welcome to the band Daniel podcast where we’re calling a spade a spade Caitlin Clark’s second game just finished up and if you guys watched it hopefully we all have the same thought process Christy sides is trash she needs to go again the Indiana Fever looked completely lost looked like from game one to game two they took their day off and they said hey how about we actually not install a game plan how about we actually not install any type of offensive scheme that will suit this team let’s just continue to pound it inside to Aaliyah Boston so she can go you guessed it five for 15 five for 15 but this is a ugly five for 15 folks this was an ugly five for 15 missed layups Point Blank layups missed mid-range shots Point Blank mid M range shots I’m talking right outside the paint Baseline mid-range shots missed no feel for a pick and roll yet Chris decides decides to continue to run the same stagnant offense play after play after play after play I’m repeatedly seeing Caitlin Clark cross half court I’m seeing two players on the free throw elbows usually [ __ ] benley usually Aaliyah Boston neither of them are setting screens for Kaylin Clark as she’s Crossing half court okay so they’re probably going to maybe set screens for each other maybe set screens for the two women in the corner maybe run some cross action maybe do something but guess what they do folks yep you guessed it they did absolutely nothing they Stood Still kayin Clark waiting for somebody set his screen nobody set a screen and then kayin Clark gave aah the Boston the ball and then what happens dribble dribble dribble dribble missed layup dribble dribble dribble dribble missed layup dribble dribble dribble missed layup this was every single possession folks this was every single possession Nelissa Smith couldn’t get anything going because we were too busy feeding the ball to Aaliyah Boston kayin Clark couldn’t get anything going nobody could get anything going Grace Berger didn’t even see the court ask me why I have no idea samelson looked kind of good zero rebounds zero assists zero steals zero blocks minus 28 plus minus you tell me Erica wheeler what’s going on I’m watching her look off kayin Clark only for her to air ball a three-pointer I’m looking her I’m watching her look off Kaylin Clark only for her to turn throw a turnover in the corner everybody who watched this game Saw what was up everybody who watched this game Saw what was up if you watched this game if you watched the first game you know Chrissy sides has no idea what to do with kayin Clark she thinks that Aaliyah Boston really is the answer I don’t know how I don’t know how she really thinks Aaliyah Boston is the answer five for 15 getting swatted like her life depended on it Brianna Stewart every time she brought it in there she said get it out of here Brianna Stewart two blocks John K Jones three blocks but the Indiana Fever actually made a run folks if you can believe it or not and guess who was on the bench Aaliyah Boston was on the bench guesss was on the bench Eric wheeler was on the bench [ __ ] benley was was in the game Kelsey Mitchell was in the game they bring it within 11 New York Liberty call a timeout guess what Chrissy side’s dumbass decides to do aiah Boston get back in there Erica wheeler get back in there and then the New York Liberty go on to beat the Indiana Fever 102 to 66 six outscoring them by 25 points in the fourth quarter after the Indiana Fever actually won the third quarter to take it within 11 and you people are and you people tell me that Aaliyah Boston is the answer you guys are telling me that Aaliyah Boston should be the focal point of the offense you guys are telling me that Chrissy SI actually knows what she’s doing cut it cut it out cut it out everybody watching that game will tell you kayn Clark Lissa Smith [ __ ] benley Kelsey Mitchell though and Grace Berger when those five were on the court together that’s when the Indiana offense looked the best that’s when kayln Clark looked her most comfortable that’s when you let [ __ ] benley play the the lob man spot I guess in NBA terms the Derek Lively role the Clint capella rooll the Nick Claxton roll and looked damn good doing it but instead Chrissy s would much rather just post a aah Bolson so she can catch it with nobody round her then take four dribbles and then get double teamed and turn the ball over and then get double teamed and force a bad shot and it’s not like we’re drawing fouls we went to the line once it’s not like Boston is even drawing fouls folks she went to the line one time that game and I’m being told the game is so Elite there’s so much talent blah blah blah blah blah okay I get it there’s so much talent but you know what can combat that good coaching how many times do the Miami Heat go up against a team that has more Talent than them but what does good coaching do and there it is this is ridiculous this is ridiculous the Boston Celtics how many times when Brad Stevens was the head coach of the Celtics the baby Seas how many times did they overachieve because of coaching cut it out everybody cut it out Christy sides needs to go I don’t care who the coach is but Christy sides cannot be the coach anymore she cannot be the coach anymore what we witnessed tonight was a travesty what we witnessed tonight was a travesty these people think Kaylin Clark’s going to come in and go 30 points per game no nobody nobody’s saying that we know she’s going to struggle but guess what let her struggle playing her own game don’t have her struggle playing somebody else’s game don’t have her struggle doing things she shouldn’t be doing why am I seeing her even standing in a corner for more than seven seconds at a time without running up to the ball and grabbing it oh that’s right because every time she runs up to get the ball Erica wheeler says [ __ ] back up and you can see the interviews it could be all nice I don’t care I’m telling you what my eyes see everybody can tell me how good aiyah balson is my eyes tell me otherwise my guy my eyes are saying she’s slow at a shape the team looked better when she was on the bench the team looked better with wheeler on the bench but she was so good at South Carolina she’s only in her second year I don’t care how about that how about that how about I don’t care this was a sold out crowd what’s the point of drafting Caitlyn Clark if we’re going to minimize her to something that she is not if we’re going to change her role if we’re going to run half half ass off ball motion if there’s one off the ball screen and we’re saying okay that’s enough if she’s passing and looking to get a dribble hand off and says no you’re not getting a dribble hand off Sam Lon played good in the whole first half where was she the second half of the game again Christy sides needs to go this is the Ben Daniel podcast where we’re calling a spade a spade didn’t realize I was here for 10 minutes already Christy sides needs to go I’ll hold off a couple more games before I start coming for Leah Boston but hey time’s ticking time is ticking but she’s only in her second year give her a
