joining us first of all on behalf of everyone at Pensky entertainment the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the NTT Indie Car Series thank you so much for coming out and spending your fast Friday with us I’m Alan bestwick and we are about to conduct the draw for qualification order for the 1008 running of the Indianapolis 500m race so here’s how this works each of the 34 cars entered has nominated a representative some of the driver some of the owner some of the driver family some are sponsor Representatives but one at a time in the order in which they appear on the speed chart from the just completed fast Friday practice they get to come up here there are coins on this table they are numbered on the back side they have an 108th Indianapolis 500 logo on one side and on the back they have a number 1 through 34 each team’s representative will get called up they’ll pick a coin they will step to that microphone show the coin to the cameras and to us and to me and to you and tell us what number that is and that’s how we get on with business and we get ready to go so fastest in today’s practice session was Colton Hera in the gamebridge Honda for andred Global and so we want to call up Hannah O’Brien who’s the social media admin for andred Global Hannah’s very nervous I understand that it’s a big stage it’s all okay so did you hear the instructions you’re going to pick one coin you’re going to step to that microphone and then show the coin to the cameras and tell us what the number is are you ready and by the way how about the camera rigs social media admin right check it all out later on social all right here we go all 34 numbers are available Hannah says colon her to qualifies 29th yeah okay see this is half the fun of this thing because you people get it and I like that audience participation is great second fastest today was Kyle lson Kyle his wife Caitlyn and their kids are going to come up oh you’re going to get the whole Indianapolis experience here all right did you hear the instructions pick one coin step over to the microphone and then show it to us all okay let’s see what the number is survey says number six for so I know you’ve been interviewed like 100,000 times in the last 48 hours but what’s it been like it’s been fun it’s been uh incredible really I mean the crowds every day has made this uh feel extra special so um I’ve enjoyed the experience I’ve I’ve enjoyed being with Aon McLaren and and making laps and uh today was good so I think six is a good draw too so we’ll take that yes you’re doing a great job these people are loving it thank you for giving this a go and good luck tomorrow Kyle Larson is going to start the qualification from the sixth place in line next up the driver of the number two shell team Pensky Chevrolet he was third fastest today Joseph [Applause] newart all right there’s a lot of options out there step to that microphone and show us what it is it is number [Music] 10 now I’ll take that I don’t remember where you were in the line last year but if you’re looking for you were last okay so it’s better it’s way better this is this is like a victory right here I’m super happy I was very nervous to come up here I’ll take 10 thank you so right right out of the blocks today speed you said this morning in the press conference you you’d find out today if your team had made a step forward in qualifying I’d say so yeah I think look they’ve done a great job you know the speed around this place comes from an entire year of building a car you’re just not going to find it throughout the month if you show up and you don’t have speed it’s very hard to to bring the speed to the car so yeah uh team’s done a great job I feel optimistic about tomorrow but you never know until you know so we got I’d be shocked if one of our cars isn’t fighting for pole and he gave me a real hard time so I want to say I told you man I think we’re going to fight for a pole so very good great day today have here let’s see number one Kyle will be smiling as soon as he finds out about that he may even be back there I don’t know uh up next car 75 tumas for rayall Letterman Lanigan racing and Grace Lanigan is going to come up and pick what do we have number 26 26 don’t be offended by the booing it’s not personal 10th fastest today car number 14 Santino fuchi and the driver of the homes for our troops machine for AJ Point racing is here how you doing pal well we’ll talk to you after you pick your number so we’ll see if that smile’s still on your face what do you have let’s see uhoh number 13 lucky number 13 how’s your golf game going by the way yeah don’t ask I was in a golf forceing with Santino out here Sunday let’s just say it’s good that I talk for a living instead of play golf uh and it’s glad I drive cars for a living how that yeah I I get it believe me so how about today for a little while didn’t look like it was all together and then it came together man we’ve been struggling all week long we’ve just having things go here and there and uh finally last run we got clean four laps you know our homes for troops cars looking really quick and real spicy so be good for tomorrow we got to worry about the race car but uh the boys been working hard so uh no make sure you all get out there and help donate we’re raising $4 million for our vets post 911 vets man these are great
