two through the round robin okay I’m [Music] quiet Get Ready Get Ready and good evening or good afternoon I should say everybody welcome back inside the Valley Health and Wellness Center Noah vogle Alec Murray with you this is going to be an excellent hockey game we have a sideline reporter down along the glass Noah we’re going to skip to him before we come back to us to preview this one Christian Simmons down along ice level Christian take it away thanks Alec I’m here it’s team British Columbia and team Ontario for game number two of our semi-final affairs this afternoon and if you’re team British Columbia you’re walking into this one one and two through the round robin one of those two losses coming to team Ontario earlier this week and it was a huge performance from Matteo pazari and Mitchell Garrett in this round robin that really helped them get here and on the other side of Center if your team Ontario you’re looking to keep the ball rolling 20 and one through the round robin tyan Martin had a huge performance from the back end contributing three points from the blue line and of course in between the pipes it’s Mr Corbin Watson who’s been fantastic all tournament showing us once again why he’s the starting goenda and it’s all on the line here it doesn’t get much better than this team British Columbia and team Ontario as we get ready for puck drop we’ll send it back up to Alec and Noah thanks Christian and exactly right Noah we talked about it earlier in the last game and it’s going to be a battle of the goenda uh grel obviously very good for Quebec as well but these two have seen a very very large amount of shots they’ve been there and they’re the reason a lot of their teams are are still in this and we saw them in day one Noah it was a 2-1 game it was really tight Mitchell Garrett really his coming out party was against that team Montera who just pelted him with shots nonstop they couldn’t find anything by him he was excellent and then the other end kind of vice versa team Ontario in Quebec yesterday it was Corbin Watson who stole the show the kid had 32 shots only allowed two goals he was spectacular or one goal sorry well and that’s why they were on that team Canada team who won the worlds last weekend and we’re going to expect just the same from them they’ve been showstoppers so far for both of these teams just able to keep them in games and especially for this BC side Mitchell Garrett has been incredible all weekend long and Corbin Watson’s going to do the same in goal for team Ontario it’s really going to see which team can really find anything offensively get pucks to the net get bodies in front just anything that can you know hinder them in goal to try and put some traffic in on in front and for me the first goal of this game is really going to set the tone who can ever get it going offensively early is going to have that momentum going in forward for the rest of this game but it’s going to be a tough match for BC certainly the underdog coming into this game but definitely not down and out as we get underway well for BC they have to get their offense going and that’s going to be big for them if they can find some offense then they will be all right because like we said earlier Noah they really realistically only need a couple of goals and they should feel pretty strong about their effort here because they have one of the best golender in net and Mitchell Garrett but that being said Corbin Watson is uh is right along with Garrett and again the two Team Canada net minders uh going head-to-head here once again Teo a place for the gold medal game that goes tomorrow at 11:30 the winner of this what to punch that first ticket our next game here this afternoon Noah will decide who they will play between Alberta and Quebec and that goes back to our first game of the tournament where uh kebec L A Beat Down on Alberta 5 nothing so you know Alberta has a little bit of Revenge on them uh that they want to get here uh this afternoon a thing to note as well for team Ontario you see with the puck right now Sam Swafford who scored a goal in that game against British Columbia in the round robin was injured late in that last game didn’t play the third period looked like possibly a concussion he’s back in today this is going to be a high level game and we’re underway here in poor Colour thanks for joining us Alec Murray Noah vogle with you on the call as always this weekend we’re getting down to it one of two in the semi-finals as it’ll be played back to the point held in by British Columbia titmarsh drops it off ayic try to get that one to war the net could not it’ll be settled down by Teo after it down to the corner trying to dig that puck free Harrington couldn’t get to it around to the far side there is the hero from yesterday Hy Clemens and again we talked about how Ontario really struggled against Quebec but it really seemed like they were down and out of it all game long their go tender held them in it and Aubrey Clement right at the tail end of period number three in the Skirmish outside of the crease was able to find it and bury it past Alexander gll and that game ended in a one- one tie well and for Quebec as well hadn’t even conceded a goal until late in that third period pretty much nine and a bit pardon me eight and a bit unscored periods against them and it was Aubrey Clemens who just found herself in the crease and was able to punch that one in and give Ontario that really really really late tie which we talked about earlier maybe not as deserving as it should have been because they were down and out in that game and were really kept in by their goal tending of Corbin Watson a cynical pick it up on the near [Applause] side that one’s going to be picked off Martin does he have enough juice Martin spun off the puck had a turn back for it almost a partial break on the near side as B seal sent it back up at Center BC wearing their purple uniforms here this afternoon Teo and their white and [Music] green it’ll be played out in front of the goal and turned aside [Applause] Martin we’ll flip it up at Center Dustin River on the far board tied up and it’ll be fired down into the zone out to play it is Mitchell Garrett he’ll fire it around to the far boards up top to the point there’s a shot coming through blockdale front trying to clear the Zone they will as that puckle Bobble down the ice as back for it with speed is Arrington Harrington gets it back in his own Zone he’ll drop it off bags around to the far side boards up at Center it’ll be turned back the other way BC able to get back for it one thing this BC team is very good at noise defensively as well and we give their go sending a lot of credit but they are very good on the back end uh forwards they struggled in this tournament but again their defense is very very good down on their own Zone yeah and a key Defender for British Columbia is Brendan Hurst in the back he’s been instrumental it’s a big save early on for the net minder Watson who dives down and he’s able to find that loose Puck and cover up some rough stuff after the whistle but there’s Watson again that’s the first really good save we’ve seen in this hockey game first good chance of the game for both sides and it’s uh Matel pazari moving in and he’s we talked about him at length he’s been the guy for BC on offense in this tournament yeah him and before that chance happened who I was talking about Brendan Hurst in the back end he’s a bit of an offensive defenseman he’s very solid in the back end but also likes to create chances on the front end and pazari who has two goals already in this tournament is going to be dangerous for team Ontario and certainly got to key in on Martin working up on that Far Side he’s spun off the puck good job on the back end pazari once again work it up on the near side just missing Mapes [Applause] battle for it on the near side Clement’s into battle trying to squeak that puck free Martin down there as [Music] well Colton Martin able to dig that puck free still back to that near side we’re scoreless just underway 5 minutes gone here in perod number one semi-final day chance to advance to the gold medal game Tim morelo missed it as it’s back out at Center it’ll be turned up ice by BC back out front and able to come back and pick that puck up is bags Gavin bags works it up torello to the far side pazari back for PC he’ll drop it off back for his captain and it’ll be fired up by Peggy I’m going go down the ice and that will be icing on British columia and we mentioned the cool family connections on each team and Patrick and Peggy as you see Peggy right there she’s wearing the C for this BC team brother and sister on a British Columbia squad on the other end team Ontario of course Colton and tan Martin the brothers for team o face off will be one along the near side ports BC throw it Frank wide that one tipped right right off the Stick of Ben mes and it’s out at Center bags off the far boards but turn back the other way pazari at Center stoa runs it stoas soy runs into him then it’ll be played to the near side team Ontario want to jump on it on the near board Floyd BS that puck in deep around to the far board they’ll play it back up top of that one picked up by mes Cal’s got to hurry back as kazari right on him they’ll play it up at Center that puckle go the length of the ice they’re going to wave off icing as will continue play Le Bros back for it side around and out as calt unable to hold it but right back at Center bags trying to get away from his check in heartley topping Far Side maybe has a break topping taken to the ice as he was run into speed back for it is Jake Hilman almost a to many player call coming against BC it was rard who was trying to get a change and having to close the door in front of him as a player was exiting the team BC bench as the puck was sliding just in front into the Z Martin just under his stick [Applause] [Applause] back down the ice is Floyd back for team onario plays it around the boards but it’s h him in the back end Hurst lets it Fly turn aside by the net M Watson taing we play it off the board back to the point bang hit as that’s Haley HCK and not ready to throw a body very physical player for this team Ontario Squad and we’ve seen it Al turnament long as it’s play back down to the zone and BC’s got to get onside she loves to get into the game on the physicality side and just you know put some pressure in on the for check and we saw that one in the open Ice hit defensively to sort that puck out she’s just very good at using her body to her advantage and laying some contact on the position Cal turned the other way back in the neutral zone BC trying to make changes but they came with that puck right there as it’s picked up by team Ontario Harrington tied up at Center has that puck logs under his sled coming in trying to free a tip March now a ho Gathering up at Center and that puck logs under Harrington and we’ll get a whistle on a face off in the neutral zone 631 to go here in Period one of semi-final one here at the a championships here in Port curn winner to the gold medal game tomorrow morning at 11:30 to face the winner of our next game between Quebec and Alberta after that we’ll have the B final New Brunswick and Manitoba to follow at seven tonight second of four games on tap for the day play around down low it’ll be settled down by CL she’s hammered in behind the net as she’s slow to get back up that puck will be flipped up at Center and down the ice thr back to The Far Side Calvert in on it Calver leaves it tarell couldn’t get to it a rolling puckle settled down team Ontario into the Zone Calver tried to lay a big body check but he got the worst of it as Ben mes will throw it up on the far side now race for it Riley molar after it good J on the back end is speeding back is gathered bags and this game going much like we anticipated thus far scoreless game here late in the first period BC up top they’ll slide it across just under the Stick of mes and realistically BC’s had the better start of my opinion they have they’re really the only team who’s gotten a couple shots on that another good look from the point but team Ontario they’ve had some Zone entry but not a lot of looks on Mitchell Garrett in goal and really are just on their heels to start this first period and going to need to step it up in the latter half of this Frame it’ll be played to the near side boards down inside the demo Zone BC will fire it back in they’ll say that puck was tipped icings waved up and there is pazari after it again he had that crazy attempt last night and almost pulled it off uh the Michigan move has become more and more popular through ice hockey in the last couple of years really ever since uh you know a couple of highkey profile players started to pull it off and I’ve never seen one in Sledge We Almost saw one yesterday yeah it was an incredible piece of scale and pelari was just inches away from finding the top Corner as he was saved by the iron but you know it’s cool to see just you know the technical ability not only athletically that these Sledge players have and just so creative when they have the puck it’s one thing to do it with a a stick and it’s another thing to do it while sitting down trying to keep your momentum around the back of the net with a couple of sticks in your hand so again impressive it just shows the skill of all these players this weekend at this tournament as it’ll be played up at Center could be a break here for team montario Floyd into the Zone a couple on gets hit hard knocked off the puck but Martin right back on it for team Ontario centering pass looking for voy great play on the back end coming across to break that up was Andy Le brose Ontario holds the Zone back to the point just out of the reach of the backend defenseman as it’ll be out at Center Martin coils back with it he’ll Loft it into the near side corner and Ontario back in on the rush Floyd getting beat up on this shift got another big hit from Xander Harley on the near side here they come in Martin holds fires off the glove of the net minor back out front and that one off the far side post well there’s Mitchell Garrett’s first big save of this one as that one hit off his glove look like the top of his mask and in behind the goal and Ontario now starting to push here late in this first period with under three to go first good chance for team Ontario and it comes from tyan Martin who again is just able to find some space from the point get a shot off and a good save from Garrett but that rebound was sitting on the far post for Ryan Floyd we’re going to get an offside story we’re going to get an offside call continue yeah and you know Ryan Floyd already a goal in this tournament he had a really really nice Breakaway yesterday against team Alberta but this one just coming off the mask and you can see see near the end of that clip Floyd had a chance for it on the back door just unable to get it in front and a good shift for team Ontario in their forwards starting to create a little more offense late in this first it’s going to be a hand pass down after the face off so we’ll do it again 2:30 to go here first period your two needed to 2024 National parah Hockey Championships here in Port curn we’re getting down to the games that matter the most now semifinals day here on a Saturday happy long weekend everybody tuned in whether you’re tuned in uh on the per website or whether you’re tuned in on CBC on YouTube we appreciate it as it’s down in along the far side boards there’s a shot coming through turned aside by Watson played in behind the goal it’ll be settled down by Swafford trying to get out of his Zone going up along the far boards Calver runs into a pair of BC forwards Here Comes British Columbia but that one’s picked up tamber trying to feed it out front and Clemens couldn’t get to it turn back the other way and that one right on and Corbin Watson makes the save on tit Marsh and he’ll hang on with a minute 43 to go on a face off deep inside Ontario terrets are in this has been a very very evenly matched first frame that one looked like it was maybe going a little bit high but no chances as walks will CL it down yeah it’s been really back and forth the shot total is very even so far in this first period and again just some loose pucks that have been slipping out BC given some chances on the offensive end that time match by Watson that one whistled High the net is that one from Patrick cin High big hit on the far side port battle for that loose Puck you know credit to BC for coming out we’ve talked about their struggles on offense throughout this tournament and maybe this is in my opinion this is probably their best start yeah for sure they struggled to start up early you know in that game against Alberta where they were able to make that comeback win they were down for over 40 minutes in that game after that kovich goal late in the first period and were able to come back with two goals in the third in the last three to win that game but so far they’re just looking like the better team offensively oh that one just out of the reach of Sword was on the side quter as there’s River with a hit on sord under minute to go 40 seconds as team Ontario will poke it free to the near side corner on it is Hillman for BC and he will Lo that puck down icing on British columia with 2 7.5 ticks to go here in Period one of a scoreless game and this one’s got Vibes to the first game these two teams played in day one of this tournament yeah and what we expected a goenda they’ve been solid so far in this first period nothing really to show for grade A chances for either teams but you know heading into the first intermission both teams you know just in this big game not trying to force too many opportunities make any mistakes I think in the second period we’ll see a little bit more pressure offensively and maybe the game open up a little bit 15 seconds to go onio back in their own Zone par side pass off the boards and up at Center it’ll be knocked back as tamell couldn’t get to it and looks like this play will die in the neutral zone as a couple of BC players Collide that will do it for period number one here in the first semifinal of this 2024 national parah hockey championships the go is living up to the expectation this game exactly what we thought it would be right off the bat scoreless after the first period of Play Noah quick thoughts on that first well very evenly match and what we knew was going to happen going in scoreless so far for the first period both goalies as you see on your screen Mitchell Garrett for British Columbia have been excellent Corbin Watson for team Ontario and coming out in the second period you’ll want to see either team maybe push a little bit more players forward to try and create some chances in transition but for now we’ll stick at a scoreless first period and yeah go ahead Al I was just going to say as we wrap up things here after 20 a little bit of a technical difficulty there for a moment as Noah disappeared but we will wrap it up after the first period scoreless here in Port colr at the 2024 National perah Hockey Championships Quebec and team Ontario or sorry BC and team Ontario with a chance to play in the gold medal game tomorrow we’ll be back for period two are you ready for this ready digital technology we place students at the center of all that we do we are Niagara [Music] College baby [Music] I say the strength of the program is just this variety whether you’re looking to go radio television or film there’s always something for everyone and even inside those specific streams there there’s anything you could possibly want you could direct you could do audio you can tape cables down if that’s what you like there’s always something for everyone this program not only prepared me with the vast skills of editing television production the foundations I really need but I think it really really provided me with a strong work ethic in order to complete programs deadlines you know with live television specifically is one of those things where you know you don’t have opportunities to to take breaks it’s really that that Foundation to to what the real world is like in the world of Television the program does an amazing job of preparing us for real life um Hands-On cameras Hands-On like you’re in a real radio station um through 3 years that’s massive um and a lot of programs don’t offer that but the first day you’re in NC you’re in the labs you’re you’re on the radio you’re you’re touching Electronics you’re touching microphones um you’re getting to know all the technology um and it’s great they really prepare you for that real life scenario right so as soon as you step out the door of FY um you can go work at a radio station you can go work at a news station and know what to expect cuz you you’ve been there before I love the facilities that we get to work in I love that I get to you know sit in this Radio Lab and look at these boards and like be in the industry every day I come to school I really feel immersed in my education I find I find the teachers here are very helpful they uh they do care about everything they do they always try to push you in the right way to do better um and as long as you put some kind of effort into your work and show that you care they will be behind you and support you to make sure you succeed I love my teachers um I think that they are like the driving force of this program I think they care about each student so much I think one of the big things that I take away from from the col college is really about the staff the the the instructors the professors that work here they really care about the students and and their success and I think that really resonated for me when I was here and also when I left here which is one of the reasons why you know I like to come back and kind of give back to the students that are here now um we’ve had a ton of different opportunities and great opportunities for example Canada games I had my an opportunity to uh do some play-by-play for that for baseball and volleyball so that was a pretty cool opportunity for for me as well as uh doing the college sports games I do a lot of play-by-play for that um volleyball basketball so that’s a really good opportunity um some of the opportunities that I’ve got being part of the program the one-1 and that Ball’s ripped into right center field that’ll get down and that’s going to get past the right fielder and roll all the way to the wall rounding third base is McDonald he’ll score it’s a double NBC just like that is within one force turnover here’s Stewart hero step to the basket reverse count underway Noah vogle I’m Alec Murray with you on the call all weekend long we’re here we’re scoreless we thought it would be scoreless after uh goals hard to come by in this game Noah BC Ontario as we take a look at the first period and the goenda in that first frame Noah well two spectacular golender we see some of these saves here from Corbin Watson and also on the other side for Mitchell Garrett just able to get in front of everything so far in this first period but also a little bit physical we see that hit from Swafford there on River just getting a little chippy these teams have seen each other already which team Ontario won that game very very closely and it’s close heading into the second period two and three seats nose to nose here scoreless period two and we are just about set here in Port curn wait for that clock to take down double zeros we’ll send it back up and here we go kbec and Alberto lingering as they’ll play after this one and team BC and honestly I was very impressed with BC how they came out in that first period I said it at the end no for a team that struggled offense and to have offensive zone time I thought BC maybe played one of their best periods of the tournament yeah I think they look better offensively and were able to really control team Mont In Their Own Zone and didn’t really get any strong opportunities you saw some of those replays where Mitchell Garrett was able to make some big stops but really just keeping them away from the middle has done them wonders so far as team Ontario really you know takes advantage of those chances those High a scoring chances they get but for now it’s a scoreless game and it’s really because BC has been playing so well defensively tell you what Corbin Watson not playing really well in between the pipes but maybe has the best design in this tournament as well that’s a cool closeup of his of his team Canada mass that we just saw look good play good that’s what they say right and Watson has done both here in this tournament thus far as it’ll be sent down torello tur it on the Jets trying to get down there but able to get back in time Dustin rivert River will ring it around the near side boards it’ll be held in by Clement out front boid Oh shot it wide good job coming back ayic threw him off stride it was tough trying to get it to his right-handed stick but on the left trying to scoop that one over top of Garrett and didn’t really get all of it here’s another shot coming through that one’s going to be turned aside by Garrett as well it’ll be played off the boards and out at Center BC but Calver will Circle back in his own Zone and turn it up ice kver leaves for Clement up at Center loose Puck Captain tarello has it on the near side Floyd trying to get a jump he’ll have it down inside the near Corner Floyd has it tied up under his sled as it’ll be thrown to war the net turned aside by Garrett Garrett was really busy in that first game when these two teams met Ontario looking to put that same pressure on him working his way out Mar there’s a shot whistled high back to the point calber crashing the boards to hold the Zone back down low tip Marsh scrum for that loose Pucket comes back to the point able to hold it Calver Ops it back down low topping trying to Center intercepted by tip Marsh River now trying to flip it out of of the Zone big open Ice hit Martin and fires along the ice turned aside by [Applause] Garrett Garrett just able to get that pad down in time as that shot a low heat seeker and it he picked up by BC can’t get it out of the Zone thought he had it with him but it played to the near side corner back down in on it to as stopa now down low for Floyd great look down there in the corner C Floyd in a battle for it with stopa hurly down there for BC as [Applause] well trying to free that puck up they do back up top to the point topping high slot a shot intercepted Floyd now will fire one just wide and BC back on Zone here is just weathering this Ontario storm to start this F or this second period Noah and this is looking much more like the team Ontario offense we’re used to seeing just getting pucks on goal and holding the offensive zone yeah well with the Martin defensive line here they’re able to keep that puck in the offensive area of BC and now a chance the other way for British Columbia here comes bazari back up top just High rebound came back out front but it’s set one wi there he is again Matel pazari making that one happen molar had a chance up top and he sent it high here’s molar get inside of the goal cook get it to his backand PC answering kosari in fires High well both teams have had the same Puck walk in the fact that they can’t seem to hit the N of this period and it’ll be settled down and Colton Martin we’ll bring it up and out Martin through Center topping into the Zone centering in and Swafford just set it wide as he was knocked off good job getting back in time was Hurst this pace has been very very good the first 5 minutes of this second period in a scoreless semifinal game starting to open up now players trying to make those extra movements to get more bodies in on these chances around to The Far Side held in shot coming through blocked right into the sled of B Mapes and he will clear it out at Center Calbert back he’ll drop it off Ontario working back into the Zone here’s Swafford sord weaving his way into the BC Zone maybe has a step Swafford centering pass out front out of man and could not connect with ver Bur Mard out of his own Zone drops it back for Hurst playing up on the near side boards there’s ayic after it Asic LS it up but ran right into his mes turn back the other way team montario on a race for the near side big time hit along the boards physicality also starting to pick up what a pace we’re playing at here in this second period picked up down low in that corner trying to take that punk free Swafford centering pass by ayic all the way back to the point it’ll be held in by [Applause] rivert mags trying to get off his man down in that corner trying to free it up Harley doing a good job down low as the official in there to Mak sure that puck is still loose it’ll squeak free up top but to the wrong color jersey Ontario P bang it off the near boards and out at Center so Ontario with a rush then BC with a rush and then Ontario back the other way now BC coming back seesaw action here in Period Two River has it down low tied up in the near corner [Music] oh play it off the boards and up around the near side and that puck will be picked up by team Ontario and here they come through center backs with the puck into the BC Z they’ll go back out at Center it’ll be picked off he throw it to the far side and Harley he’s hit by tarell hard into the board BC picks it up here they come into the Zone bazari spot and just unable to get that shot off and it’ll be sent down the ice icing is wav off as back with speed is Brennan Hurst look out big hit on that far side boards as going in hard was Clemens able to get that puck free to the near side up top bazari Le flipped off the boards and out at Center Martin back for it he’ll sling it back the other way Martin a jab at it but it’s held in here goes pelari again pelari oneon-one with Martin cuts to the middle pazari Elane holds fires just High look like Corbin Watson got a piece of it BC threatening again did so well to move over to that near side post and just get big in front of pelari and able to get just enough to send that one over top of the net probably the best chance we’ve seen so far in this second period back now the ice it goes it’ll be tapped aside by the goer Garrett up along on the near side as BC will be turned right back down into their own Zone as pazar is going to go back forther around to the far boards mes able to pick it up he’ll feed it up top Miss Miss in that stick but BC able to get out at Center Ontario quickly turning it back the other way with [Music] Clen commin couldn’t get to it back down the ice it goes look count as the official takes a hard fall down in the zone able to get right back up we’ve already seen one linesman get hit in this tournament almost a second one there Harrington down after that Collision with the referee just inside his Zone he’s slow to get up yeah we got to hurt team Mar teral player and it’s Harrington you’re right just now to his sled and he’ll slowly make his way back to the Teo bench and he’s in obvious pain and we’ll get the trainer over there to take a look at Harrington meanwhile team BC trying to get it out of Their Own Zone up out front BC will settle it down and there’s a big hit on that far side yeah there’s six players on the ice for team Ontario and the team Ontario fans were Asic was parked right in the crease and now will play four on four and then teamont Terio will go to the power play you could see that Collision just near the front of your screen and as cynic was just trying to get his body parked in front of Watson to create some traffic in the crease and in doing so bumps into the team Ontario net minder so like you said four on four for about 24 seconds and then now flip side a power play for team Ontario to come just a good look at Watson and this face off will come all the way down at the other end and both coenders equally tasked and once again we remain scoreless and what we thought and now are seeing is going to be a low-scoring game here Ontario will win the draw it’ll be back in for Martin in the near Corner Martin keeps control lots of ice up top bags fires it back down low bounces back out front had to be careful tamborello now tamborello stops and spins on the near side corner out of the box quickly and into the play and now it’s a this second period of a scoreless game well tamborella was just trying to win that race to the puck and I think trying to spin around he was looking to keep himself upright and got his hands wrapped around pazari just across the blue line and can’t do that so back to the box is a team Ontario player and BC will go back on the power play after this 10 seconds of four on four face off down inside there’ll be a battle in behind the BC net as British Columbia will start out of Their Own Zone 30 seconds to go maybe they can put one Rush here together in this second period what a game we’ve got on our hands here in Port Colbert and teimo able to spin it back down the ice with 20 seconds to go 40 seconds to go on the B play rivered back for it there’s a shot it’ll be snapped down by the net minder and that will pretty much do it for period number one or period number two here in Port [Applause] curn and up at Center and that will bring an end to period number two here in Port curn at the 2024 national parah hockey championships as this semifinal number one we knew it was going to be a good game it has lived up to the hype thus far and a goaling battle at that Noah thoughts well the pace picked up a little bit more in that second period some great a scoring chances on both end pelari had a couple on Corbin Watson where he came up empty but now still 25 seconds will be team BC on the power play heading into the third period And I really think whoever gets the first goal will pretty much decide this game both of these golender are very very hard to beat and even just to get one past them is a big feat in this game but for now it’s still tied at 0 heading into the second intermission well and it’s been a great battle thus far both teams through two periods of Play Noah excellent excellent hockey and again that second period was maybe one of the best paced second periods maybe one of the best paced periods we’ve seen as you’re up to us in the broadcast Booth here in Port curn one of the best paced periods we’ve seen this tournament between those two teams yeah and another thing to note is the physicality really picked up and we saw that too many player penalty which almost cost it team Ontario as team BC looked pretty strong on that power play they’ll still have 25 seconds heading into the third period but discipline’s going to be key in this third period don’t want to give either of these teams a player Advantage cuz it could end up hurting them absolutely and it’ll be a 25 second power play when we come back into period number three for team British Columbia but hey BC has looked like a totally different team offensively in this one thus far that could maybe be problematic for team Ontario who needs to find their footing on offense both golender playing excellent here in this one to the third period we go will it be the last period in this game possibly because now we’re into overtime and possibly shootout if we can’t decide a winner in going to send it down to our uh sideline supporter Christian Simmons on thoughts on that second period Christian take it away yeah like just a really high paced period from both teams both teams really finding their way through the neutral zones and both goenda periods they showed up to play this afternoon Mitchell Garrett maybe looking for a little bit more help from his defensive crew seven failed breakouts in that second period team Ontario’s for check was Guns of Blazing in that second period right up in their face and that’s something British Columbia definitely looking to improve upon in this period both teams got the arms gone at the end of that second period and it’s opening up the ice for what should be the best period of the tournament as we get ready for puck drop here in the third and it’s a great point the look back at this second period and again save upon save up save what a pace we played at Noah in that second frame and it’s it’s showing here on this this replay pack here yeah the physicality picked up an immense amount and chances for both sides that one ayic was on the back door off the bounce off the back wall and almost able to put the first one in for BC and of course Matteo pazari has got to get in on the action he was very dangerous in that second frame and Watson was able to shut him down but overall I thought team BC had the better of the chances in that second frame but the man who you see on your screen right now Corbin Watson has been up to the task so far and again British Columbia is going to be on the power play for 25 seconds entering this third period a little bit of a chance for them to get some offense on the player advantage absolutely as we take a look at Mitchell Garrett both outstanding thus far as we get set 20 seconds away from Puck chop in Period number three and0 if we’re at any type of the pace we were at in the second period we’re tuned in for an excellent hockey game we will play extra time if we need it but we’ve got 15 minutes now in the third period to see if somebody can get one by and honestly Noah we said it earlier one goal might just be all you need and I think it will both of these teams are just trying to get that first one break the deadlock and you know if that does happen it’s really going to open up this game because the team who falls short will have to you know put some more pressure in turns it over coming out front unable to get a shot off and it’ll be team Ontario with it out of the Zone could be a two-on-one for team Ontario here’s Floyd Floyd has sto with them Floyd and fires glove down and held on by Mitchell Garrett so the BC net minder comes up with the biggest save of period three and we will stay scoreless with a face off deep inside BC territory and a good job on the defensive end by Dustin River for BC able to kind of stroll Ryan Floyd away from the center of the Ned and had stopa on the other side couldn’t get that pass across after a good defensive play by the BC Defender big Collision in the Ontario Zone as Martin will play it off the boards and out for burn could not get to it as River will spin back at Center played up by ayic that puck laying there it’ll be picked up now by Harley Harley had somebody over on that far side that was Patrick ayic could not get to him as it didn’t have enough on it now could be a break for team Ontario NOS not down there as tarello trying to get to it tarello has it has Calver up in the slot Calver could not get it off his stick as it rolls to the corner tarell centering pass as as syic breaks that up still tight up down L Samar trying to free that puck around to The Far Side and there’s pazari pazari BR wide on the near side H it’s Center be picked right up by T ter on here’s backs good Banks into the Zone pazari takes him into the boards they hold on a shot knock down Mitchell Garrett another glove save and he will hang on for another face off that one kind of came out of nowhere and had to be sharp on that one as that one was headed for the top Corner take a look at samella there you’re not going to beat Mitchell Garrick glov side he’s too good with the m in goal for British Columbia but a great play entering the Zone after winning that puck battle on the near Side by Gavin bags able to drop it to his captain tamborello who had that shot on goal in a good one it was looking for that top right corner but Garrett got in front of it to the point up top galbert holds the Zone works it around to The Far Side trying to slend that one for tarell into the slot back it goes SWA for a shot but off just bouncing over top of the net by Garett well here comes team Ontario tarello Works it back down [Music] [Applause] low played along and held in the zone another shot going toward the net that one wide bounces back out front turned aside by Garrett and PC will pick it up look at a spring on the breakway pelari after it here is pelari in alone pelari now Garrett Corbin Watson I think got a piece of it pel Curry didn’t really get a great shut off and team Ontario talks his some massive bullet as PC of their best player sprung all alone tried to get Corbin Watson moving went side to side shoulder on that one as that puckle roll out at Center and BC will fire it right back in as soon as we thought team Ontario had all the momentum they had a plethora of shots on that shift moments ago and pazari has changed the tie of this one after a couple great opportunities trying to go short side on Garrett a really tough shot fought off Part of Me by Corbin Watson back down into the team Ontario zone is Martin’s back for it Martin gets hit in behind the net by Harley right back on it Martin tied up acidic up Top Shot goes high now it’s BC with a flurry this game has been outstanding back and forth we continue to go both teams keeping up with each other’s Pace as taing flying into the Zone after it big hit of the end boards topping down there as well he’ll bang that puck free back to the point for team montario Calver in ice opening up here’s Calver to shot Dr down and by Garrett who hangs on once again and team montero’s got to stop shooting at that M again that puck just popping out of the puck battle in the near side corner and Calver with all the time and space to pick his Corner that one looked like it was going wide but Garrett taking no chances again gloving it down so solid these two goenda of these two amazing athletes in goal for both of these teams that one’s steered on goal it’ll be turned back to the corner by the metm minder Mitchell Garrett around the near boards trying to clear that zone BC 7 minutes to go we are still noted at Double zeros pazari might not take another shift off as he works it up at Center rolling ahead of bags who will spin it back on the near side back up having trouble coring that puck here’s topping into the Zone lost it gets it back and a cic Will Spring pazari he’s got the speed pazari after it does he have the angle here he comes pazari out front nobody hope for BC [Applause] that puckle leak up at the center another big hit as it sent down into the Zone icing waved out and going crashing into the goal is Jacob calber and we’ll get a whistle and a face off down in the ontaro zone hard to see kind of what happened there as Calver when thrashing into his own [Applause] goalie everyone is okay but we’ll get the face off outside of the team Ontario Blue [Applause] [Applause] Line face off will be into the BC Zone there’s a shot nabbed up top glove down Watson whatever you can do I can do better and puck to the face too well and he’s coming also off of a oh a collision he had yesterday in that lad game where he got knocked in behind the net and he looked shooken up after that play and he had to sit off for the third period And this is not good for team Ontario as Sam sord one of the more prolific forwards for this team well to add insult to injury Noah that puck came right back to him and looked like it almost nipped him under the cage this would be devastating for team Ontario with 544 in a tie game to lose one of their very very Talent Ed and skilled forwards up front and I think we have a look at it here it kind of happened really quickly on that Far Side board Noah and immediately the trainer hopping out to take a look at sford who Still Remains down on the ice and has not moved sord still down it looks like the trainer’s looking at that lower section and the building has gone silent here in Port curn and swaer now being helped upright and in obvious and visible pain is Sam Swafford and he’s going to be helped off the ice and we will keep an eye on that situation now for team Ontario as Swafford right to the dressing room and again let’s take a look at that replay here quick I think we have it now as so Swafford going in and oh just gets pinched and you see that metal bar on that sled going in of river right up against that right leg of Swafford and you saw him holding it in rubbing it as he was helped to his sled and we’ll keep an eye on that for team Ontario but nonetheless a big loss right now for Teo they’ll fire it up and down the ice that one will be icing unless it’s on goal off the side of the net no icing play will continue down with the BC Zone Martin has it on that Far Side he’s pinched out along the boards DC trying to get it out of the zone another good opportunity moments before and it was on the back end of what was a really good hustle play from the captain tamborello to beat out that icing and then the puck just squirted out to tyan Martin after Colton Martin did a great job to get that puck loose and a good opportunity to get a shot on goal is deflected high and wide but team Ontario trying to pick this first goal up far side boards held in Clem has it with her two on0 got T LOL from of the go but Ling out FR unable to get there Clement just knocked off her sled she couldn’t get that loose Puck and Garrett able to Lunge out top and get it before Clement who almost had another massive goal for team oh it was just sitting there Garrett had to get back up on his sled to reach out for that one and Clemens was knocked over just reaching to try and flip that puck in on goal but a great opportunity team Ontario just squandered she wins the draw Ontario keeps the pressure on to the BC Zone Far Side pass Clemens has it far Circle throws it toward the net turned aside by the net minder Mitchell Garrett centering pass up top the post Floyd hits the iron it Loose PT now and able to fight it Mitchell gar Ontario another chance in that time just inches away from finding one behind the net minder Garrett wow oh so so close Alec that puck just almost squeaky by the pad of Mitchell gar and go and this line has looked super dangerous on this offensive zone possession face off win shot toward the net car at the Save BS has it down around tarello tarell works it up top bags Miss red and it’s out of the zone and he left to go back forward it Center Clement into the Zone she’s on side with Tamaro Clement holds fires right on glove down and Bri Garrett tried to was tit Marsh is a screen and Garrett saw it all the way through once again team monio finding out you just can’t beat Garrett on the glove side as Clen scorching in through past the Blue Line got a good opportunity a good look through the screen and Garrett up to the task once more but it’s all team Ontario right now all the offensive zone time is with them VC going to have to come up with something if they want to keep this game from going overtime well if they come up with something it’s going to come from this man right here who’s into the Zone with it here they come the Lazarus shot f on it tense moments now under three to go here in Period number three scoreless chance and a birth in the gold medal game tomorrow on the line for both teams [Applause] [Music] B for down inside the BC Zone it’ll be picked up by British Columban River we’ll play it around on the far [Applause] [Music] side hi on it for Teo she wins that battle hi look it out front and just missed as Harrington was sitting out front put not Carell tapping knocked over and BC will motor back the other way [Applause] [Music] into the Zone here’s pazari again to the middle pazari weaving his way in and just lost the handle on it just a last ditch effort from Cole Martin who swung his stick back and able to just dispossess pelari and whenever he’s on the ice him and H have just created so many opportunities for VC and team Ontario just holding on right now they’ll work it up elazari back after it on the near side Martin back for Teo a minute 30 to go in Period three overtime lingering in this one BC into the Zone tit Mar up top here’s a CA shot off the stick and white as able to get there was Tim bazari digging for it down to the corner up top Here Comes tit Marsh and tit Mar in tight turned aside by [Applause] Watson as we hit one to go here in Period number three do we have some late period Magic from one of these two teams play up on the near side here they kill again delazari working his way through knocked off stride CL both top lines out there now and Clement will play it off the boards and down the ice that one is not going to have enough for icing as I’m going to pick that up is River Tim Melo on him down low 25 seconds to go back around on the near side it’ll be gathered by BC mpes up at Center elazari can get free penalty coming but here goes ayic 13 seconds to go AIC in down to the ice Puck is loose underneath Watson he’s got it but we have a holding call coming oh my goodness Watson right at the end of regulation able to hold on and keep it out and if this game goes to overtime BC is going to have a power play to start off the OT period what an opportunity that puck came out for pelari and team BC’s going to take a time out but as we take a look at that play that transpired just before that where we saw the first holding call as pelari got wrapped up he would have been gone but calfor reached back and grabbed him and Asic trying to push that one in on goal and got in front was Corbin Watson to save the game for team Ontario but like you said two 7.2 left on the clock in this game and a two-minute penalty if it does go to overtime will be a power play for BC and honestly I I don’t hate it you you take a risk do you go pelari in by himself dying stages of the third period or do he take the man advantage in your penalty kills been good I think as much as it you you don’t want to see them take a penalty on purpose I think it was probably the perfect play to make because pelari would have been one-on-one with Watson and with the skill and the speed he has you would expect him to put it away but now you have a chance to just kill this penalty off and get another opportunity as this one’s possibly going to extra time PE off will be one by team Ontario tied up on the dot 1 second and we will be going to overtime for the first time in this tournament and we’ll get a little three minute quick brief intermission and then we will play 15 minutes of overtime I I don’t believe believe we’re going to flood because I don’t think we can get overtime rolling in 3 minutes with a flood and I think the linesman’s going to go over and say that but look at the man on your screen Mitchell Garrett massive glove saves in that period he stood on his head and team montario can say the same for Corbin Watson who was also excellent through regulation sudden death overtime are the rules if you’re UNF familiar with perah honi overtime rules 15 minutes sudden death next goal wins if we can’t decide a winner through 15 minutes in another period of hockey we will go to a shootout to decide a winner and we’ll have a quick little intermission here and then we will play overtime and it’s exactly what we said off the top and throughout the broadcast Noah this is exactly what we thought this game would be the first time these two teams met back on day one on Thursday which seemed so long ago it was 2-1 final for team Ontario just able to squeak out a win and now here we are we knew it was going to be a battle of the goendale comes over and tells us it’s going to be four on three so I forgot to mention that as well we do play uh uh four on four uh over time through 50 minutes so it’s going to be a lot of open ice and you look at guys like pazari and for team Ontario you look at guys like well we still haven’t seen Sam Swafford back so we’ll keep an eye on that again big loss for them but you look at Aubrey Clement who’s been all over the place she’s maybe been one of Team Ontario’s best players this weekend she scored big goals and she’s got big moments written all over her so we’ll keep an eye on her but then again you also look at uh Stefano tamberella with that that great speed he has yeah and I think the team captain for team Ontario like you said tamborello is going to be key in this overtime trying to lead his team to a semi-final Victory and if anything comes from it for British Columbia it’s going to come through pazari he was so dangerous in that third period every time he touched the ice just creating chance after chance and he was the one who drew that penalty to give them the power play heading into this overtime period and now with less players on the ice he’s going to have even more room to operate so look out for him if you’re team Ontario because as he’s going to be trying to get this overtime winner as we’re getting closer and closer for this sudden death period he you take a look over there along the boards no we’re we’re just making sure everybody’s clear on the overtime rule handbook and I think we are all good to go but again that late penalty is going to be a big factor here early in this as BC’s going to head to the power play and what an opportunity a four on- three man Advantage for British Columbia we don’t switch sides in overtime either there’s a great look at Mitchell Garrett and if BC were to advance to the gold medal game he’s got his paws all over it take a look at Corbin Watson on glob down by Corbin Watson and he makes it look so easy as he hangs on and we’ll get a face off down inside the Ontario Zone well how can you breathe if your team Ontario and that guy pazari is still on the ice is he able to drop that pass back for Hurst who had a good look on goal but Corbin Watson able to glove it down so back to even rank we’ll see if team Ontario can now use some already a goal this tournament against Mitchell Garrett one of the very few people to get that puck past him and Martin had all the time and space just one defender in front of him and trying to go High glove side couldn’t get it up as much as he want but an excellent save to keep BC in this one we stay scoreless as that’ll be fired down the ice for icing on Brice Columbia [Music] [Applause] BC faithful in The Stance here trying to get their team fired up Ontario will win the draw tied up on that far Circle sord cannot get to it and BC will bring it out of the Zone hurs good play at Center did not see that puck on the shot just outside by a cynic almost played hero for BC but Corbin Watson able to get it I’m not sure how pazari still had that Puck and was able to get it to a sink in front who was just poking at it he was stuck under Martin sled and it kind of just fluttered through and on goal and deflected by a couple bodies in front but a great job and a hustle from Watson to get back behind his goal and cover that up for a face off real nice right the work out at Center tarello icing is going to be waved off they’ll say that puck was touched up into the BC Zone we’re works it up for Asic he’s hit by Martin but that’s going to open up a lane for pazari pazari that one tried to send it across out front first who was going to toward the goal hit a body out front two to go in overtime before we hit a shootout team Ontario will work out of the [Applause] [Music] zone that plug will be fired down in deep ground to The Far [Applause] Side roll out toward the BC net but it’ll be settled down out front stretch pass up to the ear side for pazari and that will be whistled down the ice for icing on bc130 to go here in overtime scoreless with a birth in the gold medal game on the line for one of these two teams well if this is anything to expect for the games tomorrow the bronze in gold medal game will be in for a treat this game so far has been exhilarating to watch and unfortunately for one of these teams only one’s going to be able to fight for that gold medal and what has been a gut-wrenching effort from both of these squads far side boards Banks comes not decide a winner through an hour of play and a shootout is going to be needed to decide who will play for gold tomorrow take a look at one of the reasons why Watson Corbin Watson outstanding once again he has been excellent all tournament long back at the other end in BC Mitchell Garrett really the reason why his team is here three shooters from each side it’ll be a best of three and if still no winner after that it’ll be shot for shot Beyond those first three players and now it’s up to the coaching staff and then the players to pick their shootout Heroes hopefully for either team and well you can pretty much guess yeah I think we can we can probably predict the order may be decided by you know the coaching staff and whether you want your top guy to put the pressure on or be the player who’s put under pressure and we’ll see who comes out for either team and the order in which the teams will shoot both goalies remain in their net as they set themselves up for our first shootout of the tournament in our first semifinal and what a game it’s been and I was really really hoping we would get an overtime winner I was really hoping we would get such a such a hard way to lose so it’s so unpredictable it’s and you know someone’s going to have to miss eventually and exactly and you can never put it all the pressure on that person and the reason you know for the team losing if they do come up short but this is how it’s going to be this is how it’s laid out and the team’s just so even that they couldn’t find anything to divide them but it’s going to happen very shortly well the one thing and the one benefit I guess we do get out of getting a shootout here to send one of these two teams to the final is that we get to see both these [Music] we a perfect game these two goenda Ontario he going to be T Martin and Ontario will shoot first here’s Martin first shooter for team Ontario Martin slowly in across the Blue Line he’ll weave his way in Martin in fires right into the crest of Garrett didn’t really test him Garrett didn’t have to do much well it didn’t come in with a lot of speed speed was trying to play patient and wait for Garrett to maybe make a move and Martin got in too close and was unable to get that one over and over top of Garrett and goal and a big save for BC Christian titmarsh he’s going to try a different one here he’s going to go in with speed and slow down over across the line weaving to the near side titmarsh in behind diving out is Watson all for one for both sides as the goendale shooter and over again because both of these goalies do not look like they’re getting beat anytime soon shooter now for team Ontario Gavin Banks Banks lost it in Sledge gets it right back in slow far Circle Banks fires SC Gavin goes bunk team montario strikes first in the shootout I spoke to early Gavin bags had other ideas and how about the celebration the shimmy coming across the center circle and now the pressure’s on BC Patrick ayic to even things up in the shootout right on Watson no tried to go from left to right missed it and it’s down to the captain Stefano tarello can send onario to the gold medal game both approaches for team Ontario have been slower we’ll see how tarell comes in here tarell in right on to his right back out front what a save by Garrett he went crisscross a couple of times tried to squeak it by Garrett diving back with that glove and BC has a pulse they’re going to need a goal and Mato pazari is going to be the one to have to get it well who better to call on with the game on the line Matta pazari for BC best on best pelari in with speed here he comes out Watson pazari oh toin walks in it what a save Lots in it sends team onario to the gold medal game how did he get that I do not know what a move by bazari Watson maybe the save of the tournament that is ridiculous look at this wow the athleticism and I can’t believe the reaction from Watson after his face hasn’t changed since the start of the game after the game-winning save to send Ontario to the gold medal game wow Alec I got no words to say Gavin bags the only person to score in this game and he as well as Corbin Watson are sending Ontario through to the gold medal match Corbin Watson is a star and that save sends team Ontario to the gold medal game to tomorrow at 11:30 to face either Quebec or Alberta Watson the game saer bags the game winner onaral a chance to win it on Home soil tomorrow afternoon but we cannot absolutely downplay the performance from Mitchell Garrett because again Mitchell Garrett absolutely outstanding well and all of BC deserves a round of applause they put up an excellent effort in this game to keep the home Province to 0 through an hour of sledg hackey and such a hard way to lose but someone had to win this game and just the greatness of that man you see there and of course Gavin bags what a great shot just able to roof that one over the top of Mitchell Garrett and just an unbelievable game little shimy Shake he loved it and and we all loved that game it was entertaining from start to finish and if we can expect anything from what we saw for the next semi-final we’re going to be in for a treat team Ontario is shimmy shaking their way all the way to the gold medal game tomorrow what a game this one is going to be hard to be beat but again BC will have a chance to play for the bronze tomorrow morning at 9:00 against the loser of this next game coming up and look at the respect down on the ice there for the net minder Mitchell Garrett down there with the man who was able to find the back of the net the only one who was able to find the back of the net in Gavin bags and again what sportsmanship down Mitchell Garrett says come on man really as we’re going to take a look at replay here from this third period and again it’s it’s going to look like a top 10 goal tending highlight because that’s exactly what it was during this game Watson Garrett head-to-head again and these two teams Noah played two games the amount of goals allowed was three and if you want to count the shootout goal four but three goals in two games that just speaks to the volumes of the goal tening in this in this in this game yeah and it’s just in Spectacular from both of these goalies and you know they were incredible in the shoot out as well only one goal in the game and it came from Gavin bags for team Ontario but Mitchell Garrett was incredible Corbin Watson was incredible and we’ll see them both tomorrow team Ontario in the gold medal game as we take a look one more time at what divided those two teams Gavin bags does it for team Ontario give it a little Shake give me a little bag simy Shake bag sends team Ontario to the gold medal game what a game if you were able to watch it here or on the
