hi folks it’s Tino here with the countdown to kickoff show I had of what’s said to be a pretty special afternoon at Celtic Park is Brendan Rogers and his team going pick up the Scottish Premiership trophy for a third successive season joined here for this one by Paddy Paddy your actal thoughts ahead of tomorrow yeah just um looking forward to a party at Paradise um I think after such a convincing display I think they’ll they’ll look to continue it even though a few of them might have still a be B of fog ahead after Wednesday night um and going out and celebrating afterwards but yeah just looking forward to congratulate the team at um at our home and I did it’s it’s filled with so many nice moments as well and again I just hope for a good performance that sets us up for for the final next week as well definitely we’ll get to team stuff shortly py but there is a a lot of suggestion online that you know should rest various players start by Scott Bane give call McGregor a break and I’m not convinced of any of that to bonus with but we’ll get to that just a we bit later on the piece I was watching the the Press conf just there with James forest and it’s great to see James Forest speaking about what’s been in his words one of the you know the best trophy ones and one of the hardest for trophy wins um in all of the trophies he’s won at Celtic which is 23 in total and see you just take a minute and think about that 23 trophies some guys get through their whole career and you’re lucky if you left one trophy whether that’s a league or a cup or whatever you left 23 is some going if you lefts the Scottish cup next weekend he’s second only to Bobby lnox in the oldtime list just that in general P it’s phenomenal stuff from James Forest it really is and I just think that you know we spoken infu someone like James Forest can have alongside K McGregor um when you look at those guys that are AR arriving at the the team and and trying to find their way find our way through a tough season there’s so many different factors that we faced and then you just have to look around who you’ve got niie and it’s it’s born winners um I think incredible to have someone like James Forest around with is still still even more so contributed um to the end of the season as well so yeah just an incredible achievement and um I think he will I think he going take take the record and the way he’s playing just now I think he’ll be involved next season as well personally it’s been such a turnaround and I don’t think we’re alone in terms of some of the discussions we were having maybe halfway through the season and when James’s name came up you were saying he’s been a great servant he scored in whatever it was 14 15 consecutive Seasons but it’s maybe time to run down the clock on James forest and you really need to admire him and credit him for what he’s done in terms of turn this around and to your point py he’s not just saying I’m here for now it looks like James Forest wants to be part of things moving forward which is brilliant when he was speaking there this afternoon don’t know if you’ve seen it but he he looked really confident and really relaxed and I think we’ve all seen plenty of James Forest interviews over the years he can be a we bit of the kind of quite a you know a nervous young guy and not quite looking at the camera these things he was really really comfortable in his own skin and and and that’s reflected on what he’s bringing on the park as well but one thing he mentioned I thought it was really notable was that it’s been a real team effort he was asked about you know the various coaches about Brandon Rogers coming in how his teammates responded generally speaking he was saying it’s been a there’s been a whole lot of unity and a real team effort to get it to this point and I think we can see that and we’ve certainly seen at py over the last I don’t know let’s say six seven eight weeks at least yeah we have we have I think you know I heard Rogers talking about it as well like I think we’ve kicked really from probably the end of February beginning of March we got two really really positive performances good results before the international break and I would say for me that that was a massive point in is basically saying right it’s a collective and not just the players not just the the coaching staff but the fans as well I think we were all buzzing for the international break to to to be over for us to get back and and playing again uh conin and displays from us so I just think yeah it’s it’s really really t to the full Squad like I include everyone even at the the side of it like I seen the scenes of the the dressing room on Wednesday and there’s guys that haven’t kicked a ball all season there’s guys that have been bit po but everyone was celebrating everyone was celebrating as a team which I think is pretty special py just just as you’re saying that a very relevant comment comes in from Patrick Duffy who says I was impressed by the way the likes of lager Bea Palmer Kobe Ashi and nroi joined in the celebrations the other night shows real Unity I think you can add to that list I think all was around um rockat definitely Tony D and Steven Wills they were kind of front and center and rightfully so just Celtic guys and I think that is a sign of the the unity within the squad within the camp and that all comes from the manager party that can’t happen by itself you need your manager to set the tone and he addressed these different players at different times and K McGregor who’s obviously has his onfield General will have done his thing as well to help out with that just the last point on James Forest at least for now was that he was questioned in the in the press conference about all the medals he’s got all the trophies all the shirts all the honors he’s picked up over the years and would it be great to had a Scotland shirt from a European Championship to the mix he said I’ve got one I was at the last year as with Scotland which he absolutely was as it happens that was his last appeares I think I he played one if not two of the games of of Scotland’s three games and what was the delayed 2020 the tournament obviously took place in 2021 and he’s not been around since and last question for you but I think it would be Madness real real Madness for Steve Clark not to include that kind of experience and talent in his Squad here he’ll be on the he’ll be on the list of potential I believe um I think it all just come down to who who Steve clar’s got available from his his um more recent squads I think he is very loyal uh Clark and I don’t think he really budges budges much about in terms of his selections but James James has not done himself any hard with his performances in the last few the last month um and he looks fit he looks comfortable um yeah I think I think he would be a great player to have around if not for a starler just but for for that experience and I said that that winning mentality um I think would be huge um but yeah I would love to see him on the plan for Scotland I think that would would really really help their chances in my opinion I think so too and I think he’s got a real chance so let’s keep the fingers crossed for James he makes that um paty just before you and I crack on me you know the various aspects of the pre-match show going to ask a question here to everyone that’s listening in it’s a question that we put out earlier on this afternoon on Twitter and it’s got a lot of replies and a lot of interesting responses the question basically was taking everything into consideration so your connection with the current team the noise throughout the season Financial rewards bragging rights Etc what is the most important title the more important title to have won the one that we’ve won this week the 2023 24 season or would you swap it for the the 10 in a row season inverted commas the 2021 season you can only have one you could have had the 10 but not this or you could have had this but not the 10 so let us know what you think in the comments be really interesting to hear your replies been a lot of variety in the replies that we’ve had P it’s been really interesting to see what’s your own response to that it’s a tough one ultimately I think that given obviously what had happened that year and given the the the the fact that the games were play without any fans um I would say that this title just brings itself like up up very close next to it but the magnitude of what we we’ve done what we had achieved with the N nine in a row and um what that would have meant for us going forward now listen we probably wouldn’t have seen an um I don’t know if new L would have hung around much longer as well to be honest um so it could have it could have mapped out a different path um had they went and done it um that title gave them a a bit reading space and it allowed them to kind of spend a little bit more than than they should have um but for for how many how many like squads did they get out of it probably two at Max um and and it’s starting to fail for them already so yes an incredible title win uh what we’ve seen this season but for me one and 10 in a row would have been one of the best things I’d ever witnessed in my life you still could py in seven years time but maybe we’re getting ahead ourself um someone on Twitter had said did we start singing the song again and I thought no let’s just just wait just wait too soon give it a couple of campaigns but what you’ve got py that you know it’s obviously a hypothetical question and there’s lots of if buts and maybe you know if you win that 10 you maybe never see an and the time under an was a special time for Celtic and actually it’s great to see him he’s come out this afternoon to say he was watching everything on Wednesday and he’s loving it he’s so pleased for some of the people up here and it’s it’s kind of as expected from an but it’s great to hear there there’s still that connection for him and but there’s lots about it you know that season’s been so up and down and it’s been it’s been brilliant to get this one over the line it really hasn’t you know we’re going to mark that tomorrow in terms of trophy day and stuff but as I say it’s been a great question we’re getting some good replies in so far um Patrick mlin Patrick good friend of the show he says actually 98 was the most important 98 was huge of course it was stopping H the potential 10 for Rangers but just in terms of this question you know asking specifically whether it’s this season or or the field 10 season for us so let us know H Jim Hunter says 10 will come in seven years time so I’ll take this one cheers cheers to Jim for his reply and various others coming in Mazar great friend of the show H he says for me it has to be this year purely for the financial game for us and the pressure now Amplified on Rangers they T would have been more of a personal domestic front can’t argue any of that and it’s it’s very relevant part the the finances that are on offer here we all know that it’s it’s ballpark 50 million and that’s what could kick off Celtic a different dimension if that’s not too dramatic in terms of how we could strengthen listen it remains to be seen what the board do but let’s give them every chance to do so and to back Brandon Rogers and we could be set for a really exciting period for Celtic there’s no getting away from that I wouldn’t say it’s given them a chance to know I would say that it’s what we expect personally I think that you know we’ve um we’ve learned a hard lesson this season in terms of our signing policy and I think um we’ve got a manager there that wants qual he’s asked for it from last summer he’s asked for it in the in the winter transfer window and I think that he’s um you know sign little little bit bits of movement I like Mark lble even been one of them I think is H things signs of the things are going in the right direction um so yeah I I say and I know where you’re coming from give them a chance to see how this summer goes but I think there is an expectancy not only from a manager but from us as fans as well I agreed and I do think that you know some at board level will be saying I hate to use this term that Celtic have got away on this season that’s that’s doing a disservice to everything that Brandon Rogers and the players have achieved but there’s no doubt we gambled with this season and I think it was a a poor gamble in terms of how we backed the manager in summer and then in January and I’d like to think that the pillers that be listen they’ve watched it as much as as we have and they want Celtic to win as much as we do but I think they’ll be looking on saying must do better must improve and must after what br Rogers has now achieved you must back him and I think py as I say it to be seen him we’ll watch it very closely in the coming weeks and months but it could be a really exciting summer for Celtic there’s going to be changes there’s guys who have run their course at Celtic and some periphery figures that will move on but obviously from a fan point of view you’re more often than not most excited about what comes in so let’s see what they do py let’s get to the game and we’re going to talk first of all about the goalie situation and that’s a situation the club very much need to address because we’re about to lose a huge figure a guy who’s been here now for three seasons and played a massive part for Celtic of course it’s Joe Hart and tomorrow is his very last game at Celtic park it was pretty emotional during the week at rugby park we’re going to see more of the same tomorrow aren’t we yeah I think so I think um again just watching every game he’s been playing he’s he’s really really soen every every moment of it up and when he went down injured the other day um I think he’s maybe kind of sprained himself I don’t know um what kind of happened in the landing and but obviously we’d seen your your Kar player come in behind him as well I don’t know if he just fell awkwardly because of that I I I got a little bit worried for him uh because he wasn’t moving too too like freely after it um and I could see a bit of concern from the the coaching staff and then all of a sudden you see Scott Bane coming out to get warmed up as well and I thought don’t don’t finish it here don’t don’t do that um but it’s just obviously a credit to the guy who gets up he gets home with it and um see the one thing that stood out for me again another video was doing the rounds is him turning that round so that the the fans are included in all the pictures I just think that’s the that’s the mark of the guy isn’t it he’s just he’s really bought into what this club’s all about he’s really bought into what this H winning mentality is again and um another video I’ve seen is the interview where he’s just been released from Burnley um and he’s just talking about you know listen it’s not to say that I’m worried or anything he says I just need to look at it differently and I just think that mentality like to to kind of think to yourself all right it’s not working here but it will work somewhere else where there’s so many out there that will say I can’t do this anymore you know I just think um inspirational in a sense um but I just I credit to the guy as I said like I’ve been one of the ones that I’ve said that it’s May time it’s coming at an end and and yeah we will miss him but um he’s he’s proved me wrong in a lot of ways in the cost as the title um an earlier part of the Season he’s he’s just turned it on I think I’ve said this before him coming out and saying I’m going to retire at the end of the season that didn’t just take weight off his own shoulders it took the weight off the rest his team and the manager as well I just thought what a time to do that what a what a little bit of inspiration to give your your team as well won’t do it for this guy w’t do it for this this servant so he’s been he’s been nothing but professional for his and I just wish him all the best in everything he does SP and P and you’ve used the term inspirational and I think that really applies the the video you’re talking about so he just been released by Burnley this is a guy who’s played 75 times for England he’s won the the Premier League twice with Man City and he was wondering about what’s next but the PC was actually speaking on it I think it was in the BBC but it was about mental heal in football you know he’d agreed to speak on on that basis you know saying that he’d had his own awareness of that era there was different things in his own life but he was very calm at that time it might well have been the case he’d have had to hang up the gloves but he basically said he was looking for someone to take a chance on him and maybe give him a new challenge and it’s slide Indo stuff it’s perfect storm stuff that Celtic were desperate for someone post barass and and saw F to to put real faith into joart I think most fans myself included to to a degree certainly raised their eyebrows at it you’ve ConEd P you weren’t sure yourself I think we’ve got who was it there Jim hun in the comment saying that he can’t believe how wrong he was about Joe har he’s been great since he arrived and you know there’s there’s a lot of folk that were in that school of thought but he’s going to look back so fondly in this you know that he’s going to be one of those guys for years to come that always references Celtic when he’s speaking I think it’s been confirmed now that he’s going to be in the on the BBC panel for the media for the the Euros for 24 and you know there’s going to be clips of him Raven about his time at Celtic which is great to see so listen of course we wish you all the very best with that but that will come in due course there’s two massive games ahead for him he’ll be he live mix feelings you know the guy’s got just over a week left of his his professional football career but he’ll be relishing everything that comes tomorrow and good luck to him there’s a few suggestions um in terms of what Celtic might want to do in terms of goalie stuff Steven Ray suggested Danny Ward who’s got a year left in his Leicester deal I think he was on loan abine pass done fairly well m r is the Australian goalkeeper 32 years of age and actually they’re bang on ages for goalie I mean we signed joart at 34 33 and he gave us three really good Seasons I think age profile that would be fine you don’t need the 25 26 27 year old but we’ll see what happens and there’s another comment another suggestion um from Doc 1976 Doc and he says shows we mean business let’s throw 10 million at norch for Adam and as Angus gun the Scotland goalie and that might be interesting as well but we’ll get to all that there there’s plenty of time to kind of sort out the goalie situation if the club haven’t already solved it pad and I think there’s probably some inquiries already on the way there so Joe heart starts as always what’s your back four py back four will be the same as well um yeah aliser Johnson who thought it’s a really really strong performance on Wednesday night um and yeah a car of viers scales and and Greg Taylor another strong perform performance from him on Wednesday as well so names itself up but know I think so um P I mentioned this in the postmatch with James but how would you have responded had Liam scales 25 yard at the back of the night on Wednesday so one of the guys we go to the football with we we Nicki um he’s an advocate for scales you know I think he’s of the the same opinion as us of you know it’s not his fault that this is where our our backline is at and credit to him for for showing up and being part of the season and as a massive credit to him but he’s standing next to we Stevie who isn’t a huge fan of Le skills H in the minute that short left his foot oh I could have only imagine what it would have been like if it went in what a hit what a great hit great H and it’s a great save as well keeper done well there um you’re absolutely right you’re putting a m let you say Stevie is not a big fan of Li skills but I think Liam skills we covered it in the postmatch but just to reiterate he deserves all the credit going listen whether Liam SKS is a future or not who knows you know we don’t have of that right now but I think he can be hugely proud of his efforts and some guys will pick up medals for being bit part players and and that’s absolutely fine as well there’s Merit in that but he’s played a huge part P I think he’s played close to 40 games maybe even more than 40 games now and he’s absolutely earned his medal and he’s earned his place in Celtic history yeah he has and and just an incredible achievement for him um I just think H as I said I’ve been one of his critics this season um with with without a doubt but as I said i’ still I still see the weaknesses down the left hand side for Celtic I still think teams can get at us but nothing that he’s he’s p through this season and and stood up stood up when it mattered and I think that um I wish him all the best I’m sure he will be at seled next season with that contract um and I wish him all the best on everything that he does in football as well I just don’t think he’ll be our starting second half next season maybe maybe not let’s see we we’ll get to that in Du course p in the Midfield I’ve spoken about Joe Hart potentially having his last game at Celtic par tomorrow is it matter Al could be could be could also be rattis as well um I thought Rio hatti cut a lonely figure in the celebrations again um which I don’t know if he was taking it all in but I kind of watched them when the players were all together um at the at the advertising board to obviously celebrate his winning the league he was he was kind of hanging back H from that so I I don’t know I don’t know as I’ve said about Matt Riley I would I would love another season from him and actually something in me tells me that he would love another season with Celtic as well so that’s the only little glim of hope that I have that he kind of says right one more and then and then let’s go and see what I do let’s go and see where I go because there’s plenty of Suits out there um I think his performances since H Lawrence Shanklin one player the year um just BL that out the window straight away like he should he should have been player the year for the whole of the country as well um but yeah just an incredible professional an incredible attitude um that he shown this season as well and we speak about a little dip of form um after the the transfer window shut he was still contributing massively in some of our games as well you know it’s just it wasn’t 90 minutes of what we’ seen in the first half of this season he’s a he’s an incredible player um and I always said in the first season there’s another couple of levels I want to see for this guy I still don’t think he’s the Finish article it seems as if he could still get better and that’s that’s the crazy thing I think he has got better than those two years and I think that playing at a higher level I think he’ll be he’ll be in that de Mar Squad no problem yeah and you know at 23 years of age there’s there’s huge scope for potential and there is still a a feeling among some and I’m in this camp and it was you that made the Sugg P if he makes the Danish Euro Squad while still a Celtic player you might just see really hang about for that wee bit longer and and that would be good to see because if we really want to develop in Europe at one point you need to hold steady and keep a hold of these talents and matter Le certainly one of the top talents it C take at the moment there’s a a question from Patrick mlin Patrick ask asks do you think Joe Hart should be captain for the day which leads us on to the the next man in the Midfield and it’s Kum McGregor it’s a very decent suggestion I can understand the reasons for it but Callum McGregor deserves to lead the team out on trophy day doesn’t it P yes but I can see where where Pat’s coming from as well I can I could understand another another little rest for McGregor in terms of you know how well he’s played in the last couple of weeks but maybe just keeping him fresh for this final I I wouldn’t be against Joe har let been able to do that I definitely think both of them will lift the trophy tomorrow um but yeah I I would be against it I would be against that I think we’d all be up for it but I think it’s call McGregor’s decision isn’t it I’m sure the management they may have a you know him and Brandon Rogers may have a chat about it but if K McGregor wants to say listen I’m I’m the club Captain he’s well within his rights and there’d be no issue I’d be pilling rank to honest with you there’s only so many times you can lead Celtic I hosted the weekly show to be fair so that’s that’s fair enough that’s I hear you but let’s see but I think you’re absolutely spot on in terms of when it comes to lifting the trophy we’ll most likely see K McGregor to one side Joe har to the other and that’ll be a special moment in itself so I think you agreed Pat cak m r as a Midfield three just on that thinking alone you’ve picked the defense youve picked the Midfield you don’t think gen generally speaking that Brendon rers would be a of a mind to rest anybody with with next week in mind um again the only ones I would maybe think is that he he potentially goes with with the rest for K McGregor but you make a good point with it being trophy day as well um I think alata deserves a lot of credit for this season as well um and yeah I wouldn’t be surprised if if we see him start tomorrow too I don’t think he’ll want to change too much to be honest I think he’ll want to keep that momentum going and make sure that they’re all ready for for the game next week um because I tell you what if we play anything like we did on Wednesday it should be our cup it should be yeah there’s huge huge momentum and confidence course through Celtic just now you have seen some of the comments uh from the players after the game on Wednesday and I think K McGregor led the way with this one he says they’re playing like it’s the start of the Season there’s a freshness and a and an energy about Celtic and you’ve got be careful about making too many changes that P you can obviously see the the rationale behind saying let’s start Scott ban to protect uh Joe har let’s start a water to protect cmak let’s make various changes but you’ve got to be careful with the disrupting the flow there’s a real Rhythm about what we’re doing and you don’t want to put the breakes on that don’t you no of course you don’t I think even when it came to the the Scottish cup run this year Joe har wasn’t giving up much you know he wanted to play in every game and I think that there’s there’s not many players that can actually really come in and and and allow those players to have a rest um I think the the ones probably our Midfield could be covered um but I don’t think there’s much happening in the wings as as much as we would hope as well and certainly not in defense um with the the trust with those guys it doesn’t seem to be there he want the momentum to continue he want a win tomorrow um and as I said A week in between rest I think it’ll be a strong team I agree I think that’s what we’ll go with I mean it wouldn’t be the first time we’re both completely wrong as well so we’ll see what tomorrow brings but I think he’ll go strong with potentially one or two tweaks you know to be smart about things but I don’t see many but let’s see um up top so the the surprise calling it wasn’t a huge surprise I suppose was Adam get the role H number nine I thought he was exceptional against kamalak P I was talking to James about this Celtic break the high press very well at this moment in time the defense supported by K McGregor oril and hatti they’ve got a real smart way of of beating the high press when teams come out as aggressively and our own third of the park but at times when Celtic couldn’t quite find that pass particularly when it came to Greg Taylor side for whatever reason a just clipped up into an area where Adida was usually around about the halfway line and he was having that battle with d and he was just strong holding up rolling him off and it’s what led to I think the first and the third goals you know his all round forward play he’s just a very different type of player from kugo they’ve both get you know their unique skill sets as front men but they both can can play an effective part for Celtic so what do you think I’s listen he’s a modern day Target man but what he’s he’s really fast he’s really fast for a guy size if he gets the ball away from you he’s away um I think um for me I still think it’ll be kyogo that will start tomorrow um but I wouldn’t be surprised if if he’s given 30 minutes either um and I still think it will be K go for the the final as well I really do I think um we got it right on on Wednesday with play and giv the wean a rest um but I think for these these two two final games it will be kyogo um but my God what a performance of M on Wednesday he was excellent it was brilliant you know I think he might need to rest either tomorrow because he was given it large on the karaoke with Steven Welsh by the on Wednesday night there’s footage of that down the rounds but it was good to see the players enjoy themselves job he’s not a great Chan but having fun all the same um so yeah so it’s a tossup isn’t it whether it’s it’s kyogo or either I think it’s kyogo and I with you I think it’s Kyo next week for the cup final but both players have both got big parts to play against s and then definitely against Rangers on the wings py the manager shown great faith recently um in James Forest as I mentioned he was up for Press today and dies in MAA what a guy is it those two again tomorrow or does Nicholas Kon get an odd does Palmer get an odd both obviously featured off the bench on Wednesday just with how good they’ve been I think you know that that they’re likely to be targeted a bit more I wouldn’t be against resting both of them and allowing Palmer and C to come in but I also don’t want to pull them out from how well they’ve both been playing again I just thought both of them are outstanding on Wednesday um ideally would love them to play 90 minutes tomorrow but I’m also just thinking I want them fresh for this cup final too so I’m being selfish maybe I would be against Palma or h k starting tomorrow but I wouldn’t I wouldn’t drop both forest and Ma yeah one or other I think that the big plus is that After Tomorrow there’s a full week of prep but also a bit of rest and Recovery in there so the the risk is a injury but injury can happen any time P you can get injured at training you know these things can happen and I think Brandon oders I say we’re luant to make too many changes knowing that he’s got that weak of recovery if it’s required but yeah I agree just generally speaking across the boardre I think we’re going to go pretty strong and and we’ve got good options in reserve it would just be really interesting to see how Brendon Rogers uses his bench tomorrow someone made the suggestion that Joe har will start but potentially come off for Scott ban and therefore he’ll get the the stand in Ovation you know that stuff does come into the thinking on a day like tomorrow um and you might see other changes maybe at halime rather than waiting for the 60 Minute Mark so we’ll see it’s going to be an interesting day in terms of of all of that what about s p just you know a short and kind of small focus on them like Kik they’ve had a pretty decent season by their own standards how do they approach this you know they’ve got the motivation Grant Wednesday’s game that they can spoil the party and I think that is a motivator for a team you know that’s not to be anti- Celtic you just you don’t want to lose the title in your own patch so I can see where Kaman were coming from from with that one but there’s no such uh option for someone tomorrow they know they’re coming to a party whether they like it or not so how do they approach this as a game of football well I think with the sounds of it it was a bit of a party um and basley on Wednesday as well just celebrating such a successful season for them um I think they’ll come and enjoy the game um would I beis if they come and try and play football against us no actually because Robinson’s got them play some decent stuff this season H I think that it would be it would just be a bit of a boring last day you know it’s a bit of a it’s a dead rubber for both teams and I think I would hate for them to sit in and try and get a draw or something like com com have a game of football you know and yeah likely we we’ll probably go win if that’s the case but it’s also nice just to see a technical side of Scottish Football other than uh let’s just lump it and hope we can get him behind um so yeah a great season for them um and they deserve to be qualifying for Europe as well as well as karok just really really good performances from both and so no I think I think it be a bit of a party tomorrow for both teams yeah yeah maybe so they’ve got some very capable players I really like Mar Marco Hara for example you know he’s always shown up well keano bakis you know various others there I’m looking at their form here they’ve they’ve only had two wins in the last nine so they’ve kind of to a huge extent started their way to to fifth place or two wins one was over St M sorry one was over aine for M back in the start of March and one was over dunde a few weeks back they drew two each Hearts there H during the week which is a pretty credible result and that’s obviously what’s put them where they are but there’s a there’s also a feeling py that it will be job done as you say that they’re com now they six points clear of donee so they they’ve absolutely nailed down that that fifth Spore and to an extent asked this question as well of kok but to an extent could you understand if some of the players might have you know w foot on the beach already yeah but I really could and some of them will probably be reluctant to to go in the way maybe go into tackles um I I just think that it’s it’s one of those games where both both teams will will I think go out and enjoy a g of football I really do I don’t see Robson try to play tactics or anything slow the game down I just think it’ll be a good game I think so too and it’s an opportunity as you say it’s it’s a free hit for S to go and express himself Go and show your your fans and your manager what you’re capable of listen you do have this situation where some guys will be playing for their Futures you know for contracts next season whether that be M or Beyond so Professional Pride will kick in and I think that itself should lead to a pretty decent game of football P just a short Focus um before I get your final thoughts a short focus on Brandon Rogers I suggested to James uh yesterday that the Redemption Arc is just about completed you know obviously came in and he spoken last week about the awkwardness of coming in knowing that he wasn’t welcome by all parties potentially H one guy on our podcast in particular is’s not here right now um so yeah so you know famous line I’ll see here in in May Come May he’s standing out front of Celtic park at half 11 on a Wednesday night knowing that he’s done the job what do you think is he is he just about fully back in the gang I think it’s maybe 99.9% in my opinion H I was laughing the other day at rby Park and one of the the guys for the the bus that meth is on guy called George was H holding his phone up in recordon when the fans were singing the song and I was I say to him I was like I wonder where that’s going and he said it’s going straight to him he’s sending the video straight to M I think uh yeah just listen it’s been a it’s been a long old time I think that as we have seen this kind of season transpire we’ve seen the last few seasons transpire I think there was a lot more to what happened with Brandon Rogers than than we’ll ever know um it’s very easy for us to jump to conclusions and include myself in that as well I was very surprised when he he was touted to come back and we got him absolutely I think his uh his managerial ability is is probably one of the best in the UK never mind in this country and I think that he’s um he’s gonna he’s do well for us I think we’ll get to three seasons from him um but if he’s backed if he’s backed I think that’s the the big the big key for Brendan Rogers and listen he’s he’s basically got us over the line and I think it’s like a pretty much like the bit the Gladiator where he’s probably Center the board you’re not entertained you know so give them the money go back them let them go and and do something when this team in Europe the fans are crying out for it fans are crying out for wins fans are crying out for progression um we can go we can win our league every season we can make hard work of it to to bring the fans back in but ultimately you know there’s been one thing we’ve wanted for a long time and it’s say to really push on in European competition it has got to be the next big Target party it was so important I asked that question at the top of the P about winning this title versus winning the 2021 title but the the the pressure and the the real focus on this title has been sharpened by the riches at stake you know if Celtic w win that you’re gift rapping that for your for your Rivals and for Celtic to pick up that kind of money they they must they must back the manager and it’s bizarre actually that a manager of Brendon Rog just standing in the game he’s hugely respected and for a manager of that caliber to almost have to rearn you know re Stripes this season he spoke about being treated like a novice by some I think in the media over the last 10 months or whatever it’s been since he arrived here 11 months was it June it was confirmed so he’s had to almost start again and that in itself I think would jar with you and I think that’s given Brendon orgers the the incentive and the bit between his teeth you know the story came out semi recently now saying you know we’ll write our own story this season and that was just a you can all do what you want see what you want we know interally the strength we’ve got here as a group and he’s gone and proving that and what I think py is exciting about next season is that he spoken in the last few days post tell one there about the many things he’s had to manage this season there’s been issues with Le laada with the green Brigade with the transfer window with Mark lell with various things good girl gate all that kind of stuff there’s been so much going on it’s been a noisy old season and I think what you do have to look forward to next season hopefully it’s a season where Brandon Rogers can just go on with a job of coaching Celtic and managing his team of players the external noise at times will come as as part of the gig as Celtic manager but I think the more he can be allowed to focus on his players and improving them and un prepping them for what what should be a really exciting new format for the champions league as well you’ve got eight games against eight different opponents P I think that’s it’s maybe a last throw of the dice by UF make it more exciting and try and stop any sort of European Super League but that’s a future conversation right now Celtic be part of that and that in itself is hugely exciting so if Brendon Rogers is backed as I say will watch with real intent in terms of who comes in and get really excited about what the the future could hold for the next few seasons yeah I think so and listen he’s he he sometimes thrives on the on the focus to be honest if the focus is on him if the focus is on something else other than the football I think he um he really does get a I kick out of that in terms of motivation um so I know where you’re coming from in terms of you that should all quiet quiet and down but there were all there will sorry there will always be something in this in this country with their media I think the narrative this season is created through arrogance more than anything um arrogance of it wasn’t a strong Rangers team that he faced the first time round um he’s go he’s going through the motions um and arrogance of this uh this narrative that it’s only Rangers that can lose this league title give him all of that that is ammunition to that guy he wants that all the time and and listen he knows how to win this league and for him success I think when he finishes his his time with Celtic he’ll look back in the trophies he’s won absolutely but one thing he wants to get right is European football so he needs to be back I think it’s a a real B and desire for him and it’s it’s very natural that it would be the case you know the trophy you know the success in the league there that’s been confirmed the other night that’s that means eight out of the nine trophies he’s entered here in Scotland he’s won and obviously we won the couple when he left as well he would have picked up H the end of the third season’s trophies and if he wins the Scottish cup that’s nine out of 10 that’s that’s incredible stuff we speak about dominance but that really highlights Celtics dominance in general but certainly Brandon Rogers dominance nine trophies out of 10 would be just out of this world and he needs to look at what’s next he’s a driven individual he wants to push himself he wants to leave the game whenever that may be in the the years ahead however long he decides to stay as a manager for and reflect back and say I took that Celtic side from here way up to here in terms of the European standing and restoring our reputation in Europe is huge P it’s a real focus and Brandon Rogers I think it is very driven to make sure that’s the case moving forward and as I say we’ll cover all of that and and lots more stuff and of the the preseason stuff we’re doing you know as M think we’re already looking to to summer time and the break and all that stuff but there be loads of shows coming from us in terms of previewing what we hope for and expect in the the season ahead but they here now py there’s a trophy to be lifted tomorrow at Celtic Park so your final comments on what we can look forward to on trophy day I think um it’s moments like this season that makes you realize the efforts over the last what 24 years when you’ve seen the a Neil stuff kind of come up and obviously the the season was we stopped to 10 I think it’s moments like tomorrow you you take in what what it’s all about um utter dominance in that time the trophies we’ve won um as a fan growing up I can remember I slightly in the 90s I remember like the frustrations of my dad and and my brothers and sisters going through that my uncles as well and I remember the Jubilation it was starting the 10 um and what an important mark that was we speak about Anil doing doing the thing for Celtic but whim Jansen takes the credit as well in my opinion um but to go and watch my team and and watch such a successful side over these last 24 26 years uh I’m a very lucky boy that way i’ agree P I think well and I think I mentioned the trophy Hall you know the figures are down the rounds just now it’s 18 titles out the last 24 it’s six trebles within that it’s six doubles it’s nine in a row and I think it’s 38 trophies in total it’s it’s mindblowing stuff P I get so excited about the morrow and so excited about next season in Europe and all that stuff I forgot to get your score line prediction so what are you going for for tomorrow 5 no Celtic again 5 no and Celtic five s m in the last day is a pretty memorable one for those that can recall 1986 it’s hard P not to agree with a scoreline of of that nature Mazar in the comments has gone for six now du Allen’s gone for seven now I don’t know what I’m going to go big I’m going to go big I’m going to go six I’m gonna agree with maelle I think it’s it’s set for another big day it’s just the momentum Paddy I I can’t see past it I can’t can’t see anyone stoping it and also I maintain a point I made ahead of Kik that Joe har will be taking real pride and going all out to get clean sheets with with two games left of your career he’ll be really really motivated to make sure that he doesn’t concede and I think he’s defense will be the same so I’m going to go for something to know and why not go for six um P I’ve got your final comment so I’ll not ask for any more from you thanks as
