until December for the Jets at home which is bananas that’s absolutely insane absolutely crazy did you guys know I talked about this in our in my podcast this week but did you guys know that you know we’re there are jets fans that complain about the schedule like hello and then there are jets fans that tell me I’m a whiny [ __ ] uh for complaining about the schedule but I want to point something out this is the first time since the 1970 merger that a team has had six Prime Time games before you know in the first 11 weeks it’s the first time that a team has had seven Standalone games period uh so this is an historically difficult schedule now not necessarily the teams were playing and the you know strength of schedule but as far as what the NFL did to us this is this has not been seen ever since the AFL and NFL have joined forces to make one league so I want to point that out to all you [ __ ] who keep dming me telling me I’m a [ __ ] um uh so I I’m not wrong okay now yes we gotta go out just just shut up man the Jets gotta perform I understand I get it I’m I’m there and I’m I’m I’m with and by the time we get you know closer I’m gonna be like we’re gonna dominate the Niners I don’t give a [ __ ] about 10 you know three games in 10 days which by the way that three games in 10 days isn’t the only time that that [ __ ] happens it happens again in October where we play three games in 11 days so it’s just it’s a very difficult schedule and the NFL uh uh uh planning scheduling committee came out and said it flat out we felt the Jets owed us the [ __ ] do we owe you how can we possibly owe you because you got presumptuous and took a perpetually losing team and stuck him out front before they did a damn thing you stuck us on Hard Knocks you stuck us on opening day Monday night yeah that’s your fault we haven’t done [ __ ] we’re the only team in the league that hasn’t been in the playoffs in 13 years man how about you give us a concession or two maybe three Prime Time games throughout the whole season maybe that’s a little bit more appropriate than than six in the first 11 weeks and we’re flying to London by the way to do that one so again this is the first time that this has happened since 1970s so I want everybody to make sure that they know that it’s not just you know uh I’m in my feels no if this looks odd to you it’s because it’s odd it’s never happened before so they’re making it as difficult as they possibly can and the fact that we have one one PM game which is just so sad to me uh hopefully I become a millionaire and don’t need to work uh anymore by the by September I got lots of logs and lots of fires we’ll see we’ll see if any of them blow up and make me a a millionaire and we can just get a box and I’ll invite everybody Jay-Z Jets fan Blitz crew you’re all coming to the Box we’ll see if that happens uh but other than that it’s going to be miserable Monday for the till December you know what I mean so yeah I hope we get that Denver game too Ryan because it’s going to be real hard to pull off uh getting up there for Thursday we’ll do it if we gota but [ __ ] is that g to be hard not even to mention uh and Matt I I’ll get your thoughts in just a second but that last game of the season the Miami January game is a flex game so that could be a Prime Time game might have eight Standalone games by the time this is all said and done spoiler that game’s going to be for the division week 18 you know that’s gonna be Cincinnati 2009 getting flexed to the eight o’clock slot on Sunday Night Football you know that one’s coming down the pike uh there there are a few people on this Earth that make me laugh the way green bean does when he gets going it is just truly something remarkable but I I agree I I I’m not a I’m a somay want to clock CBS the whole thing like that’s it that’s that’s a football to me I’m not anti- prime time but I don’t like get overloaded maybe like three times a year so it feels special for maybe three weeks so it feels special right yeah it’s not special six times in that’s like ah [ __ ] I gotta you know another another one this week where we’re staying up late come on man we got to do Post games after this we’re going to bed at like 3 o’clock in the morning after these games yeah the one thing I will say is I’m going to watch significantly more football this year cuz I usually like if we’re a one o00 game I don’t watch the 4:00 games I’m going to miss part of the 7:00 game because they’re doing like content and stuff so that’s kind of nice but the other thing I don’t like is uh the I was hoping to expose Shay and ren to a little bit of football this year and Jets football at that bedtime 7 o’clock like so all you dads out there that have younger kids sorry your kids aren’t watching Jet football this year it’s like that part’s kind of frustrating not going to lie yeah you want to to sit him down on the couch at 1:00 and say let’s eat some you know your little baby you say let’s here’s how you eat wings right has started doing the jet chant yet but she like she’ll go Jets Jets Jets like she’ll do that I don’t get the Jets we haven’t really done our ABCs yet um right she can’t spell yet she don’t know what the hell that is that’s going to be the first word she can spell it’s going to be great she’s saying Jets Jets Jets and when she see she sees the jet light on up here or if I’m wearing like a jet shirt or something she’ll point to goes football like that’s right smartest kid time right baby let’s go this is Football let’s go H so yeah we’re trying to get that Denver game that’s that’s going to be the goal uh first and foremost get the one o00 spot be able to go down on the field after the game that’s the play I think uh Blitz crew says I think the uh that last game with the fin will be a boring game for us we will be resting up our starters with the first seed already locked up says Blitz crew so that’s like an interesting dilemma right not so much the the first seed I if you have the first seed by all means if you want to rest your guys give them two weeks rest or whatever I feel like that’s I don’t love having that long a time off but it does set up an interesting conversation for the final game of the season Matt if the Jets are locked in to a let’s say a particular seed we’ve wrapped up the division division’s you know all in and we’re we don’t have the first round by we’re we’re we are definitely playing the following week would you rather our Starters play and eliminate the Dolphins from playoff contention or would you rather us rest starters and AC kind of like accidentally allow the fins into the playoffs we’ll say were not playing them the first week of the the playoffs because you would know that I guess but like the same way the Jets backed into the 2009 playoffs with the Colts like you know resting starters and whatnot do you think how would you handle it if that were the situation going into week 18 I don’t care about the Miami Dolphin situation I only care about the jet situation and if they have things locked up I don’t want to injure my very veteran heavy team that has probably gotten banged up throughout the the part of the year so I would I’m good with playing a half right like that the game against the Colts was i p Manning played the first half of that game and then they went to Curtis Painter after that in the second half yeah maybe that’s when we see uh Jordan Travis second half debut or or something but um I I get it it’s cool to be like oh yeah we knocked our Rivals out but I really I care more about set the Jets up for success in the playoffs and I think being healthy is the number one thing that is going to be the make or break for this team so I want to ensure Health greenan what about you you get to week 18 Jets have locked in their for seed they’re three seed or whatever but the Dolphins need to win to get into the playoffs are you trying to knock them out or are you you know more concerned with maybe the health on a veteran roster what’s your your thought process I say that our depth is so good that we just run our twos out there and beat the living [ __ ] out of them that’s what I say but the thing is the Dolphins can get in the playoffs all they want they don’t win 24 years go ahead hang out come on to the party they’re going to fall in their face it’s what they do uh but if I had to choose like Matt said perfectly I mean you’re you know the health of the team and setting ourselves up for um as much potential success as possible that’s the order of the day and that’s what a real uh head coach would do you know you it’s it doesn’t matter yes it’d be nice to knock them out and all that sort of stuff but uh doesn’t matter now if they beat the living hell out of us uh two weeks and you know or well that would be the I guess well it doesn’t matter I guess um yeah I would just say it it’s all about the Jets and you know knocking them out is is is secondary uh at best when you’re talking about if we’re in the playoffs and we have the opportunity to rest starters uh that that’s going to be the order of the day in my opinion I think for me I’m somewhere between that I kind of like what Matt was saying with the the Colts and how they handled it vers us is you let the starters play the first half or at least feel comfortable where you you go out and you’re executing your your offense you’re doing what you need to do I think some of it may hinge on how competitive that first game is in week 14 like if it’s like a like a blood bath like guys are getting chippy and like there’s like a lot of John then maybe I I I’d lean more on resting starters and not not having to worry about it I do like seeing a lot of depth guys come in but I would very much like to to knock out a division rival now maybe the other side of this coin is like you don’t care because if you have to play Miami they are coming to metti if you wind up winning the the uh the East and maybe Miami can knock out another team that might cause some hurdles for us I don’t know it’s kind of like there’s a lot of layers to it um I love that they’re coming up in January they haven’t beaten a winning team in sub 45 degree weather the entire time that McDaniels has been there so I’m hoping that uh that Trend follow suit this year I very much would lean on brillan Allen and uh Davis to to try and you know get uh get the win via the ground game I think beat him up if you if you’re gonna win you’re have to make a billion tackles in this game and our big boys are just going to run over you how about that make it the the as safe as you possibly can just keep running it down their throat and then if you can you know maybe that’s like hey Olu you’re going to get some starting snaps this game this is where it finally happen because Tyron Smith’s been healthy the whole time now like let’s say there’s the crazy situation and hype brings it up here he says we are playing starters in week 17 he means week 18 for 17 and0 uh if the Jets had an undefeated season on the line I would go for it I would 100% go for it because that’s that’s one thing that you could steal from the Dolphins by beating them the final game of the season and if you could wind up winning the Super Bowl and going 20 and0 you you do it exactly to Tom Brady too so I if if there is some situation where you are finding yourself at like 16 and0 heading into week 18 yes I am going all for it I’m trying to get that record uh Matt does that change your thought process if it gets to that point that’s definitely different uh that’s an extra layer that wasn’t included in the original um I mean that’s a great problem to have I’m sure we can talk about that in January if we get there in May that sounds a little crazy to be like oh they’re gonna arrest their starters because they’re gonna be 17 and0 or 16 and0 at that point I would love for that to be the case I hope we have this heated debate on this show and on Jet’s Twitter in January when you have half the group being like no you got to prep and then the other like no you got to play and go for the go for the record so uh right now I I lean go for it why not make history I love it green bean you’re knocking the Dolphins off their Throne well as you guys remember maybe I was all about it last year and lasted four plays on play five I was like I’m gonna I’m gonna adjust my uh my prediction slightly um uh yeah dude I mean uh like I get it everybody tries to be objective and all that and I have no issue with that I’m not throwing any Stones go I think we’ll be 12 wins 11 wins 13 whatever it is that’s fine I like to believe that we’re going to go 20 and0 all the way to the bowl until it’s proven otherwise and when we wi when we lose one you know it’s 16 and one or whatever the hell how many games we play 17 17 no for the season you know so I I just like to do that I like to put positivity into the ether when I can uh during the season I I yell things like IAL Oben zad uh you know I root for [ __ ] players I think I have a 1% chance of success you know what I mean because they’re wearing a Jets helmet you know uh so I’m all about that I would I think it’s the most appropriate thing in the world that the Jets end up being the team to go down there and smack that damn champagne out of their hands um the only concern I have is that it’s going to take so long that they’re all going to be dead and nobody gives a [ __ ] like I want people to care you know what I mean I don’t care if there’s one more guy toasting his glass go go give me that that’s what I want to see I want to see it while they’re still uh alive these guys are not getting any younger um we’re losing him every year or you know every so often uh not to minimize death of course or to trivialize it but I would like it to happen and I think guys we have a team you know it obviously it’s going to depend on health that’s been our Bugaboo uh and Zach and Sam and all the and Bryce Petty and uh Gino right right right uh so but our our real Bugaboo has been I mean even last year you know the fact that we saw Zach was because of injury so Health has been the the real rub if we can stay largely healthy throughout the season I think that we have as much chance as anyone to do exactly that because the strength of schedule is tilted in our favor like you know even the teams like the bills I was talking you know Sal’s in the um you know uh in the in the uh comments being a grumpkin and and they talking about the bills and and he’s right you know the the bills are the division champs until proven otherwise but that’s fine in theory but every season’s a new season and the bills happen to lose approxim just under 50% of their offense in the off season they replaced those guys with in my opinion solid players we don’t know what Keon Coleman’s going to be but um you know uh Samuel’s a nice player but he’s not Diggs you know so they also lost Mitch moris top five Center they lost Hyde and puyer and and all kinds of so they’re a different team they’re going through somewhat of a shuffling so the idea that they’re vulnerable isn’t far-fetched so I think this is the kind of year where we’re poised excuse me to take some real good Rocky you know right Hooks and left Hooks and knock some dudes out so um being excited I I don’t think is a uh it’s not it’s not a it’s not ridiculous it’s not unrealistic to be excited I’m sorry about that hype I just saw your uh I missed your super chat a good team and they can beat us and and all that stuff but we can beat them too and we’ve proven it uh the the past two years um you know talking about soft gonna dude saw I’m not worried about Keon a breath of fresh air after playing the Super Bowl ners um I I could see that being uh a game that the Jets I don’t think we’re going to but I could see it I can see it to being a game that Slips Away mine is I’m going to go with uh the Minnesota game or well in London but reason being if the Jets win week one which I have that one as a loss against the 49ers but it’s not impossible for the Jets to win I could totally see them being like 4-0 and then kind of just looking ahead to the week after where you’re playing the bills and like that’s the team that’s owned the division the last few years and I think it could be a trap game now what’s helping is I think the Vikings quarterbacks room isn’t very good but those London games are weird like that could be like a 176 like a late field goal wins and you just leave the game and you’re like what the hell was that and you’re like that was weird and then just go out and you beat Buffalo and you’re right back on track but Minnesota is also a sneaky one where I could see like everyone expecting the Jets win that one and it’s like a weird low-scoring defensive game and they come back late or something so the Jets are favored in 14 of their 17 games so I guess any of the ones were in theory supposed to win could be a you know a loss Texans I think are are going to be a good team I think there’s going to be a little bit more tape on strad but we didn’t play them at full strength last year neither us nor them um the other team that I was thinking of and it’s one that I I I had the comment on Matt’s tweet last week and it was about the uh the Cardinals Kyler Murray running around you know the running style quarterback does tend to give this defense some trouble and Kyler removed I think is going to look a lot closer to that 2021 version of the Cardinals than the 2022 or the 2023 version um but I don’t know I for me I think the Steelers Sunday Night Football when Everyone’s Watching like that could be one that we end up dropping that we shouldn’t be dropping uh jets for Life comes with the Super Chat says Aaron roders today sounds blunt to the point and angry he has something to prove exactly where we want him I love him and then there was the other one of uh he he uh he’s dressed up as or I guess it’s not him but it’s like a jet superhero and he holds a sign up that says I do my own research which is clearly a notd at at Rogers um the league has made fun of him like the media has made fun of him this dude is angry it’s going to be a wild season and I cannot wait for it uh green bean any thoughts on how Rogers may play with him being as ticked off as he appears to be well this is the kind of Rogers we like you know we’ve seen it uh a few times in his career uh he seems to he’s look he’s he presents as a peace loving guy he goes and does his spiritual stuff he goes in darkness Retreats he’s you know he’s kind of mellow but we know that he’s motivated by being slighted you know and uh you know the most recent is when you know he’s a starting quarterback for the Packers and they go ahead instead of getting him a weapon to help him succeed they trade up in the first round to draft his replacement and he responded by doing two back-to-back MVP Seasons uh and in my opinion uh and I think I don’t think it’s really opinion uh in the championship game you know he was betrayed by the defense it was the defense it wasn’t the offense that failed you know he played perfectly um so you know it’s one of those things where now he comes here last year I think he was motivated enough to kind of you know the Packers didn’t want him and all that kind of stuff this year he’s got that plus you know everybody kind of writing him off he’s old he’s the Achilles he’s this he’s that the other thing uh I think that he’s driven and that’s the exact version of Aaron roders that we want we want him to be pissed we want him to sh to to want to make people pay and that’s what we’re seeing and it’s the best case scenario for the Jets I’m I’m uh I’m incredibly excited about I want Aaron Rogers to be very unhappy that’s what I want until he’s until the end when he’s happy oh your thoughts on I love I love that green bean brought up the the defense betraying him in that championship game because I listen to just an absolutely horrific take from a uh a pundit we’ll say I won’t even give them the courtesy of their name but they were talking about Rogers not playing well recently in the playoffs and the quote was in that championship game against Tampa Bay didn’t play well well I was like hold on didn’t he actually outplay Brady in the answer is yes Brady had three picks in that game but Aaron roders lost going for 346 yards three touchdowns and a pick and a 101.6 quarterback rating he lost because his defense and more specifically his number two Corner kept getting cooked all game long 31- 26 and somehow like Rogers gets the The Narrative that he can’t win the big game or his coach completely mismanaging uh the clock at the end of that game but it’s Roger who shoulders the blame for it and as green bean just said and as what you said earlier please continue to doubt Aaron Rogers please keep piling on all these things and tell him he can’t do this or he can’t do that however you feel about him off the field what he says on the podcast like whatever right but on when in football the guy just thrives off of people doubting him and saying you can’t do that and more more often than not he’s right and proves people wrong Chris Pratt comes in says green bean I’m Portuguese too hell down the offensive line uh Jeremy and Nick shine are more of our like our interior beef but we need some athleticism at tackle to take on some of the speed guys so I I need someone who’s strong but can move so that’s why I came up with those two guys I was going to say Prime Time definitely not real big like he’s very he’s definitely strong but like height-wise I think he’s closer to my height he’s like a 5 Nish range yeah so he might get beat by some of the lanky guys but I think he makes up for it with his pure strength it’s offensive line I think was the hardest one to to complete specifically tackles go on you go Nick shine lost the toe this year I don’t know if this is a good move left how did he lose the toe did he did he misplace it was ited yeah at the bank some he walked in with the toe walked out forgot his toe but my my scouting report for Nick shine was big fella up front has nastiness to his game and he does yeah you know uh all right who for jets chaos I had uh doesn’t move well could be a liability in pass Pro but should do some damage in the Run game DC was has the size and intelligence you want at Center did not know at the time uh and then I already talked about uh Prime Time and his strength at quarterback jet Central Cool com collected has the face to be a face of the franchise type of guy that was no brainer to me jet Central in there nyj Matt at running back I don’t know if he’s fast but if he’s as crafty as if he’s as crafty a runner as he is at his tweets I think we’re in good spot yeah uh the wide receiver room I went with Joe caparoso of bad lands he was a D3 wide receiver so I figured that he would have good hands nyj Mike has good size and I’m sure he’s caught about a thousand passes in the parking lot I metti and then I went uh Richie Jets media in the slot is all smaller and slender but I feel like he’s got some sneaky speed so get him the ball in space and let him do yards after the catch and then I put myself at tight end because I’m uh too slow to play wide receiver but I have size that’s so this lines up like almost identically to what we had we had Ian at quarterback I don’t know if we had I think we had Richie as one of the wide receivers but I think it was like one of those two ways like cornerback wide receiver we had you at tight end for the same reason we’re like really tall I’ve seen your 40 tape though too slow not official surprising not an official 4340 that that was was uh staged uh but I I like the rest of this I think this is really good we didn’t we had no idea where to go on the tackles that’s kind of where we fell yeah that was hard yeah that was really hard to do the tackles green bean any thoughts on the offensive side of this uh Creator puzzle yeah I think we better have some depth behind chaos he’s not gonna make it dude yeah he’s gonna stop have to stop for a canoli at halftime yeah after the first quarter he’s going to be real feisty for a bit but then it’s canoli time that’s so good Matt I think the quarterbacks a slam dunk too man I think Jed Central’s got it locked down let’s go through the defensive side of stuff now Matt all right so uh will Parkinson as Edge one he played tight end in college so I feel like I really snubbed him by putting myself at tight end over him but I need that athleticism and pure strength strength on the edge I feel like we need his IQ on the defensive side of the ball obviously has really good size and speed uh and then I had Buffalo jet lining up opposite of him we were talking about guys who are bigger than we think Buffalo when we met him at the home opener a couple years ago was bigger than I thought he would be so immediately popped in my head also I think he does jiujitsu and I feel like that’s going to come in handy in on the defensive line uh interior our guy green bean I mean look at the picture he looks like just the one bar face mask across the front mean nasty going to grind his way to seven sacks be great against the Run uh and playing next to our guy uh Tyson who is also coming from a fighting background I said that is perfect for my defensive line so going with some athleticism and some dogs in the middle of that defensive line what what do we think of that so far before we get to the next level oh I love it I absolutely love I like it feels good to me I I feel like I have support around me cuz clearly I’m going to be all pro level uh it’s nice to have support uh quality uh uh uh uh companions on the on the front there uh I’m excited about that defensive line I think it’s got a lot of potential oi I think we had Tyson as our we had him as a runner in some capacity I don’t know if it was like secondary but like the the the endurance that we see him put on was was a key trait for us totally totally fair at linebacker I figured like who is the who are just strong and smart and guys and I went with gunny with the military background he’s got the size for it also and Joe B it with the football IQ we know he knows how to tackle I think yeah that to me was the the no-brainer my Lineback and Duo that’s like the Mosley and Williams of this team I I think I’m the most confident in that duo I think we had blue it as running back last night it was like yo I’ve seen this dude body guys I was like this is going to be awesome so linebacker makes perfect damn sense on the defensive side uh for The Corner Room I went with you Ryan I went with too and I went with jigan Porto uh and I’ll explain my reason one your track background was very attractive to try to get on the offensive side of the ball but I was struggling on the defense coming up with names I was like I need speed to keep up with the wide receiver so I said all right we’ll put Ryan on defense too wants a very good quarterback before Matt Milano ended his career but I feel like with his size he kind of just put him in the slot and he’ll be like our our physical slot Corner that’ll be jamming receivers at the line or something silly uh and jig man Porto like I I think he’s got like that s Garder build he’s got a little you know tall skinny to him um so I I I think and we we needed some help on the back end there as well and then put in Sabo at strong safety Wy vet he was a former safety in his playing days and Michael Michael Nan gives off lanky ball Hawking free safety Vibes to me I don’t know why but that’s the feel that I got those are exactly where we put those two last night too we’re like yo safeties you know they got the the NFL IQ Nan is sneaky quick too I’ve seen him run and catch passes in the parking lot with BL it um so definitely fast and Sabo makes a ton of sense there too green bean your thoughts on the defensive side of the ball oh man we’re stacked as long as gunny’s running around patrolling that middle section of the field as a linebacker I feel real confident about what we got there um I just don’t like how uh you know Ryan gets two spots I think that’s I mean we didn’t get there yet but I’m I’m feeling some sort of way I think a defensive tackle uh should get considered for a kick returner uh rules you our Cleco that was that was Matt’s comment that was my I not not too bad at it um but pretty funny good stuff Matt uh green bean your thoughts on the Special Teams unit here aside from me beating your ass in kick returns uh boy green as the Long Snapper tickles me in a way that very few things can I think that’s just wonderful they’re not allowed to hit which is like a good thing like sizewise like boy Green’s not the tallest dude in the world so like being able to not get hit I feel like is important low center of gravity throw it back as far as you can and get out of the way just stand dudes up you know what I mean that’s all he’s got to do you snap that ball and stand dude up from your low center of gravity uh yeah I feel good I think Jake is a Wy uh he’ll f know he’ll uh he’ll know how to place that punt in the corner of the you know in you know in the F you know between the five and the and the goal and the goal line uh I think that we can trust him and uh Ryan for all of my discontent that it’s not me I have every confidence that Ryan would be an amazing Return Man for for our for our content creator team here I think we would absolutely dominate any other team’s content creators one because we could actually fill out a roster cuz I don’t know if there’s many of all the other ones but like I don’t I don’t know if I’ve seen I feel like bad dogs probably like pretty like you know cut like I feel like it would hurt to get hit by him I know Mario up at uh hashtag Sports he used to play football he’s a little bit older now though but he’s got the build he would be a he’d be their starting linebacker and be like you don’t want to take a shot from over the middle of the field no for sure trying to think other guys that might be intimidating any other content guys that you guys could think of any team across the league I don’t really I don’t talk to too many like NFC guys it’s really I kind of live in the like the East that’s kind of it yeah I don’t know too many dudes but it’s been a rough year sodak Jets comes in says if expanded green bean is the GM that leads us to Glory so green beans had a bunch of uh bunch of picks over the years that were like I can’t believe this guy hasn’t taken yet and then he goes on to either some other team and shows out or the Jets take you know Bryce Hall in the fifth sixth round whatever round that was and then we’re pleasantly surprised because we thought he was gonna be a fourth round pick so that would make a lot of sense yeah yeah I’m just say look clearly you know some of it’s in just right like I don’t know the inner workings I don’t know anybody’s phone number I can’t call the Chiefs make a trade I’m like anybody got uh anybody’s [ __ ] phone number around here you’re right you know I’m looking at oi and Ryan and DC and I was like so we got to get some we got to make sure we feather in some pros but I do I mean if you look at my 20 years of draft Yeah for lack of a better word analysis uh and picks dude we would have won some bowls I’m to end free agent signings by the way too I could I could get it all done um the truth is is we pay attention we know what we’re looking at we’re not in danger of over complicating it we’re simple folk we know what the hell’s going on and the Jets don’t know more than what’s go then the people up here as the famous line goes obviously the Jets know more no they don’t they might know more details they might know the guy’s [ __ ] mother’s name or whatever but don’t matter if we would have run this team we would not be the Jets that we know and I am a firm believer in that dude every year it’s like and I don’t know if it’s like the majority of fan bases in general like there’s there’s certain players that I find popping up in other teams mock drafts that are similar particularly outside of the first round like there’s players that that other teams kind of or other fans fall in love with because of different storylines whether it’s like you know I heard brayan Allen’s name a good amount from other teams I heard uh you know God I don’t know I’m trying to think of someone like Ro Roman Wilson was a very popular name this past off season like you can kind of key in on certain names that pop up over and over and over again in mock drafts and you’re just like wow for whatever reason the consensus seems to be right and whatever teams pass on the player always seem to be wrong and it feels like our jets are on the losing end of that more than uh more than like I see Tom uh grai could be a wide receiver for us he seems like a pretty tall dude I could see that I don’t know what Brandon Perna could do but he’s funny as [ __ ] and I would love to have him on our football team in some capacity if uh if he could be like crazy guy yelling at things that’s cool too I like that you need need backups got it got plenty of guys who would be the hacket of the content creator team who would be the OC is that what you’re asking yeah No One’s Gonna Be Bad everyone’s gonna be really good at their job yeah no everyone’s everyone’s Rock Solid hack it we potentially almost like replaced him or tried to according to Connor Hughes oi any thoughts on I guess hacket in general and like us not Aaron Rogers making making adjustments and you know what like a part of me is a little nervous about Nathaniel Hackett coming back but as long as Aaron Rogers is under Center I I think it’s going to um but I I like it I’m a big big fan of our special teams for where we’re at right now Matt any thoughts on uh I guess the the kicking situation and just like if you wanted to lose games like a bad
