I mean that’s ridiculous that it’s that easy to fly at 204 205 207 43 angle descent a 19° 4arm all right guys welcome back to the channel so very important Arm review today Michael an arm that I think will capture the imagination the visual appeal and more importantly the performance uh attributes of the New Ping i530 mhm I think the uh 5525 again I like the shaping of what Ping’s done in their recent irons i230 is nice G 730 that we just revealed a nice tighter package and now in 530 you set it down I love how the grooves are nice and tight it looks like uh looks like a players iron but it has a ton of ton of help and a ton of forgiveness behind it yeah it’s it’s been a nice Evolution the i500 the uh into the five 25 there wasn’t there wasn’t a five 10 they skipped 510 correct and they were 525 I think if not apologize but more importantly we’re here now with the i530 which I think it’s it’s hard for me to look at this and think about this type of iron and where does ping go from here how do they get it better than this they seem to push the boundaries as all companies do of getting the compact shape but maximizing the the performance and the Forgiveness but there’s one thing that stands out when it comes to the i530 and that’s all you hear about when people talk about is speed yeah it’s an iron Built For Speed it’s got a strong LT package obviously it has the C300 face I mean you can kind of we were we were holding up the uh the sort of iron faces to the light where you can sort of see the weld on the face that sort of very fast sort of face that gives you that trampoline effect that dive board effect is something ping are really perfecting now uh something that they had in previous irons but they’re starting to really you know fully fully maximize the technology I think the nice thing we were reading like the the back Wall’s 40% thinner so they’ve they’ve been able to tighten things up obviously helps with looks but it’s going to you know help with speed as well um it’s a degree and a half two degrees stronger than 525 um which is huge but obviously with the movement of CG and stuff it’s you know they’re not just meant to to go long and low they’re you’re going to you’ll see the performance of it in a second but um package wise super clean super super clean I mean as the iron getting this progression progression towards stronger Mike going further quite quick pivot to the ball it’s important that you don’t overlook the golf ball and you know we never doing these tests we always pick a ball appropriate for the test and while we’re talking about ping we’re going to talk about ball Nam there’s no better way to make sure if you’re going to go in the direction towards a set of irons that going to sort of maybe decrease spin a little bit but you’re going to get get some distance gain you’re going to want to look at an a golf ball that complements that make sure that that’s a well-rounded package for you and your game so as well as you know making a hen hour which they having the i530 I think the the balic uh function or sort of features and functionality is something that people can really benefit from so if this is something you’re looking at or a stronger lofted iron set probably add that into your your self fitting with it all right let’s start with the wedge um give me a show what the loft is I actually don’t know what the loft is on this guy it’s got to be in the 43 42 territory okay F 135 yards y 42 degrees of Loft on the pitching wedge we’ve upped the obviously the yardage from our our previous test we’re we’re still trying to kind of regulate a certain speed but I’m not going to go all out at these you know but definitely gives us a chance to see who this would fit for in a speed it would work with [Music] looked like it went to the Moon it did didn’t it 27 degrees of launch 105 ft sound changes again doesn’t it very different angle descent Mikey 53° deep it’s good 7,000 spin I felt like a good one they’re very they’re very chippy and after the the face feels feels forged see no it forged is is the body I feels like you know like or SES the part I’m hitting feels fast and thin and you know it does feels like there’s some help we talked about it there earlier the the grooves on the face they’re they’re micro Max grooves I love the love the look of it but they’ve done that obviously for for more spin which is nice yep a pitch in it’s not a player iron but definitely not game improvement it’s it launches nice and high really toy but it’s good really good just a bit on our number pure fraction maybe a little toey just a little bit3 ft in the air was it really sounds so good it does doesn’t it it feels way faster than the G 730 over time like I know We’ve joked where we say oh you know it sounds faster whatever but this sounds I know you’re almost you’re not obviously at your full speed but that strike there just sounded quick descend angle at almost 50 115 ft in the air looks easy I think I should just dial my seven back to 170 and just be done with it love to see what these things do out of rough a little bit longer lie just uh I love that the back of these these irons kind of have that that trailing Edge is kind of shaved off a little bit i’ love to see it through some brings that M down there but without having the wide so feathered seven irons 175 yards the shape is lovely I will say that you could forget that it’s a a five series iron and a heartbeat as good as I can head it oh so nice feathered I mean that Peak height is is crazy it spins really good off it when let’s just hit one just to see okay so let you know let’s let’s see you know this is one what was that 12 three in the last was a nice 122 ball speed yeah my my seven AR at my speed at you know whatever I swing at 95 or so 96 is5 is it’s going to be like yeah 124 125 I just if you want it it’s just got air mil 130 yeah 131 so yeah pretty pretty quick High how much higher did that go we get a bit more height 127 you can really elevate it with this thing yeah so it’s got Gears it does have gears all right F uh super fast iron and you’re trying to kind of be in a respectable kind of speed it’ be interesting to see what this for iron does 19° yeah um basically hybrid territory uh but yeah let’s see if that Peak height stays up and that spin stays up and 93 my my target 83 88 93 that’s I’m kind of trying to go in that 5 mph increments height has been impressive this is 19° Mikey let’s see if it will still be easy to flight I mean that’s ridiculous that it’s that easy to fly at 204 205 207 204 great strike yeah felt good 95 ft in the air yeah 43 angle descent a 19 degree 4 iron that’s where we we have to preach you need to really forget about Lofts it’s functionality yeah yeah the center of gravity is making the Loft somewhat irrelevant these cases the design capabilities is making the L somewhat relevant it’s not something we need to you you know continue to be upset about right yeah makes sense sound good just drifted on you that was a good strike again just to face a little bit open such a nice flight he keeps talking about I’m going to say it again I love the sound of these sounds so easy sounds so good super Crisp that’s a tow strike at 90 feet in the air and yeah on a rope it’s not really going to hurt you whatsoever 205 carry no issues it does its job doesn’t it it’s uh I tell you it’s a four iron a better player would would throw in the bag just for the utilization of of the amount of height the amount of ball speed I mean this is I mean chipping these what that was 205 205 and it’s just like it’s like trying to hold back a race car it just wants to go I mean there’s there’s 230 on the fly if you want it with this thing no trouble just as easy as it can be with a a 4 iron miky again we talked about it with with g730 I think the most impressive thing for us is looking at how tight those standard deviations are for for spin again it’s not a it’s not a game improvement iron but it’s definitely a distance iron and you’re you’re not getting flyers or fluctuating too much without a doubt this will be a real winner on the demo D demo day T deck this year yeah you know when people going try this compared to others around it they’ll just they’ll have speed they’ll have feel they’ll have sound it’s it’s going to wow a lot of people and they’ve not scraped or or kind of went shy on the components either Dynamic Gold Tour issue um on the on the mids as well yeah I think we get asked a lot when the new model comes out people go now 525 and then 530 there was quite a couple years there anyways people always ask oh I have 525 should I get fit for I 530s I mean the these are Lighty years in my op light is better than than i525 I think the compact shape of it immediately takes it into more a desirable category and then the enhanced Acoustics obviously the stronger LOF but with a 10% deeper CG you know all of the other design sort of uh design features that have went into to these um yeah it it’s a big upgrade and it needs to be two-year cycle if you’re going to wait two years to replace your irons or replace the the model you better believe it better be worth the wait 100% okay Mikey impressive stuff we thought it would be a big one this one we thought it would be one that would be meaningful for a lot of you guys watching I think the test results show that at the speeds that we’re we’re swinging these at today and and obviously the performance that we got from them this is one that should people should stand up and and pay attention to the i530 I think what you mentioned about the demo Datt or you going into a fitting when you look at all your specs or your charts after you hit you will notice a significant jump in speed forgiveness um I think this will in a way like not shock people that oh my God ping makes a great iron it’s just they’ll looking in and go wow this thing is is impressive it’s right in The Sweet Spot isn’t it that that Ford C300 face the tungsten screw in the toe for maximum forgiveness it’s got everything wrapped into a really truly compact players package now something I think you guys will really really enjoy it’s it’s a pretty sweet design yeah yeah and the ability to Retros speec power spec or or you know normal Lofts maybe a blended set with 230s or or whatever it may be I think could be a really cool combo agreed agreed okay guys um impressed as you can obviously tell uh the the proof is in the pudding the testing you can always gauge from our body language what we feel about these clubs when we test them whether we’re impressed whether we’re holding a little something back we’re you know we try to be kind we try to pull the the positives and address the negatives if there are some uh not many negatives when it comes to the I5 30 upgrades Galore something for you guys if you’re looking for a distance enhancing players looking iron something that really really will
