Why Aaron Rodgers is ACTUALLY The Best QB of all Time

Aaron Rodgers throws a football better than anyone else to ever do it, & in this video I provide some of the evidence for this claim. Aside from what it looks like, his stats as a thrower are unmatched. Unfortunately he only won the super bowl once. In my opinion, winning super bowls in not a qb stat. Plenty of grest QBs have 1 or 0 wins, & a few mid tier QBs have Super Bowl wins.

Aaron Rogers throws the football better than anyone else to ever do it the truth is if you don’t count Super Bowl wins as a quarterback stat he’s the greatest of all time simply because of his stats and his arm Talent I’m going to show you why he’s the most talented quarterback and break down his throwing motion so you can copy him and throw like the most talented quarterback of all time the other day I tuned into the roast of Tom Brady on Netflix and it seems like everyone agrees that he’s the goat and there’s no debate around it but to be honest there’s plenty of evidence out there that supports Aaron Rogers being the greatest quarterback of all time or at least being specific about what they’re the greatest of for example Tom Brady is the most accomplished most winning quarterback has all these records but if you take a deeper look at the stats it becomes clear that Aaron Rogers stands alone is the most talented quarterback of all time probably the most insane stat of his whole career is the touchdown to interception ratio which is 4.52 by far the best among quarterbacks on that greatest of all time list this means he’s thrown more touch Downs per interception than anyone else over the course of his entire career and 1.5 more touchdowns per interception than your goat Tom Brady in the last four years alone not counting the 2023 season where he only took three snaps with the Jets he’s [Music] thrown he also has a career passer rating of 103.6 Patrick Mahomes is the next closest quarterback on that list but no other quarterbacks on the greatest of all time List have a rating over 100 over the course of their entire career Rogers also has the number one and number two spots for single season highest passer rating of all time which were 122.5 in 2011 and 121.5 in 2020 not to mention in 2020 the Packers selected Jordan love in the first round of the NFL draft and before the season started Rogers faced harsh media criticism over his stance on the pandemic with all this adversity on his back he went on to produce two of the most impressive Seasons by a quarterback of all time when win two consecutive MVPs and throwing 85 touchdowns with just nine interceptions the stats tell one side of the story but the film makes it even more apparent he has the smoothest and quickest release of all time he throws really well on the Run he has pinpoint accuracy and an absolute Cannon so how does he actually do this let’s talk about the three main things that Aaron Rogers does specifically in his throwing motion that you can copy to begin to throw more like him number one is his arm motion he only pulls the ball back as far as he needs to to be able to get his elbow out in front he never reaches his elbow back behind his frame and he never reaches the ball outside of his frame either probably the biggest key point of his throwing motion that you need to copy is how quickly he gets his elbow out in front you notice he starts his throwing motion his elbow goes from back here to there extremely fast and this is what causes his arm to Simply look like a wrist flick Because by the time he rotates open his wrist is the only thing that flicks and and it looks like the ball just Zips off his hand to practice this work on staying closed keeping your back leg loaded and having a short concise windup where you never reach back outside of your frame let’s move on to the second thing which is his wrist Aaron Rogers has an extremely efficient wrist action when he throws the football guys to really spin it well uh have very good wrist action his wrist flick actually doesn’t add power to the ball it adds rotation to the ball a faster spinning spiral is going to cut through the wind better optimizing your velocity so his wrist stays locked in a flat position throughout his entire throwing motion until the release when he pronates or flicks his hand down adding that rotation to the ball it never goes back like this when he does finally shift his weight to his front leg and rotate everything comes out and that’s why it makes his motion look so quick because everything comes out as soon as he shifts his weight to practice having a better wrist action in your throwing motion really be deliberate about keeping it flat all the way until the release and then flick it so your palm is facing downwards the third and final thing which is kind of distinct to his throwing motion specifically is the pop foot now I know it looks funny you’ve seen him throw when it looks like he’s almost jumping every single time he throws the football why does he do this he puts a lot of force on his front leg to really rotate his hips this does a couple different things it stops his hips from sliding forward it pushes his hip back to promote rotation which accelerates her hand through and it also gets his front foot off the ground as soon as he throws so that during his follow through his leg doesn’t get rolled up on by offensive or a defensive lineman causing a knee injury or anything like that the trick to doing the pop foot is you have to be sequencing correctly you can’t get your weight on your front leg too early you can step out but you have to keep your back leg loaded and then when everything’s ready to come through you pop through the release to work on having a pop foot practice keeping your weight back when you throw and when you do finally shift your weight forward everything has to be coming out this means that you have to commit to the throw once you pick a Target once you pick the type of throw you want to make everything has to go Full Throttle ball comes out if you can apply these three elements to your throwing motion you can also develop a lightning quick release where you don’t lose any power any accuracy and you just become an overall better thrower of the football now I’m going to get warmed up and try to put those three things into practice to throw like Aaron Rogers trying to really keep my shoulders level right here so right now I’m just trying to keep my motion as short as I can like literally just bringing it here fall out I like a second basem we’ll throw the first [Music] base all right I’m get some longer throws in well this is 20 yards 22 yards when you hit the slot right and you’re in rhythm you’re in alignment you’re on balance it feels really [Music] powerful the key here is that when I do it right I really feel like my shoulders are square to my target as I’m releasing the [Music] ball Rogers has had it tough in his career yeah he only has one Super Bowl victory but there’s more to it than just that throughout his whole career he’s only had four top 10 ranked defenses and the year he won the Super Bowl was the best defense he ever had they were ranked fifth on the other hand Tom Brady has had a top 10 defense 17 of the 20 years he’s played in the NFL if you look even deeper some of the most impressive Seasons Rogers has ever put together have been wrecked by heartbreaking playoff losses where his defense completely sold in 2009 Rogers had one of the best playoff debuts by a quarterback in NFL history but the Cardinals dropped 51 points on him they lost the game in overtime due to a strip sack return for a touchdown where the refs completely missed a face mask call on Rogers the next year he won the Super Bowl and the Super Bowl MVP in 2010 2011 he had one of the most impressive Seasons by an NFL quarterback of all time leading the Packers to 15- one then the Giants came in and dropped 37 points on them at Lambo field and the Packers receivers tied for the most dropped passes in a single game game of any team that entire season with six the next year in 2012 Colin Kaepernick ran for 181 yards and the 49ers put up 45 points Aaron Rogers defense gave up a total of 579 yards that game what do he supposed to do about that in 2013 they played the 49ers again and this time it was a way closer game it was probably Aaron Rogers most mid performance but but he did lead them to a game tying drive with 5 minutes left then the 49ers put on a 14-play drive for the whole last last five minutes of the game leading to a game-winning field goal and Aaron Rogers never got to see the ball again in 2014 they were up 19 to7 with just over 2 minutes left versus the Seahawks the Seahawks scored recovered an onside kick scored again and then converted on one of the most insane two-point conversions of all time with 119 left in the game Rogers LED them to a game timeing field goal but in overtime he never got to see the ball again in 2015 versus the Cardinals he threw two straight hail Mar to tie the game but Larry Fitzgerald bowled out in overtime and he never got to see the ball in 2016 the Falcons dropped 44 points on nine possessions against the Packers Aaron Rogers played good but the defense completely sold once again in 2017 and 2018 Rogers was dealing with a lot of leg injuries and missed a lot of games in 2019 the 49ers came in and dropped 37 points on the Packers and completely dominated the Run game through the entire game with like almost 300 yards and four touch CHS his defense has given up 37 points or more in five of his eight playoff losses in his other three losses he led a fourth quarter game tying drive but never saw the ball again he’s got the first down and this game’s over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers kick was down the middle and good 49ers win it this doesn’t mean that Aaron Rogers can’t do any wrong but it’s clear that he’s just had some of the worst playoff defense of all time and some of the worst luck of all time everyone says defense wins championships in the average ranked defense that’s won the Super Bowl since 1970 has been ranked sixth there’s only so much a quarterback can do without a solid defense and Aaron Rogers career defenses have an average rank of 14.55 I’m showing you all this to say that Aaron Rogers to me is the greatest quarterback of all time winning and things like that mentality is or uh Tom Brady my footb go to Aaron Rogers no that’s fine and Super Bowl wins are just not a great metric to judge a quarterback’s success off of

  1. sorry mahomes is already above rodgers and has more talent then him, most talented qb was just a cope for not being brady and now mahomes

  2. Experienced football players know Aaron is the most talented QB. He is also the smartest @ reading Defenses and changing plays @ the line.
He carried Green Bay for years. GB doesn't have an owner and the Front Office guys were
questionable as they didn't construct good Defenses and Special Teams were the worst in the
NFL for years-ST are still weak.

  3. Aaahh yes, Aaron Rodgers AKA Aaron Godgers AKA the COVID Toe Eskimo AKA LaStatpadder PaperTyga VII. I might respect the dude if he just came out already, but how can he be the GOAT when he isn’t even comfortable being his true self? Remember guys, he really REALLY likes women.

“GOATs come and go but BOATs stay float” -Baker Mayfield, Best of All Time, during Tampa Bays 2025 boat parade celebrating their third franchise Super Bowl victory #CSO

  4. I think this comes down to what people define as "goat". Mahomes is already receiving compliments calling him the new "goat" because he has 3 rings. If mahomes didnt had only one 1 ring nobody would be considering him. "Goat" is just used as "most accomplished" now which I believe is unfortunate. I'm a Packers fan so I might be a little bias but I completely agree that he's the best mechanical qb ever.

  5. Hey dk if you remember but I dmed u n u said this was gonna be a banger it is thanks for the tip I’ll try my best to get the throwing motion down but it looks like it takes time to get the Arron Rodger’s throwing motion down but thanks for the vid🔥

  6. I've been saying for years that the qb debates are riddled with so many flaws. People honestly team success is 100% on the qb, and it blows my mind.

  7. Love the Rodgers throwing motion breakdown. Maybe a lot to ask but could you do a throwing motion breakdown for Stafford? I've always loved watching him throw. Maybe you're a Packers fan but even Rodgers has complimented Stafford's throwing and I'd love to learn more!

  8. A lot more you could’ve added, His ability to read a defense. He is the master at free plays, and catching the defense with 12 men on the field. The ability he has to maneuver in the pocket and buy time while his receivers eventually get open. Aaron is by far the most complete and most efficient quarterback the game has ever seen. And if anyone jumps in and says “He’s a terrible leader” you have been brainwashed by the media for years into thinking that. He’s my goat for sure.

  9. Let's also not forget that Rodgers never had the luxury of a good defense and high priced receivers. If not for Aaron Jones he wouldn't be Rodgers.

  10. to be fair Aaron Rodgers was a heavy stat padder. I think he is a great qb, but I can"t stand guys who stat pad.

  11. I think that if Rodger’s goes on to win the Super Bowl this coming season, which based on everything you said in this video, he has the best chance of his career to do, then he will be my undisputed GOAT and probably many other people’s as well.
