golfer on the austral AG PGA Australian tour just qualified for the open the 150 first open in uh Royal Liverpool this year Hayden Baron Legend absolute star we a freeway said public course beautiful the pro out to a public course get them in our uh get them into our territory and see how they go how do you think you’re going to go on the you used to be playing all around the world you’re coming up to playing in the open later in the year in um in England yeah how you going to go on my territory today don’t know I think these public cses sometimes are fair bit tigh here we go you know it’s pretty short but you got to hit it straight so if if I’ve got it straight off the tea then you you’re going to be in some serious trouble yeah I think so so um he was telling me the car as well last week he hit 410 M Drive 440 440 yeah 440 okay that’ll be interesting bit of a wind assistance but we just let you know this this hole is 3204 at the moment so we’ll see how that goes um we’re playing today match play so we’re playing nine holes your of plus six is your handicap that you play home so that’s you’ve literally shooting six under to hit par I’m off 16 at the moment um so if I done my ma correctly basically if I plus that together it’s a handicap of 22 we’re Haring that CL 9 so I’m going to be off 11 and you’re off zero y happy with that sounds good so on the two hardest holes of the nine I’ll get two shots everything else I get one match play Boom good luck let’s do it let’s go yeah let’s do it I don’t know what this flip T thing is yeah it’s a new thing we your first right good luck that’s some warm up today um D wouldn’t let me go to the range cuz he’s too afraid so had to crack the back on the first see how we go we got a uh 330 M power4 here looks pretty straight on which is uh easy in some ways but we got to hit it dead straight so see how we go first swing out the car no warm-ups no warm-ups for us right more green we just go straight in straight in we don’t need warm-ups that looks good it’s a little left I think that could have should be good that should be pretty good first swing you’re pretty Happ with it it’s more about the approach shot that’s where I come into it I’m that as we know I’m a wedge master so he he might be able to hit a long drive but can he have the finesse that I have left it’s um it came off the Club well though Tre line doesn’t look too thick you might be all right yeah we’ll see how we go um I’m not liking this first solo that was a pretty big drive from big b h a tree well in the middle of them so you yeah 120 120 just a little bit off the Fairway here 120 on a downward sort of uh shot um holes over here so I just got to go over the trees put on 120 I’m going to get 9 it’s going to naturally move a bit right with the ball that far below your feet it’s so aim left um I would say I’m Ley you don’t know where the ball’s going anyway so it doesn’t really matter does it oh boy I hope you get two shots here cuz you’re going to need them what rating was this you don’t fantastic go to the next shot mate I’m I’m going to punch this one off the back foot just run it up I’ll run it up there it’s out it’s just broken my club as well all right so we just looked at the indexes to figure out what whole deal gets two shots on so index one 2 3 and five are all in the back n so he’s going to get two shots on index 4 and index 6 which is the first and the second hole so I get two on this two so basically we’re actually even now then yes so we’re actually even from here W Master though wedge Master this is where I sort of play my best so let’s put this on oh that actually looks pretty oh bit a r on that what a come back bit a r so we’re whole High we’re just um a little bit left but in a pretty good spot really it’s kind of some shortish rough so shouldn’t have any issues there is this a bump and run for you or you putting a bit of height on it here no I want a much he just cuz it’s like on a bit of a down slope and it’s sitting down fractionally so it be like bounce a little bit of Spin and then just release out landing on that down slope too it’s going to feed a bit left or [Music] right oh wow not bad not as much uh break as I thought but we got a birdie chance it’s okay so putting for bogey here and he’s gone for birdie so I need to make this a chicken left on that mate yeah I had warm that you know in match play we’re allowed to give gim but I’m not giving you that okay solid so that leaves me this for the wiim oh too too very ni One up and he just snailed me h two um B took the win so he’s one up in match play what a path through here 136 m the flag really nice bunker rage at this have a quick look at that D it’s pretty cool don’t want to end up there but um looks awesome so yeah B is hitting a what do you a soft nine uh it’s going to be pretty much like a a stock nine stock n with no warm up I’m going a hard seven just a smooth seven for you mate yeah you just need to bring yourself [Music] back catch it C it I forgot to mention as well I’ve actually got two shots on these too so these are my two first hes two shots on them long left no good oh come on baby oh [ __ ] it’s a chip off it’s a chip off same spot mine was better though we just roll it up that worked out really well good job I meant that it’s not very pretty here with uh we got a pretty Sandy Li trying to pitch it somewhere into that bank which is on a pretty severe angle so Stills uh deals in a pretty good spot I got my 60° here which I’ll kind of turn it down a bit keep it a bit flatter and make sure it kind of pops up that bank well just about getting good contact really from here oh W bit much b a tricky one here what are you saying well it looks like it should go right to left but the last kind of 3 or 4 ft is definitely straightening so this has to go in deals in a good spot got my new morg greens marker there really just looks apart in the grain looks beautiful is that straightening I was talking about I need this in too just cozy one up there that’s good you can pick that [Music] up another path three the path R here are awesome um really impressed with this course to be honest so yeah I’m going to go an A9 make good connection and get up there how’s the swing looking since we played last time you’re looking a little bit less ugly um I would say those trees are in in grave Danger on this one get up scared him away from the trees that’s pretty good though I think it’s just in the rough I’ve got a uh I’ve got a wedge now this one’s a little bit downwind the last was a fraction in so see if I can get away from that pool that I hit in the last one right that’s it all right that’s okay that’s okay that’s going to be a sick camera angle from SK it’s reallyit in the head just off the green I’ve got a left to right I’m going to pretty much aim for scooter here and just bring it around to to the right oh go that’s good go shot shot you need this big man’s coming to play after his uh after his double down the first he’s back so we got downhill here left right for probably the first 80% of it and then it’s going to straighten again a little bit at the end as it go kind of goes off the green there but I give him a shot and he’s made race so it has to go in [Music] don’t you do that was the 80% I was hold on on that was a that was a that was a good part should have SED me you put the pin back in take it home I was going to take it home my first p take it home for a momento 226 power for I get my driver on a good day 220 why don’t you hit it you’re I just go hand edge here just to kind of open the angle up a little bit try and work a little draw there I think we should be able to get this um over that bunkering onto the green hopefully it’s about 2:30 to there’s a chance again all of a sudden it’s golf you never know you just didn’t know this was a pen I didn’t need to take my last technically you’ve got two two driver length from point of entry from landed just on the edge of the grain there and falling down to the left here starting to um starting to rain a bit so that’ll probably make the ball skip a little bit more Through The Fringe a little bit easier and Dill’s um Dill’s sitting prety I’m going to have to make up and down here to win this I think who would have thought I’s already played 15 shots but anyway right that’s the rules oh No don’t worry about it all right so all of a sudden I’ve got this to half bit right to left up the hill deserve not happy with that that’s a winter 21 you’re and you got snailed no you two up or one up you got snailed as well I think you’re two up two up all right we’re on the 7th at the m I’m two up through four holes bit confusing cuz we skipped a couple holes a bit of Maintenance going on at the the braen the half no didn’t think so no that’s my that’s my shape I’m going to lay up here and just take on the wedge Master with a wedge I feel like you’ve got nothing left to give D I’m going three again got to kind of get something cutting around this tree here should be good yeah uh we’re about what 20 M don’t you reckon well I mean you probably wouldn’t know you you didn’t have kick many goals but I used to kick him don’t you reckon this you would you look like you’d be able to kick a footy here really easily that pin’s 49 M away so that’s kicking on the J and the pretty much 20 M for me in golf and in all right let’s put this CL dancing pretty good dancing take that pretty good all right I’ve got 43 M just in the rough here so generally makes it a little bit tougher to spin it but still stop pretty quick so we got a really good angle no reason why we can’t hit one in there nice and close let’s try bounce one up there little bit of spin stop it up next to the pin your pace has been pretty average though no it hasn’t that last one was uh we say it was lucky that it hit the pin a trying to get in my head it won’t work so so it all right I got to make something happen cuz I’m two up par three here 123 123 I got a 99 um I just want to connect nicely with this shop that’s my that’s my aim um but I’m feeling good one of us is going to hit all oh safe get up oh nice dancing dancing for me it’s um kind of R in between a wedge and a gap wedge so we’re going wedge I don’t want to spin something off the front here we’re going wedge just try and Chip one down with a bit of a straighter flight on it see if we can’t get one in there close he’s a little L that he so close got to kick off the hill as well I was really hoping that was going to go in about to save my best stuff till last so give him a full sense of hope early and bang right there come B pretty close I’m going to have to put this close but I’ve been a lot better with the putter today actually um I’ve left a few shorts I’m going to not leave this one a short I’m going to go at it I’m looking good for bird when you’re putting as well you just want to have that one single stroke people ask me how do you putt one stroke straight over oh what bit faster this green must be it’s in the sunlight dries up quick that might be the worst part I’ve ever seen still you mate you want in or out out please oh ni puts the pressure on oh you need to make this to win feel like this is to like win a tny one down back in the game to go back in the [Music] game got 270 about 255 front edge what do you hit that free about 260 in the air 10 or so either way depending on the slight mhm so if I land this on the grain it’s going to hold sometimes like on the therm grain if you land on the grain you’re dance off yeah so this is going to this is going to wedge in though [Music] so I hit that horrible go no bounced up oh my God bounced up onto the green right of it he’s on the green just right of the oh my good shot look that stealth two stealth 2 tailor made stealth 2 just hit it right in the middle of that carbon fiber plate as you can see 60x carbon twist face carbon wood stealth 2 speed pocket 102 just short of the green I’m very happy with that um drive so I’ve got to put this close I’m going to I’m just going to get up in there hopefully and get it near FL no r no R I was hoping for a bit of backs spin too long we just R of the graen here not a bad little shot good spot to be we’re going to put it up that um up that Ridge and then it’s just going to track down to the left when it gets on the green going to hit the PA so if your stance or your swing is impeded then you get free relief good love there you go it it just feeling The Brak here in my feet is what a lot of us do out on tour so uh did you break it there’s a fair bit of right to left in it this way I feel like I can have a few parts here and I’m still going to win this hole l make this to [Music] half back to draw it’s good for the there and then just hopefully it sort of Curves around a little bit oh line I think that’s going to be pretty good in the trees I it’s over sneaky pretty good didn’t mean that at all but um could be okay we’ll see I already know what I’m doing here so I’m here I’m through a lot of the trees and I actually found a good little trick with this it’s a it’s a hybrid off the back foot keep low and just punch it yeah so I’m going to do that for the best I’m just going to see it I reckon I’m just going to hit the lip of that Hill through there and then see what happens where’s the actual hole so what are your thoughts on De show you go for it I reckon leave nothing be down a Shar there that was nearly an expensive shot deal I think it’s good now faway interesting interesting wasn’t the Gap I was on this two it’s the hardest on the course but I’ve said to to B we’ll um do one shot so let’s see how it goes all right here we go I’m going to do something good here B there you go that needs to sit though I think right over’s head oh no you know what I just realized today what that when I hit my best D Tempo yeah it’s all about the tempo you come back slow and and then come through I’ve just realized that in the last hole yeah all right so this one’s are this is a bit of a quirky hole so I’ve got my trusty 4 on out I’m just going to hit it um just left of that tree up there in the Fairway still going to leave me maybe like a 99 in but there’s just a bit going on I don’t really like this t- shot so sometimes you just got to lay it back a bit oh it’s really really nice oh slow and steady Winds of race it’s a really nice shot Tempo mate yeah Tempo exactly I I could nearly get it over well you could but you could even if you wanted to pitch here you get it way down near those like near those people yeah still on our hole but it’ll open up your angle a bit yeah what’s the rules on power lines you get to fre you to if it hits you you have to take it again you have to take it again regard even if it’s good y I might hit my nine do we know how far we’ve got yeah not not for a long time might for a good time good layup 144 left back right pin kind of blocked out by those trees a little bit can’t really see it but um we’re just going to hit a little nine iron and try and kind of haul one up into that back right pin oh go again it was all over it hit the power line [ __ ] that was all over it so what’s the rule go again so yeah you have to go again you have to go again yep no choice see if I can do the same thing again get the power on again did it really yeah at least I know my uh my starting line on my trajectory is pretty similar all right so I’m now playing my third Ball but I’m playing my second shot still oh go I think it’s short don’t know if we hit the power line again or what we’ve made a bit of a mess here regardless don’t forget to chop your divit in guys makes the grass grow back nice let’s zaz this up yeah was that power line brother looks all right check out the Dem on that come on show your Stu where’s the sand so after um a couple unfortunate bounces this is my this is my third attempt all three drops so so only playing my third shot here Dill’s close and he’s putting for four which is net three so I’ll have to make up and down and Hope doesn’t make it going to go for a bit of a higher one here land it on the green there nice and soft not today brother not going to make it ah oh all right what do you got two you sto smiley face off me you saw it off me you thr the smiley face off me I told him about the smiley face on the ball and he’s copyed me that’s great a professional golfer star copied me on the smiley face that’s really cute you got me you love that look at it it’s pretty cute right remember to always small let’s get that you’re really looking for besides the open like what does that open up to if you go well in that which you will where do you need to finish to then qualify for everything else yes I’ll join the DP World Tour as like a temporary member um and then obviously whatever points I make from that week can go towards my ranking and then hopefully that can open a few more doors we love it open doors
