[Music] let’s suppose you’ve been watching the channel for a while in that case you know that I test out all kinds of items to find out if they have the potential to be a practical self-defense tool such as crowbars a sock full of quarters shovels and so on at this point there’s almost no item I won’t use my body to collect data with so when a company offered to sponsor a video where I test out an actual self-defense tool I simply couldn’t say no introducing the grimberg a 68 caliber less lethal launcher pistol for concealed carry it’s popular in places like California Canada and all other gun-free zones it doesn’t require a permit and is legal everywhere so let’s see how the grimberg gavel Stacks up against other unconventional items we’ve tested so far in other words let’s give it our best shot Hit Me With Your Best Shot Blow Me Away the grimberg gavel here shoots two different kinds of rounds first it shoots this really hard kinetic round and then they also have some OC and CS rounds essentially like pepper ball rounds now we’ll be testing both of these on me today but before we shoot me with either of them we’re going to test the kinetic rounds on barriston Jones here fig this is a good way for you to test your accuracy before you shoot me Mark I have Shot Firearms that’s good yeah so are you accurate um oh I hit the target okay yeah you know you took way too long it’s why do you think about that so hard we ever going to use a real gun you there’s a reason I fly down to Kentucky ballistics I think I can hit him I’m more worried about getting hit myself yeah I that’s actually what I’m most excited for I should have worn three pairs of pants how many pants you just got one on I you got any extra pairs of pants not for you yeah you can have one you got a palm sander yeah I haven’t used it yet but thanks here’s how you the gun projectiles go right here it fits five rounds and then you put this spring back on and uh screw in it is now loaded all you do now is you screw in the CO2 canister here and you hear that and it’s ready to fire those came straight back I know almost hit me in the head yeah that’s what I didn’t do I didn’t load all five rounds in there but uh Barrison Jones uh you know he retaliated I don’t think my body will do that this is why Mark didn’t want a test fire it I knew I knew that’s one right there kind of cut the gel a little bit it’s pretty impressive honestly it’s kind of hard to damage these ballistic gels with stuff they just kind of get contorted over time but I think this is going to hurt I feel like it’s going to be close to a driving uh the golf Drive full power yeah golf ball it’s going to be close to that well there’s only one way to find out uh we’re going to do a couple different things with this we’re going to start with me having clothes on we’re going to shoot me in the legs with my joggers on here then I’ll take the joggers off we’ll do a bare skin test I want to take one or two to my stomach to see how it feels and then we’ll move to the pepper balls but before we do the pepper balls we’ll shoot Mark cuz I can’t see after that that’s a good idea I need to see I need yeah I could shoot them as I’m just suffering in the background kinetic round on close test one shot mark one opportunity oh that’s going to be really bad I know okay wow I can feel the lump through my that’s through two lay I told you to go further away holy hell I hit you yeah great where I wanted to yeah perect good job that was I was like squeezing it it wasn’t going I’m like what’s going on well uh bare skin [Laughter] test I was kind of shocked by that bare skin test no reaction and you have to like the video 50% chance I fail did I miss no you hit me oh okay oh no reaction yeah that’s right oh right in the oh in a really bad spot oh the same spot no no oh God no not at all not at all the same spot back of the knee yeah but it hit a very nice tender spot you didn’t react that was good I thought I missed that’s be multiple times fter than paintball gun and then they’re the rock hard rounds so it’s like 10 times worse than a paint block yeah I really don’t want to do this but I want to take one to the stomach that I regret my decision back in December I should have asked for a couple Mulligans you should have but that’s not the deal so I might just go destroy the Blake so I don’t have to do this anymore I’m excited I’ve never got to shoot someone with one of these before it won’t be as bad as you’re thinking Mark you got the the pants on the lab coat probably cover it all right you ready Mark what’s that over there I don’t like guns pointed at me bless lethal oh [Music] I got to admit y this a nice seat that was expecting yeah too bad right you got my you got my cheek I did yeah we have to inspect that later yeah I’ll send you photos I do think it’s much worse on Exposed Skin it’s because you’re cold no that’s not it at all freezing it’s 40 de right now it’s fine it’s freezing my nose is hardly running you know I think about that monkey fist too I did hit you in like that nerve spot yeah so maybe if I shoot you again in that same spot we could really find the difference what do you think are we doubling my pce last test today we got some pepper balls that we need to shoot out of this apparently these have 10% cs plus 2% OC I don’t know what that means me either CS is like a gas I think OC’s more of a pepper spray type thing either way it’s a big irritant to like the sinus eyes how we’re going to do this we’re going to shoot it at the riot shield and let it waft up this is not a realworld application of these rounds you’d probably shoot directly at someone or you would hit some walls or something inside and it would fall down on the attacker I just want to simulate what this feels like what this irent feels like from grimberg so we’ll see what happens [Music] come [Applause] here you dropped your gun idiot it’s empty stay back why you’re a mad man on pepper spray did it work pretty effective it’s uh any projectiles hit your face no it’s getting worse oh it’s getting so much worse my tears are mixing it into my eyeballs you want some milk I’ll go get you some milk your mic I don’t know I open my eyes how I get in there somehow I made it into my bucket I know it wasn’t cuz we just tested the Mikes that’s pry out of every OC round I’ve tested and I’ve tested a few they’ve never gotten to my eyes so bad at first I was like I it took a second like I immediately felt it in my left eyeball and I could Chase mark for a second but the more I blinked and was like going suddenly it’s like it’s like I can’t I opened my eyes for a second and it hurts ah that might yeah they have a good mixture there I like that one that’s a good OC round that’s like very close to pepper spray that feeling and keep in mind that’s not like that’s a poor real world application you’d probably shoot someone in the face or stomach the chest and that oh imagine a shot in the head with that break your nose and then you won’t see okay I’m going to try to see how long I can open my eyes here we go how how long you think it’s been uh about 5 minutes since I’ve been shot yeah 3 minutes three two three okay here we go see how long I open my eyes one yeah that hurts really bad so let’s take a look at the damage so that’s the stomach shat it’s healing up the the spot around it it’s not so red that’s good that’s good what is did my skin got removed a bit there yeah that hurt really bad and we that was a pretty long shot I don’t think you would ever make that shot when you’re actually using this gun this is probably a very close range type of self defense tool unless you practice yeah unless you practice sure but I think you’re using this more practically indors you could use it probably anywhere but it’ll probably be more close range but I think that’s common with hand guns hand guns aren’t a long range tools look at the lumps on my leg I can hold it hold my lump yeah that’s a great good grab huh yeah and then my yeah look at that that ain’t good show everyone Your Mark you’re bleeding not bad do jeans you’re underwear not bad compared to yours the jeans offer a little bit more protection yeah jeans are the way to go oh I can do it I can open my eyes all right for our last test we’re shooting Mark with five rounds you’re going to do it you can’t see you made it so much worse I’ll check back at in a couple days and give you my final thoughts stop sending Houston guns seven more guns I don’t want to get shot with that anymore oh they sent me some 12 gauge round what the yeah we can do that next oh my God my dad’s got an old rusty 12 gauge that’s sounds Weir I’m going to go take a shower a why did you throw the milk in my face again is that pepper what what a good shot it’s time for the grimberg gavl data review 2 days after the experiment my stomach and leg had large scabs and very significant bruising due to being shocked so significant in fact that 6 days later the scabs and bruising were still very present especially on my hamstring Mark also suffered some minor scabbing and extreme bruising despite wearing jeans which I found to be very impressive so what are my thoughts on the grimberg gavl well in terms of pure power this is by far the hardest hitting less lethal launcher I have ever tested they say that it is capable of breaking a rib and after that stomach shot I took I 100% believe them even though grimberg sponsored this video I was fully prepared and half expecting the grimberg gavl to not shoot nearly as hard as it did and for the OC rounds to really not work so I was pleasantly surprised with the results I got from this it is advertised as a less lethal launcher and under most circumstances I believe that would most likely be true but I think there could be some rare circumstances where this maybe is a little bit lethal especially at really close range and potentially with shots aimed at a head so if you like
