morning Pat just to you know like-minded people just to talk through it there’s I don’t know that I’ve anything to say anymore other than it was a great like in the Twitter aspect it showed how great of an app it really still is in like the breaking news moment and I love golf I love major Championship golf the jokes the memes the tweets like incredible incredible so just a hilarious day I get in many levels well no I mean someone did die um so there is that aspect of it but in in reference to Sheffer it feels like this will be the turning point where he’s actually not gonna like where we go where the general public goes from just really taking taking him on I guess and being fans as opposed to it being this battle is is he boring I think today was a turning point it’s funny what it takes but that’s my belief I don’t know if it will guys did you watch his press conference because I I just finished watching it yeah I mean he was kind of same old old Scotty in some ways but what’s he supposed to be like oh this is an injustice I don’t know he almost like practically thanked the cops he did thank the cop he thanked police for saving lives he talked about he talked about his treatment at it they got him a sandwich yeah and you know like left leftwing Twitter is all like oh how the magga brow is gonna handle a a a top white golfer versus the police oh my God was that a thing that you were following online I was following every today online was outstanding Pat the in terms of golf like yeah there have been live stuff and live announcements and maybe even the the framework of the piff deal a year ago but in terms of immediacy the only thing I could compare this to in some ways was DJ falling down the stairs and this killed it it blew it out of the water and people brought their aame you look at my feed from when this incident happened to like the middle of the day I was hitting doubles all day long some people were hitting home runs all day long uh everyone was getting on base all day long it was just it was just in incredible I had a great had a great time my worlds were colliding major championship golf and top shelf interneting like it was incredible the gala just walked one in finally got on the board now to 7 under we need him to have a very nice day here you Tim were telling me how much you enjoyed every single meme that came out yeah I mean Jeff said of course somebody passed away it is a terrible tragedy but the stuff as it relates to Scotty yeah there there were some funny memes there were some funny jokes uh you know people are making the best of a bad situation what were some of your favorites the one where somebody said he had started a prison ministry he I really thought like Shooter McGavin crushed it with that Jingle All The Way Sinbad Arnold Schwarzenegger like clip of him like going by and saying this was Rory driving past Scotty on the way into the course that might have been one of my favorites um I don’t know it was just Randy Marsh I thought this was America first time I saw that that too was like oh Brooks well that’s not good for Pat’s Brooks money oh folks well he did just make a 50-footer so I guess that’s a total water Finds Its level moment but you you hate those uh yeah I mean people were were killing it there were so many good ones now it is sort of a blur the one that had uh the one that the one that was great pat it had a picture of Johnny Cochran and it was if he’s next on the te he must be set free like it was so good like people were doing a Plus work tonight do you think it do you think the ratings will be up for this like this day compared to what you think they would have been I would say so Tim can you put your mic just a little bit closer to your uh base Pat got it like right next to his face so there’s a bit of a disparity between the two of you well if there’s one thing that we’re consistent about is that I don’t know how to use a microphone so but but you know I guess Pat to your point like he was very much just the same guy after and he was very much the same guy on the golf course shooting that 500 Ram but I think it will just allow for the turn of um where greatness becomes accept not accepted but where where where his greatness is appreciate like is appreciated in probably the same way I made this analogy with you before like Federer like probably early on it was like boring what is this guy but at a certain point you just almost have to you’re watching for the greatness and the consistency of the greatness and I think today will no doubtedly help the Turning Point happened quicker or the change happened quicker from just boring guy to like okay now we’re just watching because he’s a generational player Rory just missed that drive left did you see that guy’s reaction in the B he was so pumped the ball was in front of him that’s why I starting to laugh hey the ball is right here yeah right I swear to God it’s right here Rory’s ball it’s right here tiger is not having a day tiger is eight over and I saw him get caught in the bunker twice two holes ago oh dear here every ever what give a more like practical view of of things instead of like just in the moment everyone has sort of you know made the thought that this is the end of like the PGA at Valhalla and I would argue a winning score north of 20 is more likely to be the end of the PGA at Valhalla than one potential cop kind of going rogue because they love the property it’s a it’s a cow pasture they sell you’re you’re hitting on it right now it’s the same reason because I asked moose when I played at Hazel with like why does Hazel get so many events he’s like because you can put like 200,000 people in here he’s like it’s a giant open field you can set up stands like it makes so much money not on the list for the next several PG Championship well it’s having the Ryder Cup next year because it had the Ryder Cup twice but it’s having the Ryder Cup next year and this place will have the Ryder Cup again but it had the LPGA US Open like three years ago it’s a venue that they’re using yeah the next Ridder cups at Beth Page black oh sorry two Ridder cups from that yeah but like as saying 2018 whatever that the PGA of America has added former US Open courses to the Roa like Olympic club like Beth Page like Oak Hill and balus roll where they don’t need to go to a place like Whistling Straits or Valhalla where people can shoot 20 under maybe not but if there’s one thing that Valhalla has shown at least from the last time and what we’re seeing right now you got names at the top of this leaderboard and that’s and that’s really what they’re concerned about sure if they got a cow pasture on an ex on a course that’s delivered another exciting finish like it did last time with names like it did last time in the time before that tiger in a duel that is that maybe could could save it in some respects because there’s so much money on these properties for them to make and that’s part of it and there’s not um you yeah it’s proven and and like you said from the amount of tickets to the amount of activations to the amount of corporate build outs it is I I don’t know that they’ll the winning score I I just in conclusion the winning score is why they might not be back not one Rogue CAU I was saying they wouldn’t come back after yesterday so like before all the events that happen this morning I was saying yesterday like that performance if you’re telling me that a course can’t take a little bit of rain and all of a sudden it’s basically Quad Cities like then you’re really maybe not ready for major championship play anymore like if you can’t put the pins in super tough spots to prevent everybody attacking every single pin then maybe it’s not the best place to have the PGA in an era where they want the PGA Championship to be a little more difficult than it was 10 years ago or maybe good with every few years that it is a throwback PGA Championship where guys go out and make a ton of birdies maybe if they again if they got the names and it’s a fun finish on Sunday and it’s a great atmosphere in the crowd and it’ll pop it’ll look and feel great on TV that can maybe you know save it that can maybe you know say they’ll do some things in in order to get it in order to get it back potentially see you see there on the screen where the golf architect superintendent all that stuff imagine we’d ratchet this up a bit for the political climate turn that to Zion zoa see what happens to Valhalla then if you think the greens are in tough shape now wait till the protesters are walking over them I demand free tickets to the PGA Championship for life because I want them Kitty AMA is actually playing really well he think people I mean people are probably mad that he made the cut that’s too bad have you where have you found the best place to track it pat because I honestly think the fantasy national board is the PGA app the championship app isn’t great and I think the fantasy National scoring yeah the fantasy National app’s just slightly behind uh what the PGA CH Championship app is so it’s about akin to like what’s going on on the gambling sites but it’s giving you the shot tracker and real time it’s giving you the like Strokes gain metrics in real time so that’s nice so that’s one that I’ve been using but the PGA Championship one is probably like a minute faster I would say but I can’t stand their leaderboard it’s so blocky it’s horrible less blocky names more names like like I don’t know if I’m making sense but I feel like people know exactly what I’m saying so I mean you should love the fantasy National app then because that was our one that was the one directive I it was like more names on the screen is as many as you can fit on the screen fit them on the screen people don’t want to have to go searching for people yeah and like I me God these guy it’s like half an inch for each name on the freaking PGA app it’s crazy well if we take a look at the cut line right now it’s probably gonna be minus one so Jake knap didn’t even come close to that so to make the cut parlay is dead before we start sitting at even par I mean it’s it’s right now it seems like it’s it’s more likely it’s more likely to be even than minus two but minus two isn’t out of the equation yet who’s at even Park ROM is in it even so ROM’s probably done he got off to a real bad start yesterday Mitch I was throwing my clubs on the course this morning the PGA Championship that’s the ROM I like when he’s getting right now it needs to get to T70 but as you said it’s the easiest course of all time so probably not going to go backwards certainly I’d be curious to see what today’s and yesterday’s scores were to par compared to the PJ championship of the last even 10 years I need Fleetwood he’s since they played the last summer one at B Reeve in 2018 be curious to see if it’s the easiest one since then Paul was texted me and said much better yeah great I had you turned down apparently now next year’s at Quail Hollow where they’ve had they they’ve got it to be really really tough in 2017 yeah and a lot of were going to try to set it up but I guess maybe you just can’t with this course no I mean that’s in again The Plains of okl Oklahoma where there’s tons tons of wind I wonder if Aaron Hills have given another shot because the USGA is like basically built out to 2050 there are us opens and it’s not on the list there’s like two open spots left maybe a rer cup at Aaron Hills the USGA course can’t do it well if you go to the P of America you leave the USGA well it doesn’t sound like they have anything till no they were having USGA events since the 2017 US Open they haven’t got another men’s US rough he can chip out of this thick rough and that’s where he was doing his most impressive stuff at Tory Pines like his ball would be completely buried yet he would be able to get the club underneath was kind of explained to me that like good balls will help any level of golfer and if you’re at a point where you don’t lose a lot of balls then you should feel comfortable like paying the piper for the good balls um because you don’t lose like you get I don’t know I don’t know if that makes sense but kind of like toally anecdotal but my experience has been that the only place where the really good balls make any difference for me is with it around the green oh no I see I off the te I don’t find there’s any difference it’s because you hit your driver like 80 yards now yeah I know but I I
